Eldon is so cute, we might just keep him for ourselves!

If you have found him, we hope you will look after him, and help him to travel and do lots of fun things.

Please register at ToyVoyagers.com, so that you can update his Travelog and let us know what he is doing and where he goes.

Please feel free to pass him onto other people you know who might need a travelling companion.  He will send you updates on where they've been and what they've been up to, so he'll earn his keep!  ;)

Poor Eldon!

We took 26 ToyVoyagers 'Up North' with us this weekend, and we returned home with only one:  Eldon.

On his travels with us and his friends, we visited Durham (and stayed in Durham Castle!), Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, and York.

Now Eldon is sitting at home in the Office, awaiting his next adventure ... will it be geocaching?  random release? or off to be Hosted via the Forum?

He'll announce his travel plans soon.  Watch this space.  ;)

Last night Knorretje Knor shows me her stamp book and tells me about her plan for traveling.
She already have some beautiful stamps.

I told her about traveling in a envelop. It's dark and a little bit cold.
She is going to ask her owner to make me some warm clothes for the winter.

She also want to ask if her owner can make some hole's in the envelope so we can see something when we travel.

It's a bit cold here in Moscow so I stayed at home for a while. I met another TV who arrived at the same day as I - Gina Giraffe from Austria, who has already visited Ukraine. I like her. She always tells me something funny :)

One evening we watched some playing hockey and skating from the balcony :) In was very interesting and funny :)

There was a TV-sized reindeer from Sweden:

And some of the toys were made of felt. It is Swedish tradition too:

We spent the New Year Eve in the village Glubokoye that is 400 km from Moscow in Tver Region. We got there with a car, though the road was awful. It took us 5 hours to get there, but it was so beautiful there!!!

We managed to walk in the snowy forest when we were looking for a New Year Tree.

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4071744_bf3bc3d451.jpg?r=360

I found a cone that was not very high from the ground:

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4071717_cfecfb1f43.jpg?r=360

And I managed to have some rest on the bunch where the cone was :)

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4071735_f85a52504b.jpg?r=360

Finally we managed to find a New Year Tree!! Look how nice it is!

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4077542_6290e9dae2.jpg?r=360

Kristl helped us to get there! Do you think we look like decorations?))

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4077543_f347ef6db3.jpg?r=360

We even wanted to travel home on the tree!

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4077544_ae2bd6ca22.jpg?r=270

But we were afraid do fall down.. So we decided to get home in Kristl's bag :)

Though it was very beautiful in the forest, it was quite cold. So I was happy to come back home again and warm myself near the Russian stove.

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4071801_bfc3fe6a4a.jpg?r=360

We decorated the house with some old New Year decorations, but they looked very nice and cosy:

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4071807_36baba669e.jpg?r=360

In the house I met a hand-made cat that was just adorable! He was much bigger than me :)

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4088343_b024226948.jpg?r=90

But I thought that presents - it's very nice and went first to look for my present :)

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4088345_9f5b7428a5.jpg?r=360

When we came home, Kristl showed us her album for stamps!! Well actually it is not her. As she said one of her grand-grand-relatives was collecting stamps, she doesn't know who.. And she got 2 big albums full of stamps and one where there was free place. As she gets now quite many letters and greeting cards in the envelopes with stamps she decided not to throw away them, but to put in this album.

But there she found many stamps that just lied in a small envelope.. We had to put them in the album!!

http://static.zooomr.com/images/4183877_4a732addc7.jpg?r=90

We worked assiduously and as a reward everybody got a stamp! We could chouse ourselves and I've chosen a very special stamp - an old stamp (1982) from the USSR times with the view of Kremlin.

Today we went for a visit to another flat where Kristl had some business to do. She said that we won't be bored cause there're many other toys there that we would be glad to meet.

She was absolutely right!!

She told us about a very old dog called S'ema that lives in a big armchair. She suggeste us to visit him cause he can tell us many interesting stories. And so did we. All the TV-bears decided to visit S'ema.

We took some sweets to give him.

We came to S'ema one by one introducing ourselves and asking him to tell us something interesting. He was very happy that we visited him, he said that it's quite boring to sit all days there on the armchair, though he has his best friend with him.

Then we all sat around him and listened many wonderful stories and fairy-tales!! That was a perfect day! I hope to visit S'ema once more and tell him about my adventures as a ToyVoyager.

Good bye, my friends! Good bye, Moscow!

Today I continue my journey and the next host I'll visit is ChristinaB in Vienna. I have another important mission - I have to deliver to Christina some stamps that Kristl wants to present her. I'll take care of them uring the journey.

Now it's time to get into the envelope.

