Moscow, Russia - 13th December 2009

By: TaisAfinskaia

Hello my family!
As I promised here are my photos from Arbat. This is one of the most famous street in Moscow. There are many market places and souvenir-shops  here.

Quote:
The Arbat (Russian  Арба́т is an approximately one-kilometer long pedestrian street in the historical centre of Moscow. The Arbat has existed at least since the 15th century, thus laying claim to being one of the oldest surviving streets of the Russian capital. It forms the heart of the Arbat District of Moscow. Originally the street formed part of an important trade route and was home to a large number of craftsmen.

The second photo is made near tea-shop. Do you know this man Don? Sherlock Holmes!
And on forth photo you can see "Matreshka" - Russian wooden doll.  And on the last one - Snegurochka - she is the granddaughter of Ded Moroz (Santa Klaus). Instead of deers in Russia  Santa Klaus has granddaughter :)

Bye,
Have a nice week-end!
