Hello everybody, I'm Pingu - a cuddly penguin.

I've just been activated.  I'm at home with 8 other ToyVoyagers waiting for my adventures to begin.

There are 4 other "new" Voyagers, I am the second to be activated. We are all excited, ready for whatever adventures may come our way.  I think my guardian is still trying to think of names for the other 3 !!!!!!!

There are also 4 "seasoned" Voyagers who seem to have been on loads of adventures between them  - us new ones are listening to their stories with great interest.

Here is a photo of me with my 4 new ToyVoyager friends.

I'm on the far left.  The yellow bear and fluffy dog are still unnamed and waiting to be registered.  The pink bear is Fiona and the brown dog is Kenneth.

Today is the start of my adventures.

I am going to The Netherlands, where a nice lady called Marjolein is going to look after me and show me the sights.

One of my life missions is to go on a plane - I wonder if that's how I will travel?

What a glamourous place to start my travels - the main post office in Bradford.

But we've all got to start somewhere.  So I've been stuffed in a jiffy bag and sent via airmail to Holland - not the way I would have liked to have travelled on a plane but I suppose it will fullfill my life misson.

I'm looking forward to seeing Holland (and maybe the surrounding countries) and reading all about my adventures on here.

I presume I am somewhere over the English channel on my way from England to Holland (I hope I'm not lost).  Hopefully I will arrive at my new home in Holland very soon.

Dear mum,

I arrived in the Netherlands! Atfortunalety Marjolein was in Bruges this weekend so she just found me today. I was very happy to be out of the envelop! Nick and LiLA Bear welcomed me in 's-Hertogenbosch. They had very much to tell me. I'm sure my stay in the Netherlands is going to be really great!

Dear mum,

I went to see the Dutch national footballteam today!! In the footballstadium of PSV Eindhoven in Eindhoven. The match was between Holland and Denmark.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3564.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3594.jpg

Before the match, there was a giant toy on the field! He had a drum with 'Dutchy' on it. Marjolein told me this is the mascotte of the Dutch team. I said he should also travel but Marjolein doubts he will fit into an envelop. She told me a little secret: there is actually in man inside that lionssuit!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3592.jpg

But then the match began. First it was time for the national anthems. The Dutch anthem is called the 'Wilhelmus' named after Willem I, king of the Netherlands in the 16th century. The song has 15 verses but they only sing one at the footballmatches. Most of the Dutch only know this verse.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3615.jpg

That's the goalkeeper of the Netherlands, Edwin van der Sar, on the big screen.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3624.jpg

And they're off!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3626.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3632.jpg

Do you see all the people nicely dressed in orange? Orange is the Dutch national colour. This is because their royalty's (queen Beatrix and family) are called Oranje (orange in Dutch).

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3635.jpg

Rafael van der Vaart (number 23, footballer of HSV, in Germany) took a cornerkick for Holland.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3638.jpg

And Holland scored!!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3646.jpg

Chompers was so excited! We couldn't see anything!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3650.jpg

But I was also partying!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3654.jpg

So when the second half of the match began, it was 1-0 for Holland.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3671.jpg

But then Denmark got dangerous!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3674.jpg

O no! Denmark scored!!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3676.jpg

And that was the end of the match. The first half was very good, but the second half the Dutch team played sloppy and they let Denmark make a goal. I hope they will do better at the European Championship next month! This game was just for practice.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3679.jpg

The stadion of PSV Eindhoven is a very beautiful stadium, also on the outside. It's called 'Philips Stadion' because Philips is their sponsor. Philips is a factory that makes lamps and other electric stuff. Eindhoven is therefore also called the 'Lichtstad' translated something like The city of Light. That sounds beautiful doesn't it?

Hi mummy!!

We went to the biggest Bingo of Holland today! There where lots of Dutch singers and Marjolein and Kasper also won something! They both won a replica of the t-shirt the Dutch national team whore during the World Championship of 1974! It was so cool!

