Hi,
today I arrived at my new home in Germany. I was adopted by Katja. Herlinde was also coming with me. Another ToyVoyager, Squirt also gave us a warm welcome. Later Katja wanted to show us a little bit of Remscheid, so we took a walk. The vicinity of my new home is looking like this - nice old houses. I like it here, maybe I'll wait a week or so before travelling again. First I want to learn a bit more about this region here. Fimbo_Fimble |
olgamaus Posted Jan 29, 2011, 6:24 pm |
Mummy brought a sweet delicacy from an Asian supermarket for me, have a look. It seemed to be made just for me
Yummy! |
olgamaus Posted Jan 30, 2011, 12:21 pm |
Today I went to take a walk with Katja, Squirt, Herlinde and Tochi. Of course I am interested to see more of my new home town.
We took a long walk in a lovely forest. An outlook pavilion! This is the valley of the river Wupper. Muengsten Bridge, Germany's highest railway bridge, is overspanning the valley. This bridge is 107 m hight, made of steel. Katja told me that this would be a very colourful place in summer. We had a coffee at a kiosk. We crossed river Wupper to get back to the car. We found some remains of the previous snowy month. The branches are still covered with ice. I must admit that this region seems to be very nice place. |
olgamaus Posted Jan 30, 2011, 3:45 pm |
Today we took a walk with Katja's brother-in-law and his dog. We went to a district called Hohenhagen. From here you can see the city centre in the background, situated on a hill.
We walked over fields, in the background the suburbs of the neighbour city Wuppertal are visible. Brrrr.... it is really cold today, about -5°C. Fimbo_Fimble |

Mummy told me that I have an invitation from Australia. Wow!!!
My first host knows hot to knit, but has never had handknitted socks, so Mummy decided to teach me how to knit socks. I'm working hard now to finish a lovely pair of socks for my host. I hope I will finish them soon so that I could start my exciting trip. Fimbo_Fimble |
fleursmum Posted Jun 14, 2011, 9:45 am |
Hi Fimbo Fimble - those socks look great!! Looking forward to seeing you in Australia! |
olgamaus Posted Jun 15, 2011, 2:50 pm |
In the early morning I left my home with my Mummy. In her lunch break she brought me to the post office. Now I am on my way to Australia.
I hope my journey will not last too long. It seems to be amazing to leave home in summer and arrive in Australia in winter Fimbo_Fimble |

Hi Mummy,
Boy we had a busy day today - Sue had the dentist first ( I hid in her bag cos I could hear the drill - yuck!!) then after that we had a little look at Gisborne - it started cold in the morning but then was a beautiful clear sunny day. We had a look at the fountain but the photo was yuck so we will try again another day! We had a look at the courthouse, the old lock up and the football statues carved out of an old tree - the lady did them with a chainsaw!! Pretty neat huh! |

Look at us - Fimbles on a wall!!! Love from Fimbo_Fimble |
fleursmum Posted Jun 30, 2011, 10:21 am |
Hi Mummy,
After Gisborne Sue drove us up to Mount Macedon - we were up quite high! We had a look at the Memorial Cross at the top - it was built to remember the the people who were in the wars. We had a look at the view over to Gisborne and to the city of Melbourne. |
fleursmum Posted Jun 30, 2011, 10:25 am |

fleursmum Posted Jun 30, 2011, 11:10 am |
Hi Mummy,
Some more of our travels - still up the mountain, Florrie and I had a little rest on a bench, then we drove to Hanging Rock, a strange rock formation - there was a book and a movie made about this place Sue told us, about some school girls who disappeared here and were never found!! We didn't go in , Sue tells me we will do that another day. Hugs and kisses from Fimbo_Fimble |
fleursmum Posted Jun 30, 2011, 11:16 am |
Hi Mummy,
Phew nearly at the end of our day!! On the way back down Mount Macedon Sue called in to Stanley Park, there is a waterfall there but Sue hadn't seen it with water. it has been so dry here for so long the waterfall dried up - can you imagine that?? It looked really good when we had a look at it. |

