Hello!

I'm a tiny dragon. My name is Druri.
Druri name is derived from Old French origins, and it means "friendship".

I'm going to tell you my story. Are you ready to listen?

I have spent my hole life in a shop in Madrid's airport. My biggest dream has always be able to travel in different places, learn and see new things.

Then I saw a kind-looking human, who watched me. She took me on her hands and said I'm cute, and then I realised: this would be my chance. So, I ask if this human could take me, and could give me a life outside the airport's shop. This human started to smile, and she adopted me right away. Oh, it made me soooo happy!  :)

I started to call this human as my mommy, mentor, mmm105. She promised that I will see the World. Wow!

This is how my story began. Would you want to help to continue my story? Would you take good care of me, and take me with you in different places so that my journey can go on? If so, let my mommy know about it.

kisses,
Druri dragon

My very first journey started right away, in the same day as my mommy adopted me. And I already met other ToyVoyagers, who were travelling with mommy: TobiHH, Wayne, Kit-Kat, BarryO and Ronja. We became friends!

It was quite late last evening when I arrived here.
This place is Riviera del Sol, and it's Mijas-Costa, just next to Mediterranean Sea. I'm here about one week with my mommy and toy friends. This is nice place to spend a holiday.  B)

These pictures are from our hotel. Is it look nice?

Hi! I was walking on the beach of Mijas-Costa, it's a part of the hole beach of Costa del Sol. There were so soft sand. I really liked walking there without any shoes or sandals or something.  B)

It really feel like summer now!  B) Sun is shining and it's so warm (about 29 degrees Celsius).

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6WCKYzwyBLs/T_suRLcr71I/AAAAAAAANZw/De2dbEKazjQ/s640/espanja%2520036.JPG

When I continue walking on the beach, I found this small cave! How cool is that?  :D
We all went inside to the cave, just because we all toys are too curious, hih.  :D

Because I wanted to see the big ocean even more better, I decided to climb on the rock. It's the same rock as the cave has.
Other toys climbed there, too.
Can you see me? I'm on the rock's wall.  B)

After walking on the beach I wanted to enjoy sunshine.
So, I took a sun bath, it was soooooo relaxing!

i Hola !

In the evening I visited in a zoo named Biopark.
It's located in the town named Fuengirola, one of the town in Costa del Sol.

There was amazing in the Biopark!!!  :D There were so many animals there, and the hole zoo was like a tropical paradise!

I met different monkeys, tigers, alligators, parrots, flamingos, hippos, frogs, snakes, birds... etc.

The most exiting thing was that we all were able to go inside the place where they kept monkeys from Madacascar (the first photo). And when we were there with those monkeys, one of them was interested about mommy's backbag, and tried to take a look inside of it. Hih!  :D Maybe the monkey was hungry and searched food from mommy's bag... Or maybe he was only too curious.  :D  :D  :D But it was funny thing anyway.

I saw a very old church, and I went to see it closer.
We are sitting on the wall of the church. Can you see me?

Then I walked on small streets of Mijas. In a background, there's a nice mountain there. And if you look very carefully, you can see the white building in the mountain, it's a cathedral.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-W9NPMgMUDns/T_v1KnMitSI/AAAAAAAANew/uioKgxDQ3N0/s640/espanja%2520277.JPG

How nice, they have donkey-taxis in Mijas! I said 'Hello!' to donkeys. :)

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-h1WTE3Tbeuk/T_v1Y2jX-vI/AAAAAAAANho/xJTGraFOZ6Y/s640/espanja%2520310.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-TEqVBhySkDo/T_v1dhZWPFI/AAAAAAAANjA/aZJBlYnk8No/s640/espanja%2520323.JPG

Hello!

I visited today in a great place: Gibraltar.  :)
Gibraltar is a British overseas territory located on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula at the entrance of the Mediterranean.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-VlxvlxdC-kM/T_w4cMcksBI/AAAAAAAANlk/pOcSZC1c2Ao/s512/espanja%2520439.JPG

Because Gibraltar is British overseas territory, there's some double-deckers, offcourse. I think those red busses look nice and unique.
In the backround of the photo there's a part of the Rock of Gibraltar.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-lKvFbzQNpSE/T_w4cIBvCLI/AAAAAAAANlg/bTH6LbHwY2w/s640/espanja%2520436.JPG

This is the lighthouse, it's called "The Europa Point".

