Hi everyone! Happy Easter!

I'm still at home with Frances at the moment, but I thought it'd be nice to let you know what kinda things I get up to here, and what I like to do, before I leave. My plan at the moment is to set off on my first journey on Tuesday, when the post offices open again!

This morning, Frances had to get up at 5 so she could go to church with her mum. Wool monsters don't wake up at 5, so I stayed home and waited for her to get back. When she got back, we had some time before leaving to go to church with her dad, so I helped her start writing her letter to Lucy. I really hope she finishes soon, because I will be travelling with this letter!

We had to go to church 2 hours early, because Frances' dad had arranged for a huge group of people to do the music, and they needed to rehearse. Frances let me sit on her music stand while they practiced, but during the service she got me to sit on the side so I couldn't pull funny faces at her! I made friends with the other saxophonist, John, who thought I was pretty cool and said he hoped I enjoyed hearing them all play.

After the service, I went back to Frances' house and had lunch with her, her parents and her boyfriend Chris. We then found out the Easter bunny had arrived, so we had an Easter egg hunt in the living room. I realised I couldn't hunt very well, because all the eggs were hidden in high up places that I couldn't reach, so I made friends with some of the other toys whilst Frances and Chris hunted. When they finished, Frances let me share some of the chocolate, but not too much because I don't want to get to be too heavy to send in the post!

In the afternoon, Frances and Chris had to go to the supermarket to buy some greek yoghurt for Frances' dad, and I asked them if I could come along. I didn't want to be stuck in a dark pocket, so Frances agreed that I could travel by hat, as long as I wore my seatbelt. I have decided that travelling by hat is quite probably the best way for a TV to get a good view of the world. I was so high up, and very comfortable!

I'm very tired after my long day, so I am going to go to bed soon. Tomorrow is a big day, because it's my last day at home before I go to visit Lucy! I'm rather excited!

Best Wishes,

Rosalind :) xx

Hello there!

Today's been a very exciting day for me - I've set off on my first big adventure! I'm on my way to see ProfessorRiverSong and I'm very excited!

When I woke up this morning I saw it was sunny, which I was quite pleased about. Yesterday, I had to stay in Frances' pocket as it was raining a lot, but today I got to travel on her hat all the way into town. It was a lovely half hour walk, and I got to see a lot of Portsmouth from up there!

She had arranged to meet Chris by the fountain in the city centre, because as well as sending me off they both had to write Postcrossing postcards. Chris was a bit late, but I didn't mind because it was sunny and I had fun playing by the fountain.

I then had to help Frances and Chris choose the postcards they were going to write. They got a bit lost in one shop, because it was so big and even they couldn't see over all of the racks of clothes to work out where to pay, and when they left they went out a different door than they came in and set off in the wrong direction!

Once they had the postcards, they took me to a bookshop which has a cafe in it. I helped them write their postcards, and drink their hot chocolate and coffee! I also went with Frances to look at the books while Chris finished his postcards (she only had 3 to write while he had 5!)

After that, the three of us went to the post office. It was very busy, because it has been closed for a few days, so while they were waiting Frances helped me get into my envelope. She used some sellotape to seal me in, so I couldn't escape or fall out! Then she had to weigh me (23 grams, including the envelope and the letter!) and then a strange lady took me away from her and put me in a big bag.

I hope the journey to Lucy's house doesn't take too long! I can't wait to meet her!

Rosalind :) xx

Hello everyone!

I arrived today in Margate, safely having travelled from Portsmouth. Frances posted me yesterday and I arrived with Lucy in this morning's post. It was all every excited but scary at the same time...I'm glad I'm out of the envelope now, it was quite small and scary.

Anyway, we had an exciting day today...although to start with Lucy was revising which isn't so exciting but I did get a chance to talk to Lucy TV, Jessie, who seemed very nice and is excited about going to visit Frances. She said she should be in the post tomorrow and be in Portsmouth by Friday. Once Lucy had finished her revision, we walked into the Westgate town centre and visited a hardware store and some charity shops. Lucy bought some VHS's and then a drink. Then her and her sister, Izzy (NeverShoutNever) walked myself, Jessie and Peter Rabbit down onto the seafront.