Hi Mummy,
How are you? I am good here - all the Finbles are happy! This morning I looked out the door and saw all these big white birds, they were screeching and squawking and all trying to get the bird seed at the same time - Sue told me they are cockatoos! Sue feeds them sometimes, but not too often 'cos otherwise they start eating the window and door frames! Bad birds huh!! Love from Fimbo_Fimble |

We had a quiet day today, we took the Chowchow to the park; check out Tane Mahuta Mum, he has a scarey face. He comes from New Zealand and is the God of the forest! (Florrie and me went aahhh!) but then we posed for you on the drinking fountain and that was fun!! We Fimbles rested at home. |

Hi Mummy,
Last night we went in the car to the beach. We had a quiet morning this morning but Sue took us to the beach in the afternoon. It was sunny but there was a very cold wind blowing!! We walked to the boat launching ramp and saw a pelican sitting on the light, Sue showed me the water but she held onto me tight 'cos it was so windy! We took some photos of signs so you could see where we were, then we headed home and had a little rest. Love from Fimbo_Fimble |
fleursmum Posted Jul 10, 2011, 9:56 am |

Hi Mummy,
This afternoon it was sunny so Sue took us to Hanging Rock - remember we had a photo by the front gate another day? Today we went in and were hoping to see a koala, but the Ranger said there were only 3 or 4 koalas in the reserve!! They have been sick and there aren't so many anymore. We did see some koala poo so they must have been somewhere but we couldn't see them. Oh well. Sue is going to try and take us to the Ballarat Wildlife Park and hopefully we will see one there. We had a good day, Sue was huffing and puffing going up the path, we had to have photo stops Sue said, but we knew it was so she could get her breath!! Love and hugs Fimbo_Fimble xx |

Hi Mummy,
This afternoon we went out to the garden to help Sue put the prunings on the rubbish heap - it is a lovely day but very windy. We found the first daffodils hiding in the garden - Sue needs to do some serious weeding here I think!! The dogs came to see what we were doing so I had a chat to the corgi, her name is Fleur, she didn't have much to say though, and then when we came inside and the chow wasn't watching I had a rest next to him!! Tee hee Love and Hugs Fimbo_Fimble |

Sue got a chai and we sat on the beach on the way back and watched the boats and the water. Can you see how we travelled??? Pretty good huh we didn't have to do lots of walking Florrie came this weekend so that was good too! Was a very relaxing day. In the evening we watched the water from the house and saw a big storm cloud coming. Love and big hugs Fimbo_Fimble and Florrie Fimble |

Hi Mummy,
We had a BIG day out today. We drove up to Ballarat, about an hour in the car, and went to the Wildlife Park there so we could meet some Australian animals. When we first went in we saw some kangaroos, so said hello and gave them some food. We saw a mother kangaroo with her joey - it was 7 months old and still living in the pouch. Ballerat Wiledlife Park |
fleursmum Posted Aug 21, 2011, 1:39 am |
Hi Mummy, back again - we also got to meet Collossis the koala at the wildlife park, he was very soft, but only interested in eating his gum leaves - that is the only food they eat, and they eat and eat for hours, but don't move about much because they don't get many nutrients from the leaves. They have a really hard bony bum so they don't get sore sitting in trees all day!! |
fleursmum Posted Aug 21, 2011, 1:42 am |
And Mummy, we got to meet a baby wombat!! How cool is that. Sue even had her photo taken with it - you have to be careful that you don't get too close to a wombats mouth otherwise they will bite - we were told that is their way of communicating - how strange is that? But I was ok - close enough just for a quick photo. |
fleursmum Posted Aug 21, 2011, 1:46 am |
We also saw some emus Mummy, but we looked from a distance - they have big beaks and funny eyes We also had a look at some lace monitor lizards -luckily they were behind glass but they looked very interested in Florrie and me!!
We had a busy and interesting day out and enjoyed the sunshine and slept in the car all the way home!! Love and hugs Fimbo and Florrie |
fleursmum Posted Aug 21, 2011, 11:59 am |

