Hi you, yes, you, in front of the monitor.
my name is MrCoolHH. My Mum searched for Toys for the big wild release weekend, but we both decided, that I will be a 'normal' TV. Although Rike told me, that I am not normal… I would love to see the world. And I am addicted to the color red. No idea, why. But maybe we can talk about it, when I visit you. Maybe your name is red - that would be great, or your house is red, or your car, or your pets… or or or…. So if you want to host me, send a PM to my Mum. Please use the color red… Look - I found the first red thing in the garden - it is beautiful !!! |

Mortimer is music lover, that's why we go there. Sibelius Hall is located at Vesijärvi passenger harbour. And here is picture of harbour too. Weather was really nice and warm, so we have really lovely trip. Take care mom! Yours: MrCoolHH |

Today weather was nice, and we went to lake near Susanna's home. Lake is called Vesijärvi. Mortimer told me that only little over month ago they take walks on ice at that same lake. It's quite hard to believe, when you look the lake now. Mortimer is leaving tomorrow, and we wish him good journey. I write you soon. Take care! Yours: MrCoolHH |

Hello Mom!
Happy mothers day! This morning we went to canal here in Vääksy. This canal is located between two lakes ( Vesijärvi and Päijänne ). Through this canal boats go from one lake to an other. Canal was opened last week after winter break. And there were no boats this morning. But scenery is nice, don't you think? Take care! Love: MrCoolHH |

Hi Mom!
This is my last update from Vääksy / Finland. Tomorrow I leave to my next host in Austria. I know I haven't write for a while, but I have been very busy. It's spring time here in Finland and I have done some gardening with Susanna. She says she don't have green thumbs so she needs help. Well, my thumbs are quite small and my paws are red, but I helped anyway. In first picture you can see me with beautiful red roses we plant. We also plant tomatoes, but they are not red yet. When we were outside I noticed one thing; Susanna lives behind red door. That's nice. The sign on the door means Welcome. I have felt very welcome here. Well I write you as soon as get to my next host. Until then take care Mom! |

Hi Mom!
We had a Kaffeeklatsch today! My host mom's dad brought us a delicious Linzertorte from Linz, which is cultural capital of Europe this year. It was really good! Bye! |

Hi Mom!
I had so much fun today! We TVs helped our host-mom to make a present. We made placemats for the birthday of a friend of our host. We put a template on the placemat and then dabbed it with a special fabric paint (RED paint ). I think we did a pretty good job! Then the mats needed to dry and we had to wait for several hours. Then we had to iron it, so that the paint would stay on the mat even when it would be washed in the washing machine. What do you think of my craftsmenship? |

Hi Mom!
This weekend we went up on the Schlossberg. First we had lunch in a nice little restaurant up there. You can see me with a Vulkanlandplatte, which is a plate of assorted Vulkanland-Ham. The Vulkanland is a part of Southern Styria, where we once had vulcanoes- a long time ago... We then went on to the Clocktower (Uhrturm in German). There is something going on with the hands of this clock... First, the clock just had a long hand for the hours, so that those could be seen from far away. Later they added the small hand, for minutes. Normally it's the other way around... We also looked down on the Kunsthaus, the museum of Art and photography. You can see it in the background- it looks like a blue bubble and is also called the friendly alien! On the last picture you can see me looking down at the Townhall. I really enjoyed this day so far because it was a beautiful and sunny day! Oh, and I found some beautiful red roses! They smelled lovely! |

Hi Mom!
There is a bank holiday today in Austria, so we decided to continue our sightseeing tour. We went to the Mur Island. It was built for the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2003 and now houses a café. Then we went to Herrengasse, the main street in the pedestrian area and looked at the Painted House. The facade has about 220 square meters of frescos on it. We went further on to the Landhaus. You see me in the courtyard, looking at the arcades. On the second picture of the Landhaus you can see the Styrian crest in the background, a white panther on green background. After my sightseeing tour I was a bit tired but I got an icecream cone (with red strawberry ice cream of course). Sorry, no pics of that one . Love you, MrCoolHH |

Hi Mom!
On our way to do some shopping we stopped at the Opera House. You can see me on a model, which was built for the blind. They can touch it and "see" the building through their hands. |

Hi Mom!
Today I helped my host-mom on her balcony! We looked at the flowers, gave them water and looked at the vegetable-plants. I especially looked for tomatoes, but they have just blooms, but no fruit yet. But I'll keep looking So, I'm going to relax on the balcony now with some strawberrys! Bye Mom! |

Hi Mom!
I had to say goodbye to two of my new friends. We haven't been here together very long, but I'm happy that I had a chance to meet them! Yesterday we had a goodbye-party for them with champagne! But I'm sure Bubu and Snuttig will have much fun on their journeys! |

Hi Mom!
Because Germania is starting her journey again next week, we decided on having a little icecream feast . In the afternoon there was a thunderstorm, followed by two rainbows: a big, bright one and a smaller one! Bye! |

marcie08 Posted Jun 9, 2009, 10:15 am |
Hi Mom!
I'm a bit sad right now, because I had to say goodbye to Germania, who is going to Vienna today! We had a last breakfast together (of course with red cherries ) and then it was time to go. We hugged and Germania boarded the aircraft! We then went to the post office. So now it's just me. But as there is another bank holiday approaching, I will have a good time: My host mom promised to go to a shopping center with me and on the weekend we're going to Carinthia for a birthday party! Bye for now! MrCoolHH |

marcie08 Posted Jun 13, 2009, 4:42 pm |
Hi Mom!
We went to a nice café today, which is located up on a small hill, the Rosenhain. There's a small forrest too, and you see lots of dogs and children playing there and families going for a walk! The weather was quite nice so we decided on having a coffee on the terrace there. You can see the Schlossberg from this little hill- Do you see the Uhrturm? At the entrance to the cafè's garden there is a sign with painted roses! I loved to see the Schlossberg from a different angle! Bye, MrCoolHH |

marcie08 Posted Jun 13, 2009, 7:20 pm |
Hi Mom!
I had quite a sporty day today! We went to the Künstlerhaus (Artist's house) to see the exhibition "Jahrhundertsturm". That's a word game, a combination between Jahrhundert (century) and Sturm, the name of the best soccer team in Graz! Sturm Graz celebrates the team's 100th anniversary and therefore the Künstlerhaus had this exhibition. It showed the ups and downs of the team, jerseys, fan accessoires, cups and so on. Oh, and it was quite cool that I was allowed to attend the exhibtion, as the team-colors are black and white. They normally don't like red, as this was the color of the former city-rival. Bye Mom! Hi Mom!
Today was quite exciting! We went to another federal state of Austria, the Burgenland. I was allowed to sit in the front of the car, next to the navigation system. I also took another picture with something red: a traffic light We went to the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet and did a lot of shopping . The Outlet consists of many differnet houses, each is a different store! We had lunch in a restaurant there and I was allowed to sit on a carousel. There was a kid riding another pony on this carousel- this boy really stared at me. I think I'm the first toyvoyager he has ever met! On the way back we took some pictures of the typical landscape there: It's mainly flat, with just a few little hills and many wineyards. This area is famous for its red wine. In the third landscape picture you can see the Neusiedlersee in the background. Because the area is so flat there are many wind turbines. Puh, Mom, I'm very tired now from the shopping! |

marcie08 Posted Jun 16, 2009, 6:48 pm |
Hi Mom!
How exciting! I went to yet another federal state: Carinthia! My hosts have been invited to a birthday party and a brunch there. We went to Pörtschach which is located at the Lake Wörth (Wörther See). On the pictures you see the Lake, and the big yellow house is the hotel where we celebrated. You can also see the white tent at the lake, where we were eating - yummi! Later we went to the shore, went for a swim and were lying in the sun! In the evening we went back home to Graz! It was very interesting to see another part of Austria and to hear people talking in this strange Carinthian German dialect |