However, the most exciting part of my first day with Lucy was going and visiting the 4th Broadstairs Explorer Unit and watching them doing pioneering (I had a go but it was hard for me because I'm a little small). Anyhow it's a step on the way to one of my Life Missions so it was all very exciting! I will post some pictures of me there tomorrow when Lucy sorts out her sister's phone!

Bye for now!

Hey people!

Today was an exciting day, I went out with Lucy and her family to the Puffins Cafe on Margate's Harbour Arm. When we left it was a lovely sunny day and the sea was amazingly blue. Unfortunately the weather turned on us a little when we were coming back home and we got caught in a rain shower...Lucy shelter me in the pocket of her hoody. I was okay with this because the pocket was a nice size so I didn't feel confined. All in all it was a nice outing.

When we arrived home Lucy cracked on with yet more revision...but also she did treat herself to a film. I very much enjoyed watching James and the Giant Peach with her; a very good film I have decided (although lacking in woollen monsters I feel-minor issue, minor)

Tomorrow I am visiting Lucy's school, The Ursuline College, as she has an English revision session from 10 till 2. Hoping it won't be too dull...for both our sakes.

Anyway here are the picture of me at 4th Broadstairs Explorers as promised and some for me at Margate too!

Bye, bye!

Hello!

Lucy and I did not end up going to The Ursuline College. Her teacher, Miss Johnson, was ill so could not make it in to school. Instead she did a little revision at home but then we had a movie day! Wooohoooo! So the films we watched were:
-The Borrowers
-Saving Private Ryan
-Singin' in the Rain
-There's Something about Mary
-Doctor Who Series 6 A Good Man Goes to War, The God Complex and The Wedding of River Song (not a film....but fantastic!)

It was a good day! I hope we do another movie day soon...we did also get a bit of fresh air, I travelled in Lucy's pocket but just peaking out of the top. We went along to the Library in Westgate so her sister could get out some books, and then on the way back to her house we stopped at this really nice deli called Angelos and brought some nice treats for lunch; chocolate brownies, doughnuts and a beef curry slice. All very tasty I must say.

Yet another interesting day here in Thanet, looking forward to tomorrow. Lucy's cousin, Luke, and his girlfriend, Sarah, are coming round for lunch and then to take Lucy's little sister, Penny out for a late birthday/Christmas trip to the cinema. Also Lucy's friend is coming round for some revision; so I'm really looking forward to meeting her.

Still missing home and Frances but having a great time in Margate with Lucy!

Hello!

Sorry I haven't updated recently I got a bit caught up helping Lucy with her revision and she fell asleep late night and I was too small to reach the computer which is on a very large table!

So today and yesterday I visited Lucy's school. The building, called Hatton House, is very nice...almost looks like Hogwarts! On Monday we had History in the morning which I found very interesting we were learning about Winston Churchill. Also we had psychology and politics...history was my favourite though, it was a very tiring day and I'm glad I don't have to get up every morning that early, but I did enjoy it very much!

Today, I had an English lesson in the morning where we were doing some revision in "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" it is a poem by Coleridge and today I found out a lot about the characters in it today. Also we had a spectacular storm. In the space of 30 minutes there was sun, then rain, then hail, then thunder and lightning, and then sun again! Lucky we didn't get caught in the rain so I didn't have to hide in Lucy's pocket but could ride in her top pocket and was able to see the way home.

Bye for now!

Hi, I'M BACK!

A-levels are over and we are going to have a fun packed week and will see Frances next week! Sooo excited! And we are going to a music festival at the end of the week which will be amazing! Also we are heading into Canterbury and see even more of the Garden of England. Today Nook and I have been having a go on ABBA You Can Dance and then going down to the sea front and watching Lucy and her sister Izzy play a bit of tennis (they are not the best!)

Tomorrow we are off to the cinema to see Dark Shadows, I am very excited it will be my first Tim Burton film but Lucy says I should like it...I hope so and I am really looking forward to it!!!

More tomorrow...and the next day and the next!

Hello!

I arrived back in Portsmouth a few days ago, after my wonderful visit to ProfessorRiverSong.

