Here I stand before Quirinus Münster.
Quirinus Münster is one of the most important Late-Romanesque churches on the Lower Rhine, if not of Germany, and landmark of the city of Neuss. It was built between 1209 and 1230 and raised in 2009 by pope Benedikt XVI in the state of a Basilica minor |

Hi mommy
I arrived safely at my first host Eustachia. My journey was very stormy! But now, inside the house i can warm-up. This is my reception committee.. I was cordially received so i have a good feeling and i think we become very good friends. The tiny pink one is a guest, too. His name is Pink_Bear. The orange doggy in the front of the picture is Wotan. He is a TV newbie since 5 days and he will leave us this week for a journey to Sweden. This cute little rhino will become a TV, too. He met Wotan and Pink_Bear in Aachen and came along with them, so we are both new here It was a long day for me, so goodnight. I will write you soon. |

Hi mommy
Today we're going to buy the Christmas tree! And i got the chance to select which one we choose. So we have to drive by car to the next town, called Lich. It is 10 minutes by car. Let's go! Wooow.. leather seats but a bit too cold in my opinion Take a look at this... so many Christmas trees... Hmm, which one will we choose? We found very nice trees for Christmas and this guy packed them into a net for better transportation. Here are our three Christmas trees! One for my host Eustachia and her boyfriend, the second one is for her sister and the third one for her mother-in-law. It was very cold and stormy, but we had a lot of fun and on saturday we'll decorate the Christmas tree Tomorrow we start a journey to Herrsching. A small town nearby Munich, where my host has a buisness meeting. But she asked me to come along with her.. so... yeeeaaaahhh! I will! I'm so excited! Talk to you soon Mary |

Hi mommy
Today we did a road trip to Bavaria. My host had a buisness meeting at the abbey Andechs. Our Hotel was nearby. Thats the hotel. As you can see, it is close to the Ammersee. At night it sounds, as if your sleeping nearby an ocean That's our room. Time for some sleep. Good night Pink_Bear Next day my host had the meeting at abbey Andechs. She was a bit stressed and so we took only one photo. Anyway the weather wasn't that good to take pictures. It was raining. Later we're going to visit a distillery 100 km far away. See you soon! |
Eustachia Posted Dec 26, 2011, 2:04 pm |
Hi mommy.
Now its time for some action! As you know, i would love to drive by car, so Eustachia gave me the chance to do it. First we entered the destination at the navigation system. And then.. wooooooohoooooo... Look mommy, i'm driving the car! This is Munich... Pink_Bear and me had a lot of fun! Wow, look at this! The mountains in the background.. these are the Alps! Unfortunately we had this bus right in front of us for the hole trip, so we had no chance to took some better pictures. They are coming closer! We arrived at the Slyrs Whisky Distillery! Wow, looks impressive! And the Alps in the background! Unfortunately only the Store was open. We're too late to do a guidance through the distillery But it was a very cool and interesting trip! We had so much fun! Hope too talk to you soon mommy. Bye, bye |
Eustachia Posted Dec 27, 2011, 5:31 pm |
Waaahhhh Today we had first snow!
It wasn't that much, but enough for me to build a snowman Do you like him? Look, how he's smiling Pink_Bear helped me with the snowman and later it was time for a snowball fight. Okay Pink_Bear, because i am much larger than you i can carry a bigger snowball.. you do not have any chance!! Yeeaaaahh! I got him! Hahahaha We had much fun playing in snow and Pink_Bear had no chance against me in snowball fight. But he had fun too and we laughed a lot. Bye, bye. |
Eustachia Posted Dec 27, 2011, 5:41 pm |
Hi mommy,
today we had even more snow than yesterday. So i went to the balcony to bop around in the snow... Woohooo... This is my hosts bunny, named Cosy. He is very nice and we became good friends. He loves to play in snow too so we played togehter at the balcony. We are two snow bunnies Brrr... that was cold.. time to warm up on the heater. This thing beside me is a pine cone. He should send out a good smell, but i thing he doesn't smell somehow |

