Dear Mum

Today it was a bit warmer, the sun was shining and there was no more snow, so it was a perfect day to take a walk. After nuriayasmin's Tai Chi lesson we walked through the city centre and along the river Neckar.

This is Heidelberg's main street. Normally it's quite crowded with tourists but today it looked pretty empty.

This is the gate which leads to the Old Bridge:



I sat down next to the Bridge Monkey, a sculpture from 1979. In the 17th century there had already been another bridge monkey.

I liked this house. It actually looks prettier in reality than on the picture:



Ohkwari, Kazumi and I rested a little on the banks of the Neckar.

Now we're getting closer to the monastery of Neuburg.



The monastery was built in the early 12th century. There's a small shop where they sell wine and fruits from their estates.

It was a great day. Hope to see more of this region.