I spent a few days resting, and recovering from my trip, but then today the postwoman had a wonderful suprise for me and Frances. NoMi had come to stay! Now I am looking forward to hanging around with him, and showing him Portsmouth. I am so pleased to have a new friend - I am sure we will have a lot of fun together :)

Bye for now!

Hello!

The weather was really nice today, so I took NoMi for a walk by the seafront.

We started off in a lovely garden, where we could admire the beautiful flowers, play by the ponds, and relax on a bench.

We then went to the seafront where it was really windy, but clear enough to see very far! We also had a look at Southsea Castle, but it was too late in the day to go in.

Yipee! I am very happy today, because now there are even more Toyvoyagers visiting me today!

When Frances got home from college, she showed me and NoMi that a parcel had arrived. We opened it very carefully, and looked inside to see Mimi and George!

Once we'd said hello to them, we jumped into Frances' bag and went for a walk into town to get a few things from the shops. We then baked some yummy M&M muffins together.

In the evening, we ate fish and chips whilst watching "Across the Universe". We sang along with all the songs, which are by the Beatles.

I am so glad I have many new friends to show around Portsmouth! I can't wait to see what other adventures we will have!

Hello!

Today, I took my friends NoMi, Mimi and George to London! We went to Hyde Park, where there was a DeviantMEET so we got to see loads of artists, eat loads of cake and help Frances draw some pictures. It was very exciting!

When we got home, there was a package waiting for us. Porridge has come to stay! I am very excited to take her to London tomorrow!

Happy Canada Day!

Today, I went back to London to celebrate Canada Day. We couldn't get to Canada fast enough, so we celebrated in Trafalgar Square instead. It was very exciting!

There was lots of live music, hockey, Canadian food and rain. The rain bit wasn't so good, but we had Frances' rucksack to hide in! Going to London twice in a row was very exciting, but also very tiring!

Hello!

Only a few more days until we go on holiday to Scotland! And, just in time, Kasimir Kashmir has joined us! Now, there will be 6 of us TVs - I hope we have booked enough seats on the train!

And talking of trains, we went to the station today to buy the tickets we don't already have. As it was a nice day, we also played in the park on the way home. It was a lot of fun!

I can't wait to go on holiday with my friends!

Hello!

Frances needed to make a cake today, so I got all of my friends to help out! We made a chocolate cake, with chocolate buttercream icing. It was very fun to make together, and very tasty to nibble on as we were going along :)

Anyway, only a few days until Scotland!

Hello!

I'm in Scotland, with my friends! We've been travelling all day, so we're worn out now, but it was fun! I liked being able to sit with my friends and talk to them on the way up. We even had an hour or so to kill at King's Cross, so we wandered around a few different shops and pretended to be on our way to Hogwarts!

The longest train we had to go on was from London to Edinburgh, but luckily we had a window seat to ourselves, so we could watch all of the scenery going past as we moved further up the country!

I wonder what adventures we'll have while we're here?

Hello!

Today the weather was really nice, so we went for a walk around Strathclyde Loch. It was good to get some fresh air and exercise, and we saw lots of different water birds like swans and geese. We also went to see the ruins of some Roman baths!

Frances was travelling to a flute coruse today, so we all went with her so we could enjoy the journey. From the car we could see some wonderful scenery, and we stopped off for a walk in a beautiful forrest with a big waterfall and some little caves! It was a lovely day, so we enjoyed going for a walk!

Hello!

I am back from my holiday! I had a very good time, but I am tired now and I must recover before my next journey!

When we got home, we found that Cheney had come to stay with us! I'm sad I can't stay around for longer, but I'm very excited to travel some more!

Hello!

I'm on my way to Germany! How exciting is that? I can't wait to visit a different country for the first time! I wonder what adventures I will have?

I'm a bit sad to be leaving all of my friends behind, but I know I will make new friends on my voyages and I might even see my old friends again some day. It is strange knowing they will all be at home with MySongIsLaughter while I am off travelling the world!

I was a bit worried that I would be lonely on my journey, but when I was sitting in the basket at the Post Office I could hear a voice from the package next to me. It was Virgo! We are both travelling to Germany, so hopefully we will be able to talk to each other for the journey.

