Here you can see me hugging Brownbeard and Foxi This purple guy is called Woozy And the tiny ones are Pink_Bear and Tamina The sun was shining, so i went outside to take a look at the balkony. Waaahhh mommy... a cat! Oh nooo, and there comes another one... What the... Hmm, it seems they are friendly Phew! I was a bit scared as they come that close to me. The red one is named Eloy and the black one is Cami. Awww, look at this.. she's smooching with me Okay, let's have a look at the garden of my new home. That's the view from the balcony. Evarything looks beautiful with a bit of snow, the clear blue sky and the sunshine That's enough for now. I will talk to you later. Bye bye |
Eustachia Posted Feb 5, 2012, 9:29 am |
Hi mommy
Today my host is going to the birthday party of her niece. She is two years old and we helped Eustachia to fill a Piñata. This is a christmas tradition in Mexico, but they were also used for Easter in Spain and for children's birthday party. We filled the little horse with some sweets, confetti, play dough, tiny figures, buiscuit cutter for the play dough, a necklace and bracelet and some balloons. Haha Pink_bear wants some more confetti! Woozy and Foxi liked the pink balloons with kitties more, but Pink_Bear and i prefered the long ones with faces and oats so Eustachia took the long ones. Finished! This is the birthday cake for Leana Looks cute.. and delicate. Hihi Bye, bye Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 9, 2012, 11:58 am |
Hi mommy
Today Foxi and me visited Aschaffenburg in Bavaria. There in the backgorund you can see the Castle Johannisburg, our destination And here it is! The Castle is one of the main atteactions in Aschaffenburg. It was erected between 1605 and 1614. Until 1803 it was the second residence of the prince bishop of Mainz and the archbishops. Brrr, this lamp post is sooo cold! Waaahh But the sun was shining and so we could warm up a bit Wooow, what an impressive Building! We did a walk around the castle and the sight was so beautiful! Foxi: "Hey Misslucy! What are you doing there?" Misslucy: "Maybe we can open the wicket!" Hmm no, it was locked... It was so nice to sit there with Foxi, watching the frozen Main and the warming wintersun.. Okay, lets go inside.. Come on guys! Let me in! *knock knock* Foxi: "Eeeh, Misslucy.. the door IS alreday open!" Misslucy: "Oh.. hihihi.." Well then.. step in! I wanna hang on this bell! Hmm.. what a bummer, it is to high for me to climb up.. Thats the place in front of the castle. So, bye bye nice castle Yeah, a guide to the city. What? Explore the city by foot? No,no,no! It is definitely too cold today! We'll take some pictures from inside the car! Time to drive back homeward with a beautiful sundown. Unfortunately the picture couldn't show how beautiful it was.. with an extremely orange glowing sun I hope you like the pictures Bye,bye Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 9, 2012, 1:00 pm |
Hello mommy!
Today i visited the niece of my host. And Foxi came along with me He is so nice and we became very good friends. When Leana (the niece) was sleeping, Foxi and me played a bit with her toys Do you know Aquadoodle? Woooow, this thing is sooo cool! You can color with water on a pad and then it turns into blue.. it's magic! Watch this! Haha Foxi and me coloured the hole pad! That was so much fun! And after a minute it will turns back into white and the pad is clean! Amazing! Time for a snack.. Yummy! Applecracker Then we played some sort of fishing game. Foxi won but it was funny anyhow This cute little snail is one of Leanas friends and she is named Lilly. Time to play with Lego Duplo. Lena got the Lego Duplo farm for Christmas last year. Aawww.. look at all these cute animals! Foxiiiii! Lift me up! Woohooo! Yeah.. a mixer! Oh noo, Foxi is too small to put this green triangle into the mixer... Well, i will do it! Oooh, look here! The ballons we blowed up for Leanas Birthday party! Let's go down.. Foxi: "Misslucy, be careful!" Misslucy: "Yeeeah.. i got it!" Woohoo! That was fun! Bye bye Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 18, 2012, 6:23 pm |
Hello mommy.
Today Eustachia took me to the exhibition "Ambiente" in Frankfurt/Main. Wow, how exciting! Everything is so huge! And there it is! The Messeturm! A skyscraper which is the second tallest building in Frankfurt and the second tallest building in Germany. It is characteristic for the Frankfurt skyline and it's called "pencil", due to his appearance. Here are some impressions of Ambiente 2012, an exhibition for living, giving and dining. Aaaww... Hello Kitty aaand Hello Kitty pans! Mommy, we need one of those! Can you find me on that picture? Aww, how cute! Ommmmm... On the left you can see the booth of Rotho, the company my host is working for. And finally the "pencil" by night. Time to drive back homeward. It was a long day but very very interesting. The "Ambiente" isn't that glamorous like the "Christmas World" (you can find some pictures on Foxi's travelog), but i had fun The parking garage has 5400 parking positions! Omg, so many cars... and everybody wants to get out of it Bye bye Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 12:49 pm |
Hello mommy
Today Tamina, Brownbeard and me, we're going on a trip with my host Eustachia. She had a job in Osterode nearby the Harz and asked us to come along with her. Yeaah, a new journey.. let's go! While driving we listened to the soundtrack of Final Fantasy XIII-2. Sounds great! Very epic! And later we listened to Warrior Cats. A great adio book! You have to chekc it out mommy! After work it's time for us to go to the hotel. See you later! |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 1:06 pm |
We left Hesse and arrived at our Hotel in Beverungen, North Rhine-Westphalia.
This hotel named 1a Pension is very special, because downstairs is a store for beds, coverlets, pillows and stuff. And they sell special electric slatted frames. And in the hotel upstairs, you can sleep in this beds and test them at night. Hehe, cool! And here we are. This is our room. A decribtion how to use the bed and.. haha, what's that? Hotelslip-on shoes. Funny! Oh, there it is. The magical remote control Okay Brownbeard, we are ready! Let's do it! Hahaha, that was fun! And now it's time to relax. I had a little reading, Brownbeard was surfing in the internet and Tamina read a journal. Eustachia gave me that reading. You remember the soundtrack we listened to on our tour? Final Fantasy XIII is a game for Playstation and Eustachia played it last year. Now she bought the ne game named Final Fantasy XIII-2. This reading is the story between the two games, what happened. She told me about the first game and it seems very interesting so i took a look at this reading. Now it's time to go to bed.. Good night Brownbeard. Good night Tamina. Good night mommy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 1:18 pm |
*Yaaawn*
Wow, i slept very well in this bed. As you can see, Brownbeard and Tamina are still sleeping. Let's have a look outside, how the weather is. Get rid of it! Okay, now the window.. Oh nooo, it's raining Hey guys, wake up! Time to move on! Brownbeard found a booklet about a city walk through Beverungen. Oh noo, the weather is too bad for something like that. We packed our things and did some crazy aktion. Hahaha, Hi mommy Oh, before we leave we should fill out this survey. So, for me, it was a great place of residence. Bye bye Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 6:20 pm |
On our tour trough Hesse i saw many nice landscapes. The weather became a bit better so we took some pictures.
Here is more snow than i expected. This is a nice picture. The sun was shining but in the back you can see only black clouds. Very strange! We passed the "Weidelsburg" nearby a little village named Ippinghausen, nearby Wolfhagen. The weather was good enough to visit the castle.. so we thought... But as we drove the field path to the castle, all we saw was snow and ice on the ground. No way to get up there. Up there is the Weidelsburg. What a bummer, that we couldn't visit it. But we had a great view across the area from this place. There in the back you can see a wind park. Before we go to Homberg Efze, we ate a bismark. Haha, how funny that "Berliner" in english is "bismark". Yummyyyyy! Hahaha, take a look at Brownbeard. His nose is completely white! |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 6:59 pm |
We arrived in Homberg Efze and had enough time to make a quick detour to the "Hohenburg". How great!
Aww, look at this! Every bridal couple, which married here, is planting a plant right here and then they stick a little lable with their names and the date of wedding day in front of it. What a beautiful idea! Okay, let's go inside! But first of all.. a nice group photograph First we passed the gate tower. Woooow.. Hmm.. if we climb up this tower? Maybe... you'll see! Where am i? Oh, look over there. Here is the civil registry office! And this is the view over Homberg Efze. Time for another group photograph Hey Brownbeard! Come with me, maybe we'll find a treasure! Haha, mommy, you should know that Brownbeard is allways looking for some treasures, as you can see on his travelog But Tamina told us, that this is only a herb garden...no treasures! But theeere! In the back! Brownbeard! I found something! It is locked! There MUST be a treasure! Oh nooo, only a floodlight Okay my last "find me"-picture was way too easy.. but can you find me on this one? Here is a little hint, if you need one Haha, Brownbeard, still straining at the leash to find a treasure, found another potential hoard.. Oh dear! Just a floodlight, too. We sat down the wall and enjoyed the nice view! And finally a nice picture with the tower in the background... Okay, Brownbeard.. be a luv and sit down and keep still! Brownbeeaaaard! C'mon... Yes, we got it.. But i swear.. one second after taking this photo he felt down a third time. Oh my god... That was a great day. Talk to you soon mommy. Love Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 7:51 pm |
Helau mommy!
Today is Carnival Monday, but we're not going to a Carnival party. Instead of that Rishu and me, we got tickets for Helge Schneider in Frankfurt. Yeeah! This city is soooo big! And all the buildings are very huge! Let's enter the basement garage. Fortunately we found a parking place nearby the "Alte Oper". And that building was the first one i saw when we left the basement garage... Woooow! That is sooo high! This is the Alte Oper, where Helge Schneider act out. But first we had a little snack at "brot&butter", which means bread&butter. But i cannot recommend it to someone. Sure it was very tasty. But also very expensive. And the service was sooo unfriendly! Inside the Alte Oper.. uuh, it begins! so pssst! Haha, okay with a lot of fantasy you can identify Helge Schneider, or not? That's the break room, where we drank a water. Eeehh.. oops.. In front of the Alte Oper you can see the Commerzbank Tower on the left. It is one of the tallest skyskraper in Europe. Frankfurt looks so beautiful by night! I hope you can see my profile in the front of the picture. Hihihi. It was quiet dark! Time to drive back homeward. And finally the Tower of Europe, a 337.5 metre high telecommunications tower. It looks great at night! But very hard to take a good picture of it while driving I hope you enjoy my pictures. Good night Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 8:58 pm |
Hello mommy and Heeelau!
oh no, i'm not at a Carnival procession or something else. Today we had to dispose some garbage, in particular paper, as you can see Hahaha, the whole car was fill with it. Eustachias boyfriend renovated his bureau. He bought new office cupboards.. and then we had much paper to get rid of. Bye bye from the junk yard Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 9:18 pm |
Then we drove to Gießen, to buy some picture frames for the recording studio. Oh.. i haven't showed it to you yet. Hmm.. i'll take some pictures of it later
Here are some impressions of Gießen City. This is the "Zeughaus". It is not really an arsenal. It is more used for the students of the University here in Gießen. What a nice building. Gießen city somewhere.. This is the new city hall. It was build in 2009. And the theater. Dumdidum And finally we arrived the furniture store, where we're going to buy the picture frames. Hugs and kisses Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 24, 2012, 9:39 pm |
Hello mommy
Today i was on tour with Brownbeard and Rishu in Biedenkopf. Eustachia met a little fluffy cock there and he came along with us. His name is Mr. Quakedi and i think he is a very nice guy. He wants to becoma a ToyVoyager. So i showed him the ToyVoyager Tag, which he will get too if i become a TV. Haha he really liked it and cried "I want one! I want one!" He is so sweet! And really cuddly... Then we talked a bit about being a ToyVoyager and about our adventures we already had. Hopefully he will find a host very soon. After that, he wanted to show us the castle Biedenkopf. Okay.. let's go! First of all a nice group photograph! And then upstairs.. phew... these steps are very huge for a little mouse like me.. We wanted to visit the museum, but unfortunately it is closed until 31th march. But we can take a picture of the courtyard thru the lattice Then we heard something.. Hello? Is there anybody? Huh.. it came from the intercom system.. Someone is at the other side and is handling some papers or anything similar. Hahaha, that was funny but also a bit insane! As the museum was closed we couldn't climb up the castle, so we have to tool some pictures from downstairs. But they are also nice. Next time i will force this tower! Bye bye Castle Biedenkopf! On our way to Haiger we passed a wood with a great mysterious look. I had to take a picture of that! Wooow, so cool! I miss you mommy, but everything is fine and i found so many new friends. Love Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Feb 26, 2012, 3:22 pm |
Hello mommy.
Today is a sunny day, so we went outside to play some UNO. Eloy is our dealer .. but i think he is a bit bored. Hihihi Hmm i think Mr. Quakedi is going to win this game... Then Pink_Bear came with a Travel Tag on his paw. He gave it to Mr. Quakedi. Now he's a real ToyVoyager with his own TV Travel Tag and we all congratulated him. I think today a dream of him come true I wish you a nice sunday. *cuddling* Misslucy |

