Hello there,

yesterday mum and me showed our guests _Lilly_ and Bussi our hometown.
We walked along the river Main and spent time and even two playgrounds.  :D
That was lots of fun.  :cyclops:

When we got up this morning we found out that it had snowed all night. What better to do that take advantage of it?  :cyclops:
And here we got outside.  _Lilly_ , Bussi and me played in the snow and even build a snowman. His name is Berthold.  ;)

In the afternoon I said goodbye to my mum and my friends because I start my journey today.  :D
I am going to Barcelona/ Spain. What a great place for my very first journey.  :cyclops:

Today is “Dijous Gras”, the first day of Carnival festivities, and here in Catalonia is so typical to eat “butifarra d’ou” (egg sausage) and “coca de llardons” (crackling pancake). Here we are eating this!!!

Hi mom!
Today is the last day of Carnival festivities and here in Catalonia this day is called “enterrament de la sardina” (burial of the sardine). About why is called this way, there are a hypothesis, among others. First of all, to bury something is a way to forget it, to take leave of it… And the hypothesis is that the back-bone of the pigs was known as “sardine” and it was buried at the end of Carnival to start the Lent.
To celebrate it, we have eaten a sardine made of bread with chocolate. It was delicious!!!!

Hi mom!!
Today we went out for a walk and we went to the shopping center “La Maquinista”. “La Maquinista” is situated where the metallurgic fabric “La Maquinista Terrestre i Marítima” was in the past. Here you can see us taking a rest in front of the little park of “La Maquinista”.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Zero/DSC04818_zpsf078328c.jpg
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Zero/DSC04819_zpsc6ae6fb1.jpg

This is the large pond, situated in the middle of the park, named Narcís Monturiol (a Catalonian engineer, who invented the first crew submarine). It was built in order to take advantage of the two nearby water sources and it’s used to irrigate the park. Inside the pond you can see the large antique wheel that reminds us of the industrial past of the land. And the building near the pond is “Museo de La Maquinista y Macosa”, a museum which contains historical documents, plans, photographs, models and historical objects from the old factory.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Zero/DSC04822_zpsb75ee7b9.jpg

The shopping center!!!!
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04827_zpsbeeb661d.jpg

After visit some shops, we take a rest in a lounge terrace.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Zero/DSC04830_zpsfe5b4a55.jpg

Can you see the big clock on the floor??? There was a projector which projected the small hands of the clock to show the hour, but it’s out of order :(
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04838_zps4e25ca2d.jpg

In the first floor there are the restaurants, near another lounge terrace.

It seems like a jungle!!!
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Zero/DSC04842_zps868a8f3f.jpg

We spent the weekend at hostdad home, so we’re in the train to Sants, the central train station.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Zero/DSC04874_zps184fd62f.jpg

In Sants we took another train to Gavà. The views aren’t so nice, just buildings, roads or industrial parks…

http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04888_zps16528fa6.jpg

We did a bit of sightseeing while we went to hostdad home. This is the church.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04899_zps07be2313.jpg

And in this little square there’s a grower with some asparagus.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Zero/DSC04933_zps0f6100cc.jpg

We spent the afternoon at home and then we went to have supper at hamburger, in the shopping center.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04906_zps7d63a776.jpg

Suny found a little palm tree and she wanted to climb it, just for training, because she wants a bigger one! We waited for her :)
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Suny/DSC04911_zps2e5f2578.jpg

Hi mom!
Today we went out for a walk and we found some interesting places during our walk.
This is “Plaça Jardins d’Elx”, where a Lady of Elche’s bust is situated.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04939_zps848e55ce.jpg

And in the same square there’s “Parroquia de Crist Rei” a parish started built in 1924.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04942_zpsbabc7286.jpg

We continued walking and we found another church, but this is a quite strange church, “Iglèsia de Sant Joan Bosco”, inaugurated in 1974. When hostmom was a child, she thought it was a very big slide and she always wanted to slide for it. Poor hostmom!!! :D
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04951_zpsb617d1f1.jpg

In “Carrer Aragó” (Aragon Street), we found a sculpture dedicated to article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Zero/DSC04953_zps3c6fec67.jpg

Later, we saw “La Farinera del Clot”, a cultural center situated in an old flour fabric in 1852.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04967_zpsf8868723.jpg

And finally, we arrived to “Les Glòries” where we saw “Torre Agbar”, a tower which is the see of the water company of Barcelona (AGBAR = AGuas de BARcelona). At night it’s illuminated by thousands of colored lights.
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r545/zerosdiary/Betty%20Bear/DSC04973_zpsd0dc7d02.jpg

It has been an interesting walk!