"The Europa Point Lighthouse was built by Governor Sir Alexander Woodford between 1838 and 1841. It was fully automated in February 1994 and its loom can be seen over a distance of 27 km (17 mi). It is the southernmost lighthouse for which Trinity House is responsible and the only one outside the UK." (Wikipedia website)

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-rQcCirAdtHs/T_w4htZy5UI/AAAAAAAANnA/-lapTsSqGd4/s512/espanja%2520468.JPG

My journey in Gibraltar continues...
Now I am inside of the Rock of Gibraltar. There's a cave, a big one, and inside the cave there's many dripstones!!! Cool!!!  B)
I'm in the stalactite cave! Wow!!!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-D_41cXPNSxw/T_w4ui4Up7I/AAAAAAAANpI/UiCOtuHQVP0/s640/espanja%2520516.JPG

Outside the cave I met a monkey of Gibraltar.
These monkeys have a bad reputations, because they often try to steal from humans. Luckily they were in kind mood today, and didn't try to steal anything from mommy.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/--CYrkRMWsQI/T_w407u-M_I/AAAAAAAANqQ/EB32pc1_-94/s640/espanja%2520534.JPG

This is one view from the Rock of Gibraltar to the city and the sea. Is it awesome?

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-zUzFFg9SOFI/T_w453UakSI/AAAAAAAANrM/GCmAwAtvVBo/s640/espanja%2520545.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-trzO3Fse8DA/T_w4_tY01JI/AAAAAAAANr4/TgGbdC4cXYQ/s640/espanja%2520566.JPG

Then I did something really exiting thing!
I drove in a cable car to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar!!!  :D

And now I'm on the top of the Rock of Gibraltar.
It was a windy place, so hostmom had to take photos quickly.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-MNy4kow-eaY/T_w5FvEPYPI/AAAAAAAANtI/3XzCNOuah4k/s640/espanja%2520584.JPG

And there, on the horizon, there's a mountain from Africa!!! Wow!!!
I can see the part of Africa!!!  B)

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-FZRH9AnXOCI/T_w5G8T1DrI/AAAAAAAANtY/8O6xy9BmI14/s640/espanja%2520592.JPG

i Hola !

Today I visited in a city named Benálmadena. It's also one city in Costa del Sol.

We stopped to watch a nice fountain on the street. It was funny fountain, because it changes the sizes of water (first it was small, but then it suddenly turns out to be a big fontain, and then small again etc...).  :D

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ghYpaC7DzpI/T_0kp8LCxYI/AAAAAAAANug/EPHeLY0xsO0/s640/espanja%2520632.JPG

There's a mountain named Mount Calamarro in Benálmadena. And there's an opportunity to go to the top of the mountain using cable cards. So I drive cable car today, too. But this time it was much longer way (about 2600 metres), and it took about 12 minutes to go in one direction.

It starts here.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-X8P_BWQmvV8/T_0ksW3jdII/AAAAAAAANvA/TvhJaPGKc4M/s512/espanja%2520638.JPG

And now I'm in the cable car. Wow, views are great!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-EKFyIfoM174/T_0kwYSfEuI/AAAAAAAANwA/0LevillFDBc/s640/espanja%2520653.JPG

On the top of the mountain there was a bird show. I managed to be in the same photo with this owl. :)

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-9h1RgHjzlj4/T_0kzilV3KI/AAAAAAAANw4/-ts6FK4eDl4/s640/espanja%2520689.JPG

Do you think these views are beautiful? I think so, and I enjoyed watching these landscapes. I was walking on the top of the mountain (about 800 metres over sea).

