Travelog post for: Harrisson

Today we visited 'Blijdorp' the Zoo in my host's hometown. I saw a lot of great animals and had a real nice day...

The fist animals we visited were Scottish Highlanders, real magnificent creatures!





There was an aviary where all sorts of birds flew and walked aroud and we could walk between them.





We saw the first Dutch Tulips in bloom and of course had to take a picture with them!

On this billboard you can see Bokito. We saw him in real life too but were not allowed to take pictures. Bokito is world famous. A few years ago he escaped and attacked a woman. Then he ran to the playground next to the Gorilla-home. Luckily the keepers were able to sedate him and now the Gorilla's are protected a lot more to avoid this from happening again.



yeah, we saw Hippo's! It's a real small kind of Hippo's ( don't know the right name ) They're called 'Jip' and 'Janneke' , named after 2 childrenbook figures.







Brush hogs..... I love them!



The sea-lionswere the last ones we visited. This one came real close to me, great to see him up close!