Merry Christmas!
Today is Christmas eve and i'm a bit sad, that i cannot celebrate with you mommy But i spent the evening together with my host Eustachia, her boyfriend, the two cats and the other TV guest Pink_Bear, who became a very good friend of me. That's our Christmas tree. We decorate it last monday, but we were so excited and had so much fun, that we completely forgot to take some pictures Eustachia asked me what decoration colour i would like for our christmas tree, so i chose red and golden. Traditional colours What do you think? I think we did a great job! Time to pop the corks!! Eustachia allowed Pink_Bear and me to drink a sip of sparkling wine. So, cheers! Uuuaaaahh.. maybe we had a bit more then a sip.. look at Pink_Bear his glas is empty.. *hiccup* Time to unpack the presents... Yeah, i got a bigger one than Pink_Bear. Hihihi Hmm.. what is it? Wow! A "Day of the tentacle" T-Shirt for Eustachias boyfriend. How cool! Oh my god.. what is this tiny little bear doing with the ribbon? Here you can see all presents. I think the funniest one is the Eyenimal Petcam at the right in the picture. Hahaha, it is for Eustachias cats. To watch what they are doing while beeing alone at home After gift giving we watched the christmas movie "Christmas vacation". Do you know this movie? It was very funny and Eustachia told me they watch it every year on Christmas. That was my Christmas eve. I hope you had a great time like me and wish you a merry merry Christmas. Greetings, Mary Möf |

Hi mommy.
Today is the first Christmas Day and we visited my hosts mom. She invited us for dinner. Starter was a beef broth with parsley. Very tasty! The we had turkey hen with red cabbage and bread dumpling. Woow, that was yummy! For dessert we had ambrosia with custard. It was very tasty, as you can see in the background.. the bowl is almost empty Hope to talk to you soon mommy |
Eustachia Posted Dec 27, 2011, 7:24 pm |
Hello mommy
Today is the second Christmas day and we're at home and do one's own cooking. Eustachia and her boyfriend prepared the turkey hen, while i grease the casserole with butter. Here it is... The turkey hen has to frizzle in the baking oven for 2 hours and 45 minutes at 180° Celsius. From time to time i have to sprinkle it with butter and dripping so that it will become more juicy At the last 20 minutes we prepared the red cabbage.. haha how funny, it is formed as hearts... ..and the bread dumplings. When meal is ready we're going to pack it into thermo dinnerware, so that it will stay warm until the whole dinner. That's very cool. So you have enough time to have a seat and no stress or fear that your meal will cool down. But previously i opened the red wine for dinner. Enjoy your meal! It was the same combination like yesterday but it was very yummy once again and tasted a bit different Bye,bye Mary Möf |

Hello mommy
Today is New Year's Eve and i am so excited! Yesterday we were at Giessen, to call for a friend at the railroad station and then we went to the Metro (a wholesaler) to buy some food and drinks for the next days. And here they are.. In the beginning of the evening it was time for some drinks.. All we need is 5 glasses, some ice cubes and these little coctail mixes Put some ice cubes into the classes the coctail mix follows.. and ready is our delicious coctail! Yummy! I had a "Sex on the beach" and Pink_Bear took a "Mai Tai". The other ones were for Eustachia and her guests from Austria and Berlin. Later we prepared some food for the raclette.. Here we go! Look at all these delicate things! Hey Pink_Bear.. get off the raclette! We had so much fun and ate for 3 hours. Everything was so tasty and delicious. For dessert we had a wine cooler. With fruits, juice, wine, sparkling wine and cognac. Wooow... it was really yummy and tasted of juice only! At 23.50 pm we went outside to do some firework. |
Eustachia Posted Jan 3, 2012, 2:07 pm |
Happy New Year, mommy! *hug*
This sparkler is sooo cool! It is soooo large.. i think i burned for 4 minutes or so. We hat 2 fountains, a battery of firework with 20 shots, these huge sparkler and some other sticks... Everything looks so nice. You can barely see me in the pictures, but I hope you like them anyway. It was very wet and foggy outside. We walked along the street to wish a happy new year to all neighbours and then back home for some more sparkling wine So cheers! My bunny-friend Cosyfuzz wishes you a happy new year, too! Waaaahhh Pink_Bear.. what are you doing? I hope you had a great party and as much fun as i had. We partied until 4 o'clock. Then it was time to go to bed and i felt asleep very fast! Good night mommy. I love you so much |
Eustachia Posted Jan 3, 2012, 2:39 pm |
What a party last night!
In the evening of New Year's Day we had nachos & cheese. This "maggie topfino chilli con carne" matches perfectly to the nachos! Furthermore we had cheese dip, salsa dip and guacamole dip Enjoy your meal! After dinner we did "Bleigiessen". I think it is named lead pouring in english, but i'm not sure. It is a custom of predicting the year ahead by pouring molten lead into water and "reading" the resulting patterns. Mommy, you know it Here you can see me melting down a figure of lead Then i put it into a bowl filled with water.. the lead solidifies so we can watch how it looks like. Here are my results.. We reflect all together what my figures may be. So we arrived at the conclusion, that it is a boat and a bird. Let's see what that means.. Boat: a big journey - Haha great! That's what i wanna do this year! Bird: unexpected stroke of luck - Wow.. sounds great! Well, i'm happy with my foretelling for the new year Bye bye Mary Möf |