Hi!
Today I saw some public art works outside. They are all so unique. :)

This one is called as "Elämän koulu - vastuu, luottamus, luovuus"
In English it might be something like "A school of life - responsibility, trust, creativity"
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6QVftvZkkGc/UAMVHx2QQfI/AAAAAAAAOiU/v1CP75_-Ycs/s640/005.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-ZxZZ2oKi3Bw/UAMVJgJa0eI/AAAAAAAAOi0/9VpCxpaX4gg/s640/010.JPG

This one is "Karhu" ("A Bear"). The artist's name is Oskari Raja-aho, and the statue has made in the year 1930.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/--5b6YTlyU8s/UAMVMqtoDrI/AAAAAAAAOjo/3E0uMefVktw/s640/018.JPG

Look, we all are riding on the bear!  ;)
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-d1AUl0I-rFc/UAMVWnJFyLI/AAAAAAAAOl0/i6seyKJLVlA/s640/038.JPG

This one is "Keinumieli-Tyhjämieli-Häkkimieli" and the artist is Juhani Petäjäniemi, and it has made in 1989.
The name is difficult to translate into English, but it might be something like "a mind of swing - a mind of emptyness - a mind of cage".
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pPDviu8sC_E/UAMVO4U407I/AAAAAAAAOj8/Qtv3BkUdaWQ/s512/022.JPG

And there's a statue "Kauppias ja apulainen" ("A Merchant and his assistant). The artist is Pauli Koskinen, and it has made in 1959.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-lF3ekCTUY08/UAMVZ_nLJEI/AAAAAAAAOmw/y84sh4JLR1E/s512/047.JPG

After walking a little there started to be dark clouds in the sky, so we turned walking back, and we hoped to arrive 'home' before it's raining...

...But we didn't managed. It started raining so quickly.
And the rain, it was HARD, we got totally wet within one minute.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6XfG9G9-fno/UAMVk4Q0nWI/AAAAAAAAOp0/5oeDwwtX-xw/s640/080.JPG

We run back home, and inside it was time to get dry again, aww... :)

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-THtfSFSwL_g/UAMVotAMGBI/AAAAAAAAOqs/EJt2SvfAp6A/s512/089.JPG

What an adventure!!!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-g5g0Ac15fxc/UAkQH3JdaSI/AAAAAAAAOvY/-W9_HzUSGXk/s640/002.JPG

This is an orthodox church of Jyväskylä.

And this is an evankelic lutherian church of Jyväskylä.
The church has buildt in 1929, and the architect was Elsi Borg.
This church has called also "the church of angels".

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-sLt5lbx-Y6M/UAkQczaDJSI/AAAAAAAAO0A/Vtp7Fcae418/s512/040.JPG

Then I continued my walking, and I found a river named Tourujoki.
This river goes through the city of Jyväskylä. It's about 2 kilometres long river,
and it goes from the lake Palokkajärvi to the lake Jyväsjärvi.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-iXy-OpUlrbY/UAkQom4nUjI/AAAAAAAAO1w/wR-mZPPn8zg/s640/058.JPG

Hello!
I visited in the natural park of Jyväskylä.
It's so cool forest area just next to the river Tourujoki. It's a nature conservation area in the middle of Jyväskylä.

At first, we need to go down to the long wooden old stairs. It was exiting!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-U6bLVT0JUWg/UAl4_7hpsRI/AAAAAAAAO9I/H0OfEIL51wg/s640/065.JPG

Look, how beautiful nature there is!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-PIZAS4bP0mE/UAl5I11tJpI/AAAAAAAAO-c/skTiezsGljI/s640/076.JPG

Can you see those weird things in the tree? They are "kääpä" in Finnish, they are some kind of mushrooms growing in old trees. How cool!

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-JJGTRkDuvtA/UAl5OOWC_NI/AAAAAAAAO_E/3_QVkjnWKTs/s512/085.JPG

It's time to have a little brake, and just relax. :)

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XRPm8LihZbk/UAl5VqiDnzI/AAAAAAAAO_0/PcdFVy-sPzI/s640/096.JPG

Then it's time to walk forward.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-fGyTZvhz5vc/UAl5ZOu89dI/AAAAAAAAPAU/JTOOjwfFsAs/s640/100.JPG

We walk on the "pitkospuut", the wooden path on the ground. There must be this wooden path, because the ground is so wet.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-V7pS1MagEho/UAl5kiGGUHI/AAAAAAAAPBk/j_TbBcXAkPk/s640/112.JPG

It was a nice place, this small natural park! :)

Hi!
Today I visited in the Craft Museum of Finland.
Due to water damage, there were only small exhibitions of different things.