Hello mommy
Today i was on the road again. And i met new friends! Rishu and me, we were at the car and ate some TicTac while Eustachia was working. Suddenly two little sheeps entered the car.. They introduced themselve as Mimi & George. So i asked them if they want to eat a tasty TicTac with Rishu and me. And then we welcomed them. They seem to be very friendly They told us that they want to become ToyVoyagers, too. But they are a couple and travel only together. Aaawww, look at them. They are sooo sweet! Later Eustachia showed us a book she bought. Hihi, with yummy strawberries on the cover. She told us, that she started a project called Cosmopolitan Cookbook. And this book will be her cookbook, which will travel around the world to collect some recipes everywhere. What a nice idea! Mommy, you can join this, too! I know you're a good cook So let her know, that you're in! Hahaha, Rishu starts writing some recipes into it.. That's all for now. Talk to you soon. Love Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Mar 4, 2012, 3:03 pm |
Hi mom
Today the weather is soooo great! Perfect to go outside and do some crazy things.. but my hostmom Eustachia is wounded. On Friday some heavy boards falled down on her toe. And now it hurts and is turned into blue. So, no chance to go outside. So we had to find another activity Let's sit down at the sofa and play a bit PlayStation 3 Yeeaaah! Eustachia got a new game named "Final Fantasy XIII-2". Do you know it? I allready told you about it. I had a reading about it when we were at the hotel in Beverungen. Do you remember? And today we play the game. How cool! You remember Mimi? The nice sheep i met three days ago? She was asking what we are doing and so she joined.. I explained her the game and told her something about the story. The nice girl on this picture is called Lightning. One of the main characters of the game Final Fantasy XIII-2! And then Rishu showed her the strategy guide. Let's open it.. Hahaha, Rishu.. it's not that easy when you're sitting on it... ..and have a look inside. Wow, these pictures are very beautiful! Okay, that's enough. Time to start the game! I'm so excited! Oh, there is Lightning! Wow, the grafic art is really great! Everything is so colorfull! Uuhh, seems that this one is the bad guy! Let's play! Rishu and me, we use the controller to play while Mimi & George help us with the strategy guide. I wish you a great sunday, mommy! Kisses Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Mar 5, 2012, 5:39 pm |
Hi mommy
After playing Final Fantasy XIII-2, we went downstairs to visit the sound studio I already told you about it and now i can show it to you. On our way to the Studio, we passed the nice garden.. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that good to play here, but maybe the next days There it is! Let's enter! Oh! There are some pictures. Let's see if i know anyone of them.. This is Hans Zimmer, composer. Do you know him? He composed such great soundtracks, like Pirates of the Caribbean or Gladiator. And these two cool guys on the right are Herman Li and Sam Totman from the Metalband Dragonforce! And here we got Gary Moore and Rhapsody of Fire! Do you know this guy? It is John Williams, an American composer. He composed many film scores, such as the Star Wars saga or Indiana Jones, amongst others. Okay, enough about these pictures. I want to see the studio and make some musik! Wooow, so many guitars... Oh, that looks kind of complex... Okay, first of all i started to play Piano.. And then we had to do some calibration at the mixing desk.. Okay, Piano is recorded, now we need to sing! And here is the sound booth With pink light.. nice! For girls, like me Misslucy: "Rishu, come over here! Here is the microphone!" I found the songbook and we chose a song. Rishu started singing.. Rishu: "Misslucy, i don't want to sing alone. Please! Let's sind together." Misslucuy: " Okaaaay!" So we sang together. That was nice! And finally we recorded the guitar tracks. Rock'n Roll! That was a great day! We had so much fun and i recorded a song with Rishu together Cool! Good night Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Mar 5, 2012, 5:58 pm |

