Travelog post for: Aslan

This is the first draft of my typed manuscript, heh, heh, April Fool!

I was bummed out by too many rainy days and too much time with the woebegone DuDu, so it was extra special to set off in search of the elusive spirit of Jack Kerouac.  Not to worry, dear DuDu is in the sunny care of Cheerio and I heard them giggling as we left the apartment. 

Ah, at Kerouac’s alley and Columbus Avenue there is City Lights Bookstore.  They will published my book after I finish typing it and then put it in the window next to “Howl.”  My dream.   

Hmm, that one sidewalk poem doesn’t have an author, maybe it is just an ad for the Vesuvius Bar at the end of the alley.  Several cultures converge at this alley:  Chinese, Mexican, and Italian among others; and there are some cool murals.