Hi mommy
Today i was on a buisness tour with my host Eustachia. She asked me to come along with her to see some other places of Hesse and so i did it. Our first Stop was Rüsselsheim, where she visited an OBI market. It was raining so heavy! Haha don't wonder about the crazy pictures. It wasn't that easy to drive and take pictures at the same time Here you can see a part of the OPEL factory. I really wanted to shoot a better photo in front of the whole factory, but the weather was really really bad.. Here you can see the heavy rain... Next stop.. Darmstadt Here we go! |
Eustachia Posted Jan 9, 2012, 4:42 pm |
This is Darmstadt.. also rainy!
We planned to visit the "Mathildenhöhe", but.. you know.. the rain... But if you're interested to see the Mathildenhöhe, take a look at Eloy's travelog. He was already there. |
Eustachia Posted Jan 9, 2012, 5:08 pm |
Our next stop is at the Toom hardware store in Dieburg.
While driving trough Hesse, we listened to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. That was fun! But it was a bit scary too Time for lunch! My host told me, that she has not so much time for eating on her buisness tour. So many customers want to be visited. So she often take a little snack at the car for lunch. Let's see what we have for today.. Yummy! A paprika salad with onions, kidney beans and corn Very tasty! On our way to Offenbach, the weather was going crazy.. Forst it was raining very heavy again and then.. look at the sky! It is light blue! Haha, very strange.. |
Eustachia Posted Jan 9, 2012, 5:25 pm |
So, we arrived in Offenbach at Main.
And the first thing we saw was a airplain above us. Here are so many airplanes flying crisscross in the sky.. Because the gigantic airport Frankfurt at Main is very close. Here are some images of Offenbach. Not that beautiful! And the next airplane.. This is the Mainshore, but not so good to see from the inside of the car. A red house.. The central city.. On our way back home the sun came back and showed us a great rainbow. Look there.. in the left.. there's a second one Wow.. the colors were very intensive. Unfortunately the picture cannot show how beautiful it was. |
Eustachia Posted Jan 9, 2012, 5:51 pm |
Before we drove home, we did a stop at Gießen. My host Eustachia needs new eyeglasses.
This is Gießen. The town isn't very beautiful but here live many students. Eustachia studied also here. This is the metropolitan theater, but i will show you a better picture of it later we shot this one while driving around the corner. That's the church Finally we arrived at "Neusehland" and chose 4 eyeglasses which fit the best to her. Hmm.. which one will she chose? Before chosing eyeglasses, she had to do an eyesight test. Waaaahhh what's that? But hey, one of her eyes is better than before. Souns great! She asked me what i thing about the eyeglasses so i advise her to take this one. Isn't it nice? And yeah.. she took this one! Time to drive home! This is the Seltersweg in Gießen. The "shopping street" Back in the car we shoot some more pictures. Here you can see the "Elefantenklo" (elephant toilet).. what a strange name.. And here is another picture of the metropolitan theater. This one looks much better than the first one Eustachia is often here to listen to symphony concerts. Waaah on our way back home, there was an accident. It was so stormy, that a tree felt on the road. But nothing bad happened, fortunately! That was our tour for today. I hope you like the pictures. Love Mary Möf |