Eustachia Posted Mar 5, 2012, 7:30 pm |
Hey mommy, guess what...
a few hours ago, we said goodbye to Rishu and now.. booom.. three new packages arrived! How exciting! Who will be inside? Let's check it out Hihi Cami is very excited, too. Pink_Bear opened the first envelope.. It is Wotan, a TV of Eustachia. He returned home for just one day, to bring some gifts from Kissemizz. So tomorrow he's going to leave us again and continue his travel to mailianne in Czech Republic. Look what he brought from Sweden. Two swedisch butter knives.. and a postcard of Helsingborg. Very nice! But today arrived two other packages. So let's have a look who's inside the second envelope. It is Häppie_Sheep, from the German ToyVoyager Trail... Hello, nice to meet you! *hug* Hmm, but who is in the last package? I opened it careful. Oh, it's another TV, named Cilly. So we welcomed her heartily. I hope she wasn't afraid of Eloy What a big Hello! Three TVs arrived. Hihihi. Time to calm down, so we sat with Cami at the window and had a look outside... Bye bye Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Mar 11, 2012, 6:21 pm |
Hello mommy
The weather outside isn't very good and my hostmom is still hurting, so we couldn't do some excursion. But we found some fat balls and a peanut-bar for birds. But you know, two cats are living here and i think they would be very happy if we place the bird feed right on the balcony.. I think it's better to put them into the garden. Out of range from Eloy and Cami. Hihihi So let's go downstairs... That's the garden! We found the first place where a fat ball was already placed. But as you can see, it's empty. So we replace the old one and put right there a new one. I took the old one and Häppie_Sheep placed a new fat ball on the tree. Cilly found the second place, where we can put the peanut-bar. This tree seems to be perfect for our second fat ball. Waaahh, this is very high.. I placed the fat ball on a branch. And Cilly helped us to come back down safely Oh my god.. Cilly, do you think this is a good idea? Waaaahhh... But she caught me! Phew. Then she caught Happie_Sheep, too.. and we were all back on the grass without getting hurt. Okay, there's only one fat ball left. Where can we place this last one? Hmm, this tree is a good place! Oh, and there is another empty fat ball, so the birds know this place to find some food Häppie_Sheep grabed the old one, while Cilly and i placed the new fat ball on a branch. Come on Cilly, lift it up! Cilly: "Wooaa.. it's not that easy!" Go, go, go! You'll make it! Okay, i got it! And finally i put it on the branch.. Done! That was hard work! Time to relax. Oh look! Some Crocuses! Spring is coming closer! That was a nice day. I miss you mommy and i hope you had a great weekend, too. Kisses Misslucy |