I was picked up from the postoffice today and my new hosts realeased me from my narrow envelope! How great to see the sunshine again! ;) I was told that I'm in Austria's capital Vienna now - what a surprise. I haven't heard about this place yet but I'm very curious what I'll do and see here!

I'm having a great time here in Austria! I'm in good company with Gulliver, another wonderful bear from Germany, Sputnik, a funny alien and Glory the little Americain bear.

Last weekend we went to Wachau with our hosts. Wachau is a beautiful valley at the longside of river Danube. It is an UNESCO world heritage site and it is very beautiful. It's famous for its long history, the wineyards placed in terrasses and for the apricots planted there.

We visited a little village called "Dürnstein" which was very nice. There is a beautiful blue tower there just next to the river, we went for a walk through the wineyards (no wine at this time of the year ;() and then we climbed up all the way to the old castle. It was pretty exhausting but the view was wonderful from up there!

I did alot of sightseeing here in Vienna! I never ever thought that there is sooo much to see in this city!

One day our host took Sputnik and me downtown. And guess what! We got to see all these buildings in real that we only knew from pictures so far.

We started our guided tour at the city hall. Our host told us that there are always some events taking place at the big square in front of city hall: the Christmas market in December, the opera festival in summer, a circus somewhen in autumn and now we just missed a big ice-skating court.

Just opposite of the city hall there is the old imperial theatre and close to it we saw the Austrian Parliament.

We continued our walk to the wonderful "Volksgarten" where we found this temple. In summer there are millions of roses in this park and I guess it must be wonderful then, too!

Then we passed by "Hofburg", the former residence of the Habsburg family. Nowadays it hosts the Austrian National Library, the Spanish Riding School, the President's office and several museums.

There were these beautiful gates around Hofburg, Heldentor and Michaelertor, and when we went through one of them we arrived at "Graben", a very famous and expensive shopping street. I would have liked to buy a souvenir there - but I didn't have enough money!!

We arrived at "St. Stephen's" cathedral then which is said to be in the very center of the city. How amazing to see the colourful roof!!

Then we went on to the famous opera house. Oh, how much would I love to watch a play there!!

Close to the opera house we found "Karlsplatz" with one of the most beautiful subway stations built in a special style called "Jugendstil" which is very similar to "Art nouveau". At the same square we also found this beautiful church:

Did you know that cafés are very, very important in Vienna? There are tons of them and I have been told that there are also special receipts of coffees that only exist in Vienna.

People here love sweets, too and I was really astonished when I saw all these beautiful rabbits, eggs, sculptures etc made of chocolate and marzipan. And of course I got to see the real "Sachertorte". Unfortunately we passed by in the early morning so the café was still closed...

Imagine, I also saw the famous "Giant Wheel"!! And then we went on to this very colourful house created by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. There is nothing special inside, just normal flats - but it is sooo beautiful. Our host told us that in this house there is a special "law" which says that every citizen can decorate the wall around his windows as he/she likes but only as far as they can reach with their arms.

Today we visited the big Easter market here in Vienna! It was really amazing to see all these wonderful eggs. We asked the sales woman there and she told us that there were more than 40.000 eggs waiting to be sold! Can you imagine how much work it is to paint them all?? Too much for a little bear...

When we came back home we put up the Easter decorations in the flat. We made a big kind of tree where we put alot of eggs - I was really a great help!! We also found some other decorations in the cellar, and then we baked a little sheep! It smelled sooo good and it was really hard not to try it now. Our host said that we would have to wait until Easter Sunday, then we may eat it.

We packed our stuff today and went to Upper Austria where the grandparents of our hosts live. It's in the very countryside and since it snowed alot during the past days our hosts suggested to go skiing. They did it very often this winter and were happy to go again - and so were Sputnik and I because that way we got to see a real "Austrian" mountain called Krippenstein (it is more than 2.700 m high). It still snowed when we went there and it was a bit foggy so they pictures aren't so clear, but it was a wonderful day and we enjoyed playing in the snow alot!!

It was Easter Sunday today and we celebrated it in the countryside with the grandparents of our hosts.

Easterbunny came early in the morning and hit tons of eggs in the garden. Some of them were really hard to find - one was even in the bird's house!!

And guess what! Sputnik and I went up so early that we really got to see him! Wow, hm?? We were sooo happy! How great that we could have our photo taken together with him!!

The kids were very excited about all the eggs and sweets and the oldest one even got a school bag which was hidden on a tree!!! It is a tradition here in Austria that kids who will start with school in autumn get their schoolbag from Easter bunny.

Sputnik and I ate many, many chocolate eggs and we felt a bit sick in the evening...