Hi mommy
Today is another day for a buisness travel with my host. We're going to visit Warburg, Bad Arolsen, Korbach, Wolfhagen, Fritzlar and Homberg Efze. Pink_Bear joined our road trip, too We startet our tour in Laubach and it was raining again We drove a while and.. huh?.. what's that? Suddenly there was so much snow... look here.. everything is white! We couldn't believe it because in Laubach was no snow. We took this picture on the A5 nearby Alsfeld. 3 minutes later.. no snow this is crazy! This is Wolfhagen. Haha it seems, that we took this picture on another season. But i swear, it was the same day! Haha not so easy to take pictures while driving.. In Wolfhagen it was time for lunch. What's for eats? Hmm.. what's that? A gingerbread with butter. One for Pink_Bear and one for me So delicious! Our next stop is Fritzlar and Eustachia allowed me to type our destination to the navigation system. Cooool! |
Eustachia Posted Jan 10, 2012, 12:45 pm |
We come up to Homberg/Efze. In the left you can see the Hohenburg. Unfortunately we had no time to visit the castle.
A view of the town We arrived at home at 7 pm and drove 388 km, as you can see in the picture. It was a long day! But we had fun and listened to Harry Potter again Talk to you soon. Bye bye |

Hi mommy
Today we're gonna play Star Wars - The old Republic, a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) we bought last week. How exciting! Oh look there.. Eustachia got the January Toyvoyager picture for her desktop. Okay.. what do we need? The mouse.. check! A microphone for TeamSpeak, to talk with other gamers... check! Pink_Bear a bit more down, please.. Okay, that's good. I got the mouse and the microphone. Pink_Bear, you control the keyboard Now we are ready to play This is Eustachias ingame character. Woooow Yeeaaah, we got a wookiee as companion. How cool! And some snacks from the Netherlands Very tasty! Little almond biscuit drops. In the evening we watched the sun going down. Isn't that beautiful? This cute little guy on the left is Digi. He is very nice and he lives with Eustachia here in Laubach since 12 years. I hope you had a great weekend like me and wish you all the best. Love Mary Möf |

Hello mommy,
unfortunately the weather is too bad here to go outside and do some crazy things, so we stay at home and play some games or cook something. You know.. homestuff Yesterday arrived a new guest. We were so excited who it will be. His name is Foxi He is a very nice and friendly fox and so we became very quick good friends. He told us about his travel to USA and that it was so much fun. I'm a bit nervous, because tomorrow i will continue my journey and my next stop is Boris Kitty in USA. Foxi told me that i don't have to be afraid, a trip to USA is very cool. He is sooo lovely! What a bummer, that we could not spend some more time together. |
Eustachia Posted Jan 22, 2012, 6:00 pm |
Hello mommy
Today is my last day with my host Eustachia. Tomorrow i'm going to travel to Boris Kitty in the USA. Wooow, i'm so excited! So today Eustachia asked me what i wanna eat on my last day here in Laubach. And i decided spaghetti Bolognese. Let's cook a bit. What do we need? - One onion - Spaghetti, of course - minced meat - garlic - and two packages of "Fix for Spaghetti Bolognese" Waaah, we forgot the cheese! I prefer gouda but Pink_Bear would like some Parmesan. Okay, who wants to shred the onion?... Nobody? Phew, Foxi joined up. He's doing it well Now we need garlic.. I take a big clove and a small one Eustachia gave me a "stainless steel soap", to wash my paws with it. So they do not smell anymore. Great! Now we need some oil in the pan.. ..and Foxi is watching the meat and onion stuff. While the meat is roasting gently we prepared the cheese with this cool maschine.. It's so easy to grate the cheese with this thing Time for the "Fix and fresh".. I have to agitate the sauce and then it must cook for 5-8 minutes. In the meantime Tamina put the spaghetti into the cooking pot with boiling water.. Finished! What a great meal for my last day here. Eustachia gave us a big serving. Enjoy your meal! Wooaah, that was a lot of spaghetti... Too much for our little stomachs! Time for an after-lunch sleep Bye the overeating Mary Möf |

