How are you?? I'm well!! happy to start my adventures around the world I've arrived this morning in Barcelona. Here it's too hot!!!! but I'm so happy, here everyone is very nice and as soon as I got out from the package,I had a welcome party prepared by my new friends here! In the afternoon, we took Bicing to go to one of my host's friend's house. Is a bicycle transport system created by Barcelona Council. It consists of a public bike hire scheme that allow users to hire a bike for a limited amount of time (up to 2 hours). It's a cool idea, and bikes don't pollute the city! It was a nice first day! See you soon, Yetta Bear |

Hello?! Can anyone hear me?
That's odd. I hear voices, and a lot of coming and going. Was that a "grab that bag" I heard? What's happening? I think I have been picked up. What's that sound? I think it is a car. |
miapearl Posted Apr 15, 2012, 8:23 pm |
Hi Mum,
We've arrived somewhere. Let me out of here, please. Hello everyone. My name is Yetta Bear. |
miapearl Posted Apr 15, 2012, 8:52 pm |
Hi Mum,
Today, we've come to Hunstanton It is a bit windy on the prom. So we've come into the aquarium. There's a toilet under water with an octopus hiding behind it! There are many different tanks. The fish won't stand still for their photos to be taken! This horseshoe crab has its back to us. That's a shark. We are in the shark tunnel. They have other fish in with the sharks. And a turtle, only 8 years old. Those sharks are bigger than me. I'm glad I'm not in the sea. |
miapearl Posted Apr 15, 2012, 9:00 pm |
Hi Mum,
It is my host's birthday soon, and my host's mum doesn't live too far away from LittleBlogFrog So, we hijacked my host's toyvoyagers account and decided to contact LittleBlogFrog for help with presents. We wrote a message to her asking her to meet us at King's Lynn the next day, to see if she has any ideas what my host would like. |
miapearl Posted Apr 15, 2012, 9:18 pm |
Hi Mum,
We heard back from LittleBlogFrog and she has agreed to meet us. But first, the little problem of getting there! Come on bus. We didn't have to wait too long and now we are sat at the back of the bus. When we get there, we'll see if we can run off with my host's mum to meet LittleBlogFrog We met her and have a present for my host! We caught up with my host when she was looking at the "eggs" |
miapearl Posted Apr 15, 2012, 9:28 pm |
Hi Mum,
It is time to wrap up my host's birthday present. Done! And then my host's mum gave us an Easter chocolate each. |
miapearl Posted Apr 26, 2012, 6:26 pm |
Hi Mum
We have stopped off at Wrexham's Techniquest, a hands on science centre. Here we are investigating vocal cords. The different shapes produce different sounds. A gravity well. We like watching the balls go round. I can't remember what my host said. A maze to go through. My host's hand has some heat. We read about nebulas. Orion. I appear to be on the ceiling! |
miapearl Posted Apr 26, 2012, 6:54 pm |
Happy birthday to my host.
I hope you like our present to you.. |
miapearl Posted May 9, 2012, 10:08 am |
Hi Mum,
Today, we are travelling by steam train! We are leaving Porthmadog station. We are at the back of the train. We've just crossed the cob leaving Porthmadog behind. We stopped at Minffordd station, where a train passed us. There's some nice scenery This is Llyn Tanygrisiau. We've arrived at Blaenau Ffestiniog, and the engine is going to pull us back. There are a couple of tunnels on the journey. Can you see the ToyVoyager tag? Flash! We are returning over the cob, with some of Snowdonia's mountains in the background. Looking out over the estuary. The engine is fuelling up. |
miapearl Posted May 9, 2012, 10:10 am |
Hi Mum,
A package arrived... Hello MuhKuh |
miapearl Posted May 13, 2012, 5:58 pm |
We have come to the Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno.
There is some live music, with banjoes. There are some fun things for children to do and play A helterskelter. A band on its way to the bandstand. Maintenance on a little engine. Another little engine. A little railway Lots of steam coming out! A "wind-up doll" in front of an old traction engine. Chair-o-plane and a little big wheel A traction engine. My host's son is on this ride. My host and her family didn't fancy a ride on this tall thing. My host has been on this sort of ride before, she tells me. |
miapearl Posted May 13, 2012, 5:59 pm |
On the way home, we stopped off to find a GeoCache.
Puffin Island and Anglesey can be seen from here. It is a bit windy up here. Even though the sun is shining and there is blue sky, it is a bit chilly. Another view of Puffin Island and Anglesey. we found the cache. My host's son wants a bouncy ball. View towards Conwy and Llandudno Out there is the Isle of Man, but I can't see it in this photo. |
miapearl Posted May 13, 2012, 6:00 pm |
Farewell Wales, I'm off to my new host... Hope the journey will not be a long one.... |

Hi Mum,
Today, a new visitor arrived. Let's see who it is... Hello Twixx |
RikeH Posted May 19, 2012, 9:42 pm |
Hi Mum,
I arrived in Sülfeld. Dicker Kumpel is the host here – he gave me a warm welcome. He introduced me to the other ToyVoyagers here. I showed the postcard and card I brought with me. I found this wonderful flowers inside. I went outside into the garden and flew with this friendly gull. Then I searched for more flowers. Look – this flower was like a cap. This flower was really nice. I talked with these funny guys. Back in the living-room I found this wonderful flower. Yours Yetta Bear |