Hi Mum!

I've just arrived in Australia all the way from Germany!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BBarrival_zpsbff065fe.jpg

I flew over the ocean, it was so much fun! My trip was very fast and I was here in no time. On the day I arrived there was a big rain storm, and my envelope was a little wet on the edges, but I was all nice and dry inside. Host Sister says in Australia they're always happy when it rains, because droughts can be a big problem. So the more rain in winter, the less chance of a drought the next summer.

Host Sister says I am the first TV she's hosted, and she has lots of fun plans for me. Isn't that exciting? There are some toys who live with her full-time, and they're all really nice and fun to hang out with:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BBpals_zps8777184f.jpg

On the first day Host Sister had to go to work. Here's a photo of me, watching her do her work.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BBwork_zpsaa473c9b.jpg

At lunch time we went for a walk by the river.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BByarra1_zps4035197a.jpg

The Yarra River is the big river that flows through the centre of Melbourne. Host Sister says they joke about it being an 'upside down' river. The water is brown, so it looks like the mud from the bottom! Maybe if I dive to the bottom, it'll be blue underneath??

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BByarra3_zps41eb0b78.jpg

On the far side of the river is Southgate. This is an area with lots of cafes and bars. Just behind it is the Arts Centre and lots of big parks. We'll go and check that out one day soon!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BByarra4_zps94b95fa4.jpg

Here I am in front of the tallest building in Melbourne. It's called the Eureka Tower. Host Sister says it was named after the Eureka Stockade rebellion, which happened during the Gold Rush era in the 1850s. The gold miners rebelled against paying too much tax.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BByarra2_zpsd018dcd9.jpg

It's very tall!!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BByarra5_zps2929ea75.jpg

Oh well, time to go back to work now. Winter in Australia is very nice, I like it Mum!

Hi Mum!

Today we  baked muffins with ingredients that Host Sister had at home. First we found some frozen bananas in the freezer. Brrr, it's cold in here! We chose two nice big bananas for the muffins.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/muff1a_zps550bf3d5.jpg

Oooh, what's in here? It's all white and crumbly. It's sugar!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/muff21_zps4806e504.jpg

We put the flour, sugar and cocoa powder in the bowl.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/muff3a_zpse4f6e24a.jpg

Next we put in the egg, melted butter and mashed up banana. Oooh, it's all gloopy! Anton and I helped to mix it all together.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/muff4_zpsf15f8fe2.jpg

We mixed it all together and then put the muffin mix in the tray. We spilled a little bit, oops!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/muff5_zpsef897690.jpg

Then  the muffins went in the oven for 25 minutes. When they came out, they had risen and they were all nice and brown. They smelled so good!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/muff6_zpse445561c.jpg

We tried one of the muffins with a cup of tea. Yummy!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/muff7_zps4dfd7c90.jpg

Love,
Betty Bear.

Hi Mum!

Host Sister wanted to take me on a walk to the gardens today, but it was cold and raining all day. What a shame!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BBwindow_zps46b21efe.jpg

So instead we did some tidying around the house, and then we sat down with a nice pot of tea and some biscuits.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/BBbikks_zps6639a3fc.jpg

These are strange biscuits! They look like lace! They come from China and they are normally eaten at Chinese New Year, but they're too yummy to wait until then! They're very crunchy and taste like honey.

Hope you are well.
Love, Betty. xx

Hi Mum!