There's my favourite work on the picture. It's so colourful!
On the floor there's many tiny marbles there.
And in the wall there's a lot chrocheting hotpads.
All together it looks nice, right?

Hei! Hello!
I was walking a lot today. I went to see this town, Jyväskylä, so that I can always remember my home while I'm travelling abroad.
Maybe I can tell you a secret: I have got an invitation from Germany! Soon I will travel, and it will be my very first time without mom.

Well, let me introduce my hometown Jyväskylä...

There is the street only for pedestrians.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-JX4SB66OXVQ/UBFmAL4mFRI/AAAAAAAAPRI/X7_Xqc7xSS4/s640/IMG_8215.JPG

There's matkakeskus, it's the buss station and a train station in the same building.

Hi!

In the last few days there's happened many things.
First, a new toy arrived from Germany, named Rico the Tiger.
Then I visited in the place called Harju and I saw great views from the Harju's viewing tower.
And the Olympic Games has started. I watched the Opening Seremony from TV.
And because I will leave here soon, I wanted to visit on the lake just next to home.
All things were great!:)

Hello!
I have got an invitation! I can now start to begin my travellings by my own! I'm going to Germany.
But at this time I don't have to travel alone, because TobiHH will travel with me. I'm going to visit TobiHH's mommy!!! I'm so exited to see TobiHH's hometown, and to meet dicker Kumpel, because TobiHH has talked a lot of him to me. I'm sure we will have great time in Germany. :)

TobiHH showed me from the map, how far away Germany is from Finland. It was nice that he did it.

Kurnau said goodbye to us. And then all others came to say it, too. I'm going to miss them all...

But we are not only ones to leave here. There's other ToyVoyagers saying goodbye, too. Niiskuneiti will also travel to Germany, but to the other town. And Honeymooners will travel to Japan. I hope they will have a great journey!

It's so dark inside this box, but luckily I have company, TobiHH. :)

Goodbye Finland! Germany, I'm coming...

Hi Mum,

TobiHH and I arrived in Sülfeld. Dicker Kumpel is the host here – he gave me a warm welcome.

I showed him and the other TVs what I brought with me.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0617.jpg

Today we took a trip to a village near to Sülfeld. Can you see me on the big stone?

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0549.jpg

See me on a lot of wood!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0550.jpg

We found a nice place and talked a lot.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0556.jpg

Then we went to a nice cabin – and watched for birds!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0558.jpg

Can you see the white dots – there were swans!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0561.jpg

I liked the tree in front of the blue sky.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0564.jpg

And I loved this funny tree.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0571.jpg

We had fun at this point. We made a competition in long jump.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0576.jpg

And I won – because I used my fire-breathing to jump faster and wider!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0577.jpg

Can you imagine what I did here?

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0581.jpg

Yes, I used the slide.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0580.jpg

Before we went home – we played on this big swing.

Hi Mum,

I went to a little town near to Sülfeld today – Bad Oldesloe. The white building behind me is the town hall.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0673.jpg

This is the Stadthaus – but I don’t know what is inside the house.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0674.jpg

I loved this water wheel.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0681.jpg

We had a rest next to a small river.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0683.jpg

There were some old houses in the city – a nice place with a lot of flowers.

Hi Mum,

Today I went to Lübeck – a nice town in the North of Germany. They have really beautiful old houses here.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0691.jpg

This is the theatre of Lübeck.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0695.jpg

I loved the beautiful balcony of the town hall.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0702.jpg

These are views from the other side.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0706.jpg

I went to the river – and saw old storehouses.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0717.jpg

On the other side of the river are typical houses.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0727.jpg
The river was really nice.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0728.jpg

On the last photo you see the most famous building of the city – it is called Holstentor. Years ago it was on a bill of German money.

A new guest arrived today – it is Lorca. She showed the nice postcard that olgamaus created.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0748.jpg

Later we visited Dicker Kumpel’s Grandma. She had birthday this week – and this is one of her presents.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/G_0753.jpg

I really loved these wonderful flowers! I wanted to sit on one of them – but it was not so easy.