Yeah, you're right, today i was in Fritzlar. Your hometown Hehe, i know, we were here a few month ago, but Cilly and Häppie_Sheep beged me for showing them this nice town. So we did a little walk and took some nice pictures. I hope you like them, too. Love Misslucy |
Eustachia Posted Mar 19, 2012, 7:49 pm |
After leaving Fritzlar we passed Bad Zwesten, Bad Wildungen, Korbach and Hofgeismar. Every city nearby your hometown It felt a bit like coming home
In the evening we arrived at our Hotel (Landhotel zur Krone) in Dransfeld, so hello from Lower Saxony This is our room It is not that pretty, but it wasn't very expensive Waaah, what's that? The washing basin is broken.. Omg, and the mirror, too... Eeehh... Time for light evening meal! Later we read this magazine "In touch". Hahaha, we are three girls, so that's the perfect magazine for us... Some news about celebrities, the latest gossip, and some suggestions how to dress up. Omg, poor Angelina. Everyone is laughing at her... Before we went to bed, we took a look at www.toyvoyagers.com. What else? Time to sleep! Good night mommy Good night Cilly, good night Häppie_Sheep. |
Eustachia Posted Mar 19, 2012, 7:56 pm |
Good mooorning *yaawn*
We slept very well, that we didn't hear the alarm-clock. Oops! A quick look outside, how the weather is today.. Then we drove to Göttingen. This is one of the shopping street, but nono.. we were not shopping! Eustachia was here for work, and while she was making her job, we walk around and took some pictures Unfortunately the St. Jacobi church will be restore, so it's not sooo nice to take a picture of it.. Eeehh, whatever. |
Eustachia Posted Mar 19, 2012, 8:00 pm |
Next stop: Northeim!
And we were in a shopping street again The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the sun! |
Eustachia Posted Mar 19, 2012, 8:29 pm |
And the next city, we visited, is Duderstadt
Same procedure as in every city.. Eustachia was working and we took some pictures.. This is the St. Servatius church As you can see on the clearblue sky, the weather was sooo nice! There in the background is the city hall. I really don't know what these two people doing there.. but it looks funny We relaxed at a bench and enjoyed the sun again... That's nice! In the background you can see the St. Cyriakus church ..but we prefered to play at the playground, instead of visiting the church Time to move on... |
Eustachia Posted Mar 19, 2012, 8:37 pm |
On our way to Eschwege and then back home we passed a nice wood..
And great landscapes, where farmer are working on the field.. Spring is coming! Or is it already here? That was a great trip and we had a lot of fun. We saw so many cities. And i was in Fritzlar. That reminds me on you, mommy I miss you and i hope you're fine. Kisses Misslucy |