fleursmum Posted Aug 25, 2011, 11:14 am |
Back again Mummy - then we thought now we must be going to the post office but we drove straight past and off we went to Werribee. Sue and her friends went to a scrap book shop (no photos allowed ) then we went down the street and found somewhere for lunch. Have a look at the nice salad Sue had! |
fleursmum Posted Aug 25, 2011, 11:18 am |
Hi Mummy, after lunch we had a walk and found some interesting platypus people dancing in the street , then a bit further along we found some space people, we tried to sing along but we didn't know their songs! We asked for a song but they didn't know our music either! Still we had fun!! |
fleursmum Posted Aug 25, 2011, 11:25 am |
Then Mummy, we drove thru the vege fields to the beach. It was wonderful sitting on the sand in the sun, watching the dogs play in the water. On the way back we looked at a patchwork shop - it was sitting in the middle of a market garden, surrounded by cauliflowers!! So we posed in the cauli's for you On the way home we had a snooze in the car.
Love and hugs Fimbo_Fimble |

Hello Mummy Katja!
Castle Acre Today we went for a walk after lunch around the village of Castle Acre which is about ten minutes away from where my host lives. This archway is in the centre of the village there, it is known as Bailey's Arch. ..we wandered around the village church grounds... ....here is the church itself... St James Church... its a beautiful building, eh? It has a lovely front door too... ..We continued walking through the church grounds... ...We noticed this pretty tree, it stood out because the branches looked almost white in colour.... ... on the other side of the church is the remains of Castle Acres castle so we walked the area around that as well.... It was a lovely walk around a lovely village but it is really cold here mum, I think we may get snow very soon! Fimbo Fimble X |

Hi Mum,
Im okay! My host says thankyou for understanding about her new job and her lack of time recently. Cleaning The Car Well, the weather still isnt great but my host, Frank The Bear and I helped clean the inside of my hosts car this morning... or rather, she cleaned the car and we just played around inside it! I met a couple of our toys sat by the dashboard.. a bumblebee troll and a little sheep who was also an air freshener and smelt very nice I also spotted someone on the back seat. My host calls this toy 'punky monkey', he likes to sit in the back of the car all the time when shes driving! Hmmm.. comfy seating. My host said that on cold days she can turn the heated seats on to warm her up... ...of course no VW Beetle is complete without flowers in its flower holder... pretty yellow ones in this case! ..I think I could drive this car mum.. Well, its starting to rain again now but I shall post again soon. Take care mum! x |

Pier Amusement Arcade, Hunstanton
Well mum tonight we ventured over to the seaside at Hunstanton and spent some time in the amusement arcade there. It was a very colourful place, do you think it is as colourful as Fimble Valley? We played on the two pence coin pushing machines and won four little voodoo doll keyrings - we did try for a bigger toy on the grabber machines but no luck this time! Fimbo Fimble x |

Hi mum,
I've arrived in Austria! My new hosts really liked the presents! I already met two other toys, Schizo and the Couch-Potato Monster. They seem a bit strange but are actually very nice once you get to talk to them. Outside, you can see that spring is arriving but it is raining a lot. My hosts haven't put away their Easter decoration yet, as they thought I might want to see it :-) I'm already looking forward to explore the area! Hugs from Austria! |

Hi mum,
We went shopping today! On our way to the shopping centre, we stopped near a bridge to see the Danube! Very nice view! At the shopping centre, we saw lots of funny shops. Of course, all the shopping made us hungry so we had an ice cream! I tried on a hat but it was SLIGHTLY too big Finally, I discovered a Fimble-sized pan! A nice day! |
curious77 Posted Apr 19, 2012, 6:26 pm |
Hi mum,
We visited the abbey church of Klosterneuburg, which is quite impressive! The gardens are colourful now. In the entrance hall of the museum, there was a very comfortable couch. We took some folders about exhibitions in the area in case the weather is not nice this weekend. However, I hope it will be sunny and we can spend the days outdoors! |
curious77 Posted Apr 22, 2012, 10:41 am |
Hi mum,
We made a really delicious avocado-and-pear salad last night. The recipe is really easy, it is a very good salad and a healthy dinner! I really liked it! |