Hi Mom!
That was a surprise yesterday, when we opened the door for the postman and he gave us a parcel. We opened it and a bear looked out! His nose was a bit flatened from the travel, but he's all right again now! His name is xiang xong. He's not really from Toyvoyagers, but from Postcrossing's travelling toys! He has its own blog. We first talked a bit and then we helped our host mom making jam. Cherry-jam....RED cherry jam! We cooked the fruit with the sugar and put it in small jars! But we had to be careful because it got really hot! Can't wait to taste the jam! Bye, MrCoolHH |

Hi Mom!
Today was my last day here in Graz! I'm continuing my travel tomorrow to Great Britain. We were invited to a special Austrian meal at my host-mom's dad's place. We had roast pork with potatoes and rice and for dessert a Linzer-Cake. That was really yummi! We also had some wine, as it was a goodbye-party for me! I then tried to get some pictures with red things and I found some flowers, gladioli! And then some other bears come around, but they weren't TVs though one of them has already traveled from Boston through New England, Niagara Falls and Washington DC to Europe. That's the bear who looks like a lobster - a red lobster, of course. It was nice meeting them! Now I have to pack my bags! Bye! |

Hi Mom!
A last hello from Austria! My bags are packed, I'm ready to go... I had a real cool time here and saw a lot of red things. I also met quite a few fellow TVs and other toys. I said goodbye to my host-mom and xiang xiao. My host-mom gave me some chocolate and a card for my next host-mom and then I boarded my aircraft! Britain, here I come! My next post will be from Great Britain! I'm so excited! Love, MrCoolHH |

Hi!!!
Sorry it's taken me AGES to write...I've been on holiday with my hostess in Finland and Estonia. Although...she did a silly thing and forgot to take photos most of the time in Finland...oops! So most of my photos in scenic places are actually in Estonia, where we went only for one day. She's sorry! She will try to take me out tomorrow in London. Anyway...here's my journey to Finland...first here I am in Stansted Airport... There's our plane! Here I am looking out the window while we're flying! Finland looked really different from the air than England does! Lots of forests, lakes and islands... Next we got on a train to Helsinki! yep lots of forests! And we arrived at last at the fancy hotel in Helsinki!!! Very comfy! More pics in the hotel in Helsinki... It really was very nice!!! Well, we had a nice breakfast there, before travelling off to Estonia! We went in business class on the ferry, because there were no cheaper tickets left!! Well at least it was very nice and we got free food. |
||||
iddewes Posted Jul 25, 2009, 11:31 pm |
Well, then we arrived in Tallinn!!
Had a very nice time walking around the Old Town and going up inside and along the top of the old city walls. These are all just photos from our walk. Had a nice little snack for lunch at an outdoor cafe Then we were on our way back on the ferry and it started to rain then. and that's all the photos we got...sorry! hope you like these anyway, Mum! |

Well, here I am, back in the UK again! My hostess thought she would take me out a bit today in central London, to see some of the famous places there.
Here I'm just sitting in the garden at home. And here with 2 new friends from Finland! Snufkin and a moose.. We got on the bus then to go into town! Arrived at Waterloo Station, which seemed a good place to start walking from. oh, there's the London Eye! We didn't go on it, though...the queues are just too long... There's the Houses of Parliament from across the river...that's where the British Government meets. Another view of the river Thames... Found some really crazy looking trees! Hey they are red! Apparently it is an artwork by a weird Japanese artist. Another view of the river... ...and the red London buses, yay! We travelled on one of those! And here's a traditional London pub, with its pub sign! Here's Covent Garden market... and a red telephone box! Gosh there are lots of red things here! Here's the famous Trafalgar Square...with the high up statue of Lord Nelson. Here is St Martin in the Fields church, which is right next to the square, no fields at all! And the National Gallery, also on the square. Gosh it's free to go in there!!! But you can't take photos inside it, unfortunately. More of the Square... And the Admiralty Arch which leads onto the Mall, the road leading up to the Queen's main house, Buckingham Palace. There's the Mall... Memorial to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (who was the mother of the queen now), along the Mall... Wow there is Buckingham Palace! It's huge! But it's not even the Queen's only home, and in fact, it seems she isn't home right now, because (you can't see it here though), the Union Jack flag is flying there. When she is home, the Royal Standard flag flies instead. So...she must be at another palace right now...I wonder which one? Lots of tourists there... Also walked a little in St James Park which is really pretty. But ran back up to the Mall again because we heard some drums.,..seems the Queen's guards are on parade... Finally went back towards Trafalgar Square. Here's a statue in the Admiralty Arch. Here's the Canada House, where the Canadian embassy is. My hostess is Canadian as well as British. Of course, Canada has a red flag, too... And just another building nearby... Stopped at the post office, cos that has lots of red on it too! unfortunately one photo is very dark, I don't know why. Back on the bus again! |
||||
iddewes Posted Aug 14, 2009, 1:19 pm |
Well, now I'm just about to leave the UK!!!
My hostess hasn't been too well and there have been a lot of post office strikes, but hopefully I should be off tomorrow. Well, thought I'd put in one more entry here before I go, anyway. I went with my hostess to her job! Just so you can see a bit about travelling around in London. First of all, we went on the London Underground! Here's the train, in Seven Sisters station. After that we had to go on a normal train too!!! Finally arrived in Putney, in South West London. Quite a busy typical London street. But when you walk about 10 minutes, you get to Putney Heath. A lot quieter there! And that is the building where my hostess works. It's quite posh, isn't it? I guess that's all for me from London! |

Hello mum - good news! After only a short journey from London, I have arrived to my new host Eilidh's.
Where I'm staying is lovely, it's a tiny village on the east coast, right next to the beach. We also have a view of the golf course. This is just to let you know I have arrived, later tonight I'll give you a proper update with this evening's news. Here I am having just arrived - After a quick look around I met tne other TVs staying here, there are 3 others and they all seem nice. So here is me with Chance, Ronnie and Rocky Squirrel. Hope you're well! MrCoolHH x |