I finally arrived! My first day I went with Boris' human2 and Edgar to the office, but we did not work. We had fun!
Edgar got these WAY COOL trading cards from TokiPoki.com for Valentine's Day so we filled some out for Human2's co-workers. He even gave me one too! Everyone here is so nice. |
Boris Kitty Posted Feb 21, 2012, 8:08 pm |
Today is Valentine's Day. A day of love. A day when many humans give each other flowers to say I like you.
I went with Boris' Human2 and Edgar daKitty to the office and we were surprised by a new friend... This is Flora and we are very happy to meet her! We got to know each other while Human2 spent the day doing work things. |
Boris Kitty Posted Feb 21, 2012, 8:38 pm |
We spent the night at the office (don't worry we were having a sleep over with our new friends).
We woke up when every one came back into to start their day. The best thing we did today is we got to sit and watch the birds at the bird feeder. Here is a nice little Chickadee that came by to have lunch with us! There were a lot more but the humans scared them away! After lunch we were all put to work by Human2. She wanted us to help her sort and box a bunch of dog toys that were being donated by her company to dogs at shelters. I think this is a very nice thing to do as many of these dogs have never had a toy or know what it is like to play with some one that loves them. Here we are gathering all the toys. Once we had them all gathered up we had to sort them by size into boxes to go out to the shelters and rescue groups that are waiting for the donations. We had to be very careful that we did not fall into the boxes because the dogs would love to put the bitey on us too! It felt so good to help out all those animals in need. I was very proud to be a part of DogToys.com's donation efforts. |

Tonight we are making chain mail for Edgar. He is going to be a knight for a costume party and we are helping make his mail shirt.
First we coil the wire around the mandrel. Then we had to cut the coil to make the jump rings. We had to make hundreds and hundreds of these jump rings. Then you link them all together and you get chain mail. We are almost done with the back of his shirt. Then Phoebe came by to inspect our work. |
Boris Kitty Posted Feb 24, 2012, 1:08 am |
We rode along with Human2 to the big city. Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love.
It was a long drive but we finally got to see the city off in the distance. This is the 30th Street Station. Lots of trains come and go from here. We did not get to ride on the train but we did see one leaving the station. We were not in the city to site see but I would like to come back and visit some of the great historical places this city has. We were here to visit Human2's doctor. She sees a specialist at the Hospital at the University of Penn. To get there we had to drive through Drexel University. Their mascot is a dragon and Ziggy was very excited. (There is a dragon on the flag behind us and a big statue on campus but we could not stop and say hello because we had an appointment to keep.) When we got to the hospital there was a group of shiny silver doctors standing outside. I went over to say hello to them since we missed the dragon. We had the entire waiting room to ourselves. I decided to check out the anatomy of the lungs. I also found this fun lung replica that would "breath" when you squeezed the bulb in the back. It was a lot of fun. We left after seeing the doctor and getting new allergy medicines. On our way out of the city we got a glimpse of City Hall (it is the tiny little building that you can see above my right ear). |
Boris Kitty Posted Mar 6, 2012, 3:38 am |
Human2 loves LEGO toys and we got to got with her when she went to the LEGO Store today.
Ziggy and I jumped right into a big pile of LEGO bricks and started building things right away. We built a very nice boat to sail on the ocean! Then we decided to go see all the neat LEGO displays in the store. This is a nice construction site made by the folks of a local AFOL (adult fan of lego) group called PennLUG. There were LEGO swimmers. Lego ducks. I got to eat cheese with the mice (until the cat come and ruined the party). There were some other bunnies there too and they let me have one of their carrots. That was very nice of them. Before heading off to our next adventure we were invited to a wild party and danced and danced. Now we are off to Build a Bear World to make...I mean meet a new friend. |
Boris Kitty Posted Mar 6, 2012, 4:06 am |
After the LEGO Store we went to Build a Bear Workshop to help Human2 make a new friend. First we had to help decide a puppy or a bear. Both were very nice but but I said make a puppy!
As you can see our new friend is very flat and floppy. He needs sum nice fluff inside like me. So we went to the stuffing machine and watched as our new pal got his fluff. Looks painful but we promise it is not. Next he needed a shower to help get the extra fluffs out of his fur. Last step before adopting him completely is to name him and print out his birth certificate. Our new pal's name is Woofy McGee. We all got to ride home in Woofy McGee's new house carrier! It was very roomy and we all had fun getting to know each other on the drive home. |
Boris Kitty Posted Mar 6, 2012, 4:18 am |
We really wish Spring was here but it is still cold in PA. Today we are going to get Pansies for our hosts garden. It is a nice clear day but very windy and cold. How do those little flowers survive this cold?
So many pretty colored flowers to choose from. I really like the yellow ones. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside like sunshine! We are taking this one home with us becuase it has a pretty face. Now to get back inside out of the cold! |