I can't wait for my next adventure!

Hallo Mum,

do you see??? I learned to say hello in German. It's quite the same as we say so it was very easy for me! But it's nice to welcome the others in their language. Today we had a beautiful day. We had sunny weather and so we visited a schoolyard togheter with Mandrara, her man and the two sons of Mandrara. They are three and five years old and yesterday each one got a RC. So today they wanted to play with them.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0511.JPG
With Thorin and me you can see Karlos another guest of Imodra and Feru. Thorin will always guid us when we leave their home. and i like him he is so nice.

And then I met Finn McMissile and the Tow Mater of the Film Cars 2. It was very funny.

I was so courageous that i drove around with the Tow Mater, can you imagine?
It was so nice. and at the End we made a photo with the RC helicopter of Mandraras man. He offered me to fly but I wasn't interessed in.

My german pronunciation gets much better! Today a new TV arrived and it was funny to noticed that he had the same reaction at the first time like me. Imodra act with discretion and so he lost his fear very fast. here you can see me and Karlos when i was introduced to him!

Macbeth and Much ado about nothing!!! Ok it's the german version but hey it's shakespear and she told me that she also read the english version of this play.
Mandrara loves shakespeare too. and "Much ado about nothing" is her favorite play. She told me that she played the Beatrice at the school theater and since this she loves it!. She also read Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream and King Lear!

Hi Mum,

it's warm outside and Thorin lead us once again on a very funny journey. We went to the Gruga Park with Mandrara and her family and there first of all we visited a huge play ground. But see for yourself!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0558.JPG
At the start we swing a little bit but it was very exhausting for us all. so Thorin delivered his power as we other sit in a bucket and he lift us up!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0555.JPG
To have fun aswell he jumped into the bucket and we all slide down.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0552.JPG
After that I saw a climbing wall and i wanted to defeat it. But I'm to small and so thorin took me on his back and climbed the wall for me!!! It was so nice. Karlos and Zeitgeist are a little bit taler than me but that was tall enough for the wall!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0556.JPG
And when we climbed the wall we saw a little house on the play ground with a beautiful view all over and so we decided to change our place.
Thorin helped me another time.

http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0562.JPG

Then Mandrara dedided to have a break and to enjoy a drive with the "bimmelbahn" we call it small train with warning bell! The german word sounds nicer.
Because the train conductor told us to sit down we took photo at the seat!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0570.JPG
And then Thorin lift me up very fast so that i could take a look outside before we startet!

It was a funny day and we had a lots of fun

Today a new TV arrived. It was very funny. Suommi-Girl comes from Finnland and Imodra gave her a warm welcome and then Karlos and I went to her to say hello. I tried to welcome her in german and Feru told me that my pronunciation is very well!

And while Suomi-Girl was showing us postcards from finnland Imodra suggested to have a picknick and we all agreed

Look at me I lead a gospel choir! Mandrara invited us to go with her to a practise lesson. She is a soprano singerin and a guitar playerin. and it was so genial!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0590.JPG
Except Thorin we all travelled well in the guitar case. Thorin went into Mandraras backpack because he is so big.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/Dirigenten.jpg
The last song of the evening was "Oh happy day" and on the picture you can see us as we give the instruments the sign to start.
Believe me it was hard for us four to find togheter the rhythm!
Then the choir started to sing and it sounds fabulous!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0595.JPG

After the practise we were invited to play  the contra bass and Mandraras Guitar

Hi mum,
Hey we got new company and he came from GB aswell. It's Drashuven the dragonfly! But let me start at the beginning!
Mandraras car is out of order and so she needed to go to the kindergarden where her two sons stay every day. But before we went there Mandrara made a stop at the Playground next to the childhood. There she gave Thorin an envelope and Drashuven was in there. We welcomed him and then we entered the kindergarden.