After my journey I thought I'd get to relax this evening. Alas no, we helped make dinner. First we had to get the potato's and peel them.
Then they had to be mashed up and seasoned. And some other things happened too - but we were only in charge of potato's so I can't tell you what - but it was ready. Now this does not look very appetising (Eilidh wants to add at this point that she hates how there is American spellings on this site and everything she types in English as opposed to American-English gets underlined in red...wasn't this site set up by a couple of Brits? Hmm!) - but it's haggis. Haggis is a traditional dish served in Scotland - it's usually accompanied with 'neeps and tatties' or mashed turnip and mashed potato to the non-Scots. However no one likes turnip in Eilidh's house, so we didn't have it. So more information about haggis - "Haggis is a dish containing sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours. Haggis somewhat resembles stuffed intestines (pig intestines otherwise known as chitterlings), sausages and savoury puddings of which it is among the largest types. As the 2001 English edition of the Larousse Gastronomique puts it, "Although its description is not immediately appealing, haggis has an excellent nutty texture and delicious savoury flavour". Most modern commercial haggis is prepared in a casing rather than an actual stomach. There are also meat-free recipes for vegetarians. The haggis is a traditional Scottish dish memorialised as the national dish of Scotland by Robert Burns' poem Address to a Haggis in 1787. Haggis is traditionally served with "neeps and tatties" (Scots: swede, yellow turnip or rutabaga and potatoes, boiled and mashed separately) and a "dram" (i.e. a glass of Scotch whisky), especially as the main course of a Burns supper. However it is also often eaten with other accompaniments, or served with a whisky-based sauce." I'll update you real soon mum. MrCoolHH x |

I have mixed feelings about today - we TVs were stuck in the house all day! It rained real heavy plus Eilidh was at school from 8:15-4, then she had dance tonight, so Thursdays are pretty much impossible to do anything on for us lot.
However we still had fun. I like all the TV friends I've made here. Today during the worst of the rain we read a book - here we are with The Great Gatsby - supposedly the best written American novel of all time. Eilidh is studying it for school, so we thought we should swat up too. Maybe we'll be quizzed about it later! We also read through some of Eilidh's mail - she gets a surreal amount of mail. That's because as well as ToyVoyagers she is a member of Postcrossing. And she has 4 penpals - this is us reading a letter from her penpal in China. It sounds like such an interesting country! Then we decided to see what all our other TV friends were up to across the globe - looks like not much, seems not many people are as keen on updating their mummy's back home as we are here. We just get worried that you'll miss us so. When Eilidh came home from school she had little time to spend with us this evening - just enough to ask for some sympathy as she got burnt today. We'll try make it better though, don't you worry. Not much else to add here in Scotland, so goodnight for now. MrCoolHH x |

A new TV came to stay with us today, it's always exciting when newbies come as they have so many stories to tell. Here we all are in a group photo. From left to right here we are MrCoolHH, Chance, Ronnie, Meleca, Rocky & Jennifer.
However Jennifer is leaving us soon, so that's a pity. Looks like tomorrow is going to be good, tomorrow (if Eilidh can work out how to take us all - not easy transporting 5/6 toys) we are going to Edinburgh, the capitol city of Scotland! I also met Eilidh's dog today - Archie. He's a west highland white terrier, which is a traditional Scottish breed. So until later bye! MrCoolHH x |

eilidhlive eilidh-dougan@hotmail.com Posted Aug 24, 2009, 5:37 pm |
Yesterday was so very exciting here in Scotland. It rained all day but that did not put a dampner on things. First we had to hop on to the bus and travel to Edinburgh. Here are all us TVs being looked after by Eilidh's friend.
We were going to Edinburgh (the capitol city of Scotland, and a really lovely city - Eilidh's birthplace!) to see the African Children's Choir perform. I was pretty excited about seeing them as I'd heard they were good and very inspiring. Unfortunately cameras were not permitted in the show - but it was wonderful, if you want to find out more about the choir be sure to look them up on google. After seeing the choir it was time for a quick snack, so we headed to Starbucks where drinks and cookies were enjoyed by all. Now we had been fed it was time for a little sightseeing - Eilidh did photo us with Edinburgh castle, however the weather was so gross that it's hard to make out. She says if you really want to see the picture or have a thing for castles then to let her know and she'll post them. Because the festival is on in Edinburgh at the moment there are lots of funny signs posted around the city - apparently it's art? We found this one funny and fitting, seeing as we TVs are all tourists! It was soon time to head home, so we walked to the bus station and waited for a bit. On the bus on the way home as we were crossing the Forth Road Bridge we got a lovely view of the rail bridge - so of course we could not resist a few photos! What a lovely day out it was! Oh my mum, you must be worried about me! I'm fine though so don't worry! I've just been at home here in Earlsferry relaxing for a week or two whilst Eilidh was super busy at school etc. However we toy voyagers decided enough was enough and made a protest to Eilidh.
It seems to have worked though because look, I've updated! Although I'm having to help Eilidh out a lot with the typing (and it's still super slow!) because yesterday she broke her wrist by falling down some stairs. So to get over that excitement we wrote some postcards for postcrossing - which if you are not already a member of, I'd thoroughly recommend it. Here I am looking at some of the cards Eilidh has received - they come from all around the world and it's very exciting! Update you soon - I promise! MrCoolHH x |

And so my journey continues. I've been posted off to carry on my travels in England. I should be there soon I guess. Whilst I am travelling though I thought I'd let you see Earlsferry, the village I was staying in.
It's a seaside village, very touristy in summer but usually dead in winter as it has a tiny population. I think it's beautiful though - here are some views. This is the road I was staying at...oh, I think I'll miss it here. And here I am about to leave. All the other TVs were sad to see my go. I hope I have many more adventures to come all across the globe! MrCoolHH x |

