Hi Mum,

Today is ANZAC Day - it is a public holiday all over Australia and marks the day the first action was fought by the Australian and New Zealand forces in WW1. Their objective was to capture the Gallipoli Penninsula.

There is a parade in Melbourne City and we watched some of it on TV







This is the day when we remember the sacrifices all the military and civilian people made for everyone else.