Today Dicker Kumpel came to me and the other TVs. He told me that he had a surprise for me.

I got something around my head – so I could not see anything.

I heard the other TVs around me. I was so excited!

http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb347/HoBi666/Rike/G_0842.jpg

Then the others were quiet.

Hello Mum,

We took a boat trip today – but it was a special trip. On this water channel the ships drove some parts without water – this was strange. On this postcard you can see how it works.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0202.jpg

This was our boat.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0139.jpg

This photo should show the nice nature – but maybe it was more important to see me!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0143.jpg

Behind me you can see our way over the hill.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0150.jpg

Our ship was on a wagon like this behind me.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0154.jpg

Here you see the moment, when we went onto the wagon.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0159.jpg

With the help of water and these wheels they moved the wagons.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0169.jpg

Hello Mum,

We started our day with another big red building. But this one was bigger. It is the Castle Malbork/Marienburg.  It is the biggest medieval fortress in Europe.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0208.jpg

It looked great!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0213.jpg

We went into the Castle and saw this nice altar or whatever it should be – I am not that good in religious things.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0218.jpg

This was another nice room.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0321.jpg

In the castle courtyard we met these 4 guys. They were important for the Malbork!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0225.jpg

After our visit we went to the other side of the river and had a wonderful view.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0232.jpg

Enough for the Castle – it was time for the seaside. We went to a place called Sopot. They have a very long pier there.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0239.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0244.jpg

Maybe I will be a pirate someday?

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0253.jpg

It was a hot and sunny day – so the people spent their time on the beach and in the water.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0255.jpg

Next to the beach there was a really big hotel - I would have loved to stay in it.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0328.jpg

It was a great day – and I think that maybe I completed one of my life missions – visiting a medieval Castle – what do you think, Mum?

Hello Mum,

Normally we had good weather here in Poland – but today it was not so good – fortunately we had no rain. Our city for today was Gdansk. Behind me you can see one of the town's landmark - the medieval port crane.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0265.jpg

We had a nice view over the river.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0270.jpg

There were many gates in Gdansk – I liked this one.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0274.jpg

This was inside the old city – this house is called  Artus' Court with the Neptune Fountain in front of it.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0281.jpg

Next to it there was the town hall.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0282.jpg

Our lunch was very delicious.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0288.jpg

Back on the road I saw another Gate.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0292.jpg

And this was the armory.

Hello Mum,

We visited this nice castle from the family Krockow

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0335_zpse45afa6d.jpg

I saw some nice rooms in the castle.

Hello Mum,

It was our last day in Poland – and we spent it in Gdansk again. Because the weather was much better, I wanted to have new photos of course.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/P_0406.jpg

This time we crossed the River and had a nice view. The medieval port crane looked much better in the sunshine.

Hello Mum,

We were back in Germany. Today it was time for a party. Dicker Kumpel came and invited Dottie Mouse for a party with dotted animals.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0070.jpg

Unfortunately only Murph and Clairchen had dots and were allowed to join Dottie Mouse.
Some other guys with dots came for Dottie.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0073.jpg

We others were a little sad, because we wanted to have a party, too. We went onto the back of Long Hippo and had a look.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0100.jpg

Back on our chair Dicker Kumpel had an idea.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0104.jpg

He found some stickers with dots.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0106.jpg

I look like a dotted dragon now.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0111.jpg

We were all ready.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0118.jpg

We went to Dottie and asked her, if we were allowed to join her party.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0122.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0120.jpg

She said yes – and we gave her a Thank-You-hug.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0124.jpg

Fortunately RikeH had more things to eat, so we all started our party together.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0125.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0131.jpg

Later Dicker Kumpel and Murph had a surprise for us – a wonderful firework.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0136.jpg

We decided that Murph started it – together with the help of a part of HoBi.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0139.jpg

If you have a closer look – you can see some blue parts in the air above us.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0142a.jpg

This was fun!

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0153.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0157.jpg

Back home on our party-table, we ate the rest of our dinner. Unfortunately we ate everything.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0161.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0168.jpg

Everything was empty – what should we do?