Hi Mum,
me again... Yesterday we made a trip to Fritzlar. first we had to drive by car , the weather was pretty good....sunshine .... Fritzlar is a small German town (pop. 15,000) in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse, 160 km (99 mi) north of Frankfurt, with a storied history. It can reasonably be argued that the town is the site where the Christianization of northern Germany (north and east of the Roman Limes) began and the birthplace of the German empire as a political entity. The town has a medieval center ringed by a wall with numerous watch towers. Thirty-eight meters (125 ft) high, the Grauer Turm ("Grey Tower") is the highest remaining urban defense tower in Germany On the plate some information about Fritzlar... here you have this great view...... The St. Peter's Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Romanesque-Gothic churches in Hesse. Three-aisled basilica The Cathedral of Fritzlar measures 43 meters (from the basement to the top). He continues to shape the cityscape of the small town in the Schwalm-Eder-Kreis (formerly Circle Fritzlar-Homberg). The three-aisled basilica in Fritzlar is considered one of the most beautiful in Germanyl I must tell you something about the weather in Fritzlar...brrrr...no spring in the air, but a great winterfeeling, with rain and wind....what a pitty.. ... ...here you see the biggest halftimbered house in hesse, "das Hochzeitshaus" the wedding house next stop... the Garvensburg The castle was built in 1894-1898 by industrialist William Garvens, who was knighted in 1908 and afterwards called William of Garvens. He built a hunting lodge in the style of the late period, a castle-like villa, surrounded by an English garden here I´m sitting over the Edersee, also called the Eder dam is 11.8 square kilometers of water surface, with 199.3 million cubic meters of storage space in terms of area and volume two-third largest Reservoir in Germany and is located on the Fulda-Eder inflow. The Edersee Dam is a hydroelectric dam constructed between 1908 to 1914 across the Eder river, near the small town of Waldeck in northern Hesse, Germany, it lies at the northern edge of the Kellerwald. The dam is primarily used to generate hydroelectric power and to regulate water levels for shipping on the Weser river. that was a nice trip hugs your Mary Möf |

Hello Mum,
On 1. May we made a trip to Bad Pyrmont, we were in the historic park with palm trees, which is considered one of the most beautiful parks in Europe and in 2005 by Briggs & Stratton was honored as "the most beautiful park in Germany." There was the Festival of Fine Things the unique ambience of the award-winning gardens of Bad Pyrmont present over 100 exhibitors with beautiful and useful ideas for home, garden, lifestyle and culture, each according to his taste, so I like the bunny and this old couple There are so many tulips and other nice flowers on the way back a short rest on a nice bench a figure... it shows the childhood wich hold in his hands on the back a small figurine of the Venus.. ..ok kisses to you your Mary Möf |

Hello Mum,
a boring day in Delligsen .... we sit around and watch the weather, Andrea has an idea, we TVs may choose material for the small sofa that Yosemite brought. This is a very good idea, at first I was informed in magazines. Animal fur is totally in, but not a real fur .... Then we tried the fabric together. I like this material the most, what do you say Tiffy prefer.... Hase likes flowers.. Dr.Kröbner love you Mum.... |