Boris Kitty Posted Apr 12, 2012, 1:21 am |
I actually arrived in the USA yesterday but I was so tired from my travels that I did sleep and sleep.
When I woke up this morning it the Easter Bunny had been here and left us a basket. Scruffy is still in his robe and bunny slippers. Silly Scruffy. Scruffy finally got dressed for the day. Here are new pals Edgar DaKitty and Scruffy McGee. They are very nice. We got a Lego set in our Easter basket. I thought this was a piece of cheese. But it was so hard! We had built a cute little duck and her babies out of that pile of bricks. It was a lot of fun too! My hosts tell me we will build more things from Lego bricks later. YAY! Then we went outside for the Easter portrait and to have an egg hunt! Edgar hid the eggs for me a Scruffy to find. We took our eggs over to Edgar and he put them in the basket for us. Then he put me in the basket! We did have a very HOPPY Easter! |
Boris Kitty Posted Apr 12, 2012, 1:35 am |
My new pal Scruffy took me out for a drive in his fancy sports car.
We drove down the street to look at the pretty flowers. It is important to take time out to stop and smell the flowers. |
Boris Kitty Posted Apr 12, 2012, 10:44 pm |
I went to work today with my host's human2 and Scruffy came along too. He is a really nice guy. I think you would like him.
He got a package delivered to him there. I helped Scruffy open it and see what was inside. Oh goody! It is his ToyVoyagers tags!!! He put his tag on and now we look like twins! We immediately jumped online and I helped him set up his ToyVoyagers profile right away. Maybe we can host him sometime once he starts his travels? Please? |
Boris Kitty Posted Apr 30, 2012, 7:31 pm |
Tonight we went along to the movie theater! We are here to see The Hunger Games.
We got popcorn! And soda! But shhhhhhhh the movie is starting. It was a very good movie but the humans with us all agreed that the books were better than the film. Maybe I should read the books now? |
Boris Kitty Posted Apr 30, 2012, 7:43 pm |
My host, Boris Kitty, got a new friend. His name is Spock. He is a scifi-loving Baboon from the Isle of Wight in the UK. He will be living with Boris and his family from now on! Kolo is in charge of rehoming baboons to his pals all over the world. He is really a great pal to have!
So in celebration we decided to treat Spock (and ourselves) to Indian food. Yum! We started with Naan, a traditional bread. As you can see Spock is ready with the water just in case the curry is spicey. It was a buffet style restaurant so we went back for some more of our favorites and to try a few new things as well. The food was very good. I think I like trying out foods from different places. |
Boris Kitty Posted Apr 30, 2012, 8:02 pm |
Boris' human was heading to Atlantic City, NJ for a trade show for her company and said we could tag along!
This is my first look at this city as we drove into it. We got there safe and sound and headed to the convention hall where we saw a really neat retro poster for Atlantic City. Scruffy and I posed with these bathing beauties! There were some really big fish in the convention center flying around over head. There was a red one. A yellow one. And a green one. We could not reach them they were way up high! This nice garden area is in the center of town. Right here you are close to the shopping outlets, casinos and the boardwalk. What more could you want on a trip to Atlantic City? I will tell you what! A sandwich from the White house! They have the best submarine sandwiches around! Loads of famous people have come to the White House to eat. There are photos of all the famous celebrities that have stopped at the White House to eat hanging on their walls. Here I am with Danny Devito. I even got to watch them make my sub. It was yummy. I really wanted to go into the casino and gamble but the humans were to tired from the trade show and said maybe next time. I took a little nap on the way back home. It was a very busy day but I had fun. |
Boris Kitty Posted Apr 30, 2012, 8:37 pm |
Not exactly sure where we ended up on this trip. We were visiting greenhouses and drove all over Lancaster County.
You can see the pretty farms in the background of this photo. There were cows, chickens, sheep and donkeys all around me! I really liked these bright marigolds. They made me smile. These two chaps were nice, but we never could figure out what they were looking at. We played hide and seek in the elephant ears. And we were told beds of flowers are not for sleeping in....oops! I loved the orchids. They were so pretty. I discovered these small miniature gardens called Fairy Gardens. They are just the right size for me. I wanted to move right into this little house! There was such a cute little garden and swing there. |
Boris Kitty Posted Jun 28, 2012, 6:17 pm |
We went to the movies again.
This time we used the online ticket ordering and had to pick up the tickets at the machine in the lobby. I grabbed them for us. I see we are seeing Prometheus in 3D. I have not seen a 3D movie yet. COOL! We had to wait for the movie to start so we had fun in the lobby. I got to "hang out" with the folks from Dark Shadows. And then we met the Muppets. It was hard to see the movie unless you used these glasses. 3D is cool. The movie was about scary aliens, but I was not scared and really liked the 3D. |
Boris Kitty Posted Jun 28, 2012, 6:26 pm |
We are back at the IMAX theater to see The Avengers. You can see here that Loki is flying past me (thanks to the LEGO Lens app we get LEGO pieces flying around us).
Loki was being chased by Ironman, Thor and Black Widow (just like what I will see in the movie)! Looks like Loki followed me into the theater too! I hope those LEGO guys don't bother me while I watch the movie. We loved the movie it was great! HULK SMASH!!! |
Boris Kitty Posted Jun 28, 2012, 6:41 pm |
Today we are not going to the movies.
Instead we are going to do something really good that makes us feel great. We are going into the Humane Society of Berks County to donate some toys and treats for the animals that are waiting for forever and ever homes. My pal Scruffy McGee is helping out today too. (May I bring him home with me?) Here you can see all the fun toys for dogs that we brought along with us. We did not forget the kitty cats though. Here you can see all the yummy treats we brought for them (they will get toys next time). My host is a volunteer with the HSBC and helps socialize the kitties (that means she gets to go in and play with them). Let me show you some of the cute kitties they have there. First we met Kitty. She is an adorable young torby that looks like she wants to chase my tail. She thought she might give Scruffy a little sniff. Then we saw this adorable little black kitten that just wanted to play with us. He tried and tried to get us. Normally my host would go in and play with these sweet kitties, but since we were along she decided to come back later. I do hope they all get adopted. |
Boris Kitty Posted Jun 28, 2012, 6:54 pm |
Today we went to the Philly Pretzel Factory to buy soft pretzels. YUM!
I got to see where they make the pretzels. Boy they smell good. Paid for my order. When we got back in the car I crawled right in the bag after a pretzel. I could not help myself they smelled so good. Hot right from the oven. YUM! |