Well – I am in the home of Dicker Kumpel – and he knows how to party. We drank a delicious cocktail.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0179.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0182.jpg

It was yummy – Mum.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0195.jpg

Some hours later – no comment…

Hi Mum,

The weather was nice outside so we took a walk around Sülfeld. Behind me you can see the tree that Dicker Kumpel loves most.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0348.jpg

Look – we had sunshine – and talked a lot on this bench.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0349.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0350.jpg

The trees looked so wonderful and colorful.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0354.jpg

I thought about taking a bath – but didn’t do it, because the water was not so clean.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%2012a/R_0359.jpg

Back home we walked through this forest.

Hi Mooooooooommmmmmmmyyyyyyy,

it's me Druri!  :cyclops:
This Morning I arrived at Susie's (my new host) office.
While waiting for her to be done with work I counted the Disney Characters on her cup, looked out the window, had a talk with a little gnome, ate a cookie and got to "ride" a train. The time flew by.

In the evening we finally got to her house. I was greeted by two other Toyvoyagers. Karlos and Lancel.

I can't wait to see what all will happen here.  :D

Love you

Hey Moma,

this evening we were pretty busy. We helped host mum to prepare two packages that she is going to donate for Weihnachten im Schuhkarton/Geschenke der Hoffnung, Christmas in a shoebox/presents of hope(international name: operation christmaschild).
First we decorate the box with christmas wrappingpaper and stickers and put a label on it that shows that these packages are meant to go to a boy age 10-14 year. Than we filled it with all the stuff host mum bought for that. The first package: a sweater, gloves, toys, sweets and so on. The second one: a pencil case already filled with all kinds of pens, warm stockings, a cap and also sweets, toys and more.
Don't worry mum, after I checked that everything is in place I crawled back out and helped to put a rubber band around the package.
Next week Susie's mum will take them to a store where they collect the packages and will hand them over to the organisation.

Now I feel really good because I helped to do something good.  :cyclops:

Love you

Good evening Mama,

I gotta tell ya something.  :D
We were gone all weekend. Friday morning we drove to a town called Eltville which is right by the river Rhein (Rhine).
First thing we did when arrived was take a short walk around town and have lunch. Then we checked in our hotel. Which wasn't just any hotel! It was a 5* deluxe palace hotel.  :cyclops: Wow that was fancy!  It dosen't look to spectacular from the outside but on the inside it's just wooooooooow.  ;) We even got an upgarde to a suite with two bathrooms, a living room and a closet you could walk in. After discovering the "room" we went back to town for some more walking and Susie's and her mom pampered themself with a massage at a Spa.

And that was the first day of our little weekendtrip.

Love you

On saturday we planned on going hiking but it was raining like crazy so we had to change to indoor plans (museum and stuff).
But the museum was closed. Means we had to spent the day outside anyway. We drove to the small town of Rüdesheim which is famous with tourists from all over the world.
We strolled around and came by hostmums favorite store twice. It's called Käthe Wohlfahrt and sells christmas decoration all around the year.
In between the rain slowed down a little and we decided to take some kind of cable car sky train to the top of a small mountain where a famous Statue called Niederwalddenkmal is. Half way up there it got very foggy and we hardly couldn't see anything anymore. We took a quick look around and went back down.
On the way back to the hotel we stopped by so many different monasteries, churches, abbeys and what not (took pictures with two or three of them) that I forgot which is which.

And that was day two.  :D

Sunday morning we walked around the parc that surrounds the hotel and a bit along the river rhine. After we checked out from our suite we visited the monastery of Eberbach. It was founded in the 12th century.
In the years 1985-86 almost all shootings for the movie The Name of the Rose (with Sean Connery) were filmed here.

And now we are back at hostmums home.

Hope you had a nice weekend too.  :D

Servus Mama,

this morning I went to Bad Homburg with hostmum.
She wanted to show me the local castle (it was built in 1679-1686 by Earl Friedrich II.) On the way we came by two beautiful
churches. The first one is the Catholic church St. Marien (which is famous for it's bells and it's ringing) and the second one is the Protestant church called Erlöserkirche (built in 1903-1908).
Last but not least we visited the so called Laternenfestbrunnen (lanternsfestivalfountain). It is very important for Bad Homburg because every year there is Latersfestival (since 1935) and Laternsqueen is elected.
That was pretty interesting.

