Now it was time for me to show the Castle of Biedenkopf to my new friends!
Please follow me inconspicuous Isn't that a great view? Yes, you're right, the weather isn't that good but come, sit down here for a nice group photograph That's the castle! Please follow me! Hmm.. Beergarden. Unfortunately it is not opened. Let's go upstairs.. phew... these steps are very huge for a little cock like me.. But don't give up my friends. Look at Brwonbeard! He is very sporty! Done! Oh yeah, the restaurant is open! Unfortunately we had not enough time to sit down and have a lunch. So.. Come on! Let's check out the museum! Oh nooo, it is closed until 31th march. But we can take a picture of the courtyard thru the lattice Then we heard something.. Hello? Is there anybody? Huh.. it came from the intercom system.. Someone is at the other side and is handling some papers or anything similar. Hahaha, that was funny but also a bit insane! As the museum was closed we couldn't climb up the castle, so we have to tool some pictures from downstairs. But they are also nice. Now it's time to leave my hometown. So, bye bye Biedenkopf! Bye bye Castle Biedenkopf! And hello new adventures! On our way to Haiger we passed a wood with a great mysterious look. I had to take a picture of that! Wooow, so cool! I hope you liked my travelog and maybe you want to host me soon and show me your hometown. Quakedi Quak Quak |

Hey Mummy!
I just want to let you know that I arrived savely at Lichtenfels. I had only a short trip, only one day on the road. Then I had to wait a few hours in the mailbox. Then - eventually - somebody opened it. My envelope was carried a few stairs up. Then I heard whispering voices. I wondered what´s going on! I saw a little bit of light and then a very, very little yellow bear came in. She introduced herself as Hanna , a Toyvoyager herself. Then I saw the whole crew of TVs! O my good god! So much crazy faces on one sofa! They welcomed my warmly and I talked with the experienced TVs about their adventures. Just fullfilled 7/15 of lifemission 2! Unbelievable, there are right now 7 TVs! They informed me that hostdad has birthday today! They had coffee and bismarcks this afternoon and had one left for me! What a good start in Bavaria More tomorrow! Love you, Mummy! Hey Mummy!
Thank god, my travellog still works! Here you see the pictures of our session in the garden of our hosts! It was really great weather and we looked at the little sequoias. They survived the hard winter! We enjoyed the day and layed down on a comfortable blanket. We decided to gamble. *-Cookie-* has three "6"! Right in this moment the little _Lilly_ came on the tractor, that run amok! But nevertheless we made the rest of the garden work. After we finished we relaxed in the sun! Spring is coming! Love you, Mummy! Yours. Mr.Quakedi Quak Quak |

Hey Mummy!
Today we made a bike trip to the famous pilgrim church of Vierzehnheiligen. We TVs were allowed tried to cycle ourself, but it didn`t work It was more comfortable to go in the backpack Our first station was the basilica, build in the 18th century by the famous builder Balthasar Neumann. But then our hostdad said, there is something very famous behind the church, too. We came to the brewery of the monastry. I tasted the dark franconian beer. Yummiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Greetings from Franconia! Quakedi Quak Quak |

Today we had an exciting day! Hostmum, Billy and me traveled to Bayreuth by train.
At first we learned everything about the production of easter eggs. Is was explained by the rabbits themselfes! At first was shown how cacao beans were harvested. Then they have to dry in the sun. After that they were cracked by a hammer machine, it seems to be hard fork, poor rabbits! The next station shows how chocolate is filled into egg molds. I was more interested in the rabbit lady than in the chocolate Last step: paint and put into a package, yeah After that we saw some culture. In a park there was a wonderful lady of stone, we tried to cuddle with her but she had a heart of stone Although there was no sun today we enjoyed the day in the park. Look at the pretty views! Our next station was the Villa Wahnfried, that was the house of the famous composer Richard Wagner. A "must have seen" in Bayreuth But I liked the last photo more, the funny house with the funny figures, climbing up Very crazy city, I hope I can come back once! Mummy, I love you! Yours, Mr. Quakedi Quak Quak |
Yosemite Posted Apr 6, 2012, 4:04 pm |
Dear Mummy, we bought a motor scooter last week in Bayreuth. Each TV was allowed to drive a round through the kitchen. Sooooooooooo cool!
Look yourself! Quak quak! |