Today we went to Federation Square in the City. It's the largest and newest public space in the city of Melbourne, finished in 2002. When it first opened, a lot of people thought it was ugly, but there wasn't much new-style architecture in Melbourne then, so people weren't used to it. Most people seem to like it now. A few people still don't like it, but there's not much they can do now! :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/fs1B_zpseddef2b1.jpg

The main building is the National Gallery of Victoria's modern and Australian art collection. There is also the headquarters for SBS TV Station, and on the roof is an experimental beehive, the Rooftop Honey project. On the other side is the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. (It's a film museum and cinema.)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/fs7B_zps8c9b8701.jpg

The main square has a huge TV screen which often shows big sporting matches, cultural events or short films from the film museum's collection. The paving on the ground is a huge artwork. The colours and curved surface look like the dunes in the desert.

The largest building is covered in sandstone. It's sandy colour also ties in to the desert theme. Every piece of sandstone and glass is a triangle shape, and they all fit in together in a crazy pattern. Host Sister says there's a story that not a single angle in the whole pattern is a square angle. But she's not sure if this is really true! The smaller building on the front corner is covered in zinc metal, which reflects the sky whatever the weather is.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/fs2_zps814381b5.jpg

At the back is the Atrium. This is the entrance to the Art Gallery. The glass roof is 5 storeys high! The glass wall has two layers, and sometimes there are art displays in the middle. Like an art sandwich! ;)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/fs3B_zpsa43f8568.jpg

The artwork on display at the moment is called '1000 Tears'. Members of the public emailed the artist to tell her their biggest regret, and she wrote them on tears made of paper.
And around the other side was a pretty garden bed full of daffodils.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/fs4_zps7a44c0ba.jpg

Across the river is the concert hall, the classical art gallery and the botanical gardens. But we'll go there some other time! It's time to go now.

Hi Mum!

How are you?
Today we did something a little bit different. We voted! Well, Host Sister and Host Brother did. There is an election soon. Time to choose a new Prime Minister, or perhaps keep the old one! ;)
In Australia, voting at elections is compulsory. Everyone aged 18 years and over must vote on election day, or they have to pay a fine. It used to be that everyone had to show up on election day to a polling place to fill out their ballot. How annoying! :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/vote1B_zpsa7967173.jpg

In the last few years it has been allowed to vote by postal vote. The voters go online to request a postal ballot paper, then the papers are sent out in the mail. They're filled out at home and sent back. As long as they're filled out before election day, everything is fine.

Host Sister says voting at home is more convenient, but not as fun! Normally the polling places are at a school. The people running them usually set up a barbeque to raise money for the school. After voting, you can buy a sausage in bread, and sometimes they have a cake stall as well. Host Sister and Host Brother didn't want to miss out on the fun of the barbeque! So we made sausages in bread and sweets at home. Here are the chocolate crackles and honey joys.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/vote2_zpsc5eae87f.jpg

Who are we going to vote for??

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/vote3_zpsf7be4be5.jpg

Wow, this paper is so long! So many to choose from!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/vote4_zpsaf6128ba.jpg

Phew! Now the papers are all filled in and put into the envelopes. We'll take them to the post box tomorrow morning.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/vote5_zpsc9c87365.jpg

Now it's time for another chocolate crackle!

Hi Mum!

Yesterday a new friend arrived in Australia.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/colarr1_zpseb307359.jpg

Who can it be?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/colarr2_zpsdb8c9190.jpg

It's a cute bear called Columbus! He's travelled a long way to be here.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/colarr3_zps7dbc5fdf.jpg

Hello Columbus! You're a bear, just like me! I'm glad to meet you!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/colarr4_zps3ca76b96.jpg

To celebrate the arrival of Columbus, we did some baking. We made the Babka from Host Sister's cooking magazine.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab1b_zps6dc5c8a7.jpg

I think the Babka and things like it are found in many cultures. It is filled with dried fruit and a rum syrup is poured over the top. Here I am mixing the flour and sugar together.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab2b_zps4b24995e.jpg

Now the dough is all mixed together and kneaded. Next we need to wait a while so the dough can rise.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab4b_zpsc1bc70ff.jpg