Hi mum,
We went to the city centre of Vienna. We went to see a beautiful clock. Next to it, we saw a very funny advertising poster. Then we went to famous St. Stephen's Cathedral. Walking through the city centre, we saw two traditional coffee houses and a Fiaker carriage. Vienna is a great city! |
curious77 Posted Apr 27, 2012, 5:47 pm |
Hi mum,
Yesterday, we went for a little walk and saw some quaint summer homes. The owners are very creative. Today it's really hot and nobody wants to move, just sit here and enjoy the sun! Have a nice weekend! |
curious77 Posted Apr 28, 2012, 1:54 pm |
Hi mum,
We've just come back from a nice trip. We went to a nature trail. Near the entrance, we also saw a circus. I hope those fellows were not feeling too hot in the sun. At the nature trail, you can learn a lot about bees, other animals and trees. You are also invited to rest and look up at the treetops - can you see me? The final challenge was to cross a rope bridge - I did it! Now I'll have an ice-cold drink! |
curious77 Posted Apr 29, 2012, 4:08 pm |
Hi mum,
How are you? I hope fine. Curious77 told me that she would be quite busy for a week or a bit longer, so we might not be able to do something exciting or upload new photos. But don't worry if we don't have time to go out. I have lots of books to read and it's so hot that I'm really happy relaxing on the balcony. My hosts make nice dinner every day. I'll get back to you as soon as I have something interesting to tell again! Hugs from Austria! |
curious77 Posted May 13, 2012, 8:03 pm |
Hi mum,
How are you?? Finally, I'm posting some new photos. Unfortunately, the weather was really bad this weekend. I would like to have the first bbq of the year Instead, we played some games. First we played Bohnanza - you have to collect beans. Then we played Domino and afterwards we made a little experiment. We might not make it into the Guinness Book of Records but we had fun anyway! |
curious77 Posted May 18, 2012, 3:05 pm |
Hi mum,
Last night we went to a pub quiz at one of the many Irish pubs in Vienna. One of my hosts drank a shandy, which is called "Radler" in Austria. I had a chicken salad. The quiz was not easy. We did not know all the answers and had to guess some, but in the end our results were quite good. |

Hi mum,
How are you? Today we went to the Prater, the famous Viennese amusement park. We saw many funny rides. I also rode on a horse...well, not a real one but it was fun And I saw the highest flying swing ever, they went up and up and up..... Finally, I saw some cups with Sisi (former Empress of Austria) on them at a gift shop. I really enjoyed this day! |

Hi mum,
I'm getting ready to go to my next host!! I'm very excited! I came here in spring and now I'm leaving when summer is arriving (more or less). Would have liked to try some homegrown tomatoes and beans, but it's still too early! I'll write again as soon as I've arrived! Hugs! |

I arrived save and sound in Lichtenfels! After a long time shaken in the envelope I heard a lot of excited voices. I noticed that I might had arrived at my new hosts! How exciting! I prepared my hair and sat me in position Hello, I am Fimbo! Wow, so much TVs here! They made me a warm welcome and I talked about my last journey to Austria. I was introduced to Günther, he has the same stripes like me , to Wavy Gravy, he is as colourful as I am, to Cheerio, she is as bright as I am and last but not least to Aaron who helped me out in vited me on the sofa. But I prefered the deck chair to take a nap. More tomorrow! Love you, Mummy! Yours, Fimbo |

Hey Mummy!
Today we made a trip to Nueremberg! I would have liked to go by car, but it was not big enough for all TVs So we took the train. To have a comfortable trip we had a cappucciono and something to read. Hostmum bought a familiy ticket and so we could occupy four seats In Nueremberg we inspected the opera house, the Lorenzkirche, a big nur cracker infront of a shop where you can buy christmas decoration the whole year! We made a short rest on the bridge across the river Pegnitz. The next station was the Hauptamrkt. There takes place the famous Christkindlesmarkt in December. On the balkony of the church in the background stands every year the christ child and openes the market! WOW, so much impressions! Now I am really tired and go to bed! Love you, Mummy! |

Hi, Mum!
Today we got an envelope. Maybe a new TV??? I was so excited, what will be inside? I took the scissors and opened it. It was the cute bear girl Bernie originally from Australia. She came directly from her former host in Moscow to Lichtenfels! She showed us some souvenirs from Moscow and we talked a lot about our adventures. And guess what! Hostmum told us that we will go on a trip on Monday. But she didn´t tell where we will go. Now we think about... Love you, Fimbo |