Hey Mummy!
What a great day, it´s easter! Happy easter for you! Today we went to the garden, hostmum said we should look for some sweets, maybe we will find some. And in fact I found a chocolate bug near the rain barrel! And a purple bunny in the grill! Crazy easter bunny! We looked at the little real bunnies in the barn, they´ve been growing the last few weeks. But they are still very sweet Quakedi Quak Quak |

Hey Mummy,
I just fulfilled one part of my lifemission! I was allowed to come to work with hostmum to bake a cake. She works in the kitchen of a retirement home and is responible for baking the cakes for the old people. GREAT JOB!!! At first we needed a big amount of butter, cutted in pieces. This was my job. Then we collecdted the other ingredients: flour, sugar, baking pouder, vanille sugar, crumbled chocolate. Then we put eggs into the bowl, added sugar and the egg whip. And the whole thing in the machine! ACTIOOOOOOOOOOOOOON! Then flour, uuuuuuuuuuuuups, just put my feet into it After mixing the dough I was allowed to put it in the mold. I tasted the dough, ohhhhhhhhh, yummiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeee!!! After that the cake had to bake in the oven and I had to wait... and to wait... and it was boring to waittttt!!!!!!!! But suddelny the 25 minutes were over and the cake ready! My first own baken cake!!! Unfortunately we were not allowed to taste it, because it was for the old people. But I had the good feeling, that I did a social work |

Hello!
I arrived safely in Hamburg at my new host's house. When my envelope was opened there were some little guys waiting for me. This is BER, another Toyvoyager and he is in Hamburg already for a few weeks. He told me much about the city and I am very excited to see it with my own eyes! Then there were these two guys, they are not TVs but also very friendly to me. Pikachu, the yellow one, told me that he sometimes travels with my host but never with foreign people. I was very hungry and thirsty after my travels and so we had a little snack together! I was also very tired, so I decided to go to sleep early and be fit on the next moring! Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

Hello!
Today we went camping for visiting a medieval market. Somehow we did not manage to make many photos but my host told me, that perhaps we will visit another market and be able to take more pictures there! Anyway, here are the few pictures we took! We had beautiful weather for camping, this is the view from our tent. And here we are already at the market, this is the main stage as also many bands are playing on this market. Many people come to the medieval markets and live for a few days like the people did in the medieval age. As they can't build houses for that time, they use tents. A view over a very small part of the market. And here is another stage, it is a bit smaller than the one I showed you first! This is already all I can show you, there was so much to see and so we forgot the pictures... Perhaps the next time, I hope we will get the chance! Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

Hello Mum!
Today we had a walk through Hamburg. Finally I got to see all the sights of this city. We startet our tour at the lake "Alster". It is located in the middle of Hamburg and it is also a small river going to and from the lake. You can go over the lake and through the river with these boats. In the middle is the "Alster fountain". On the one side of the Alter is the "Jungfernstieg". It is popular for good shopping and nice walking. In the distance you can see one of Hamburg's main churches, the St. Petri-church. Here is a part of the river Alster, going into direction of the townhall. And here is the beautiful townhall. I like it very much! Here we were in the arcades along the river. Somehow it doesn't look like Germany... Directly next to the townhall is the "Rathaus-Schleuse", in translation "Townhall-lock". On the place in front of the townhall was a wine festival. And here is the church again. On our way back home we came along the St. Jacobi-church, another main church of Hamburg. After our lang walk, we were really tired and decided to go home. Bye, Mr. Quakedi |
Mondfalke Posted Sep 10, 2012, 9:16 pm |
Hello Mum!
And here I am again on a mediaval market! This time we were in Hohenlockstedt, it is a small village in North Germany. The market ground was an old airport. This is the small stage of the Scottish band "Saor Patrol". They have mostly drums, a bagpipe and an elctric guitar. We had a little snack here. Ah, these are not "Saor Patrol" but another Scottish band called "The Dolmen". The sun was shining really hot and so we needed to care for our sun protection. This is a cup of mead, a drink similar to wine but made of honey. My host really likes it and it is a popular drink on mediaval markets. This is the food and drink box in our tent. We put all the things in there to keep some kind of order. And this is were I slept in the night. And some morning ritual. This was our tent, small but nice. The next day on the market, some morning impression. This knight was so friendly to hold me for some time. A special highlight for all the kids were the stray-playgrounds. And also little Toyvoyagers had lots of fun there. I have also met some strange guy. He is called "Slayer Pika" and not a Toyvoyager but he is often on tour with his father. They both like metal music very much. After so much fun I was very thirsty but my host had thought of me. We then had to pack our tent and things and then we were already on our way home. It was really funny and I enjoyed my second mediaval market! Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