Hi Mum,
At last i have got all of my pictures to show you ..... We left Bristol on coach to take us to the airport - we left from Gatwick, which is near London. It was early start though had to leave at 4am - EEK!!! Safety first on the plane, we went through the safety book, and got ourseleves seat-belted in for the 10 hour flight to Cancun Mexico, so exciting!!! Hotel 'Barcelo Costa' here we come .... Day 1 - first things first, time to sunbath, suncream & sunglasses at the ready!! Over there we had to get used to all the different money - we could use USA Dollars, and Mexican Peso's. Julie took us to the beach at our hotel - it was lovely - white sands & blue sea Day 3 - Julie took us out on a day trip - we went to Tulum, this is an old Mayan Ruin site - the ruins are off a city that dates back to the 1500's. It was on the coast so was used for trade, as well as being very well protected. From there we went to Xel Ha - this was an amazing Ecological park, you can swim with dolphins, roack, jumping, chill on the lazy river in a ring, and snorel around the whole site, reefs & caves - the sea was full of wildlife - all kinds of fish just swimming around you as you float through the water! As well as the wildlife in the water at both places we saw loats of Iguana's just wondering around - they are very common over in Mexico - we managed to get quite close to have pics taken too, would of loved for one of them to become a toyvayoger like me!! Day 6 - Today was shopping day, we went around the busy part of Cancun & saw some clubs & pubs - Co Co Bongo's is the best club there, the club was taken from the film 'The Mask', and each night has live shows of acrobatics, Circ De Solais and music .... something quite original to normal clubs! From there we went to 'Bubba Gumps Shrimp Co' - have you ever seen the film 'Forrest Gump', well Bubba was charactor on that & he talked of running a shrimp restuarant ... so the whole place is filled with memorabilia from the film, they play the film all day every day & have the menu suited to the film too - it was awesome, we had the best coktails there!! And when you go outside, you can sit on the bench just like Forrest Gump off the film - with his trainers on, box of chocolates & suitecase - this was one of my best moments of the holiday! Day 7 - Today we went to a proteced Barrier Reef just off the coast of Cancun to do some snorkeling - it was so lovely, we got a boat through the lagoon, and then out to sea - beautiful! Enjoy the pictures .... sad to be back in England as weather is horrible - so windy & cold outside, and tonight the clocks go back too, this means going to be allot darker in the evenings now Lots of Love Mr Cool |

HEEEEEEEEELLO EVERYBODY!
I arrived at my new hostess adress today, have been traveling a bit on my own in the mail, i thought, why use only a week from England to The Netherlands, when i can use TWO weeks and really go wild in the mail? But...i was kinda locked up in the bag, and it was tight, and not very comfy, so it was a BAD idea after all. Really happy to be here, it was a warm welcome, even before i got out of the bag i heard someone shout "FREEK, look who is here, MRCOOL!" I got to meet another TV, and the short time i have been here, we have talked alot already, and we are kinda alike, even tho I like RED and he likes PINK, its the same family colour! Just looking around, straight out of the mail. I think this room needs a new colour, its kinda....cold, not really cool, it needs some fresh paint, i would recomend RED! This is a new friend of mine, he is PINK, but it's ok, cause its kinda RED if you think about it, he can't help it, poor thing :P Im off to see what there is to do here in this VERY wet country! Dear mum.
Yesterday was a very busy day, after i got here, we went shopping, everyone in the car, with the seatbelt ofcourse, always drive safe! My hostess were a host for more people yesterday, they had a very cozy poker evening with friends, and we had a blast! It was super fun! This was while we were starting, later, we really hit the jackpot! My hostess posing with me, and a RED poker chip! They had really nice christmas flowers on the table already, and as i love the color, i just had to take a picture of it! Was stuffing myself on RED M&Ms all evening, they are the best! This morning i was looking after Freek's nephew, a really cute kid, we were playing together, and i met his toys, they had never heard of TV's before, and were really excited about the idea. But they loved little Jasper too much to want to leave him... Anyway, that was my weekend, and I heard that we are having a family weekend next weekend, in one of those houses you can rent in an Landal Park, that can get fun Already looking forward to it! Greetings, MrCool |

Dear mum!
I have so much to tell! Its been a great weekend, had lots of fun, did lots of stuff and met lots of people! We have been celebrating Sinterklaas this weekend, i met Sinterklaas himself aswell!!! I had been very sweet he said, so he gave me candy!!! After Sinterklaas we went outside to play, it was lots to do there! I climbed really high! They had this really cool mini golf there, and this was one of the holes, and as i was in Holland, i asked kindly if they could take a nice picture of me with the clogs. In the cabin we spent lots of time playing cards, it was NOT by beer, honnest!! My hostess with a "Zwarte Piet" hat on, it belonged to Jasper, but she was allowed to borrow it, since it was so nice and RED. If it had been a bit smaller, i would have looked super under it! I was playing with Jasper again this weekend, i got to know the little fellow last weekend, and he was nice, so we had a little talk again now. It was also a very nice fire place in the house, it was hot and very cozy. And this is the gifts i got from Sinterklaas! Hmm..not really, its my hostess' gifts, she has been a good girl this year, i guess... Check out the RED sofa! The decoraters here really had taste i tell yah! Posing as the face of the park mascotte! At the swimming pool Had a very nice dinner, and maybe a little bit of wine... The table decoration was nice and red, but i made it even better, with a red umbrella. The umbrella looks better on me tho, don't you think? Eating a candy... Just smelling it! Mondag we went Geocaching, looking for treasures in the forrest! And look, we found it too! It was super much fun! Oh..and they had fun, and they made two movies of me while eating dinner sunday...ha ha, very funny... Movie 1 Movie 2 Greetings, your dearest, MrCool |

Hi mom!
Im really having a blast here with my hostess, we are doing lots of things, every weekend! Today we went to a christmas bingo, her work has one every year, just before christmas. This is the last one ever tho, because they are closing down the place she works, so im glad i got to be here and have fun for the last time! I found some RED stuff!!! Not too hard, as its christmas soon hehe Really too bad this christmas hat was too big for me, i tried it on, but nah, better not. I want my own hat mommy, can i get one? Please? Please? Can i? hm? Please? Can i? Before we started i got to check out the bingo wheel, its an old thing, but it worked well, cause my hostess won a christmas tree and a nice decoration for in the house! I was helping one of my hostesse's colleagues with her bingo, it went well, cause her boyfriend got to split the main prize, 140 euro! Helping Ragnhild out a little, she really needed me ofcourse, cause she was too busy talking and eating snacks and such, i was the important one, ofcourse! This was the christmas decoration she won! Isnt it REDfaboulous? It was a long day, but it was a great day, and i had lots of fun, as always. Met many new people, and they all had to shake my paw and talk to me, and look at me and hear my story and the story behind ToyVoyagers! MrCool |

They got winter vacation now, and got together to eat good food and have fun together. We went to this restaurant, it was REALLY nice, and the people there were nice, and it was pretty and fancy and WOW! I met alot of new people, this was two very nice girls named Lisanne and Griette, i think Griette liked me ALOT! See? She even gave me a little kiss! We all got up and grabbed a plate, and could put on anything we wanted, just, anything! I ate and i ate and i ate, untill my tummy was all bloated! This is Jurrina, i met her before, she also works with Ragnhild, and we talked about the bingo (she was there aswell) and soccer and i got to be with her most of the evening, she liked me toooo! CHECK THIS OUT mom, it was this huuuuge chocolate fountain, and it was like, yum, and i was like, yum, and i was like, eating even more, and...wow! My dessert was fruits, i can be good when i want to mommy, see how good i am? But i mean, im on vacation, im allowed to eat more candy and have more fun than normal then, right? Just had a liiiiittle zip of wine to go with the strawberry there...*hik* My hostess and me They are really weird, i had to go...you know...to the...you know... And they insisted on taking pictures of it! I dont have much privacy here do i? I needed a little help with the "paperwork" tho... And ofcourse, i washed my hands afterwards! I got to borrow this FANTASTIC RED phone, and tried calling you, but you must have been out, cause you never picked up, too bad, cause im really starting to miss you mommy. Even tho im having fun, i do miss you... Got to play in the snow on my way home, it wasnt as cold as on the way to the restaurant, but it was lots of fun, i love snow! By the door at "home" here, it was nice and warm to get inside... Now im off to bed, its been a long day, and tomorrow i heard that we are going to a bar/café, because my hostess is going there for a card playing tournament! I really hope they let me play with them, and i will try my best to get her to take pictures of me again ofcourse! All the best, and lots of love, yours, MrCool |