Hello from Berlin, Mummy!
It was hostmum´s first trip to the capitol of Germany and so we did everything, a tourist does there We made a boat trip on the river Spree and crosse several famous buildings. The first crazy building is the house of the cultures of the world, in Berlin also called "Pregnant Oyster" And the Reichstag, where the german parliament is located. We saw much more but it was not always possible to take pictures, so don´t worry Mummy, I had a really nice week in Berlin! Yours, Fimbo! |

Hello Mummy!
On our way back from Berlin we stopped in Lichtenstein at the Miniworld. There a lot of sights are rebuilt in scale 1:25. Just take a look, what I saw in only one hour! The first picture we made is exspecially for you! It is the aerial cableway of Wuppertal! I felt like home! Then there was a pretty gate, located in Lübeck. It is called the Holstentor. The cathedral of Speyer is also a very impression building. Even in this scale! To remember our trip to Berlin we took a picture in front of the ensemble of Brandenburg Gate and Siegessäule and posed in the garden of castle Sanssouci in Potsdam. Time to leave Germany! There were also sights from all over the world! I saw the grat wall of China, originally 21.000 km long! How crazy is that??? And the intersting Sydney Opera House in Australia, a world heritage, built in the 20th century. Wow, what a phantastic trip around the world! Yours, Fimbo |

Puuuuuuuuuuuuh, then I noticed it was made from wood! I wanted to go, but the others convinced me to go to the residence. In the garden I took place under these wonderful tree, a yew. Can you see me? another monster! It was a lion, thank god made from stone! And to the end of the day, I relaxed in front of wonderful and colourful flowers! Great day! Yours, Fimbo |

Today Twixx, one of Hostmum´s TVs came back! He arrived in a spectacular way. We didn´t exactly knew what´s going on when we heard a helicopter above our heads. It landed right between us. We thought about some aliens, but then Twixx came out! We watched together the pictures of his trips and he told us everything about his adventures. Brave little guy! Tomorrow he will continue his journey, he will go to Scotland with Ravyna We met her and her guest Niiskuneiti and wished them a save trip! Many greetings from Germany, Fimbo |

Hi to everyone!
I came home today. I was a bit confused because this was not the home I was used to. Mummy told me that she moved to this nice place in July. I brought a small candle in a glass for Mummy, we would lit it in the evening, she told me. In the afternoon we took a walk, the last one for FerdiFuchs, he would leave tomorrow. The forests are so beautiful now, with all those coloured leafes. Like Mummy promised we lit the candle in a glass with a poem on it in the evening and had a lot of fun. Now I will stay at home for a while, exploring my NEW home. Fimbo_Fimble |

Mummy told me that I got an invitation to visit Susie's in Hesse. That sounds fantastic! I've been sitting around a home for some time. Being at home is fine, but travelling is much better!
I went to work with my Mummy and enjoyed coffee and some sweets with her and her colleague. When the weather is bad, Mummy usually is taking her knitting with her, for knitting in the lunch break, so today. She is knitting socks for Philipp, her son. I pinched some sweets to make the journey to my next host funnier and hopped into my envelope. I am now on my way to Susie's . Fimbo_Fimble |

Hey Mommy,
wow that was a quick journey. After just one day I arrived at my new host's office. Susie's freed me from my envelope right away and I gave her the sweets and the nice postcard I brought (she says thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you ) Hostmum couldn't resist and ate some of the chocolate immediately (and shared with me). It seems that I arrived at the perfect day. Cause there where already some plans do to some sightseeing in the evening. After work Susie's introduced me to the other Toyvoyager she's hosting. It's Bussi. Togehter we hopped on a subway to downtown Frankfurt and started our sightseeing tour at the place called Römer which is a very famous sight. In the 14th century this was the place were the emperors and kings were elected. Today it is the city hall. From there we continued our tour to the roof terrace of a department store with a really great view at the illumnated skyline. Veeeeeeeery nice. At the end we got to see the building of the old opera. It was first opend in 1880, was almost completely destroyed in world war II but luckily was rebuild and then was re-opened in 1981. Later that evening we got to new host's home where Bussi showed me the place where we are staying. That was a pretty interesting first day. Bye Mom. Love you |

