The highest point in Bamberg. It's starts to rain.... Because the rain was very strong we returned home... Bye, Kasimir |

Hi!
This afternoon we made a spontaneous trip to the "Brombachsee". It isn't a natural lake but it's still very nice there! It was too late for a boat trip... On the way home we've stopped in Bamberg and went to a beergarden. The people in Upper Franconia called it "Keller". Bye, Kasimir |

Hi!
Today Hippy and Tokki (our both rabbits) have whispered and made something. After a few minutes we knew what was going on. They want to see real rabbits! Hippy and Tokki demonstrated until our host said "Ok! We drive to real rabbits!". So we went to Schweinfurt to the "Oaks", a little park with animals. A relative ! I can't read the sundial but it's time to go back at home . Bye, Kasimir |

Hi mum!
Last night was a terrible storm! Thankfully I wasn't alone! This morning we saw the damage. Twigs and branches everywhere on the streets ... broken trees ... and the tomatoes are a little bent. But don't worry! I'm fine! Greetings, Kasimir |

Hello mummy!
Today we were in the beautiful city of Bamberg. We wanted to the cathedral but unfortunately there were all the roads blocked ... A view of St. Michael. We are then in the historic Old Town. They is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is "Little Venice." The river is the "Regnitz". It is not beautiful? This is the "Old Town Hall". It's really magical here! Best regards, Kasimir |

