Hi Mummy,
today we took a walk in a large forrest in Solingen-Unterburg. Here are many forrests. Unfortunately you are not allowed to smoke during the summer months because of fire danger.

We saw a memorial for the German journalist and writer Hermann Löns. He lived from 1866 until 1914. He died in First World War. He is most famous as "The Poet of the Heath" for his novels and poems celebrating the people and landscape of the North German moors, particularly the Lüneburg Heath in Lower Saxony. Löns is well known in Germany for his famous folksongs.





We reached the river Wupper. This part of the river belongs to the run-of-river power station in Glüder.







There's a nature trail in the forrest. Here for example you hear trough this ear trumpet the flowing of the water running down the rock.





We followed the river Wupper and crossed it here.



At the end of our walk we reached the town again. From here you can go uphill with a chair lift. On the hill Schloss Burg is located, a medieval castle.