Hallo Mama,
even if the weather wasn't the best, hostmum wanted to go for a walk. We choose the park of the baroguecastle Phillipsruh for our walk. It's right by the river Main. The building work for it started in 1701. Initiated by Lord Philipp Reinhard von Hanau. Hope you had a nice weekend too. Kussi yours F-F |

Man, we were busy today!
In the morning we visited Susie's Mom. There we met two cute little fellows. One of them seems to be some kind of a relative to me (or so). At least he has the same colours than me. After that we got gas for host mum's car and then bought groceries. Back at home we helped to vacuum, do laundry, clean the dishes, mop the floor and to make a cake. Somewhen in between we even took out the trash. Puh, and now I'm exhausted. Buuuuuut hostmum promised that the cake will be all ours. (unfortunately the bottom broke of when we took the cake ou of the baking pan. But oh well). Love yours F-F |

Hey Mom,
hostmum had a surprise for us today. Since we helped her so much yesterday, she took us to Frankfurt (by train this) to see a very special place. We went to the Zooooooooooooo. There were so any animals. Penguins, a Tiger, a Lion, Monkeys, Birds, fishes and lots more (there are a whole bunch of animals I can't even name). That was so cool! I send you a big hug. |

Good Morning Mama,
yesterday morning I had to say goodbye to my friend Bussi. He is now on the way back home to his mom. After we dropped him off at the post office we went to the train station, bought a ticket and hopped on a train to Frankfurt/Main. To see the exhibition of Rineke Dijkstra (she is an artist from the neatherlands) in the museum of modern arts. Most of the exhibits are made by herself but she also picked exhibits from other artists. For example from an artist from Remscheid. On the way to the museum we came through the "Kleinmarkthalle" (small market hall) where you can buy lots of very fresh foods, delicacies and pretty flowers. After the museum we walked to the river Main to enjoy the sunshine. Yes it's true the sun was shining yesterday for once. Did you know that it is the greyest winter within the last 60 years? Frankfurt has only 46% of the sunshine it usually has. We crossed the river Main on the bridge "Eiserner Steg". All of those locks there are put up by lovers. It is a symbol for everlasting love. How cute. On the way back to the train station I got to see the Cathedral and a moving sight of Frankfurt. The colourful streetcar train is called "Ebbelwoin Express". It's meant for sightseeing and you can drink the famous Frankfurt Apfelwein (wine made of appels). I had such a great time in wonderful Frankfurt. Love you Mom |
Susie's Posted Mar 10, 2013, 9:08 am |
Hello my dear Mummy,
yesterday we went on another train ride. First to Frankfurt central station and from there to the town of Bad Kreuznach (which is the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate). First we spent some time at a friends house and then did some sightseeing in the afternoon. In Bad Kreuznach the bridge houses are very famous. The bridge they are on crosses the river Nahe. There is a pretty nice old town too. We also walked on a panorama path (but just for a few minutes because we didn't have too much time). Since it goes uphill pretty steep we were out of town and had a great view over the valley after just a short walked. On the way back to host mums home town we took the car and came by the Frankfurt airport. Can you see the planes? Have a nice sunday. KissKiss |

Hi Mum,
how are you? Hope you are doing good. Poor host mum is so sick since a few days. Of course I did the best I could to help her to get better as soon as possible. I brought her medication and tissues, made tea for Susie's, prepaired a hot bath and a hot water bottle and even read to a book to keep her entertained. But unfortunstely she's still not feeling better. That means there will be no adventure or sightseeing or anything like that for me. But that's ok. Maybe we can do something at home in the next few days. Love you |
Susie's Posted Mar 19, 2013, 3:54 pm |
Hallo Mama,
since Susie's is still pretty sick, we won't go anywhere any time soon. But yesterday we got a visitor who brought us some sushi! Ohhhhhhh that was sooooooo good. Yumm yumm. After we filled our bellys to the max we played a game called Rummy. I was pretty good at it. But I felt so sorry for hostmum that I let her win. love Fimbo_Fimble |