Hello Mum,
We are on our way to Finland now. RikeH was very busy the last days, so we didn’t update our travelogs, but now it will be better, we hope. We went from Travemünde,Germany to Helsinki, Finland with the Ferry Finnlady. The weather was wonderful, but it was so stormy that RikeH decided to take only one photo of me outside. She didn’t want me to fly away. Fortunately we had a wonderful cabin with many windows. Through this one I saw the way we went. Then we all went to the window on the side of the ship. The sun was wonderful. Of course we wanted to look to the other side. Our ferry was great – look, there in front of us was a cruise ship. Our Captain did a good job, so we won the race! yours Yetta Bear |
RikeH Posted May 28, 2012, 2:29 pm |
Hello Mum,
I am in Finland now. The day started in a small village called Rauma. It is famous for the old part of it with many wooden houses. I think this was the town hall, but I am not sure about it. Look – this bear was so friendly! They had a nice old church. We drove to the next place Pori – and started with another church. Behind me you can see a great park! We had a nice view back to the city. There was another old building - maybe the town hall. Unfortunately I cannot read the signs here. Our last stop of the day was at the seaside. We found this great beach. Can you see me in the Dunes? Here I am! Bye Yetta Bear |
RikeH Posted May 30, 2012, 1:55 pm |
Hello Mum,
It was time to explore the nature. We went into a national park called Helvetinjärvi. We saw this small stream. I sat on one of these big boulders. We went down to this beautiful lake and had a picnic there. This was the famous place for the national park – a small gorge. But I prefer this view! Love Yetta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 2, 2012, 1:18 pm |
Hello Mum,
In the late afternoon Dicker Kumpel told me and the others that he had a surprise for us. We all were excited and we jumped into our travel bag. Look, what happened! RikeH met two Finish hosts – mmm105 and reissari – and all their TVs and TV-guests. So we had a big TV-meeting! To have a better view of us – we made smaller photos. It was great to meet so many new TVs. Hopefully I will meet some of them again on my trip around the world! Then we had another meeting – we went to a postcrossing-meeting. You can see the postcards of the postcrossing-members. We had so much fun talking with these friendly women. What a nice meeting! Yours Yeeta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 2, 2012, 5:13 pm |
Hi Mum,
Great news – I saw the the biggest wooden church of the world. We went inside, of course. (It is not always possible to go into Finish churches, because most of them are closed.) This one opened today. There were many children coming into the church. Look – the bell tower stood alone. In the afternoon we reached the national park with the Koli Mountain. We had a great view over the lakes around. And we saw trees. There are lots of forests in Finland! Maybe this was a religious place in the Past? Believe it or not - we found snow! Can you see me with this funny guy? This is a ski region in the wintertime. Look – I would take the black way! A funny kind of tram brought us back to our car. On our way to the next hotel we stopped and enjoyed the sunshine next to this beautiful lake. Yours Yeeta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 5, 2012, 4:16 pm |
Hello Mum,
We had a lazy day at home. Look, what we had for dinner Then we sat in front of the fireplace and talked. I love it to look into the fire! And I want to show you the funny kind of drinks we had. Bye Yeeta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 5, 2012, 4:18 pm |
Hey Hey,
Today we went to another National Park - Oulanka NP – and made a walk called the Bear Loop (yes – it was named after me!). We started at this suspension bridge. We saw this little boat, but we didn’t have to use it. Then it was so great – we stopped next to these rapids. We went into this old mill. We had to climb up mountains and had this great view! Later we stopped at this waterfall. It was nice to sit there. But it was even better to have a picnic in the forest! The other direction! Then we were back at the beginning – this was the view from the bridge. Yes – I am a brave bear– I crossed this dangerous bridge! Yours Yeeta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 8, 2012, 5:28 pm |
Merry Christmas Mum!
The Finnish people are crazy sometimes. We arrived in our new home today. And look, what we have in front of our house – a Christmas tree! This was really strange. But RikeH told us that we are in the Santa Claus Village. Santa lives here – this is amazing!e Maybe we will meet him tomorrow. Who knows? But first I had to show you two funny things in our room. This is the wonderful lamp! We had fun playing on it. Now I believe that the Christmas Time comes nearer! Hohoho Yeeta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 8, 2012, 7:01 pm |
Hello from the Santa Claus Village!
We saw these signs today – and wanted to meet Santa Claus. But can you imagine it? Santa Claus didn’t allow to make own photos – and wants to have a lot of money for the photos taken by his gnomes… So we decided that his Santa Claus is nice, too. There were an ice bear and some gnomes next to him. There were signs showing the distance to some cities around the world. And here is Santa Claus’ Main Post Office – he has to write many letters each year. I was really in the North now. I crossed the Arctic Circle Mum – have you ever done it? Love Yeeta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 14, 2012, 8:29 pm |
Hello Mum,
We visited Helsinki today. Behind me you can see the cathedral. This is a Russian church – I loved the gold on the roof. Near to the water we saw this beautiful building. This is a wonderful church – inside a rock – really strange. Love Yetta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 14, 2012, 10:24 pm |
Hello Mum,
Today was our last day in Finland – and we spent it in Porvoo. We met a really nice lady there. First we climbed up a hill and had a look over the town. Unfortunately the trees were really high! This was a better place to look at the city. Behind me you can see the famous houses next to the river. The weather was not as sunny as yesterday, so you cannot see it so good. There were moomins living in this shop. We had a stop next to his bunny-lady. On the right side you can see some other TVs. Then we did something funny – we went onto the Castle-Hill. But there was no castle anymore… We stopped on a bridge and saw some nice new houses… …and a ship with the funny name Glückauf. Here we had a better view of the famous houses. It was a great time in Finland! yours Yetta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 21, 2012, 9:52 pm |
Hello from a Ferry again.
We were back on the way to Germany. Fortunately we had television in our cabin. So we watched soccer. In the first game the Netherlands played. Vriendje was so excited. Unfortunately for Vriendje the Netherlands lost. I had a look out of the window and saw this: We went outside and had a wonderful sunset! Two life missions for me! Here you can see a model of our Ferry! It was time for soccer again. We decided to have a party! Cheers! The game was great! GOAL! Germany won – and we celebrated it! The next morning we first had a coffee! We preferred some fresh fruits! No more wine and beer! Love Yetta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 24, 2012, 8:56 pm |
Hello Mum,
We went to Hamburg today. The weather was not so nice - but no problem for us. We walked along the lake Alster in the center of Hamburg. Can you see the sailing ships? There were more boats - I think they will be used if the weather is better! There were some geese. It was a nice place! Believe it or not – it was the same day – only some minutes later – and we had sunshine. One of many churches in Hamburg. Many greetings Yeeta Bear |
RikeH Posted Jun 28, 2012, 9:09 pm |
Hello Mum,
We went to Hamburg again. But today we went to the Port. And we saw a cruise ship! This Part of the Port is called ‘Speicherstadt’. It is the old warehouse district, but they built a lot of new houses there. Here you can see the old houses. This is another part of the Port. We made a short boat trip. Behind me you can see the pier of the port. My last views of the port. Bye Yeeta Bear |