For now I say good Night.

Have sweet dreams.

And in the evening we got to go to Frankfurt/Main for a Sushi Dinner. Hmmmmm that was so yummy.  :D
To get there we took the train. At the central station we had some time to take a look around. After dinner we went for a walk and did a bit of sightseeing. We saw some skyscrapers and the old opera (which is one of the most beautiful buildings in all Frankfurt).

Have a nice weekend mom.

Guten Abend Mama,  :D

today we spent some time in Frankfurt/Main with hostmum. She met a friend and togehter we went to a Spa where they got a treatment. After that we walked along the river Main. To cross it we took the bridge called "Eiserner Steg" (iron bridge). The special thing about are the locks. Young couples put them up with their names engraved. It's a symbol of everlasting love.  :D
From there we came by a very famous sight of Frankfurt the Römer.
It's the building whose roof looks like stairs. On the square that is infront of the Römer building (and all the way to downtown Frankfurt) everything is already prepared for the Weihnachtsmarkt (which is one of those famous outside german christmas fairs) that will start tomorrow and last till christmas.

And even at the central station everything is already decorated.  :D

How was your weekend mum?

Miss you

Hallo Mami,

and again we were gone all day. We spent it with one of hostmum's friends and her kids and made christmas cookies all day. Lot's and lot's of them. :-)
When we got there were already cookies called Bethmännchen (made of marzipan and almonds) in the oven.
Then we made Schmalznüsse (an old and traditional recipe), Nougatkugeln(nougatballs) and Schokoladenmacarons (chocolate macarons).
I had lot of fun.

Hope you had a nice weekend too.

Hey Mommy,

look at that. Hostmum asked us if we would help her shine a pair of shoes. So we did and than put the shoes out the front door.
Susie said that we will get some kind of reward (for so) for that. But not today we have to wait till the morning.  :)
Hmmmmm what could that be about?
I'll tell you about it tomorrow.

Love you

Druri

PS Have I ever told you that my TV friend here is Lancel from germany?

Hey Mom,

do you remember the shoes we shined yesterday?
First thing we did this morning was checking on them.
And I couldn't belive my eyes. They where filled with lots of good stuff. Tea (with vanilla and almond flavor) some sweets and a mandarin.  :cyclops: We had the tea right away for breakfast. Hmmmmmm yummy.
Hostmum told us that the Nikolaus brought it.
The Nikolaus in Germany is pretty similar to the american Santa Claus (dressed in a red coat and wears a white beard). To some families he comes in person (usually the one with small children). The kids then have to sing a christmas song or say a poem and get sweets for that. And to some people the Nikolaus comes over night and leaves the sweets there (of course just if you shined your shoes and put them out the front door ;) )

She is now on her way to Switzerland.

To make sure I won't be to sad about it Susie's kept me busy all day. First we made spicy-cinnamon-cookies, then we worked on her december daily scrapbooking project, wrote a postcard and in the evening I took a bright shining green bubblebath.  :D
That was nice!  :D

Moooooooooommmmmmmmyyyyyy,

I got to travel around Germany again.  :cyclops:
Monday morning we took the highspeed ICE train to Erfurt (which is in the federal state of Thuringia). Once we got there we strolled around town all day. We saw lots of old, interesting, and colorful buildings. We took a tour around town with some kind of a small, electric train, visited the cathedral and in the evening finally reached the Weihnachtsmarkt/ christmas fair (what we came here for).
Since we stayed over night we had the chance to see more of Erfurt Tuesday morning. So we visited the fortress Petersberg and had an amazing view over Erfurt.
After that we traveled on (more about that soon).

After visiting the fortress Petersberg in Erfurt Tuesday morning we traveled on to Eisenach (which is also in the federal state of Thuringia). There we got to see a worldfamous sight.  :cyclops:
The Wartburg (it's an UNESCO world heritage)! From 1211 till 1227 the holy St. Elisabeth (lots of hospitals are named after her because see dedicated her life to the poor and sick) lived here and in 1521/1522 Martin Luther (he translated the new Testament in only 11 weeks).
We took a tour with a guide and got to see some of the inside of the castle that way. That was very interesting.  :D
But it was so cold there! Brrrrrr.....