Hello Mommy,
we finally got to leave the house again this morning. Susie's mom took us to a nursery for some shopping. At least inside that store spring seems to be started (with lots of beautiful flowers). Outside it's way too cold. Brrrr.... Hugs and kisses Yours F_F |

Susie's Posted Mar 29, 2013, 5:33 pm |
Hey Mommy,
we finally had the chance to go on a day trip again. In the morning hostmum and me drove to the town of Bad Nauheim. It's a very lovely place and calls itself the city of health (Nine mineral springs are bubbling in Bad Nauheim which provide healing waters of excellent quality and a particular richness in minerals). First we took a historic walking tour through the old part of the town. With lots of interesting buildings and half-timbered houses. But the most interesting and the most famous houses of all is the Hotel Grünewald. Do you know why it is so famous? It's also called the European Home of...... Com'on mom! Guess! This place was the home of Elvis Presley for 18 months while he was in the military. From there we walked through the Kurpark with the lake to the so called Sprudelhof (which surrounds the bubbling mineral springs with six bath houses). Very nice place. And how was your day? XOXO Fimbo |

Hello there,
look what I did. On saturday I coloured easter eggs. To make sure I won't get to colourfull Susie's gave me a cover at some point. But don't worry mom I could breath just fine. Love your easter bunny |
Susie's Posted Apr 1, 2013, 6:23 pm |
We spent this easter monday in Frankfurt with a total contrast programm.
First we did some hiking on a hill called Lohrberg which is right outside downtown Frankfurt. You can even see the skyline from there. Can you see it too mum? But enough of nature. From the hill we went straight to a fun fair called "Dippemess". We didn't ride a rollercoaster or anything. But played some games. Horserace and Coin dozer. We even won some prizes but gave them away to some kids. Other than that we munched our way through the fair. Ice cream, popcorn and what not. Yumm yumm I send you a biiiiiig hug |
Susie's Posted Apr 6, 2013, 7:54 pm |
Guten Abend Mama,
We spent some time in a small park that surrounds the small castle of Wilhelmsbad in the town of Hanau. We just walked around for a while and look at stuff here and there. The castle itself was build by command of Lord Wilhelm IX./I. of Hessen-Kassel and was opened in 1779 because in the area a healing spring was found that was supposed to be used as a sanitarium. But in the year 1860 it dried up. Today the castle Wilhelmsbad is home of a small theater, a Cafe and a Doll museum. But since it was rainy we couldn't stay outside for too long. Have a nice weekend |
Susie's Posted Apr 14, 2013, 7:46 pm |
It's spriiiiiiiiiiiiing! Finally!
The first time in months that the sun was shining (almost) all day. and we had temperature above 20°C. That was sooooooo great. Of course we spent the day outside. Hostmum took us (me and the new toyvoyager that is here since last friday) to a place called Schwanheimer Düne. It is one of the very few inland sand dunes in Europe. From there we reached the river Main and strolled along. Before heading home we treaded ourself with a big load of ice cream. Yeah! Love ya |

Hi,
since my host has a bad hurting lumbar vertebra, she couldn't stand or walk for a while. Therefore we didn't do any sightseeing. But now the spring is here finally and we couldn't resist to go outside. See all this fresh green. And those magnolia blossoms. They fit quite well to my fur, don't you think so? |
Biggi Posted May 21, 2013, 9:28 pm |
Hi,
today our host said, she would like to show us her favourite place. So we were quite excited, what it would be. The host said: "Look, there it is!" I thought, oh well, nothing special. Some trees besides a field. What makes this place to special? But then we walked closer. And we found: The "Elsenau" witch is a (Lourdesgrotte) pilgrimage chapel like Lourdes. Our host isn't very religious, but this place seems to touch here deep inside. I liked this calm and peaceful place. The waterfall, the roof made the leafes of the surrounding trees. It seems lots of people believe in the blessing of this place as there were lots of candles burning, and all the fresh flowers. |
Biggi Posted May 26, 2013, 8:40 pm |
Hi Mom,
hostmom said, the Toyvoyagers Family is growing and she let me met 5 new TV's. We went in the garden I met a wooden sheep and sniffed on apple blossoms |