Hello there!
Today we went to Dreumel, thats a very small place where my hostes' boyfriend is from! They had a card playing competition there, and i had been looking forward to it for a long time already! We got there at about 12:45, it started at 13:00, and we were playing untill about 17:00. They welcomed us with coffee and thee and some christmas cake, and then we started! Everyone was staring at me at first, but then Ragnhild said i was her mascotte, and they really liked that idea! She let me help her play, it wasnt as hard as i first thought it would be, and we did pretty well! At the first table, just started. It was 4 rounds, each round had 4 games, so we played alot of cards This first table, my hostess won 1 of 4 rounds, not too bad, but not that good either... Ofcourse we had some good drinks, this RED beverage was super! I was kinda important, not only as mascotte for my hostess, but i helped them write down who won and all! The 2nd game went better, and hostess won 2 of 4 games, making that a total of..uh...well..two...THREE wins! Its going good! Having some delicious snacks in between, they had enough, and they kept it coming! In the end, hostess ended up winning 6 games, together with two others, so they had to play for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize! Funny thing is, hostes' boyfriend also played that final, so they knew that they would go home with TWO baskets with yummie stuff in! And GUESS WHAT>>> HOSTESS WON 1st PRIZE! Isnt that great? I mean, i was like the BEST (and only) mascotte in the whole pub, thanx to me she won, and a GOOD win aswell, it was a huge basket, with all kinds of good stuff in it! (Can you even see me in it?) Hostes' boyfriend won 3rd prize Greetings from a very snowwy Netherlands, yours truly, MrCool |

To mommy, ich liebe dich und Froehliche Weihnachten!
After my host got home after work, we started stuffing the car with presents and clothes for our christmas trip to their friends, Dennis and Christel. While they were doing this, they even got two boxes from Norway, with presents, just on time before we left! That was so great! This is their "Dom-Dom", as they called it, i don't think it was that stupid, it got us where we wanted to be! When we arrived in Enschede, we were welcomed, and this huge plate with all kinds of good christmas candy was on the table! Isnt it pretty? Me, infront of the christmas tree, its dark, so you can see the lights better I helped putting the presents under the tree... And ofcourse, the food had to be brought to the table, and i was the best helper they said! Dinner is seeeerved! My host even brough Norwegian traditional christmas food, "ribbe", its like spareribs but with more meat on it, kinda. Enjoying the food... After dinner we opened the presents, I handed them out to everyone. I even got to meet santa! I have always imagined he was bigger tho.. He was very quiet too, didnt say much... We were relaxing the whole evening, eating some very delicious candy, they even looked cool! See? Then we watched a movie, it wasnt that good, really weird dutch humour...hmmm... This was our bed, big enough for the 3 of us! Before we went to bed, we had to... ...Brush our teeth ofcourse Then i got to read some comics before i had to sleep. My host got a few comic books from Norway, i didn't understand what it said, but i looked at the pictures, and it was funny And then it was the end of a long, but very nice day! Have done lots, seen lots, eaten LOTS and just had a great christmas celebration! MrCool |

Its not as much snow in Enschede as in Elst, and when i looked out the window this morning, it was starting to melt a little, even tho it was snowing a tiny bit this morning, it was all gone by the end of the day We had a very nice breakfast with boiled eggs, fresh squeezed juice, fresh baked bread and so on (I think im starting to gain some weight mom, theese people dont do anything else than EAT!) I LOVE salmon, and ate it all! Christel was wearing a santa suit! I kinda like dutch girls, they all let me sit on a very nice spot! In the evening we started playing "Catan", it was FUN, and i got totally hoocked on the game! My host and me didn't win, even tho we played it twice, but it was really fun, and we are going back again next weekend, after new years, to play some more! FOOOOOD again It was really cute, theese small pieces of meat and veggies, and everyone cooking for themselves, and it was like MY size meat even! I could take what i wanted, and then put it on the grill, turn it around a few times, and them eat! The mini-meatballs were super tasty, and see, im eating veggies too, good huh? That evening we spend playing "Catan" again, untill 1:30, i was soooo tired, but it was super fun, and another super day! MrCool |

Today was our last day in Enschede, my host and her boyfriend had to go to his parents to be with the whole family, and so did Dennis and Christel, so we packed our stuff, and drove together to Dreumel. My host is very carefull with me, im not allowed to just hang around in the car, sometimes im allowed to walk around a little and such, but she sais its not that safe... It was a little bit more than one hour to drive, it went fast, with some good music and good company, no problem! It was not much snow left over today, but the sun was shining, and my host let me sit in the front of the car, looking out the window. <---Video When we came to Dreumel, i admired the christmas tree and stable they had there... And i met jasper again, remember him mom? We had lots of fun together, and talked about the last time, he is a cool guy aswell! So, that was my christmas mom, it was a nice one, even tho i missed you a lot! Maybe i will be home for christmas next year! Untill next time, all best wishes! MrCool |

Hello!
New years eve, and we were all invited to a pub in Dreumel to celebrate. It was a warm welcome, and as always here, plenty of food! Me sitting at the table we were sitting at all evening The bar owner pulled that "look, im hanging on to a BEER BOTTLE" joke again, im getting rather tired of it tho, and i promise you, i did behave this time, and didnt drink a drop of beer! They had this funny poster on one of the walls there, and i knew little about what this had to do, with what happened later that night!!! Me posing with one of the guests, he was very quiet, very odd, but he was ok i guess This is the only picture that got worth showing, of me and the fireworks, but you can KINDA see it, kinda... This is the front of the bar where we were, they have just been changing the letters of the name of the pub, and some of them are still missing, cause the guy that was supposed to do it, didnt have enough of them with him! After the fireworks we had even more fun, and the guys thought it was funny to cover me with crackers...i had fun eating them :P haha SEE what they had for me? My very own Flügel hat! hahaha It was HILLARIOUS! After a while (it was like...2 in the night or something...) i started to get tired, and got to rest a bit in a pocket... I was really happy to be able to sit in his pocket, it was warm and comfy, and i could see everything and everyone from there! And before we left, i was looking outside the window, it was a new year, it had started good, with good friends, music, food, drinks and laughter, couldnt be better... Miss you lots tho! Happy New year! Yours, MrCool |

In addition to all there are many red things, like an sports shirt, some books and the jersey of my new host. |