Then we went home and Drashuven was introduced to Imodra and Feru and mum we all laughed when he got to know that there is more then one big dragen ;-)

First we chilled on a towel and had some limo and lemmoncake. Mandraras Mums cake tastes yam yam!

http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0682.JPG
Each of us had his own limocan.
Then we all started a game. In the garden laid a tunnel and we would know who is the sprinter of us.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0691.JPG
Here you can see me mum, for sure it was to hot to run as fast, and later Imodra said that we all had the same time! hihi
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/Tunnelkriechen.jpg
Then we took each others hand an went together trough the tunnel.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0695.JPG
Then we waited the BBQ to become ready and meanwhile we chilled in the pool!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0698.JPG
Mandrara brought me a new can of cold limonade and it was fantastic.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0703.JPG
And oh mist we missed The BBQ because the cool pool was so yeah... But then it was time to leave
We had a wonderfull time there thanks alot to Mandraras parents and to Mandrara and Imodra.
Mum see you soon

Hi Mum

today we've got new company. It's BineHH from Hamburg/Germany. She is not much taler than me and thats nice for me!
Imodra and Feru welcomed her as warm as us all and we waited to welcome her too.

http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0737.JPG
After that we were surprised by Mandrara because she brought us a fresh made cake and some Popcorn to have a little party.

http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0739.JPG
The morning was young and we decided to play a game of Mandraras children. Thorin suggested to play "Looping Louie". In this game you have to safe some chickencoins from the rotating plane.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0749.JPG
It's funny! but after a few minutes, Suomi-girl, BineHH and me decided thats much more cooler to have a ride on "Louie" and so we did it!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0746.JPG
Here you can see me and for sure mum it looks much easier than it is  real. Because the others tried to bring us down!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Rosalind/DSCN0740.JPG
It was a funny morning and it's nice to be here with so convenient TV's.
Have a nice day

Hallo mum,

Imagine what's happened. "Little Dragon" the youngest son of Imodra and feru came home from his trip to the USA. It was a great moment for us all.
We were playing a board game as it knocked at the door. "Flocke" one of the family cats opened and guided Little into the living room.
As he saw Imodra and Feru he droped down his proviant and run up to them. Even Thorin was so lucky that he jumed down the table to hold him in his arms!

He snuggled a long time with Imo and feru and then he came to us to say hallo. Then we put the game away and listen to his stories!

Hi,

the rain stopped and so Mandrara decided to go to the "Wittener Streichelzoo" in english it's called petting zoo, after collectong her kids from the kindergarden.
We all went into her backpack and we had a lots of fun!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0787.JPG
We saw guinea pigs, little rabbits, deers, goats and wild boars. The rabbits, guinea pigs and goas I feeded, but the deers and wild boas were a little bit scary to me!

http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0821.JPG
And then fe found something strange, something very strange!
There was a tree standing near a kindergarden where comforter were bound. Mum i think 50 to 100 comforters mum, can you imagine?
Mandrara told us that children leave their comforters there when they are old enough  to stay without one.

It was cool!

It was nice here to stay with such as much dragons and other tv's. We had a lots of fun here. Ad because I was her first guest Imodra made a chocolate cake for me to say goodbye. Hi Mum or Hallo Mama!

This week I arrived savely in Mainz (Mayence), almost in the middle of Germany. I was very tired and was sleeping a few days because the transportation was quite uncomfortable.

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00417.jpg

Today my host-mum showed me her balcony and I was eating some sweet peppers (yellow and red ones). They tasted soooooo good.

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00419.jpg

And I also visited their birdhouse. It's really nice and I wish I'd be a bird and could live in there.

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00420.jpg

Next week my host-mum and host-dad want to visit the cathedral of Mainz with me – I'm sooo excited about all the sights and can hardly sleep.

Let you know more about my voyage soon!

Lots of love,
Rosalind

Hi Mommy,

Today I visited Mainz, it was soo cool. Even if the sun was not that good today we had a lot of fun!

I've visited the cathedral of Mainz...
the big one...
http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00742.jpg

and the small one...
http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00733.jpg

after that we were reading some books... I didn't understand all the german words, but my host-mum and dad were helping me - and the pictures were nice.
You know, they have some "windows" with books for children in the town. You can choose a book, take it with you and bring it beack after you've read it.

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00723.jpg

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00724.jpg

But I'm tired now of all this walking and reading, so I guess I'll take a nice nap now.