This all happened in the footballstadium of the club Vitesse, the Gelredome, in Arnhem (or Arnheim in German). It didn't really look like a stadium, like the Philips Stadion. But that's because the Gelredome was also built for things like performances of big artists and of course superbingo's hihi.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3730.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3734.jpg

It was really big and there where about 36000 people inside!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3682.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3683.jpg

Gerard Joling, who is a famous Dutch singer, presented it. He looks a bit weird in is golden suit but Marjolein said that's because he is gay.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3684.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3685.jpg

Jan Smit also performed. He is from Volendam and he has is own real life soap. He has been a famous singer since he was very small and he sang a song for his grandmother. Marjolein has got one cd of him and she thinks he's cute. O and she has some underpants that say: Mrs Smit, as if she is Jan's wife haha. Marjolein got them from Kasper, he is a bit weird too.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3689.jpg

Politicus Agnes Kant was also on the party. That is because the goal of the Bingo was to raise money for playgrounds for Dutch children. Agnes Kant also wants more playgrounds.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3692.jpg

And of course was Rene Froger singing on stage! He also sings in English so I could finally understand some of the songs!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3694.jpg

This is Edsilia Rombley. She went to the Eurovision Songcontest for the Netherlands twice. She never won.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3699.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3701.jpg

I helped fill in the Bingocards for Marjolein.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3703.jpg

The biggest act was Frans Bauer! All Dutch people love him because they think he is so normal. The Dutch don't really like it when people are to drama. Frans did kidnap this child on stage but she seems to enjoy herself.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3716.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3724.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3725.jpg

The Bingo was also the final for a program called 'Kinderen zingen met Sterren', which means Children sing with Stars. There where 4 teams on stage. The team that sang with the duo Nick and Simon from Volendam won.

Hi mum,

I am so happy you are thinking of me! I am also thinking of you! I miss you but I am also having a really good time in the Netherlands! LiLA Bear went on with her journey today. Marjolein brought her to the postoffice and send her off to England (where I come from!). I am going to miss her! I hugged her goodbye and wished her good luck!

Dear Pingu,

I'm so glad you're having a good time.  You certainly look to be eating well - that Russian Stroganoff looked really yummy -much better than the food you're used to at home.

And you are making lots of new ToyVoyager friends which is also good.

I hope the weather in Holland is better than here - it's raining at the moment.

Carry on enjoying yourself.

Hi mum,

I met some penguinfriends today! The big one and the small one on the right are from New York! The lived at the zoo from the movie Madagascar and Marjolein took the small one home. A year later her boyfriend Kasper also went to New York and he brought the big penguin from the same zoo! The littlest is not a toy but he was very hard and he didn't say much. Kasper's mother saved him for Marjolein from a second hand store. The one with the surfboard is from MacDonalds! Marjolein found her in a Happy Meal :)
We did some talking about where we all come from. We had all never been to the South Pole, where penguins really live! Maybe someday I can visit my family there!
When we where finished talking we found a cool Dutch book with poetry in it from children. It's from a festival called 'Doe Maar Dicht Maar'. This book is from 2007. Marjolein went to that festival. We read two beautiful poems. One called 'Onbewogen' which means something like still.  It's really sad, about a young girl in a burned house. The other poem was way more cheerful and called 'Een mooie regenboog' which means a beautiful rainbow. Maybe I can ask Marjolein to translate the poems for you sometime.

Hi mum,

Because the Dutch footballteam played their first match for the European Cup (against Italy) yesterday (Holland won with 3-0!!) we decided to play some ToyVoyagersfootball!

I was in the team with Nick and Roots Bear.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3764.jpg

But then Davy attacked!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3765.jpg

He tried to score... But I got the ball!!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3766.jpg

We turned the game around, Nick attacked Chompers! He played the ball to Roots, Roots played it back to Nick. Nick tried to score...

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3767.jpg

And he scored!!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3768.jpg

Woohoo! My team won!! Now I can't write anymore because I have to get back to some more footballmatches!

Dear mum,

On the day the Dutch footballteam played their second game, I went to the zoo! It was the zoo of Rotterdam called Diergaarde Blijdorp. I wondered if I where to meet some of my penguinfriends.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3776.jpg

And do you know what was the first thing we saw when we entered the zoo? PENGUINS :D

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3778.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3777.jpg

Look at me, with my own kind!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3781.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3780.jpg

I asked them if they liked it in the zoo.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3787.jpg

They answered: 'Well, you know, it's kinda cool. But also too hot, so you know, living in the snow would be cooler.'