Hi folks,
finaly I arrived home in Delligsen, the long journey from the United Staats to Germany takes 3 weeks…. Fortunately I was in company with Scruffy McGee, a rat I meet at my Hosts place. I know it from my own experience that it could be very boring and dark in our travelboxes, and I smuggle a candle and some matches in our parcle. Me and Scruffy McGee had a lot of fun and telling some cock-and-bull storys. What a great greeting with all the other TV´s at home, when we opend the travelcase. Also Mr. Shaun was back home from his odyssey. His story is much more interesting than mine, but I´m not sure, that I realy want to sample such a unfearful jorney. and then....a great surprise....my dream come true, a pair of pants with polka dots, thank you Dr.Kröbner, I´m a happy little rat , By the big welcomeparty, me and Sruffy McGee had to recount about the last weeks til sunrise and now I´m realy tired and want go to bed. Bye, bye Misslucy |

Hello!
Just a quick note to say I arrived safely! |
miapearl Posted Sep 10, 2012, 6:14 pm |
It is a nice day so my host and her family went to Llandudno, a town on the north Wales coast.
There is a hill, and an easy way to get up and down it (when it isn't too windy) - by cable car. It can get windy - do you see the wind turbines out at sea? Another easy way is up via the tram. One is going up now. There's a copper mine. In the distance, is the town of Conwy on the River Conwy. The sea is calm. There's the tram again. One of the thingymebobs. The Conwy estuary. Llandudno is down there. And there is the pier. There's a dry ski slope. Last shot before the cable car goes into the station. What a nice ride. |
miapearl Posted Sep 10, 2012, 6:19 pm |
Another nice day but this time, my host's family went fishing.
I wonder if I can help my host... Where did you want this? |
miapearl Posted Sep 10, 2012, 6:23 pm |
Today, we went to a butterfly zoo.
I think this is a Great Mormon butterfly. Is this a Great Eggfly butterfly? Cocoons for the Atlas Moth. Various other cocoons. I am not sure what butterfly this is. Look at those "eyes" There will be more Malachite butterflies soon. A caterpillar. Part of the butterfly jungle. The view in the other direction. |

We have come on holiday!
This is Middlesborough's Transporter Bridge. We were too late to go on it last night. However, we've come back today and are allowed to go on this. Getting ready to leave. The control cabin is on top of this little deck. The journey was quick and the deck had already returned to the other side. It is coming back again. It is nearer! Nearly there. We'd better get back so we can make the return trip. On the way back across. Near the bridge is a museum, but we didn't take any photographs. We came back out to see the deck coming back. It has gone back across the river. We've come to the side to watch the bridge again in action as it crosses the river for the umpteenth time. |
miapearl Posted Sep 28, 2012, 9:09 pm |
We have arrived in Whitby. Our first stop is the Dracula Museum. It is a bit spooky but I am not scared. The flash took away some of the scariness of this display. Next, we watched a replica of HMS Endeavour (the original sailed under Captain Cook) take a group out for a little trip. And then we visited the lifeboat museum. Display about early 20th century lifeboat and rescues. Cork lifebelts. Whitby also has an Abbey on the other side of the river and up the hill. Having a go at "copying" a manuscript! A museum. We walked around the abbey before it started to rain. |
miapearl Posted Oct 10, 2012, 11:38 am |
We went to Scarborough on our way home.
We visited the Sea Life centre. This is an anemone stuck to the aquarium glass. There is a quiz for the children to do. Fish! Another fish. Skate? and a shark. These fish don't really pose for the camera. It is rather relaxing watching these fish. Different ones came to have a look at us. And everyone else visiting! Time to see other fish. Corals and coral fish. A rather spiky looking fish. More fish. Jellyfish. Jellyfish polyps. Nautilus Giant octopus on the glass. Enjoying the sunshine! Starfish. Anemone and hermit crab. More fish. A shark having a rest. Lazy fish! We are in the tunnel going through the aquarium. Perhaps this is a zebra fish. seahorse. |
miapearl Posted Oct 19, 2012, 8:39 pm |
Hi Mum,
Today, we went out for a quick spin on the bus to Beaumaris. Beaumaris is a historic coastal town on the Isle of Anglesey. This is a 13th century castle listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. We didn't have time to go around because my host wanted to catch another bus to go shopping. |
miapearl Posted Oct 19, 2012, 8:51 pm |
Hi Mum,
Today, we went for a bus ride. It was raining outside. It was still raining when we got off the bus. The place we visited has a history. The Romans were here in 60 AD Here are just some of the information slates. And then we went for a cuppa, before going home. |
miapearl Posted Oct 25, 2012, 12:03 pm |
Hi Mum,
Today, we went to the site of an old Roman fort complex. We are still in Snowdonia. The area now is farmland for sheep. The lake in the background is Llyn Trawsfynydd. There's a Norman motte. This is a view from the motte, there's the lake again, and the decommissioned nuclear power station. The lake again. |
miapearl Posted Oct 25, 2012, 12:15 pm |
Hi Mum,
After visiting Tomen Y Mur, there was enough time to come to Llyn Trawsfynydd. There's a bridge across the lake. Wow, look at the lake's surface, so calm and good for reflection. I think we can walk across it. Yep, we can walk across. My host's son and husband are already half-way across. Can you make out the decommissioned nuclear power station over there? |
miapearl Posted Oct 25, 2012, 12:25 pm |
Hi Mum,
Today started out a sunny day so we came out on the buses. However, when we got to our destination, it was raining. This is a gold painted post box. This was painted gold as we are in the Taekwondo Olympic Gold winner's, Jade Jones, town. Not the best pose but it is raining. We missed the bus so came back to look at the postbox again, and it had stopped raining. We caught the next bus. The windscreen still has raindrops. Look how much rain had fallen. The bus can't make it through that! |
miapearl Posted Oct 25, 2012, 12:45 pm |
Hi Mum,
Today is a nice day so we came out for a walk. These are puffball fungi These are the dunes at Aberffraw. More fungi, these funny black clubs... There's the sea and beach. Snowdonia mountains on the mainland. The beach is empty. A river meets the sea here. Some more fungi on the way back from the beach. More fungi, different one again. |
miapearl Posted Nov 15, 2012, 6:51 pm |
Hello? What am I doing inside a bag? Did anyone bring a torch? |
miapearl Posted Nov 15, 2012, 6:56 pm |
.... moving.... in a car.... I think .... shall go to sleep.... yawn..... |
miapearl Posted Nov 15, 2012, 7:04 pm |
Finally! Fresh air... What is that? Looks a bit like an onion.
Ah, the name of the island is Ailsa Craig. The name is also the name of an onion! |
miapearl Posted Nov 15, 2012, 7:40 pm |
It looks like we'll be staying by this beach in a caravan.
Although given the weather, I doubt if we'll be appreciating it to its full extend. In the background is the Isle of Arran. Perhaps we'll be able to visit Arran by ferry. |
miapearl Posted Nov 16, 2012, 9:22 pm |
Today, we have come to Glasgow.
And inside to a science centre overlooking the River Clyde. Look, there are three different sized squares around a right-angled triangle. The liquid in the one big square fits into the two other squares. This exhibit has different metals for two electrodes. This combination looks great. This combination is good but not as great as the previous go. But this is not very good at all. A plasma ball Does my bowline knot not look good!? Panels made from different recycled plastics - wellies, mobile phone covers, bottles, yogurt pots, plastic bags... This is an exhibit about the first heart transplant. The heart is being delivered. Surgeons operate.. And all became well. What time is it? Where did the time go? Pretty pattern Finished pattern Illusions... this is a Kanizsa triangle. A giant kaleidoscope Alice in Wonderland in the mirror I think. Pinna illusion. Poggendorff illusion Time to go... BBC Scotland. We were inside that. |
miapearl Posted Nov 16, 2012, 10:31 pm |
Arrived back at the caravan after a good day out. |
miapearl Posted Nov 22, 2012, 10:17 am |
Hi Mum,
Ooops.... I think we wanted to catch that ferry. So we caught the next one. Bye bye Scottish mainland. There's a lighthouse, but I think it is on the mainland. That is the ferry we missed. I think we are nearly there. |
miapearl Posted Nov 22, 2012, 12:40 pm |
We have arrived on the Isle of Bute.
This is Rothesay castle. It has a moat. This might be the great hall was this castle built in the reigns of these two Kings? Rothesay, and the mainland in the distance. Some renovation is being done to make the castle safer. The tower was built to improve defences and provide accomodation for the high steward... The Norwegian flag is on the right. A couple of views on the outside of the castle. This is the prison, in a pit below. I came down that ladder. That's the ladder to go down to the prison. This is the ferry ticket. Waiting to sail back to the mainland. It is getting dark too. |
miapearl Posted Nov 29, 2012, 4:21 pm |
Arrived back at the caravan after a good day out. |
miapearl Posted Nov 29, 2012, 4:40 pm |
We are on another boat
We are going to sail soon. There's a lifeboat, but I hope we don't need it. This trip, we came over with the car. It is wet and miserable out there. Autumn has arrived. We are driving around the island. This is Arran. There is sunshine, but those clouds spell rain. This is Kildonan, on the south of the island. I think this would be a nice beach in summer. I think that island is uninhabited. It has a lighthouse. This is a whisky distillery. It is quite a new one. Pretty scenery, even in the rain. Water draining from the hills. More rain. There's the ferry. We'll catch the next one. This is Brodick harbour We have a boarding card. It is getting dark out there as we sail back. Let's get back into the warm... |