Next Host Sister rolled the dough out into a biiiig rectangle. It's so big, maybe we can play football on it!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab5b_zps572dd403.jpg

Then we sprinkled the filling over the dough. There are dried apricots, which had been soaked in schnapps for a few hours to make them plump, and some chocolate. Unfortunately in this picture, to me it looks like tomatoes and bits of meat, perhaps chopped roast beef! Am I making a pizza??!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab6b_zps8c8d9175.jpg

Host Sister then rolled the whole thing up into a big log. Smile, everyone!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab7_zps0a8a1ade.jpg

We cut the log up into slices and arranged them in a greased baking tin.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab8b_zps1d32a985.jpg

After baking, it doesn't really look like the photo in the magazine, but I'm still going to taste it!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab9b_zps2404f13b.jpg

While the Babka was cooking, Host Sister made a syrup from cherry brandy and sugar. We poured it over the top of the babka buns.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/bab10b_zps4afe2dfb.jpg

It was delicious.
I'm excited because I will be travelling again soon!
Bye Mum!

Hi Mum!

Today I went to work with Host Sister. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very nice, but we went to see some sights in the City at lunch time anyway. We went to see the "Top End" of the city.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/top1b_zps67bafd8f.jpg

Right at the top end of Collins Street is the Old Treasury Building. It was built in 1862 during the Gold Rush times. Miners were digging up so much gold, and the Government earning so much tax from them, that they needed somewhere special to keep all the gold. Of course, they didn't call it the "Old Treasury" then, just the "Treasury"! ;) After the treasury was moved to a new building, it became a museum. Part of it is also the Marriage Registry. Every day there are always lots of couples and family having their photos taken on the steps.

Host Sister says this is where she got married!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/top4b_zpsbb6a8cf1.jpg

Here we're looking down Collins Street from the Top End. This is also called the "Paris End" of Collins Street, because of the leafy trees and all the international designer stores here (Armani, Gucci, etc.).

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/top2b_zps9ea139cd.jpg

The centre of Melbourne was built on a grid one mile long and half a mile wide. It slopes from the Government buildings at the top of the hill down to Docklands on the bay. The top end of the city is considered to be the most beautiful. All the old buildings from Gold Rush times are here, most of the theatres and many parks.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/top3b_zpscd93e7a7.jpg

Watch out for the trams!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/top6b_zpsbfc2b074.jpg

Next door is the Treasury Gardens. It's a small park, but it's one of the most beautiful in Melbourne. Next to it there are more government buildings. The leader of Victoria (the Premier) has his offices in the closest one.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/apartmentcat/ToyVoyagers/top7b_zps6877298e.jpg

It's about to rain, time to go back to work!

Bye for now!

We came to Engakuji in Kamakura.
Engakuji is one of the leading Zen temples in Eastern Japan and the No. 2 of Kamakura's five great Zen temples.
Engakuji was founded by the ruling regent Hojo Tokimune in 1282.
Temple is built into the slopes of Kita-Kamakura's forested hills. The first main structure encountered upon entering the temple grounds is the Sanmon main gate, which dates from 1783.
There was rebuilt relatively recently in 1964 after the former building was lost in an earthquake.

The temple entrance, which is surrounded by many maple trees, is a particularly popular photo object.
Although it is getting warm little bit here in Kamakura, there is still some snow left on places.
We found white plum flowers and pink plum flowers. I think spring is approaching.

This temple has some national treasure, but can only be seen from a distance during most of the year.
Another national treasure found at Engakuji is the temple's large bell (called Ogane).

See you soon.

March 3rd is celebrated as the Dolls Festival(or the Girl's Festival) in Japan.
It's called "Hina- Matsuri"or "Momo no Sekku(Peach festival)".
It's the day to pray for healthy growth and happiness for young girls.
Most families with girls display dolls called "Hina-ningyo".
People began displaying dolls in the Edo period(about 18 century).
The dolls depict the imperial court of old.
They are dressed in beautiful ancient court costumes(the Heian period 794-1185).
People display graceful dolls in ancient court costumes on a tier of 5 or 7 shelves covered with scarlet cloth.
These dolls represent the Emperor and Empress, the court ladies, the ministers and the court musicians.
I think dolls of ancient costumes is very interesting, isn't it ?

