My question is: Do hosts mind TV's that come with 'baggage'? Like clothing and accessories? I understand it costs more for shipping to send extra items but would it be okay for extended visits- a month or more?
Another question: Has anyone had experience with sending extra items? If so... did they all come back home to you safely with your TV or did they get lost?
The reason why I am asking is that I want to create another TV but it will have clothing and a backpack/baby carrier and I don't want to burden my hosts with all that if it will inconvenience them.

For me :
I would prefer to get only the TV - without any baggage or other things.
And for me - a month for a visit is the normal time - not extended

For me it depends on the size of the TV and the baggage. If I can still send it in an envelope and it doesn't weigh more than 500 gramm with his baggage, then I don't mind extra stuff. But if it is too much and you have to send a package because of the baggage, I won't like to host it.
1 month is a normal time for a visit for me as well. Extended means more than 2 months for me.
Hope I can help

Sadly my dear Wauzi moved to his dad...so now I have sweet little Jonathan to stay with me all the time. He is a stay-at-home Voyager.

For me it is like BlackCat said.
Extended means for me also more than 2 months and sometimes I have guests, which stay a longer time. So do Brinda and umechan right now. They stay for about one year, but more than two tvs for such a long time is too much for me too.

Personally I find it hard to keep track of little accessories. They usually arrive with the TV, and I keep them in a specific place so I don't forget about them, and then I send them away with the TV. Unless they are attached to the TV, I rarely use them, except for SunnyHH and Hedgie, who were both going to need hats where we were going.

Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. My new TV is pretty big size, he'd need a box to mail him or a large envelope/bag. I guess whenever I decide to have him hosted abroad I will make a note to limit the things I send with him. Only necessities!

I particularly donīt like hosting big TVs, simply because here we arenīt allowed to mail them in envelopes ,a dn the package costs are huge (around 9 times more) , so to me hosting a big tv wouldnīt work.
I have hosted one that was very light and small , but it was thick plastic, I loved hosting him, but when i had to send him away, he would break if he went in an envelope, so that was also the last time for this type of TVs. To me, it can have accessories, as long as it fits into an envelope and it doesīt weight too much ( here it also goes with the 500gr)
But I did add a bow i had to a tv I hosted! She was a unicorn Regina, and I added a bow to her horn! I think it looked cute, but its ok if they want to take it off! It was just nice! Also Dottie Mouse came with a tiny bag on her back, it didnt matter at all and it was cute! I tried to find something to fit in it, but couldnt... heheheh

Thanks for the input! I think my BIG TV, Tealc is going to travel if he goes anywhere ONLY within the US. That way postage is cheaper. Also, if I ever decide to create another TV, I know what kinda toy I should choose.