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3786.jpg

I asked them if I could help them escape! Just like the penguins in the movie Madagascar. But they didn't very much like this idea and they turn their heads from me.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3782.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3779.jpg

'Leave us alone!', they said.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3785.jpg

'We are living a nice and quiet live here, so we don't need you putting ideas in our heads! With traveling and all, that's not normal for a penguin!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3784.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3783.jpg

So then I felt sad. I thought it would be cool to meet some of my penguinfriends, but they don't very much seem to like me. But when we walked on, I met some more penguins. These where King Penguins.
At first they didn't see me.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3838.jpg

Then one saw me! He called me and ask me if I had some escapetips!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3839.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3840.jpg

I talked to him, I said I could help him, of course. I love traveling and they also want to travel!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3841.jpg

I waved to them: 'Hi friends!' 'Maybe you could escape when you get food!'

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3842.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3843.jpg

They looked at their trainer. But he looked very angry. So they told me they don't have the courage at this moment but maybe later. Ooh, I'll be checking the Dutch newspapers for missing penguins!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF3845.jpg

Chompers was being silly. He also wanted to be a penguin hihi. But of course I am the only REAL penguin here.

Dear Pingu,

Thanks for keeping me updated with your adventures.  You look to be having a great time.  I enjoyed looking at the photos of your trip to the zoo (you know how I love animals).  And wow , you fullfilled one of your life missions - you met a real penguin - I hoped you thanked Marjolein very much for helping you achieve this.

Also very good news about how Holland are doing in the European cup.  They look by far the best team so far, fingers crossed for a Holland victory.

Look forward to hearing about what you do next. And remember to be good.

Hi mum,

I ate some real Dutch food today: herring and stroopwafels. The call herring, when you eat it like this Hollandse Nieuwe. It doesn't look very yummie, but it actually was! They eat the herring not with knives and forks but they bite it out of the sky! Weird Dutch people ;)

Dear mum,

Marjolein says hi and thanks for remembering her birthday! We had a great time at Marjoleins parents house in Groningen! Marjolein made a delicious chocolatecake called Torta di cioccolate and a pink cheesecake with mango's in it! She got lots of presents such as a cool shirt, lots of books and the dvd-box of the first season of Ugly Betty!

Marjolein parents live in a suburb of Groningen called Lewenborg. It used to be all farmland untill the seventies. There is still a farm and some farmland with sheeps on it now.

This is what their house looks like:

In the province of Groningen, the village Warffum is every year an international dance-festival called Op Roakeldais. This is in the dialect of Groningen and means something like 'hoping for the best'.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4059.jpg

People from all over the world come to Warffum for this festival that takes about a week. Dancegroups from for example Mali in Africa:

And the also say that when you are 50 'you say Abraham'. So Marjolein also bought some stuff with Abraham on it. When a women is 50 the will 'see Sara'.

In a big tent some groups from the parade also danced on stage during a performance called 'The world dances in Warffum'.

Hello,

In Nieuweschans, in the province Groningen, was a very cool festival today. It was called Celtic Midsummer Festival (in Dutch:Keltisch Midzomer Festival).

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4298.jpg

It was so cool! Lots of people where dressed up.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF42831.jpg

Asterix and Obelix where even there! There was a battle between the grown-ups and the children and the children won everytime! Of course I was cheering for them :D

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4296.jpg

We had beers and spare ribs.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF42961.jpg

And we danced to Celtic music from the Dutch band Rapalje. And the German band called Faun.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4297.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4292.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4291.jpg

Marjolein coloured a candle and her boyfriend Kasper got a very cool stone mug with 'Rapalje' on it! They also bought special tea. Marjolein's mother bought lots of juwelery and she flirted with Obelix! He didn't have a shirt on and was getting very red in the sun. So she offered him some sunblock! ;)

I had a great time!!

Apart from the nice bed, the view from the window wasn't all that.

Florence is the place to be, lalala :D Florence has to be the most beautiful city I have ever seen! Did you know that every year lots of tourists end up in the hospital because they are overwhelmed by the beauty of Florence? It's called the Stendhal Syndrome after this man called Stendhal. He is the first person of who it is known he fainted after seeing Florence. His heart stopped pumping and he coulnd't breath. Thank God none of us had these problems but it is such a beautiful city!