Here we are taking the underground at Noviciado station. Another picture in the underground: One day my host take me to the theatre with some friends. We as watching a performance about a very expensive white-colored picture. After the performance we was go to a bar near of the theatre an we take a soft drink. One thurdsday my host take me to skating at the Retiro. Is a big park in the centre of Madrid and we take a tour around the city over in-line skates. Three flags, The Madrid region one, the Spanish flag and de European one. This building are the old main post office of Spain, now is the main building of the city hall. My host show me "the most advanced technology oriented to the management of personal information" in his own words. He says that he has test everything, mobile phone, voice recorder, PDA... bit the classic notepad and a pen is the best method. Practising calligraphy. The Circus has arrived at the city, and it's set on the bullring. Tomorrow I'll go to Alcalá de Henares, a small town (200,000) inhabitants where was born in 1547 the most famous Spanish writer: Miguel de Cervantes. I think tomorrow I'll can write another post and upload new photos. I'll see you soon! |

Hi!
Hello again! Today I have going to Alcalá de Henares, a town near Madrid. My host take me a in-line route by the city. The hots of my host (i think the call it meta-host) guide us by the City. The said that the first city was founded by the Roman and they called it Complutum and was a village where the young noblemen are sent to study. When the Roman Empire falls the Moors take this land and built a fortress and give the city his actual name. Today has 200.000 inhabitants and has four centuries old university. Here we are in the "Estación de Atocha" this is a kind or main station, but my host tell me about another big station called "Chamartín"in the north of the city. Our train leaves in five minutes. We need hurry-up to buy the tickets. Here a two floored train. 35 minutes of travel listening music in this Germany-designed headphones. Yes, I have the right one in my left ear. The writes in this house says that this city and it's university are included the UNESCO World Heritage list. All skating routes with this guys ends in a bar. The main street of the city and my host's friends rolling with her wheeled shoes. This guy was greeting us at the door of the third bar (or it's the four). Here I'm drinking a chocolate shake in the fifth bar. This bar is special because is set in building that from inside it's a old church but from outside is a normal house. One of the uncountable churches of the town. Sculture of Cervantes, the most famous Spanish writer. He writes the adventure of a unfortunate errant knight called "Don Quijote". Another picture inside the church-like bar. All people loves me! In the return I was searching for the hide motor inside my host roller. I can't understand how he can walk so fast with this thing in his feet. My host tell me that the Friday we travel at a very special site. I am very excited. Yeah, I have see lots of things today! Hey you guys! What is this? Some kind of cruel joke, huh? I was all basking in the sun down there in Spain and you send me here? It's March, dudes! It ain't supposed to be snowing! Get me outta here!
Well, at least I got some Girl Scout badges! And some hot soup to warm me up. I hope these people take me to France soon. Snow. I can't believe it. |

Hey!
Yesterday we went around in the cold snapping photos in front of churches. Brrrrr! One of the churches was red, though! That one's St. Anne. On Friday we're going to France. I hope it's warmer. |

Shepherd9 Posted Apr 5, 2010, 8:16 am |
Finally! These people never let me talk to my owner!
So, we went to France. I seemed to spend a lot of time on the inside of a suitcase with LucyK. That goose! My hosts bought a house near the sea and they have lots of work to do on it. We spent lots of time at shops buying paintbrushes and stuff. They said they don't want to paint any of the rooms red. What's up with that? There was nothing red in Brittany. All the houses have blue shutters and the flag is black & white. But the French flag has red in it! Here we are at the house and at the beach. We went to Paris too but nobody wanted to take the train into town that day. My hosts think Paris is too crowded and depressing compared to Brittany. Now we're back in Lithuania and the snow is gone! Next trip, if you're okay with it, is Stockholm for my little host's 10th birthday. |

I got to my other host today! Despite the fact that I travelled in the same country I feel very happy to smell fresh wet grass. Here am I still in an envelope Look what I got to egn. She was happy to see this nice postcard. Here am I with Lithuanian flag. You can count that as one of a part of my life missions as this flag has some red. This trip to another host wasn't so long but I felt asleep so fast. Here am I sleeping with Katyte. She is such a good pet and friend. |

Hey Mum!
Mr.S reached us yesterday! I'm so happy to know that I'll travel to other countries with another TV. Havn't I told you that I'll go to Prague, Paris, Strasbourg and Berlin? Here am I with Mr.S. Today we went outside to plant some flowers and enjoy warm sun. That was such an amazing day. I and Mr.S had a task- to plant some Greek thimbleweeds. [img]We got everything we needed: flower seeds, some mold and white flowerpot. So, we started our work. We put mold and then some seeds. I hope they will grow well until we will come back from our trip. I have to checked them when I'll be back. Hugs, MrCoolH |

Dear Mummy,
today we made some salads. They were engs favourits ones. I have to admit they were very delicious. At first you have to chop almonds to a half. Then chop grapes, which are without bones or take their bones out. And the third step- choppig chicked. Bon appetite! |

We hope that you won't be mad at her. I'll travel with Mr.S. That should be fun XD I have already had my things packed. Bye, Mum! |

Egn had so little time to take photos that she took just a couple of them with me. Our guide was in a big hurry so there were no time to take me of the bag. Here I am in Prague near beautiful building in old town. But she made some nice photos without me. Heading of from Prague to Strasbourg. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy,
here you have some marvellous views of Strasbourg. I likes this city so much! It belonged to France, then to Germany, to France, for a very long time-to Germany, and now it belongs to France. It is said that people of Alsace (the region in which Strasbourg takes place) are the trulliest citizens of France as they loves French culture the most. Now Strasbourg is a capital of EU. We found Lithuania's flag there. I liked the atmosphere of this city. So many little bridges makes this city su historical and even mistical. So many feelings take place there:inteligence, friendship, warm and nostalgia. The famous Strasbourg cathedral. Chairs there were very uncomfortable. A sample of German architecture in Strasbourg. Goodnight, Strasbourg. I'll miss you. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy,
can you believe me, I have visited Paris! Walking around there was the best thing in this trip. I felt there like every minute from a corner I can see a man/woman with white huge wig! That was something amazing... And I saw the Eiffel Tower. It looked quiet strange... I will never understand modern art. Illusions about white wigs were gone. We decided to got on to the top of this tower. The view was just marvellous. It was worth every minute waited to get on this building. By the way, we found an information about Lithuania there. That was quiet odd. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy,
I want to introduce you someone. This is a Lietuvaite (Lithuanian girl), she wears a traditional Lithuanian dress. She is an individual traveler. We met her in the begining of our trip. Bu the way, she had her trip paid by Europarliament member L.Andrikiene. She organized our trip as well, so we are very thankfull. You can see memories about our trip and find Lietuvaite in this website www.laimaandrikiene.lt And here we are. Here is a famous Berlin TV tower. I forgot this building name... Maybe someone from Berlin can help me to remember? I liked this the most. Reichstag-Parliament. Gates of the Branderbourg. I hope I'm not mistaking with spelling. And I just can't remember what it is again... Good night, marvellous Berlin. I'll miss you. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy,
today is the Mummy's Day in Lithuania, so congratulations, Mummy. Egn told me that this holiday usualy takes place in the first sunday of May in Lithuania, but in the second sunday of May in other countries. Egn is extremely sick (she cought a cold in the end of Spring! Isn't that strange...?) so the only thing we can do is to bake a cake for you. At first I found a recipe. This cake is called "Viennese cottage cheese pie". I showed it to others TVs and they agreed that it is a great idea to congratulate our mums. This is what we need to make the best cottage cheese pie ever: 0,5 kilo cottage cheese 6 eggs 6 spoons of butter 1 glass of sugar 1-2 handful of raisins a bit baking powder a spoon of starch There were so many things to do that we distributed our works. Bella de Koe put cottage cheese in a bowl. S mixed egg white with sugar. I put 6 spoons of butter and melted it in an oven. That is how it should look when you put everything together. We put it in forms. Lets bake! We baked this pie in about 200C for 45 minutes. Lets look. The pie was just perfect and it smelled lovely. We are a great team. Hugs, Mum. I have already missed you. |