My host just came back from work, we explored the cherry blossoms around the house.
Many Japanese people loves cherry blossom so much.
It is said that it is because cherry blossom symbolizes the ephemeral nature of life due to the way it blooms spectacularly but only for a short while. or feeling spring comes and meaning everything start.
Well, we will start a week of searching the "SAKURA"(cherry blossoms) for us.
I found small flowers. It is very cute!
Then We were looking at this scenery that cherry blossoms were falling.
Of all the windy yesterday, the cherry blossoms have fallen off.
However, I heard The cherry blossoms are at their best few days.
I think I want to more enjoy cherry blossoms.

We went to visit to hear "Tadodai-buncyosya(Tadodai branch office) " is to be opened only one week during the cherry blossoms season. But it will be closed in one hour, today. It was built in 1913.
There were many people taking pictures and watching the cherry blossoms.
You can see Japanese-style room and conference room in Tadodai-buncyosya.
Stone of Antarctica was also on display. Of course, I tried to touch to stone.
We can see the Tokyo Bay below our eyes, cherry blossoms bloomed in a nice garden.
Pond was being represented by white stones on part of the garden.
This is a typical representation of a Japanese garden.
The weather was not good, but we were able to enjoy.

I  went to a "Hashirimizu fountainhead".
The ground was covered in pink petals, and the remaining blossoms and leaves covered the sky giving the place a pink glow.
I am afraid the flowers will not last till next week.
Although the cherry blossoms were on a decline by the time of our visit, we were nevertheless able to catch some pleasant views. However, with the afternoon showers in the area, more petals will fall and that would bring the cherry blossoms season closer to its end.
P.S Mom, My red tag is come off, But Don't worry. My host will repair it as soon.

Kind of an old small shrine, any incorporeal supernatural being, Don't you think so?

There's a legend that a large snake lived on this dark cave.

He heard that a large snake lived in this cave, and afflicts villagers and fishermen, the people of marine transportation.
Monk was killed the large snake. Then large snake was enshrined in this dark cave .

There is a large white orb in my photo.
I heard orb appears in the sacred places such as shrines and temples. Is it just a dust on the lens of camera???
What do you think?

Through promenade in forest, I went to shrine buildings.
It was one of the visiting typical place for foreign tourists here.
Visitors to the shrine can take part in typical Shinto activities, writing out one's wish on an ema.
When we visited the Meiji shrine, we witnessed a Shinto wedding procession which  was led by two priests and two shrine maidens, followed by the couple under a red umbrella and the family and friends.
It was delightful seeing the colorful ceremony in wonderful surroundings.

When you enter the premises of Meiji shrine, you notice barrels of sake wrapped in straw stacked up near the entrance.
This is fascinating design.
To know more about these barrels, read the following text which was written on information board put up near these barrels.
And You can see the otorii, it is the gate of shrines.

HI~MUM

Today we went to the Wofo Temple.

I saw the temple introduction,Wofo Temple  is a Buddhist temple located near the Beijing Botanical Garden 20 kilometres (12 mi) from the center of Beijing. The temple is best known as the location of the 'Recumbent Buddha', a large sculpture of the Buddha lying down created in 1321.The current incarnation dates from 1734. The temple's first recumbent Buddha was carved in sandstone. In 1321, during the Yuan dynasty the sandstone carving was replaced by a 5.2 meter long statue made of bronze and weighing 2.5 tons.Following a north-south axis, the temple contains an entrance gate followed by three halls. On either side of the axis are buildings used by the monks for lodging as well as to accommodate guests. The first hall is called the Tianwang hall, the second the Sanshi Buddha hall, followed by the Recumbent Buddha hall.

Buddha is not allowed to take photographs so we took some pictures in the yard. The temple has distinguishing feature very much.I made a wish, I hope I can travel to more countries and Have more red things.Papa said,The thing always happens that you really believe in,and the belief in a thing makes it happen. :D :D :D

The weather is nice today. We had a good time :D

HI~Mum

We also went to the Great Wall this holiday. The Great Wall is near the town.
The Great Wall in a high mountain,We take the cable car up the mountain,It's quite a scramble to get to the top of the hill!