Saint George (from Saint George and the Dragon) made by Donatello

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4547.jpg

The tourguide of the trip told us a story about this George. Donatello made this statue and showed it to his master. He asked him if there is anything wrong with George. His master answered: Yes there is something wrong. Donatello of course wanted to know what this was. But his master simply answered: I won't tell you, you have to find out yourself. Donatello wondered and wondered, he looked at George and he could not find anything wrong with him. He got ill of these doubts. Donatello got so sick, that at one point he was actually dying. On his deathbed he asked his master: Please tell me, what was wrong with Saint George? His master said: He doesn't breath. He looks so real, if he breathed he could just walk towards us. And then Donatello could die in peace.
It's a wonderfull story, but in reality Donatello lived happily ever after, after making this statue. But it's a good story :)

The fifth day was a bit of a travelingday. We went to Siena first, but after that to our new hotel in Fiuggi. First Siena. This is a very old city from the Dark Ages.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4631.jpg

It has a very famous square: Piazza Del Campo. The people of Siena call it the most beautiful piazza of the world. It has the shape of a shell.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4637.jpg

Every year this Piazza turns into a racecourse. When the 'Palio' (horseraces) takes place, every person from Sienna goes to the Piazza. They stand on the inside of the square and the horses run on the outside.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4639.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4660.jpg

Every part of the city have a horse in the race. And it doesn't matter if the jockey makes it to the finishline, when the horse makes it, the horse wins. Sometimes accidents happen because the jockey doesn't ride the horse on a sadle.

Time to visit Rome! Or Roma as it's called in Italy. The bus brought us to Rome. We took the subway to go to the centre of the city. Went we got back at the streetlevel this is the first thing I saw:

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF4758.jpg

The Colosseum! The Colosseum is soooo big!! It was built between the year 70 and 80 AD. The use was an amphitheatre. You could watch fights between lions, between lions and gladiators or just between gladiotors. One way or another, people would die. When the Colosseum was opened the Romans celebrated the opening with a party of 100 days. In these days everyone was welcome in the Colosseum. Everyday the fights and other events happened during the entire day. Romans where very ahead of their time: they already had fast food! You could buy it at stands near the Colosseum. Bread and wine, that sort of stuff.

The second day in Rome! This day we had some time off in the morning and in the afternoon we went to the St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

On our free time we found a cool Toy Store called Al Sogno.

They had lots of very cool toys.

Too bad Marjolein found the toys way to expensive. But they seem to have a really good life in the store and they will be bought by rich people who will give them a good life :)

We had pizza again today! After walking around we went to Vatican City to see the St. Peter!

Pompei is a town from the first century after the birth of Christ. It was built by Romans.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5037.jpg

Years (about 15 years) before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, the town was destroyed by on earthquake. The inhabitants of Pompei didn't know it then, but this was just Mount Vesuvius warning them for the eruption.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5038.jpg

There where other warnings. The water dissaperead. Because of the hot lava the Vesuvius was making the water turned into steam.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5112.jpg

In Pompei lived about 20.000 people. The went to the store

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5088.jpg

To the bakery

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5105.jpg

Or to a bathhouse

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5081.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5076.jpg

Or the just sat in there own garden, for example in the House with the Little Fountain

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5094.jpg

But on 24 August 79 the time stopped. The day turned into night and this lasted for three days. People didn't know what was happening. Some died because they breathed in the ashes of the mountain. Some died because of rocks flying around. Most people died right at the spot.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5071.jpg

Almost everybody died in 79. But the city was preserved really well because of the ashes of Mount Vesuvius. So that's good for us, we can learn a lot, about the way people lived and what happened that day. We can go back in time and walk around like the people of Pompei used to do.