Hello Mum!
Today I visited something very special here in Hamburg. We were in the "Miniauturwunderland". It is similar to a museum but everything is very small. The Miniaturwunderland is located in the harbour and we had a nice sunset. This is the "Elpphilharmonie", the new opera building in Hamburg. The people here are not sure if they think it is beautiful or not. The beginning made some glas cubes with the same scene in different times, starting in the very early mediaval times. And here we are in the Suiss part. They built the Red Bull-flying challenge in small. They also had a festival. And this mediaval market beyond the ruin of a castle. This train station was hidden in the wall. Some more impressions... Did you see the ghosts on the second picture? And here we arrived at the airport from Knuffingen. Knuffingen is the name of the town they had built. Next to the airport were some gardens with a birthday party. And a model of the castle Neuschwanstein, the probably most popular castle in Germany. But then we went back to the airport. They also have day and night there, here it is getting night over the airport. The airplanes were really starting and landing on the airport. But as we never really got when it happend, we just have these pictures after the airplane has landed. But on the second photo you can see the exit in the wall through which the airplanes flew. Then we walked on... Here we are in Knuffingen. They have also a fair. And here is a christmas village. Perhaps Father Christmas is also living there. In the background you can see the TV-tower of Hamburg. In front they are pulling down an old company building. We were a little bit jumping between the areas, here we have some Wild West! Here they have built a part of the harbour from Hamburg and in the next picture you can see the St. Michaelis-church, also a min church in Hamburg. And some Grand Canyon. Ah, and we also found some aliens! The USA have some secret alien-bases, this is the clue! And we arrived in Los Angeles at night. See all the lights! And back to Hamburg... The main station from Hamburg... ...and the Köhlbrandbrücke. Here you can see a typical zone of the German North Sea Cost! And here is a little bit of "Hagenbeck's Tierpark", the zoo of Hamburg. The last part of the Miniaturwunderland is Scandinavia. There they have also moving ships! Here you see a Swedish mine. I really liked all the snow here! Do you recognise these guys? It is a bit small but this is Pippi Longstockings and her friends! The ship in the back is the Flying Dutchman, beware! With this experience our trip to the Miniaturwunderland ended and we went very tired but with many great pictures in the heads back home! Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

Hello!
Today I am writing from Bochum in Northrhine-Westphalia. My host stays here to visit some relatives but we found also time to have a look around the city. But first we had some chocolate in the hotel. It was birthday chocolate with a cool cow on it. Oh, it was so delicous! Oops, now I have eaten half of it... I was so full of chocolate that I had to go to bed afterwards. But I was fit again the next day and so we started our trip at the mainstation of Bochum. There was some kind of party in the inner city going on and we found this funny car. We saw a lot of churches this day but we don't now the names of all of them... This one is located right in the city centre! It has a spring in front of it. This dog we found in front of a shop. Here you have a look up and down the Kortumstrasse, the main shopping street in Bochum. This guy is from the musical "Starlight Express", the most successful musical in the world and he was standing in our hotel. In the city we also found some art in the city. It was really colourful. Ah, this is the St. Peter and Paul-church. We also saw this statue. This is the town hall of Bochum. And this church is located in front of the town hall. It was made in 1867 for the world exhibition in Paris. This church is called "Christuskirche". Then we came to one of the main sights of Bochum, the "Bergbaumuseum", a museum about coal mining. We hadn't the time to go inside but we could take some photos around the museum. Can you see me on the next? From the Bergbaumuseum we took the underground to the Rewirpower-stadium, the home of the football club VfL Bochum. From there it was not far to the building of Starlight Express. We could only look from the outside but there was a train standing in front of it. On our way back we came across this beautiful church. And finally we saw the planetarium. In front of it is some sign that still tells, that Bochum was one of the stadiums of the Women Football World Championchips 2011. We were really happy about the sunny weather and had a lot of fun in Bochum. Bye, Mr. Quakedi |
Mondfalke Posted Oct 4, 2012, 10:51 pm |
Hello!
Today we saw some more of Hamburg and finally I got to see the harbour! We had great weather, sunny with some clouds and good for taking photos. Hamburg is located at the river Elbe and the old buildings are called "Landungsbrücken". Here you have some view over the public part of the harbour. The ship to the right is a ferry and used for public transport as well as bus and underground. There were also a lot of seagulls sitting there. A view over the Elbe to the more industrial part of the harbour. The musical "The Lion King" is located in the yellow tent. If you have some spare money you can go through the harbour with this ship. Sitting in the sun. The clock tower of the Landungsbrücken. In the small window it also shows the water-level of the Elbe. This is the perhaps most popular ship of Hamburg and called "Rickmer Rickmers". On the harbour are also located the scandinavian churches of the sailors, here the Swedish one. And here are pictures of the Finnish, the Norwegian and the Danish church. After the scandinavian churches we came to the main church of Hamburg, the St. Michaelis-church. The people from Hamburg just call it "Michel". Next to the Michel are some old houses, called the "Krameramtsstuben". After our visit to the Krameramtsstuben we went home and had a nice evening together. Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

