Hi everyone,
My name is Yul & I'm a lovely teddy bear whom wants to travel around Malaysia and world, of course. I dream to become a Goodwill Ambassador for cultural heritage. I would like to send a message to all friends out there of the importance of preserving our culture & heritage. I hope I can achieve my dream one day.
Wish me luck!

Finally imajica brings me out! We go to Geting Sri Tujuh beach in Tumpat, about one hour from Kota Bharu. Imajica's collegues are with us too and it's so much fun. These days they're having Wau (Kite) festival and I get to see many big and different kites!

On the way home, I get to see many Thai community villages here in Tumpat district. Oh and I forgot to let you know that this district borders Thailand so here in this area there live Kelantanese people from Thai ancestry too. They're practically Buddhist and you can find huge Buddha statutes like this in some temples here.

Sari Ater (or Ciater) is located at approximately 1500 meters above sea level on the slope of Mount Tangkuban Parahu. It has fresh mountain air and natural hot spring water, delivered from Mount Tangkuban Parahu. The natural hot spring water contains sulphate, calcium, and other minerals, which believed can relief skin, muscle, and bone problems such as rheumatical disease. The temperature of the water varies between 28 to 45 degrees Celcius. I tried to soak my feet but the water is too hot for me  :(

I'm now in Kuching along with Yuki & Lady. Kuching literally means ‘cat’ (kucing) in Malay language which is the capital city of Sarawak. Sarawak is one of two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo. Known as Bumi Kenyalang (‘Land of the Hornbills’), it is situated on the north-west of the island. It is the largest state in Malaysia.

I'm facing the Sarawak River or Sungai Sarawak. It is an important source of water and transportation for the inhabitants in southwestern Sarawak. The local people take a tambang (sampan) boat across the river to town as you can see in the second picture.

I am teaching Yuki how to play "congkak". It is a game of wit played by womenfolk in ancient times that required no more than holes in the earth and tamarind seeds. Today, it has been refined to a board game. It consists of a wooden board with two rows of five, seven, or nine holes and two large holes at both ends called "home". Congkak, played with shells, pebbles or tamarind seeds, requires two players. We're playing with nine holes & pebbles.

Do you know that most of the flowers that sells in KL and other cities in Malaysia comes from Cameron Highlands? I'm thinking of taking back some of it for my friends at home. Which one do you think I should buy?

Owh, finally we've found the place. Now at Cheonggyecheon Stream. The water is so clear. Do you think aliah will allow me to take a dip for awhile after all the walking?

Hola!

This is Yul. Hope everyone are keeping well.

This is my first update in 4 years. In 2012, Aliah & I moved to Wales for her grad school. However, we're going home this summer. Aliah said she will find my travel pictures that she has been taking for the past years and updates my travelog more soon.

We went to Barcelona last year and I want to share the photos from the trip. In this post are photos from when we visited Park Güell. It was designed by Antoni Gaudí, and his works are nominated to be part of UNESCO World Heritage.

Love,
Yul

Last week, we went to Bath. It's a really beautiful city and also a World Heritage City so I'd like to share the photos I took from the trip.

We visited the Abbey and Roman Bath..

Also, I finally saw a World Heritage emblem here, in Bath! It's located in front of the Roman Bath. Okay, Aliah took the photo from the wrong side :D

Hi,

It's a backlog from my travel in 2010. I visited Tokyo for the first time. Here's my photo overlooking Tokyo Skytree that was still in construction then.