mmm105 Posted Dec 3, 2012, 2:39 pm |
Hello mommy!
Brrrrrrr... Today was really cold day: -21 degrees Celcius!!! I went outside with other toys (Kurnau, little Sunny, Nyankororin, Bussi, Phog). My plan was go there to play with the snow, but I couldn't be there long time, only some minutes. It was freezing! But even though the snow was so cold, I made a snow angel for you, mom! But mommy, the cold weather makes the nature looks so beautiful! Well, you will underestand what I mean when you look the pictures. Enjoy! Love, Misslucy |

Hello!
Today is the independence day of Finland. It's a national public holiday held on 6th December to celebrate Finland's declaration of independence from Soviet Russia. Finland's independence started in 1917. Now I'm going to show you how we celebrate this day. Look the pictures! I went outside and hold the flag of Finland. Others were there, too. And then we decided to bake cookies. Yummy! We made cookies with the shape of Finland. MMmmmmmmm.... they smell already so good!!! After cookies came out off the owen, it's time to put jam between two cookies... ...and then we decorated cookies with the colours of Finland: blue and white. Yummy! Now the cookies are ready to eat!!! In the evening, we watched the TV show about the Presidential Independence Day Reception from the Presidential Palace. This event is Linnanjuhlat in Finnish. Famous or well-known Finns are there, dance, small talk, little snacks...etc. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, FINLAND! HYVÄÄ ITSENÄISYYSPÄIVÄÄ, SUOMI! Love, Misslucy |

miapearl Posted Dec 11, 2012, 9:29 pm |
Today, we visited another castle.
First, we looked at a model of what the hillfort or dun probably looked like in 500AD This is a model of the second castle built in the 13th century but was possibly destroyed by Robert Bruce And this is the third castle on the site. We went for a look around, but the weather was a bit wet. The staff were preparing for a Halloween do later that day. The interior might have looked like this. |

We have come back into Glasgow
This time, to a transport museum. A tram An underground train in Glasgow. Have I been by the underground/subway before? A carriage. A pub! Lots of motorbikes! Another tram. Pedal power. Skye is another SCottish isle. I doubt I will go there this trip! A Cunard ship. A wall of cars. More vehicles. On a tram. On a tube. A moving thing of boats... A motorbike. It is quite a big museum. We came in at that entrance down there. A Daihatsu van decorated for the 1997 Salaam festival A couple of engines. Highland Railway 103! Glen Douglas loco. Model engines A motorbike, for some reason, is on its side. Rather old vehicles. The museum lies on the river Clyde, the buidling across the water is where we were on Sunday, the science place. The view downriver. Back inside for another quick look around. |