So, it's time to travel again.
I think I will go to England. I heard Portsmouth should be a wonderful city! I say goodbye to my TV-friends. Before I go I write in the guest book. Bye! We'll see us in England! Kasimir |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Jul 14, 2012, 12:27 pm |
My journey is over! This morning, I knew I had arrived because I dropped a long way (my tummy still feels a bit funny) and then stopped moving. After a while, I heard (human) voices and felt myself being picked up. I then heard more (TV) voices, and soon I was looking at my new friends Virgo, Porridge, Rosalind and Mimi and George!
I greeted them all, and said how excited I was to be able to see Portsmouth. They all stopped talking and looked at each other, then back at me. After a moment, Rosalind told me that we are not actually staying in Portsmouth. In a few days we will travel to Scotland! This is very exciting news! According to the other TVs, there has been a lot of rain recently so they haven't been able to go outside. This afternoon wasn't rainy, so we all went with Frances, our host, to pick up some train tickets we will need in Scotland! It was still sunny when we were on the way home, so we all went and played in the park! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Jul 20, 2012, 8:23 pm |
Today I made a chocolate cake with my friends! Frances, my host, needs a cake to take to a Baptism tomorrow so we all agreed to help out! It was very good fun, but we made a bit of a mess and it was difficult to resist eating all of the batter before it went in the oven, but in the end we were very successful! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Jul 20, 2012, 9:28 pm |
We've made it to Scotland! It was a very long journey, but fortunately I had my new friends to keep me company. We had to get 3 different trains, as well as 2 underground trains, so there was a lot of running around but we had a bit of a break at King's Cross station so we found platforms 9 and 10, but couldn't seem to get through to platform 9 3/4.
I'm very excited to be on holiday with my friends! Hopefully we'll have some great adventures! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Jul 20, 2012, 10:45 pm |
I went for a walk around a Scottish Loch today! It wasn't raining today, so we were able to enjoy a lot of time outside! We saw many geese, swans and ducks and also visited the ruins of some Roman baths! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Jul 31, 2012, 5:15 pm |
Today, I travelled with my host to her flute course. It was only a 2 hour journey, but we took a few detours to make it last all day so we could have some adventures. Our biggest adventure was visiting a beautiful forest with a big waterfall! It was very exciting, and nice to stretch our legs after spending a long time in the car! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Aug 1, 2012, 1:52 pm |
Phew! We made it home in one piece! It was a fun holiday, but travelling home was difficult as there were so many people in London for the Olympics!
When we arrived home, we saw a large envelope. What could be in it? It's Cheney! I'm very excited to have another new friend! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Aug 3, 2012, 8:27 am |
Today I said goodbye to my friends Virgo and Rosalind as they set off for Germany. I am sad to see them go, after having such a good time on holiday with them, but I am excited for the new adventures they will have and I hope one day I might see them again somewhere! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Aug 15, 2012, 8:22 pm |
I just came home from Scout camp! It was very exciting! We explored the Forest of Dean by foot and by canoe, and also visited some caves and climbed up a really big cliff. I enjoyed it, but now I'm very tired. We had to get up early every morning to find wood so we could cook breakfast! I couldn't take any photos in case I got damaged, but I have good memories! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Aug 15, 2012, 8:46 pm |
I visited Stonehenge today! It was very exciting. I'm not sure how they managed to get such big stones to stand up like that, but they've been there for 4000 years! No one's really sure why it's there - maybe it's a calender or a star map, or maybe a temple or just a pretty circle of stones! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Aug 20, 2012, 9:42 am |
I went to Edinburgh today! Which of course means that I'm back in Scotland! Our host has a relative visiting from Canada, who wanted to see Scotland, so we all got to come too!
So today, we went into Edinburgh which is really cool, especially at this time of year as there is a festival on and there were lots of street performers to watch! We went to see the Camera Obscura, which is a big system of mirrors and lenses which allows you to see all around the city from inside one room. It was in a building which also had lots of optical illusions and a mirror maze. We also had a bit of a look around Edinburgh Castle. It was fantastic! we could tell that it was in a good place as you could see for miles from it, and it was so much a part of the rock it's built on that sometimes the wall faded into the rock itself! I can't wait to see even more of Scotland! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Aug 20, 2012, 10:40 pm |
I went into Glasgow today, to see a transport museum. It was really interesting! We saw loads of different vehicles from the past, like old cars and bikes. They looked so lovely! I wish we could've ridden in some. We also saw various things like a film about old cinema, and we met some toys from the 1960s and 70s! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Sep 7, 2012, 1:09 pm |
Today we got to go for another train ride! Frances wanted to go and visit some friends so we came with her so we could enjoy the views from the train.
On the way up, we could see lots of fields and animals and stuff, and also some towns and cities. We enjoyed breakfast on the train. On the way home, it was really dark so we read a magazine, but then the train got stuck and we were in one place for 50 minutes! You couldn't see anything outside the window, so it was actually quite scary! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Sep 16, 2012, 9:08 pm |
Today it was really sunny, and we had been watching lots of paralympics on the tv, so we wanted to go out on Frances' bike. She said that was fine, but we couldn't go as fast as the people we had been watching because she's not an athlete.
It was very good fun, although I'm not convinced she knewwhere we were going most of the time! After a while we started to feel the effects of the sun, which Frances in particular isn't used to, so we stopped off in the shade to have some water. We found a bush full of blackberries, so we picked some and had them as a little picnic. They were tasty! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Sep 30, 2012, 7:21 pm |
I went into college with Frances today, because she had lots of music lessons today and thought we might enjoy it! It was really good fun, although I didn't like having to get up early in the morning and take a crowded bus where we had to stand!
The classes were very interesting. We had performance, where everyone was practicing being confident which was quite funny because they overdid it a little! After that was community project, where people were practicing teaching each other songs so they could teach them to children when they go into schools. We then had lunch, where we went to the Balcony Cafe (which has a balcony which no one uses because the weather's never good!) and ate some wraps and a yummy muffin that Frances made on the weekend. After lunch, we had a lesson where we listened to Baroque music and a lesson where we learnt how to write it. That was good fun! I've decided that I really like Bach |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Sep 30, 2012, 8:22 pm |
This morning, Frances' mum brought a package up to our room. We knew it was another toyvoyager come to stay with us, and we could see from the writing on the packaged that it was Spikey Dragon, but we couldn't open it by ourselves so we had to wait until Frances got home.
It's great to have a new friend, even if I will only be able to spend a little bit of time with him before I go on to my next host! |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Oct 4, 2012, 8:37 pm |
I'm going to be leaving in a few days to carry on my adventure, so I spent some time with all my friends doing a bit of baking!
Frances told us she could magically make a chocolate bar get a lot better! She sort of did, but it involved eggs, flour, sugar, milk and baking powder! It was quite good fun, though! We cut the chocolate up into little chunks, and saved a few squares to stick on the top and watch melt |
MySongIsLaughter Posted Oct 5, 2012, 7:03 pm |
I'm on my way to Germany, to have some new adventures!
Today, I said goodbye to my friends in Portsmouth before getting into my envelope. I will miss them all, but I can't wait to have some new adventures. Who knows, I might even bump into them somewhere else someday! |