To use a chinese saying"He who has neven been to the Great Wall is not a true man."Or translated into ”One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero.”So we climbed up!

PAPA said The Great Wall of China, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was enlisted in the World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987.
The Great Wall of China, also known in China as the Great Wall of 10,000, is an ancient Chinese fortification built from the end of the 14th century until the beginning of the 17th century, during the Ming Dynasty, in order to protect China from raids by the Mongols and Turkic tribes.Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 6,700 kilometers (4,163 miles ) from east to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections of the great wall are now in ruins or even entirely disappeared. However, it is still one of the most appealing attractions all around the world owing to its architectural grandeur and historical significance.

The scenery on the mountain is very beautiful. :DWe climbed the Great Wall is just a small small small small part of the Great Wall :p

This is really amazing B)We down the Great Wall up to the ancient town for a long walk.

  Hey!I'm a really hero now :D :D

We are still in the Henan travel,The photo is our in guoliang village.
The Village under the mountain is located in a thousand yards rise steeply cliff dangerous terrain, the vast, beautiful scenery, known to the world as Qijue the waterscape and steep valleys "wall highway", also known as the "Pearl of taihang".

The Guabi Road  In China, there is a special road located in Taihang Mountain. This kind of road is called Guabi road, which means road hanging on the cliff in Chinese. Unlike spiral mountain roads or tunnels, Guabi road is constructed along a cliff rather than on a slope or deeply inside the mountain. It usually lies horizontally along a vertical cliff face with hard sandstone on one side of the road and deep valley on the other side.

Mum,I was afraid, I dare not to look under the mountain :stare:But we are safe B).This is really amazing :D

Today we went to Taihang Mountains Grand Canyon.

Located in the east of Mount Taihang, the Taihang Grand Canyon is within the boundary of the Shibanyan County, Linzhou City of Henan Province. In China, the mountains in the south are elegant, while those of the north are imposing. Mount Taihang is regarded as one of the most magnificent mountains in the north.

The Photo  shows the scenery of Taihang Grand Canyon in Linzhou city, central China's Henan Province. With various shapes of high cliffs, peaks and hills, the 50-kilometer-long canyon presents a unique scenery of mystery.

I also an excellent lookout for a bird's eye view of the Taihang Mountain. The scenery is beautiful beyond description. :D
We spent a happy  trip for a week then We drove back to Beijing.

Today we went to the Giant Panda Museum in Beijing Zoo.

I'm so excited!

We are one of the scarcest animals. People in the world like it very much. There used to be many pandas in China long ago. As the balance of nature was destroyed and the weather was getting warmer and warmer, pandas became less. But at present, the number of pandas is increasing year by year. There are now so many pandas that some are being sent to other countries so that people there can enjoy them.

They have small tail and fat body, black and white. They’re very clumsy, but they can climb trees. They like to eat bamboo very much.Look! The baby panda is under the mother panda, they are sleeping. They look very lovely.

This is the best day, the best timeand really exciting :D

Hi everyone,

it's been quite a while since I've been around.
So I thought it's time for a new update.

Mom took me to the city of Frankfurt.
There was quite a lot going on.
A an open shopping  mall,  a street food market and a second hand clothing market (which was held in a community garden).
I also got to see a lot. Skyscrapers,  the former stock market, the Mainstation (with quite a few trains).
And not to forget all the nice snacks we had.  :cyclops:

Greetings

Betty

PS Look which little fellow we met on the way.

Mom took me on a walk along a wild creek.
From there wen went to see the cute little village of Oberstdorf. Which is very famous for it's winter sport. And usually they have all kinds of international competition going on. In that one photo you can see that ski jump area behind me.

Of course I also got to go to see that very famous sight of Germany.  B)

The Neuschwanstein Castle.

You have to walk up a very steep hill to get there. Once up there we walked around the castle as much as possible and enjoyed the views all around.
