I got to fly on an airplane and go to a different state!
My host told me that we are going to New Mexico to visit her family. I was so excited to be able to fly on a plane. Here is a picture of me with my suitcase. When we got on the plane the super nice people in charge of the airplace gave us peanuts and something to drink When we got to New Mexico it was snowing. I didn't know it would snow this far south but my host explained that it was the elevation of 7000 ft over sea level that was the reason. I took a picture on their outside chimney and even did a snow |

Today was our first full day in New Mexico. We spent a lot of time with my hosts parents, her Sister and her sister's husband.
We went to a super cute town called Madrid (Pronounced Mad-rid, they get annoyed when you pronounce is Mah-drid like the country in Spain) Madrid is the town where they filmed a movie called "Wild Hogs" with John Travolta and Tim Allen and other big stars. I took a picture in front of the diner and other really cool signs in Madrid. We all went to dinner at a restaurant called\"The Mineshaft Tavern\" Their food was really great and they had a band the night we went they had a band performing. |

Merry Christmas Eve!
There is a tradition in Santa Fe where an Art District in Downtown Santa Fe displays thousands of Farolitos or Luminarias are placed all around the streets and people walk up and down the streets taking in the majesty of the sight. There are people singing and playing instruments and little bonfires set up all along the walk to keep yourself warm. Every Farolito is made up of a paperbag with a little bit of sand at the bottom and a single candle. It was so pretty and very festive |

Today is our last day in Santa Fe, NM. We are heading back to Seattle. We couldn't leave Santa Fe without driving by the house of a super famous author George R. R. Martin He has lived in Santa Fe for years and when we got to his house, it did not dissapoint. He has a super awesome mailbox that looks like a castle.
After visiting GRRM's house it was time to head to the airport. The plan was really big and I'm excited to take another trip and get my treats on the plane Oh and we found \"Black Mesa\" right out in the open at the airport |
Jess Roqs Posted Jan 2, 2012, 7:06 am |
Did you know that the mega corporations Microsoft AND Nintendo both are located in the same city? My host took me to both of their headquarters. She says our next trip is going to be "across the lake" to see the SpaceNeedle and other sites in Seattle.

Here we are in Hanau. And this is the Castle Phillipsruhe.
Unfortunately we had not enough time to go outside the car and take a walk around. So all we did was a bit sightseeing from inside the car But it was fine, too. This tower belong to the animal shelter in Hanau. Hmm.. what is this for? Our next Stop is Mühlheim/Main and Eustachia allowed me to enter our destination into the navigation system |
Eustachia Posted Feb 5, 2012, 12:22 pm |
After a journey thru Maintal and Mühlheim we arrived in Offenbach/Main.
Here are some impressions of this City, which isn't very beautiful, i think Her you can see the Mainriver. Some houses... The inner city Some more apartment buildings |

Today i was on a road trip thru the "Vogelsberg" with Woozy. He's a very funny guy.. laughing all the time and we had so much fun! The landscape at the Vogelsberg is so beautiful. So many woods, fields.. nature at all! From time to time we passed very small villages with only a bunch of houses. Here you can see a small barn. Haha but this is not one of the houses i spoke about... I like this rural area This view is so great! And another village... Haha at this picture Wozzy was crying "Wooohooooo!" On our way back home we were sooo hungry. So we stopped at a Chinese restaurant nearby our home.
As appetizer i had baked Wan-Tan, mini spring rolls and another sort of spring roll with sweet-sour sauce Yummy! At this evening they had a buffet with all you can eat, so i choose some different meals. The first thing i tasted were the baked noodles with chicken. Very tasty! And i had a chinese beer. Cheers Next menue was Curry chicken with rice. Also very tasty! ..aaaand fried duck with peanut butter sauce and rice! Wow, that was the best of all! Finally i tasted the baked fruits. At the buffet table they wrote: Baked banana, apple and pineapple. So i took the baked banana and the baked apple (the sticks) with honey. Looks delicious. But.. waaahh... what's that? This is NO apple! This is CHICKEN! Hahaha, it wasn't very tasty with the honey but we had fun and laughed a lot Last but not least.. a fortune cookie And it says: "You have a strong appeal to the opposite sex." Hmm.. maybe i will meet a beautiful lady fox soon? Who knows.. |

Hi mommy
Today my host is going to the birthday party of her niece. She is two years old and we helped Eustachia to fill a Piñata. This is a christmas tradition in Mexico, but they were also used for Easter in Spain and for children's birthday party. We filled the little horse with some sweets, confetti, play dough, tiny figures, buiscuit cutter for the play dough, a necklace and bracelet and some balloons. Woozy helped Misslucy with the Schokobons Haha Pink_bear wants some more confetti! Woozy and me liked the pink balloons with kitties more, but Pink_Bear and Misslucy prefered the long ones with faces and oats so Eustachia took the long ones for the Piñata and we blowed the kitty ballons for the party. Finished! This is the birthday cake for Leana Looks cute.. and delicate. Hihi Bye, bye Foxi |
Eustachia Posted Feb 9, 2012, 12:29 pm |
Hi mommy
Today Misslucy and me visited Aschaffenburg in Bavaria. There in the backgorund you can see the Castle Johannisburg, our destination And here it is! Haha, Misslucy is playing on the fountain but it seems that it's very cold, lying on this thing.. But the sun was shining and so we could warm up a bit Wooow, what an impressive Building! We did a walk around the castle and the sight was so beautiful! Foxi: "Hey Misslucy! What are you doing there?" Misslucy: "Maybe we can open the wicket!" Hmm no, it was locked... It was so nice to sit there with Misslucy, watching the frozen Main and the warming wintersun.. Hahaha.. this funny mouse is knocking at the door.. "Misslucy? what...?" Misslucy: "Come on guys, let me in!" *knock knock* Foxi: "Eeeh, Misslucy.. the door IS alreday open!" Misslucy: "Oh.. hihihi.." Well then.. step in! Thats the place in front of the castle. So, bye bye nice castle Yeah, a guide to the city. What? Explore the city by foot? No,no,no! It is definitely too cold today! We'll take some pictures from inside the car! Time to drive back homeward with a beautiful sundown. Unfortunately the picture couldn't show how beautiful it was.. with an extremely orange glowing sun I hope you like the pictures I miss you Foxi |

Hello!
Today we went into London to see St. Paul's Cathedral. Unfortunately there was a security issue on the tubes so they were not running in that direction. Instead we decided to walk around and see what there was to see. First, my host wants to include a picture we took the other day at a mall in Essex. Ok, on with the London pictures! We will rock you show with a giant Freddy Mercury out front. The usual phone booth picture. My host managed to find a side that didn't have "creepy" advertisements posted on it. Soho Square where there are several different statues outside. Next we wandered over to Trafalgar Square. On the way we saw more artsy things including a pretty egg! St. Martin In-The-Fields church. George Washington. |