Wow, I am pretty busy these days.  :D
Cause yesterday we were gone again.
This time we visited Aschaffenburg in Bavaria. First hostmum showed me the local castle named Johannisburg. Then I took a closer look a everything that can be bought at the Weihnachtsmarkt. After that we strolled around town some more.
That was nice.  :D

Send you a hug

Hi Mummy,

we baked some more.  :D
Yesterday we made Candy Cane Cookies.
First we had to melt chocolate and butter, stirred in flour, sugar, eggs, baking soda and some cocoa and then added chopped candy canes. We placed the dough on a baking sheet, put some more candy cane chunks on top and than baked it.

The cookies are pretty sweet.  ;)

We really had a lot (more) to do today.
In the morning we prepare the dough for a cake that had to go to the fridge for a while. Than we "packed" the cookies which host mum took to a christmas luch with friends.
When she came back in the afternoon we finished the cake, wrapped christmas presents, and also prepare the ham for tomorrow. Hmmmmm now it smells so good.  :D

Yesterday we spent all day at one of hostmums friends house.
For lunch we had chestnutsoup and fresh rolls and our selfmade cinnamon icecream and for dinner we enjoyed pizza.
In between _Lilly_ and me got to play with little C. and all his new toys he got for christmas. That was fun.  :D

I even got a christmas present from hosthum. :cyclops: It is a pack of good good chocolate. Or let's better say it was. Cause by now it's already all gone.  ;)

Hi mom,

today we were shopping on the farmers market in the town of Hanau.
Hanau is the town were the brothers Grimm were born (you can see the statue of them in one of the pictures).
We were quit in a hurry and didn't had too much time to take photos.

Love

Hi Mommy,

the weather was pretty mixed up yesterday (strong wind, lots of clouds, grey sky, a bit of rain and a bit of sunshine) but hostmum decided anyway that it is time to do some walking. Cause  we haven't been outside in quite a while (besides the few minutes on the farmer market saturday). So we took the train to Frankurt/Main and just strolled around town. Somewhen we came by the area of Frankfurt fair. It's where the skyscraper with the triangle on top is.
The building with the gold colored balconys is the so called Festhalle or "Gudd Stubb". It's an event/concert hall for more than 10.000 people.

What are your plans for tonight? Are you going to a party?  :D

I wish you a "Guten Rutsch" (it is a german saying).

Happy new year Mommy!  :cyclops:
How was your new years eve? Hope you had a great time.  :cyclops:
We had a rather smoothe evening.
Yesterday morning we helped hostmum to make cheesrolls which we took to a friends house in the evening.  For dinner we had very jummy pasta, then we played some Playstation, wachted TV (Dinner for one and the Countdown live from Berlin).
At midnight we even got to have a sip of champagne.  :D
Then we went outside, wachted all the rockets in the sky and had a little firework ourself.
I really liked all the sparkels. Yeah.  :D

I wish you all the best for 2013.

Hi Mama,

just wanna let you know that I'm on my way to my next host in England.
This morning I said goodbye to my friend _Lilly_ and my  dear host mum. I crawled in my envelope and then they brought me to the post office.

Good bye Germany and hello England.  :cyclops:

Druri is LOST  :(

Druri's envelope arrived in England, but the envelope was damaged in mail, and Druri ever didn't manage to arrive to his next host... Druri is lost somewhere between Germany and England.

This is sad news, but I really hope that wherever Druri is now, I hope he enjoys his toyvoyager life.
I hope someone nice person will find Druri and contact me through this website...

!!!
Dear someone,

:(  :(  :(

Hello, this is Edelweiss speaking. I am updating Druri's travelog as something horrible has happened. Myself and Sienna excitedly went to find the post when we heard it arrive; we thought Druri was here just in time to come with us to university. But then when we saw the envelope was flat we knew something was very wrong. And then I saw the rip in the side :o Druri must have fallen out somewhere between Germany and England. I started to cry and I found it too sad to look at the postcard that was still left in the envelope. The last host had sent a nice message which Sienna read out. Poor poor Druri. He looked around my size too, I am sure we would have been good friends :(

If you are out there Druri, please find your way back!!!