Today is very exiting day: Jouluaatto (Christmas Eve). We did some piparkakku (Christmas cookies). And then we decorated the joulukuusi (Christmas tree). Hihii, this Christmas tree is outside We went to joulusauna (Christmas sauna). And there I met the saunatonttu (the elf of sauna). And then we eat jouluruoka (Christmas food). Then we eat joulupuuro (Christmas porridge). It's rice porridge, and we eat it with socker, cinnamon and milk. And very exiting thing is that there's one almond hidden in the porridge, and the person who got the almond to his plate, this person will have good luck the hole next year. (it's one kind of myth or magic thing... ) ...and we eat also some Finnish Christmas desserts: joulutorttu (sweet tart made by puff paste and plum jam on it) and piparkakku (Christmas cookies). And MOMMY!!!! Then I really met the joulupukki (Santa Claus)!!!! And guess what I did then? I DRANK HOT CHOCOLATE UNDER A CHRISTMAS TREE!!! I got one of my life mission completed!!! Hello mommy!
Today I was walking outside again. Now I want to show you some places of Ilomantsi. Ilomantsi is nice small village with about 5000 inhabitants. This building is the City Hall of Ilomantsi. This is the main street, and there's almost all shops and groceries. I like those red street lambs. It was -17 degrees Celcius today. This is "the water tower" of Ilomantsi. I don't know, what is the current English word for it. Mommy, look this view! Do you think it's beautiful? Love, Misslucy |

Hello mommy!
Guess what I did today? I was so happy, because I was able to join in postcrossing meeting in hostmommy's hometown Jyväskylä. I met there some new toy friends, but also many nice people, who wrote lots of postcards. Maybe I can tell you a secret, mommy... Take a look at your mailbox very carefully during the following few days. You might find something nice from there... The postcrossing meeting was in the postcardstore named Harjun Paperi. So, I was curious, and I went to see the store, too. There were so many beautiful things selling in the shop. I wanted buy everything. Today was really nice day. Love, Misslucy |

Here you can see me in front of the Church of Jyväskylä. This church has buildt in 1880, and the architect was L. I. Lindqvist. The building material is red brick, and it was the first stone church in Central Finland. Love, Misslucy |

Hello mommy!
Today I visited to see the oldest building of Jyväskylä. The building called as Taavettilan riihi, which is in English the drying barn of Taavettila. The building has buildt somewhere in 1700's, the exact year is unknown. First, building used as a drying barn, but somewhere in 1800's it became usual barn/cabin and it got windows then. In 1900's the building started to be a cabin museum. Love, Misslucy |

Hello mommy!
Today is laskiaistiistai, so we all baked some laskiaispulla. Laskiaistiistai or in English Shrove Tuesday (also known as Pancake Tuesday and Pancake Day) is the day preceding Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Shrove Tuesday is determined by Easter; its date changes annually. In Finland the day is called laskiainen and is generally celebrated by eating green pea soup and a pastry called laskiaispulla (sweet bread filled with whipped cream and jam or almond paste). The celebration often includes sledging. Here you can see photos about we are baking the laskiaispulla. First we mixed together some warm milk, eggs and put little bit cardamom there. And then we add some sugar, butter and other spices. ...and ofcourse some wheat flavor. Mixed them well together. Now it's time to wait little bit... ...and after waiting some time, it has increased by itself!!! We made some big balls (these are going to be sweet pastries), and put some egg and sugar on them. Hmmmm... it already smells so good! After having them in the oven, they were almost ready. We cut them in two pieces, and put some jam there... ...and then we put some whipped cream there, too. Yummy! Now they are ready, and we can eat them, and just enjoy! Sooooooo good!!! Love, Misslucy |

Hello mommy!
I had very nice day today! Hostmommy started a new hobby: geocatching. It's an outdoor recreational activity, people use a GPS receiver and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world. It was really fun!!! And we found some caches! In the picture you can see how hostmommy has written her username mmm105 to the little book, which was inside the cache box. And mommy, I visited in the snowman village, too!!! And I ride a snowdog!!! What a fun day! Love, Misslucy |

Hello Mum.
Today I arrived in Bochum. I was really excited to meet new friends here. When I heard voices outside my envelope I couldn’t wait to get out here. When the envelope opened I could see a lot of TVs who were waiting for me. There were Snowball, Hoppsi, Cassiopeia, TezTez, Peppi Pooh and Gwen Jolie who is joining the Long Time RR to. They hugged me to welcome me here in Bochum. Then I showed the others what I had brought with me. Snowball asked me to take a picture with her, for her memory album. After that we decided to make a cake for Shilo as a birthday surprise. We were all working together and at the end we made a really yummy looking cake. |

Hello Mum.
Today another TV arrived here at Bochum. Angel was very excited to see who will be inside because it was the first time that he saw the envelope with a TV inside. When it opened a little sheep came out called Tsukumo. She is joining the Big German RR just like Angel. We all hugged her to welcome her here in Bochum. After that she showed us what she had brought with her. Because we were so many TVs here at the moment and some of us will travel on the next days we had the idea to take a group picture together. The weather was better than the last days so we planned to take a walk outside. We visited a small park near our home. |

Happy Easter Mum.
Today the weather was so nice that we went outside to search some spring flowers and with some luck the Easter bunny Look I really found some flowers and some Easter eggs. While we were walking around we saw a small playground. We took the chance and played a bit. When we got back home, we noticed that the Easter bunny was here and that he was hiding some Easter eggs into the living room. We were really good in searching and at the end we had found a lot of eggs. Happy Easter to everybody! |