Hello,
we made a trip, but unluckily the batteries of the camera were down and we had none to replace them. So sorry no pictures from Pforzheim yet. But yesterday we were lucky, we catched a good sunset. We went up the hill to the "Dreifaltigkeitsberg" (which means Trinity Hill), which is 985 meters above sealevel. There is a monastery and church, first founded in the year 1415 as a little chappel. Later in the 17th century, the church was built and enlarged through the years. A good view downhill on the city of "Spaichingen". While the sun went down, we went for a walk through a field of flowers. Because there were already lots of shadow, you may not see clearly how beautiful all those flowers were. But believe me, they were. As the sun went deeper to the horizon, we changed position again. Profile Picture What a calmfull evening! |

Hi
yesterday we made a trip through the "Simonswälder Tal" which is a beautiful valley. Lots of motorcyle riders love to drive there because of all the curves and the nice view. That's what I call a black forest! Fir trees make this forest looking dark and it must have been a frightfull place in former ages. Look at those old and typical farmhouses On this sign you can read whats the name of the three valleys and in which direction they are when you look around from this spot. View up the hill, some fields of grass, some birch trees, but mostly fir trees. Some group pictures of me and the TV-gang. |

Hi Mom,
this weekend our host and her roommate invited us to join them while making strawberry marmelade. Look how many strawberries we had bought. They looked very delicious. First we washed them in a bowl of water. Then we cut them and took of the leafs. Later we put them in a cooking pot. And then put in special sugar. Just a few minutes boiling and the marmelade was ready to be put in jam jars. See how much jars we filled? We were allowed to taste a bit. Yummie! I'm looking forward to next breakfast. I wanna eat that much Hugs |

Hi
as our host is still in hospital Monday to Friday her roommate offered to take us with her to the Island Mainau in the Lake Konstance. She was very excited to use hosts camera but unfortunately most of the pictures aren't showable. A view on the lake Konstance. A fountain in a little pond. A tower just like in a fairytale. ehm, thats all of the good pictures. Maybe our host can take us there again once she left hospital? Hugs Fimbo |

Hi
as promised Biggi took us for a walk in the sorrounding area of the hospital. We found a nice garden area with nice yellow flowers Then Lavender Bear smelled a familiar scent and found: LAVENDER! Some nice little white bush roses Then we found climbing roses. As we wanted to sniff we climbed up there After that we took a break on a bench and I took a sunbath on a big leaf Before we had to go back, we climbed on lots of branches to get a better view. Hi,
since my host wasn't and still isn't in a good health condition, I couldn't post updates regularly. So this is about our trip to the Island Lindau in the Lake Bodensee. First view on the Lake Constanze (Bodensee) View on the monastery Birnau We stopped to take a break of driving and getting some fresh air. What a nice view on the lake and the surrounding area. and the monastery again a last group picture before getting back into the car. At Lindau was a exhibition of the famous painter Miró. Therefore a lot of merchandising is reminding of him. Like these flower tubs. In a backyard we found this interesting statue We even found a big redwood tree. Some views on the pedestrian zone The old town hall with it's beautiful paintings built in 1422. The harbour guarded by the lighthouse and the lion, which stands for the bavarian kingdom. It was built 1856. |

Hi
this trip brought us to Ulm to visit the "Ulmer Münster" We had nice weather on the trip. The "Ulmer Münster" was built from 1377 till 1488 and has the highest church tower in the world. We didn't want to be impiously so we didn't make pictures inside. |

Hi
this time we went to the "Knopfmacherfelsen" (Buttonmaker rock) with it's viewing point high above the river Donau. This point is named by a saga about a man who was a button maker. A ghost shall have guided him over the rock. |

I came back home today. Mummy is happy to have me back ... but I do not want to stay at home too long, travelling is much more exciting
I think my TV fellows were happy because I brought so many delicious chocolate with me Thanks to Biggi for hosting me and especially for showing me beautiful lake Constance. Fimbo_Fimble |