We set foot on the land and went into the harbour of Venice after a trip of about half an hour.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5401.jpg

On our way to Piazza San Marco we saw The Bridge of Sighs. This bridge passes over the Rio di Palazzo and connects the old prisons to the interrogation rooms of the Doge's Palace. It got it's name because the prisoner got a last look at Venice and their loved one from the brigde before there inprisonment or death and used to sigh there.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5372.jpg

On the Piazza San Marco stands the Basilica di San Marco a Venezia.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5259.jpg

There also stand two poles on the Piazza San Marco. No inhabitant of Venice would ever stand between those two poles, because people used to get excecuted their. Gulp!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5250.jpg

On the left pole stands a lion. The lion is the animal of Venice.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5251.jpg

We went for a walk around the city. The first thing we saw was the second most famous bridge, the Rialto Bridge. It's the oldest bridge in the city and build in 1181.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5286.jpg

We had the most wonderfull view from the bridge!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5292.jpg

We walked on and saw some beautiful sights.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5330.jpg

Then we came across the only wooden bridge in the city: Accademia Bridge.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5336.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF5341.jpg

But sightseeing was the only thing we did, we also did some shopping! We saw a great toystore again, this was a Disney store!

Venice stretches over 118 little islands. It has a population of 271.251 people. People have lived on the islands for centuries but it is known as a city since the ninth century.

In the evening after our trip to Venice we took a little walk down the beach near our hotel. I saw the Adriatic Sea in Venice but now I also got to touch it!

Dear Pingu,

Thanks for keeping up up to date with what you have been up to.  What an amazing holiday you have been on.

I particually liked the photo of Switzerland as we visited there in 2005.

I have never been to Italy - but I am visiting there next February for a school skiing trip.  I don't think I'll be visiting all the exciting places that you have though (and I hope there'll be a bit nmore snow!).

Pisa and Pompeii looked amazing on your photos, as did Venice - which I had never fancied visiting till I saw them.
I've always wanted to go to Rome though - and your photos have re-inforced that.

Safe journey back to the Netherlands. Look forward to hearing what you get up to next.

Love Mum.

After the day at FC Groningen we went to the annual festival in Groningen called Noorderzon. At Noorderzon it's always fun with theater, music and lots of food! I saw a really cool car, with speakers so we could hear really cool sixties music coming from the car! Chompers thought the car was so cool, he jump right onto it to have his photo taken!

Hi mummy!

We went to visit Marjolein's boyfriend at his internship at the footballclub PSV Eindhoven! We weren't allowed to make photo's inside the stadium but we made some cool shots in front of the stadium. Maybe you remember I went inside the stadium in May?!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF6283.jpg

The guy on the photo is Coen Dillen. He was a famous footballplayer for PSV. He played at the club in the fourties, fifties and sixties. He stands in front of the stadium.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF6280.jpg

On the background is the entry-gate to the stadium. You can see the sign of PSV and the words: 'Eendracht maakt macht'. This means something like: United we stand stronger.

Hello!

Today we visited the Bookmarket of Tilburg! This is the biggest bookmarket of the South of The Netherlands.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF6304.jpg

Marjolein bought these books:

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF6378.jpg

It's: Angels & Demons from Dan Brown, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre and a book called 'Bedwelmd' from Lulu Wang.

After the Bookmarket in Tilburg we went to the fair in Den Bosch; the 'Bossche Kermis'. This fair takes place once a year, in the summer. And it's very big!!

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF6336.jpg

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF6346.jpg

At the end of the fair, which took place for about a week, they set the city hall on fire!! It's looks very real doesn't it ;)

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c162/marjoleinaneth/DSCF6370.jpg

But it was just fireworks. It looked great though :)

I've arrived home safely after my amazing adventures with Marjolein.  I've been all over - Holland; Switzerland, Italy, Lichtenstein.  What a great time I've had.

Thank you very much Marjolein for looking after me so well.

I'm glad to be out of the box and back in familiar surroundings  (as you can see from the photo) - and my own bed at last.

I wonder where I'll be travelling next.

My guardian has been to Vaduz, but it was long before she got me.  So it was nice that I could see it for myself.

Dear Pingu,

I'm very jealous of you on your holiday in Switzerland.

Switzerland is my favourite place that I have visited and it is not fair that you are there and I am not!!!

I'm excited - I've just found out I'm going to Italy tomorrow - well actually I'm setting off for Italy tomorrow, I won't arrive until Saturday.

My guardian is taking me on her school skiing trip.  And she is going to set me free.  I hope somebody nice finds me!
