Hello!
Oh, this is my first trip into another country with my host Jenny. She said that we are going to Slovenia and here we are!
We made the first pictures in the train when we were crossing Austria. It was raining and we thought that we would like better weather when we arrive in Slovenia.





Jenny and her friends wanted to go to Slovenia to visit the skijumping competition. The place where the skijumping hills are is called Planica and it was the biggest hill in the world until this year. They built a bigger one in Vikersund/Norway and also the world record is no longer in Planica... But here is the hill in Planica!

Around the skijumping hill are beautiful mountains.

We stayed in Slovenia until Tuesday and went to the hill again on Monday because we wanted to go to the very top and have the view like the jumpers have just before their jump.
We went by bus to the village Ratece, the next village to the hill as you can't live directly in the valley were the skijumping hill is located.


At the beginning of the street to the valley was a lake with some ice on it.

To get to the top of the skijumping hill we need to go along a path through the forest.




It was very strange sometimes as the path leads in opposit direction as the hill was.
But finally we came near and we had a great view over the area.

And we came along the lift.

And then finally we arrived at the hill but we weren't on top yet.

Don't forget to have a look at these mountains!



Then we started our way up.


And then we were finally there, here you see me sitting in gate 11.

What a view, I wouldn't jump down there!

Ah, they made me sit in the inrun...

...but we were at the flat end of the inrun already!

More mountains


On our way back we also saw this very small skijumping hill.

And these small houses were the skijumpers change their clothes.



Now we left the skijumping hill in Planica and went back to the bus.



Tomorrow we will go back to Germany.