Dear Mummy,
we went to Sejny today. It was such a nice trip and so unexpected! Here we are-all waiting to head to Sejny. Despite the fact that this town isn't so far from Lazdijai, Lithuania (just about 20 km) it is very beautiful and different. Here is a map of this district. I saw a nice statue there. Polands are very religious people, they charish their churches. I saw one there. Near church I saw a nice chapel. In Sejny lived very famous Lithuanian writer Antanas Baranauskas. Wooden statues are very famous in both Lithuania and Poland. I saw Lithuanian Ambassy/Konsulat there as well. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy,
egn was full of surprises today. Straight from Sejny we headed to Druskininkai! This marvellous city is famous with his unusual architecture and festivals. Despite the fact that it is far from Lithuania's capital Vilnius, many national and international festivals take place exactly here. Here is a nice church of Druskininkai. You can compare style of church in Sejny and of church in Druskininkai. There are so many beautiful little statues in Druskininkai. I think there are over 100 of them. "Europ day" festival took place in Druskininkai that day. The purpose of this festival-tolerance. People with disabilities showed their works and played with instruments so beautiful, gypsies showed theyr dayly life and so on. The whoile city was decorated with Lithuania's flags. I saw Russian church there as well. An example of unusaul architecture. The end of the evening we spent playing bowling. Here I am trying to lift a heavy ball. Here we are, trying to choose the best ball. And I won!!! Hugs, MrCoolH |

Dear Mummy,
I have a nice walking in Lazdijai this evening. It was a bit cold so we didn't waked much. But here is what I saw in this beautiful little town, where both town and country side found place in. Do you know that in Lazdijai distict are more than 200 lakes? A nice St.Ana's church. A nice place where mostly teenagers gather to spend Friday evenings. Many years before this place was built for country side dances and sometimes it still take place here. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy,
I visited a border of Lithuania and Belarus today. I really enjoyed this trip. Take a look at photos, I have made. Sorry for the quallity of photos, egn's photo camera cracked. And you may not believe me, but I traveled with her mother and her job company! That was strange... I visited a nice homestead. In the other side of this river you can actually see Belarus. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Brangi Mamyte/Dear Mummy,
living in Lithuania means experiencing rain every day. They even have an expression: "Cia Lietuva, cia lietus lija" in English it is "Here is Lithuania ( a rain land), here rains are raining". That means that everything can happen here. However, this phrase isn't used when good things happens. It looks more suitable for describing bad things. Neverthless, Lithuania is beautiful and rain gives to it a bit charm. Here is what we have because of rain. A beautiful apple tree. And our cute flowers, which I and S have planted before our trip to Europ, grow so beautifully. We met egn's favourited animal in Lithuania - a snail! This one looks so friendly. Another apple tree. This one smells so lovely! I can't stop smelling it! And I even saw some chickens! A beautiful olive bush, which is going to bloom in the end of this month. Cherry tree. It looks very different to sakura. I met an old snail. You can see that she is old on her shelf. I said "hello" to her. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Brangi Mamyte/Dear Mummy,
today we headed to egn's favourite shopping place. She needed a dress but she bought 4 pairs of shoes insteed! That's crazy... Now she has 15 pairs of shoes for summer. Here we are, all ready and axious to travel. Egn just loves these paintings on walls. I find them beautiful too. However, it is an art after all and everyone understands it in different way. An interesting statue-clock in centre of shopping street. I and Bella de Koe trying to eat this huge cube piece of ice-cream and egn's dad is helping us XD We got to another shopping centre. Here what I have seen in streets from there. Our last stop in Suwalki was garden shop. Egn bought a beautiful bush for her garden there. Hugs, MrCoolHH |
||||
egn Posted May 15, 2010, 7:42 pm |
Brangi Mamyte/ Dear Mummy,
heading back home from Suwalki we stopped to a nice water source. It isn't well known in Lithuania or Europ but water here is said to be the cleanest in area. What an interesting sign showing where the water source is. Going to it. And here is how it looks. Steps to it are extremely slippery so we didn't got any further that this. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

egn Posted May 19, 2010, 2:47 pm |
Dear Mummy,
you may heard about a flood in Europ. It reached Lithuania as well! However, it isn't the worst case. This is how it looked egn's garden after 5 minutes of rain! Egn promised me to have a little walk today so I was checking weather every 5 minutes in egns balkony. Rain stopped for a while so we headed straight to park... However, rain started again and we had no time to make photos. And there very so many rain water tht we even saw a duck swimming there! She may thought that is was a lake... Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy,
I visited the second biggest town in Lithuania today. I think egn had already told you about our plans to delay my yourney to the next host for a day and head to explore Lithuania a bit more. So, all in all, tommorow I will leave this beautiful rainy country. Here I am, going to Kaunas and enjoying Lithuania's countryside. Despite the fact, that this trip is short, we made a stop to have a rest. I had a nice chat with S and Bella de Koe. Egn wanted to buy a dress in Kaunas and this time she promised herself-no shoes It was a hard decidion... Here is the most famoust shop centre in Lithuania. Walking around it. And egn really bought a dress this time So, egn promissed to make us a little walk in Kaunas. I found some information about this building. However, it was only in Lithuanian, so i translated it with google translate. Sorry, if there will be any mistakes. This building is Military Club of Lithuania.
Dear Mummy, it is so late already and I have so much to tell you that I'll end my narration in my next update early tommorow morning, before heading to my next host. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy,
now I cam end my story about trip to Kaunas. A nice festival take place in Kaunas this weekend. It is Kaunas city birthday and this festival is called "Days of Kaunas". Here is poster, who shows that and wishes good day for everyone, who lives and are in Kaunas. Here is a very famous alley, called "The Alley of Liberty". We were walking along it. Because of the festival there were many markets. I found a perfect hat for me. The words on it means "I drink and I drive". This hat is used in bathhouses. I saw sport car parade. So, we were walking when suddenly it started to rain! Egn was furious as she wanted to do me my perfect good-bye trip. So, the only thing we could do was to go to restaurant. We went to a nice Chinese restaurant "Mr. Chan". We got place in terace and I had my own clean place as well. I got my own bowl of rice with eggs and vegetables as well. And egn ordered a big plate of crispy fish to all my friends and me. When it stopped to rain, we continued our trip around Kaunas. I saw an interesting statue. In the centre of "The Alley of Liberty" the statue of Lithuania hero-Vytautas is built.
I saw a woman, wearing traditional Lithuanian clothes and singing traditional Lithuanian songs. Here is the second biggest post office in Lithuania. Another nice statue. "The Liberty Boulevard" is very long.
Here is the other side of this Boulevard. On the scene people were dancing traditional Lithuanian dances. An interesting fountain. I liked this place the most. It looks like the alley in Berlin "Unter den Linden" Egn bought for me a present-sweet candy. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Dear Mummy/Brangi Mamyte,
I'm leaving Lithuania today. It isn't due to I feel bored here. I just believe that there are so many things to do, to see and to experience in this huge world. I believe-I'll come back to this beautiful rainy country one day. Here I am saying good-bye to all my TV friends and to egn's foreign friends. Good bye, Lithuania. I'll miss you. Hugs, MrCoolHH |

