Our next stop was at St Mary's Cathedral.




This year it the main site for the Lights of Christmas festival which started with the Sydney Girls Youth Choir performing two sets of carols on the cathedral steps.


They were followed by a spectacular light display which projected images of candles, flowers, butterflies, gum leaves, rain and a kaleidoscope of colours onto the Cathedral wall.

This was one of our favourite displays of the night - candles and Australian Christmas Bush flowers.


and this beautiful kaliedoscope of native flowers, which started with a single line of light tracing the rose window and slowly growing larger and larger.


At the end of the light show we posed with the nearby Christmas tree, which had the added bonus of having the famous Sydney Tower in the background!