Hello Mum,
It was my last day in Sülfeld today. I will travel to the South of Germany! But I wanted to have a walk before I jumped into my envelope. Here you see me in front of a small lake. Later we sat in front of this nice sign and enjoyed the sunshine. Then it was time to say goodbye – the others gave me a big hug. I will write, when I arrive in Heidelberg. Love Yeeta Bear |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Jul 5, 2012, 6:37 pm |
Dear Mum
Hello from Heidelberg. It's very hot here, so I'm going to relax a little now. My new host loved the Hamburg postcard I had brought with me. Bye, Yetta Bear |

Here are some impressions from the banks of the river Neckar and the Botanical Garden. Bye, Yetta Bear |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Jul 21, 2012, 7:57 pm |
Dear Mum
Today I took a walk in the south of Heidelberg where I saw some horses and passed along a huge maize field. Love, Yetta Bear |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Jul 22, 2012, 5:59 pm |
Dear Mum
Today I had a look around the city centre where I saw a lot of old buildings and walked through narrow streets. I saw the castle from a distance and crossed the Old Bridge. Love, Yetta Bear |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Aug 1, 2012, 3:44 pm |
Today I explored the mountains north of the river Neckar. The "Heiligenberg" was quite a busy place in the past. People of Celtic origin already settled there in pre-historic times and in the Middle Ages two monasteries were built on the mountain. Nowadays it's a nature reserve.
Hugs, Yetta Bear |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Aug 6, 2012, 8:25 pm |
Dear Mum
Today Brinda and I accompanied nuriayasmin on a short walk in the forest. Unfortunately the reason was a sad one. Nuriayasmin's cat Shelley had died this morning and we buried her in the forest. This is where she found her last rest: It was actually quite interesting to be so deep in the forest. I felt like a big bear - but unlike in the US there don't live any bears in German forests. Look, I met a slug: After a while we were back on trail and took the bus back home. Sad greetings, Yetta Bear |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Aug 7, 2012, 9:44 pm |
Hi Mum
Today a new TV arrived. It's Zed Dog from Wales. Hope to have a great time with him. Love, Yetta Bear |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Aug 8, 2012, 11:32 pm |
Dear Mum
Today I saw a bit of Cologne which is Germany's 4th biggest city after Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. We didn't have much time but took a walk along the river Rhine and visited the Cathedral which was a very impressive building and is situated directly next to the central station. Bye, Yetta Bear |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Aug 15, 2012, 3:39 am |
Hi Mum
First of all we all said good-bye to Bambi this morning. The most exciting thing is that he's going to visit you. I asked him to give you my warmest greetings. Then Zed Dog and I accompanied nuriayasmin to the post-office and saw a bit of the suburb. Bye, Yetta Bear |