Hi Mom,
I wanted to write a quick note to let you know I arrived safely in Massachusetts. McFloozy let me look at my travelog from Lithuania. It was nice to see those pictures, and remember those good times. It is Friday, and McFloozy said that we'll have some fun this weekend. The people at the Acton Post Office are really friendly. They are so happy when ToyVoyagers come. |
||||
McFloozy Posted Jun 6, 2010, 2:48 am |
Today I enjoyed the wonderful activity of porch swinging.
I met some other ToyVoyager friends, and we enjoyed the swing on the front porth. Here we are. In the picture, you can see [/tv]Snowflake, Jeff, [tv]Cilly, Chuckle, and me! Then we climbed up on the porch ledge and McFloozy took our picture again. It was like a ToyVoyager party. I like porches. Summer time, porch swing, and cold drinks. That's a good life. Here I am sipping some iced coffee. That is a favorite drink of McFloozy in the summer. She decorated her Dunkin Donuts mug with stickers from places she visited. You know the motto: "America Runs on Dunkin". Yum I'm not sure what we'll do next, but I'm enjoyinig the summer here in New England. And oh yes, the American flag has red in it, so this visit helps achieve that life goal! |

WOW!
Today we went to the Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, Sand Sculpting Contest. The first thing I saw when we were walking to the beach, was this enormous tiger. Why does this picture make my nose look so big? We walked a little farther, and there was a Pink Panther! Cilly andn I had our pictures taken with her. We got to the beach and I was so excited to see the sand carvings. Here I am with Cilly in front of some of the sculptures. We walked around behind the sculptures, and there was a beautiful peacock! We took a group photo: Jeff, Chuckle, MrCoolHH, and Cilly. The sign said KEEP OUT, so we didn't go any closer. After that, we went and had snacks at the Cascade Seas restaurant. There was a water slide next to the restaurant. That would be fun, but I didn't want to get my fur wet. I just watched the children go down it. Because I'm already very red, I didn't have to worry about getting sunburned. I'll be leaving here soon, and off on a trip. |

I LOVE FRY DOE!
It is tasty and delicious, and so NOT nutritious. It is fried, and has butter and sugar and cinnamon and powdered sugar. First, you decide what topping you want. Then, you order it. Then, you eat it. And it tastes good. Can I open a Fry Doe stand? |

Droga Mamo/Dear Mommy!
It was a long and interesting trip, even though it rained in the evenings. This is me on the train to Warsaw. And here on the first day, at the mall. We took a nice long walk to get there, and the weather was great! We also ate at Burger King... Well, I tried. But they didn't let me. Said I would get fat. In the evening there were shooting stars! Too bad the city is so light and not much was visible. We only caught one in a picture... This is one of me with flash. The camera wasn't really good at taking picture at night! And that was the end of the first day. |
||||
inidhil Posted Aug 26, 2010, 9:57 pm |
On the second day, we went to a super-cool museum! The weather was nice and warm, so even though we went by tram, we came back on foot.
It was the Warsaw Rising Museum. The Warsaw Rising was a very important event in the Second World War-period Poland. I learned all about it and more! The museum is very modern, with some of the exhibits displayed in such a way that you can touch them, get into them, etc. So cool! This is the courtyard before the entrance. And these are the tickets! This was a really awesome room where printers from the WWII period were displayed. And you could actually sit on the seat of this motorcycle! In one of the halls there was a real plane displayed, too! I really enjoyed the museum. There were so many rooms with different displays, even tents, concrete rooms, small 'cinemas' with films and many more. The only thing I would have enjoyed would be to get into the aircraft And this is outside of the museum. There is a really tall tower from which you can see a big part of the city, too. And the other side of the street. Warsaw is a really strange city, sometimes it looks as if it was a mixture of at least 5 different cities at the same time! This is the view from the 1st floor of a mall in the very centre of Warsaw. You can see the Hard Rock Cafe guitar. And this it the Palace of Culture and Science. Did you know that it's the tallest building in Poland and the eighth tallest in the European Union? I wanted to go to the top floor, but it was too late in the evening. It was great to see it though! |

On Saturday my hosts went to the National Museum.
This is the palm tree that grows just next to the museum. Weird, huh? I didn't know there were palm trees in Poland... But my hosts say that it's a 'modern monument'. Whatever, it looks nice. Me in front of the Museum, and behind me you can see paintings by Wyspianski, a famous Polish painter. Unfortunately, no photos inside the museum this time. Then they went to see some friends at a cafe and that was it for Saturday. I had to stay in the bag for over 5 hours and listen to girl talk all the time. Not funny! And on the fourth day we went to visit the Old Town. It was fun! This is the side of the Royal Castle. It was huge! And this is the front. This is me enjoying the midday sun. Tenement houses in the Old Town. They were super colourful! This is Sigismund's Column. The column and statue commemorate King Sigismund III Vasa, who in 1596 had moved Poland's capital from Kraków to Warsaw. Helium baloons! Look how they fly when I blow! This is the church of St. Anne. And this is the Presidential Palace. It is the source of a major controversy in Poland these days, but it's kinda complicated to explain... This photo is nicer than the other one, more me and less palace! This is part of the fortifications that used to surround Warsaw in the Middle Ages. It's another look on that place. What a lovely view! And another one! And this is almost the opposite side of the Old Town, and still some fortifications remaining! This bike was so red that I just HAD to have a photo taken! The ice cream was delicious... And so was this! In the evening we went to a Chinese restaurant. Sorry for the blurry photo, it was really dark inside! BUT! I got to drink a red-coloured beverage: it was raspberry juice. Really tasty! And that was the end of the trip. So much fun! |