Hi Mom,
today I arrived in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany. I had some difficulties to crawl out of my envelope. Butch Flunky and Barnabas helped me out. Look my little new friend Barnabas has a blue nose too. Just like me. He must be a relative (well around athousand corners, but relative) |
Biggi Posted Oct 10, 2012, 7:31 pm |
Hi Mom,
since it was raining for days now, we thought of doing something nice. We had the choice between playing games or solving a puzzle. The puzzle was our first choice as we can do it together and help each other. First we sorted the colours and corner-pieces. Then we started putting the pieces together. Boy this puzzle is really difficult, as the pieces often look same in colour and shape, but it's important to find the correct pieces. |

Hi Mom
As the forecast said today would be the best weather of the whole week, my host decided to drive to a big furniture store. Well this store isn't nearby, so we had to drive about one and a half hour. The weather was very foggy. Allthough it's very dark these pictures were taken at 10:30 a.m. not at dusk. On our way towards the store, we drove thru a passage which is called "Höllental" (Hell's Valley). There we got into a traffic jam because a construction crew was working to make the walls safe. In this valley there is danger of boulders falling onto the street. At this picture you can see us on the dashboard together with Ellie the elephant. Ellie is always sitting there, but she is afraid of leaving the car. This picture was taken after we left the furniture store. See, we didn't buy so much stuff On our way home we took an other way. Still the fog was there but every now and then the sun came out. But then it started to rain. I love how the fog looks like smoke coming out of the trees. My host said it looks like the rabbits were cooking a very big carrotsoup. |
Biggi Posted Oct 14, 2012, 3:04 pm |
Hi Mom,
today our host took us to the historic city core of Villingen. Villingen-Schwenningen is a cooperation city of the old town Villingen and the town of Schwenningen. In former times there was the border between Baden and Württemberg between the both towns. In the early 1970ies the federal state Baden-Württemberg was built. At the same time the double city was established. The reason why our host took us there was a huge bazar market at the old main streets. The host found a parking lot out of the old city walls, which sorround the old city. (Nowadays the city Villingen is much larger than it used to be when these walls were built) On the way to the market, we saw this building which used to be a monk convent. This building with the beautiful sign was a restaurant. Villingen has a cathedral. I couldn't do many pictures inside because I didn't want to use the flashlight. Besides the cathedral is this fountain, made by a famous local artist. I like the painting on this house. It was quite difficult to take a picture of the bazar market because of all those people. |