You'll hear more about me soon, my host-parents were quite busy in the last weeks, but the next weeks they'll have more time for photos :)

Lots of love,
Rosalind

Hi Mum,

I have soo much fun with my host-parents, I can tell you.

I think that you know Johannes Gutenberg, the one who was the first guy who printed the bible. His hometown was Mainz, so we went to his museum!

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00738.jpg

I was allowed to sit in some Letters:
http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00737.jpg
http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00736.jpg

And I don't know exactly how this is called … maybe photomaster or die-cut or whatever ;)

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb156/desperate-bid/DSC00734.jpg

So far we're having a lot of fun together, even if my hostmum needs to learn for her terminal examination in december. That's why she doen't write soooo much here.

I hope you're doing fine!

Kind regards,
Rosalind

Dear Mom!

Today we visited the city of Bamberg.

The weather was bad but I hope you like the photos yet...

Bamberg is a very old city and on the photos you see only  historical World Heritage Site.

This is the Cathedral of Bamberg.  Now we're going there.

We're here  :D!

Hi!

Today was a special day: My hosts had anniversary!

We went for lunch to the "Maharadscha". This is a typical Bavarian restaurant  :stare:.

Ha ha! No!  :p
It's of course an Indian restaurant (http://www.maharadscha-sw.de/) in the city of Schweinfurt  :cyclops:.

There was:
Samosa (fried vegetabeles), Onion Bhaji (fried onions), Tandorri Chicken Masala and Chicken Korma.
It was so yummy!!

This evening we went to the theater in Schweinfurt.
http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q658/toyvoyager2013/Rosalind/P1080939_zpsbc5ded48.jpg

Schweinfurt is famous for ball bearings. This a huge one  :o
http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q658/toyvoyager2013/Rosalind/P1080943_zps02864c7d.jpg

We had time so we take a little walk to a lake.
The sunset was beautiful!

http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q658/toyvoyager2013/Rosalind/P1080955_zpsfea7a48d.jpg

On the theater we saw "Calender Girls". Maybe you know the movie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calender_Girls)?
It was so funny!

Hi Mom!

Finally today was a sunny day!

The spring in germany is this year very cold and grey....

So we made a little trip to a village called "Stammheim". There is a little museum with old aircraft and tanks. Unfortunately it was closed, but we saw  this aircraft behind the fence.
http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q658/toyvoyager2013/Rosalind/P1090131_zpsa7b406f2.jpg

A beautiful timbered house.
http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q658/toyvoyager2013/Rosalind/P1090134_zps6ec5b7a5.jpg

On easter the fontains will decorated with eastereggs.
http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q658/toyvoyager2013/Cherry%20Lola/P1090133_zpsc94c2ac9.jpg

Then we drove to the river "Main".  Hostmum said that we go to the other side, but there's no bridge...

Look!  I drove with a little ferry over the river! It was so cool!

Today is my host's oncle's birthday. So we bought a little present.  And we made a peg-cow to decorate it.

In my host's mum's hometown was a village festival. We slept in my host's grandma's house.

We had a little walk. When you look at the trees you see that autumn is coming.

Today I visited an amusement park, which is called "Phantasialand". It is full of roller coasters, freefalltowers, water attractions and all this stuff.

Ahrweiler is famous for its wall, surrounding the city center, and the vineyards, you can see nearly everywhere you look.

At the weekend we were in the city center. They have got a spectacle here. Around the center is a wall, this wall has four gates. And there are four groups of bachelors (boys between 15 and 25). For each gate a group of boys. And they have a competition, well, two competitions. When it is St.Martin's day they light tall, huge fires. The group with the tallest and prettiest fire wins.
And they form pictures with torches in the wine yards. The group with the nicest picture wins.
We took photos but you can't see anything on them. So I photographed the newspaper with an article about this event.

It's "Karneval". These are the 6 days before fasting period starts. People are disguised,  have partys and always smiling. :) (They drink a lot, too)
I am a Cowgirl! :P
Alaaf! (That's what they use as greeting when its is "Karneval")

And we had a quick look at the abbey but we weren't allowed to go into.
Some people say that it looks a bit like Hogwarts.