Hello!
Today we had a some surprising visit from another Toyvoyager called Strawberry Girl. Then we decided spontaneously that she will stay with us until the Postcrossing-Meeting in Bielefeld in the middle of October. I am really happy about that! Bye, Mr. Quakedi |
Mondfalke Posted Oct 4, 2012, 11:21 pm |
Hello!
Today we are going to bake a cake. A very special one, as it is with some liqueur called Amarula und an elefant on the top. I am really curious how we get the elefant on the cake. First we read the instructions on the back of the package. We had to weigh some of the ingredients and I took the chance to weigh myself... 30 gramms, perhaps I should eat less sweets... First we put the margarine in the bowl. Then we needed three eggs... Now we had a look at the content of the package. And here we have the form for the elefant, we could almost hide below it. We put it all in the bowl and mixed it to get the dough. We prepared the form with some baking paper and filled the dough in. Now we had to bake the cake and afterwards wait until it was cold. Then we took a thread to cut it into two halfs. We should put the liquer on one of the halfs with a spoon. Now it was time to prepare the cream. First we put some of the cream on the lower halb of cake, then added the second half and put the rest of the cream on top. The cake needed to go to the freezer now for some hours. Afterwards we could put the form on it and make the elefant. The ready cake tasted to delicious that we completely forgot about taking pictures while eating. Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

Hello!
Today a new Toyvoyager arrived! We welcomed him very friendly, this is his first trip and he was a bit excited. His name was NicePeter. He brought some sweets with him and shared them with us. Also he has a mesage from his Mum. Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

Hello!
Today we wanted to go to a place at the river Elbe called Wittenbergen. But the weather was always changing and we wasn't sure if we can go. But then it was decided that we would go! We had to go by underground and bus to get there. Here you can see the plan. From the bus station we had to walk along an nice forest. We found ths mark which shows how high the water was at the floods 1962 and 1976. Just as we arrived at the water a big container ship was passing by. We walked along the pier and had a great view around. So we decided to have a little break there. We decided to go down the pier to where the ferry boats make their stops. After this, we made our way to the beach. Here you can see the pier we have just been to. Finally we arrived at the lighthouse, it is only a small one but I didn't mind. We were really tired after all this walking and went home to have a warm tea. Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

We found some agaric flies in the garden today! Jenny didn't allowed us to touch them, she said they were toxic... Bye, Mr. Quakedi |

Hello!
Today we had a trip around the lake Alster. We had really luck with the weather as the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. We were going by bike, as you see us sitting on it in the picture. We could also sit on this small stone in the water, just like on an island! The lake in the city is really fantastic, everywhere you stop you have a great view. Here you can see us sitting on one of the bridges. There are also small ferryboats on the lake and this is one of their stations. You can see one in the second picture. When we were almost around, we could see the great sunset. We went home from there to enjoy a nice evening. Bye, Mr. Quakedi |
