Newbies & Hosts - please read before you offer to Host

If you are going to offer to Host a TV, please consider the following:

1.  Each TV belongs to someone else on the site.  If you disappear with someone else's TV you are, in effect, stealing someone else's property.  PLease make sure that you are prepared to update/ photograph and, most importantly, send on a TV if you receive it.

2. Please make sure you are able to pay postage costs before you offer to Host.  If postage costs will be an issue for you, then keep your hosting to a minimum (decided by you - e.g. one TV per month) or only offer to Host if you know you can send the TV on within your own country/ continent.

3. Please expect people to ask for contact details, including email addresses and postal addresses.  And please expect that Members will chase you up if you disappear from the site whilst still Hosting their TV.

4.  If you are a newbie - please do set up your own ToyVoyager, and do some Travelog updates for it before sending it out to Hosts.  This way, people can see that you are involved on the site, and they will also see what sort of Host you will make.  Doing your own updates will give you a feel for whether or not you will enjoy Hosting, and sending out your own TV lets people know that you are happy to 'share' something that belongs to you, as well as to give something of yourself in terms of Hosting.

5.  Please don't offer to Host more Tvs than you are capable of Hosting at any one time.  For some people, this means limiting visiting TVs to one every month (Or two months).  It doesn't make you a bad Host if you know your limitations.  It's better to Host three TVs per year really well, than to host seventeen a month and end up panicking and not enjoying yourself.

Please contact us if you have any problems -
Kind Regards
I&N