Hi Mom,
today, just as we were about to leave, the postman brought another TV Djali. She was happy to get out of her envelope. So we all spent the afternoon together at the "Schwenninger Moos" which is a nature conservation area. At the "Schwenninger Moos" the river Neckar is born. It's a beautiful landscape with some seldom plants and animals. As it shall recover to its former habitant poeple don't interfer. When a plant is rotten or have gone stale, it will not be removed. It will stay there and become a part in the circle of life. I like those tiny little flowers. I asked my host whether she know what kind of bush this is, but she doesn't know either. Every now and then there are plates telling interesting facts, like this one. See all the water? Allthough the water is brown it's a healthy enviroment. Here are some fish, can you find them? Every now and then you hear a blubb, when a fish is catching a fly. Once a hawk came all of a sudden out of the bushes and catched a fish. I was a bit afraid it could come back hungry and catch me. The "Schwenninger Moos" is a hill moor. Only a few yaers ago, the moor was in critcal condition to dry up. The the community did something and the waterlevel encreased. Hostmom said, when she was a kid she could stand at this sign with dry shoes. Nowadays there is a platform, so you can come close to the sign, but you can't reach it. Oh those moss-covered tiny hills look so cosy, but it's not allowed to step aside the path nor to let dogs off the leash. Because you never now, if there is water underneath or ground. Look we found some mushrooms, but hostmum said these were poisonous. See how large these treese are? Unfortunately most old trees are damaged by the bark beetle "Borkenkäfer". |
Biggi Posted Oct 23, 2012, 8:00 pm |
Hi Mom,
as it was a warm sunny day, we went for a sightseeing trip to Ludwigsburg. This is a church on an old marketplace. Some people were making music. Funny, the clock in the right tower is teo minutes earlier than the one in the left tower. So the bells ring twice. Once when the right clock strikes the full hour, plus once when the left one does. In Ludwigsburg is a Castle area, which is called "Blühendes Barock" (Blooming Barock). The area is famous for the flowers in the former garden of the castle. There were two bridal couples, taking pictures. I think they will have nice memory pictures of their weddings. At the moment there is the annual pumpkin exhibition. This year the motto is: "Switzerland". All the exhibits show typical things of Switzerland and even the Alpes. There were tiny pumpkins and huge pumpkins Look Mom, I even found a ram sibling. Even the food was made of pumpkins.... pumpkin soup, vegetarian pumpkin swabian pockets (Maultaschen), pumpkin burger, roasted pumpkin seed and even pumpkin french fries! |

Hi Mom,
yesterday we celebrated a farewell party as Butch Flunky and Bjoern were ready to leave the next day. Today Betzi arrived. He was right in time for the first snow in this autumn. We all built a funny snowman. When we came back home, I said goodbye to the leaving TVs and wished them a farewell. |

Hi Mom,
bad weather days need a good and interesting place to go although one wants to stay at the cosy home. Hostmom said she wants to show us her favourite place. She said it's a very peaceful and contemplativ place. I wondered what'll make this place so special. It doesn't look special at first sight. When we came closer, Hostmom told us, the place is called "Elsenau" a pilgrimage chapel like Lourdes. She isn't very religious, but this place seems to touch here deep inside. Usually there are always new candles burning and fresh flowers, but as there is a construction site where the street meets the sidewalk, it's not easy to get there for elder people. So only a few flowers. As there was nobody else we could take some pictures. Someone brought this angel instead of flowers. I think its kitsch and doesn't belong here, just my 2 cents. |
Biggi Posted Nov 21, 2012, 2:30 pm |
Hi Mom,
we had very foggy days. So all the other pictures which were taken don't come clearly so I can't show you more than this one. This was taken between Sankt Georgen and Peterzell. In Peterzell is a shop where fruit and vegetables sold. These are grown at the Isle of Reichenau in the Lake Bodensee. |
Biggi Posted Nov 28, 2012, 4:06 pm |
Hi Mom,
although it was very cold we made a trip to a romantik medieval city. Well only the old city of Fridingen is medieval but these old houses are still in use. Behind these historic walls you can still hear pigs oink, this was and still is a farmhouse (in the middle of the town!) On this wall you can see a painting of the Fridinger Narr, which is a traditional carnival clothing. Although the weather was sunny, we had a lot of shadow. That's beause of the early sunset, which came soon after we took these pictures. |
Biggi Posted Nov 30, 2012, 8:08 pm |
Hi Mom,
I was at a very interesting sightseeing point at the Donau Valley. The point is called "Knopfmacherfelsen" (Buttonmakerrock) There is a small and stony path to a point located on the outskirts. From there you have a very good view on a Donau curve. on the leftside in the valley you can get a glimpse on the Beuron monastery this picture doesn't show how difficult these stairs are. Lots of roots and stones all over the path. On the way down the hill we got a nice view ob the monastery. |
Biggi Posted Dec 27, 2012, 12:08 pm |
Hi,
as my host had a really bad time since a good friend died on 1. December, we didn't made a lot of things to take pictures of. I think it wasn't the right place and time. But then we went for a walk in the snow. Although it was a bright day, the pictures came out very dark. |
