Hello everyone!

My name is Suomi-girl. As you can see, I'm blue and white coloured. It's the colours of my homecountry, Finland. And guess what? My name is related to my homecountry, too. "Suomi" means Finland in Finnish language. Isn't that cool?

I'm so exited, because mommy said I could be a ToyVoyager and travel in different places and countries.
I want to see everything in the World (oh my... it's a big plan!).

I have a brother. His name is Suomi-boy (take a look at the picture!). He is also a ToyVoyager! :)

I'm ready for my first adventure. Just can't wait to start my first journey...

Hugs,
Suomi-girl

Hi!

It's my last day at home, so I wanted to have a party.
We toys were having a Tea Party, and it was fun! :)

After the party, I watched some pictures of Germany. It's the country, where I'm going in my very first journey. :)

Kurnau said goodbye to me. And then all others were saying it, too.
I'm happy, because my brother Suomi-boy can start his very first journey in the same day as me. He will go to visit in USA.

Then I climbed into my envelope, and I noticed there's soooo dark inside. I really hope my journey will be safe and fast.

Hugs,
Suomi-girl

http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Suomi-Girl/DSCN0579.JPG

After a few minutes she called for Feru and Thorin to welcome me.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0489.JPG
Thorin is so nice he hold me in his arms at the first time.

Hi mum!
It was warm outside and we come along with Mandrara to take her kids home from the childhood.
Our journey startet at the letterbox where Mandrara found a new envelope. At a playground near by the kindergarden Mandrara gave thorin the envelope to welcome the new guest! Drashuven comes form GB as Rosalind aswell and he is a dragonfly. How funny a dragonfly visits dragons!!!
But we all welcomed him and then we entered the childhood.

Hello again

oh its so warm here. But Imodra and Mandrara had an idea. We went to Mandraras parents they have a wonderfull garden and in there we found a pool for children!
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0677.JPG
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0676.JPG
But first we went to a towel where some lemmon cake and limo was served for us!
And Imodra chilled meanwhile because she loved to go out and she took the time to read a book.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0680.JPG
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0684.JPG
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0679.JPG
That was nice and then we decided to do a little sport and run through the tunnel. Imodra said later that we all had the same time. but i think she wouldn't decide to favour one of us.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0689.JPG
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/Tunnelkriechen.jpg
Then we all took place on the deckchair and waited the BBQ to become ready and meanwhile we staid cool at the pool.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0695.JPG

http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0705.JPG
And imagine oh mist we missed the BBQ because it was to genial to stay at the cool pool. And then we needed to go home it was a fantastic day here and i hope we can come back is the days will be so warm again!
But... see how we leave Mandraras parents but they said it is ok!

What a day.
Hallo mum, today Mandrara decided to visit the „Wittener Streichelzoo“ in englisch it’s called petting zoo. After collecting her kids from the kindergarden we went there.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0788.JPG
It was nice we saw goats, guinea pigs, little rabbits, Deers and wild boars. We feed them, the guinea pigs, little rabbits goats and deers I meen. The wild goars were a little bit scary to me!

http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0846.JPG
And then we found something strange. There was a “Schnullerbaum” near by a Kindergarden.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/Imodra/DSCN0842.JPG
There the kids leave their comforter if they don’t need them anymore. At the end it got a little bit windy and cold and we all were happy to stay at home again.

Hallo Mum,

this weekend Mandrara had to work. She offers jewelery in silver and bronze in Celtic Style on medieval markets. She took us with her and we could visit her tent and others.

Here you can see us watching her goods she is offering.
http://imodra.com/galerie/img.php?mode=tv&pic=../galerie/Galerien/MA_Markt_September_2012/DSCN0999.JPG
Watching out of her Tent we could see a bakery, making bread in a way it was traditional in the medieval.
Then we visited Petra she offers soaps and she mad them!!! I think this is very WOW!

Hello Mummy

sorry that I'm not as long reported.
I'm fine.
Today we got a new girlfriend.
Her name is Reika.

She is very nice and also had the same idea for ToyVoyagers without Traveltag.

Then she went out first and has viewed the waterfront.

Here it's snowing.

Here it is very funny but I miss you.

love you

Dear Mommy,

I´m so sorry for my late upload. Host mommy had some problems with her internet access. But I saw already some great places in Berlin.

But first see here some photos of my arrival. Can you believe it?! Host mommy has a blue-white striped sofa. And I can sit everywhere I want. hehe It is so funny. I even can jump from the top of the sofa to the seat.

For my welcome host mommy bought me a very big Knoppers Box and as you can see it is blue and white.

Kisses to you....

Greetings to Finland,

Dear Mommy,

today we did just a small trip to Friedrichshain. It was soooooo cold! You can see me in front of the Frankfurt Gate.

The building is very imposing, because it is very big. Can you see the dome? From time to time there is a gallery with pictures and sculptures. Unfortunately we had no time to go up. :(

Greetings dear mommy.  :D

Hello Mommy,

I had a bad hair day today.  :( It was so windy that I couldn´t manage my hair and so my photos doesn´t look very well.

We were at the "Alex" today and you can see me in front of the Television Tower and the World Clock. See even Helsinki is noticed there. You can see the time of almost all places in the world. Even if you are far away from home you know how the time is there. Isn´t great?!

Two other photos show me with the Fountain of peoples' Friendship. It´s a famous meeting point for tourists and the youth during the summer months. But today?! Snow! I´m not sure if you can see it on the photos.
Still no spring in Berlin and I thought that it is a bit more brighten in Germany then in Finland... but no. Grey in grey all the days. But don´t worry mommy I´m fine and doing very well.

The next photos coming soon.

Greetings and a big kiss.

Hey Mommy,

how are you doing? I hope you are fine. I´m doing very well here in Berlin. Today I helped host mommy with her job. Because we are going on holiday on Saturday and so I supported her a bit. We had to put some content on her webpage. : ) During our lunch we had some healthy apples and some café. And look out of the window. Isn´t it a great view??? Your can see the St. Nicholas' Church in Potsdam and a very small part of the Garrison Church (in front).

On Saturday we will go to the Baltic Sea. I heard that there is a butterfly farm and I really hope that we can find time to go there. This would be such a great thing. But we will see. I guess that host mommy is doing her best to arrange it. :D

Greeetings to you my dear mommy.

P.S. Finally we have the first sunny days here. Yeah!!! It´s getting spring.  B)

Dear Mommy,

today we were going to the Baltic Sea (Island Usedom). :) I´m very exited about the journey and how it will be at the sea.

Host mommy told me a lot about Heringsdorf, because she travels there every year for some days.

At the photos you can see me at home and in the train. We had a small stop at host mommy´s hometown Eberswalde. :) Can you see it?

The countryside was very nice and I saw some cranes and deers. When the sea was getting nearer I saw seagulls also. I think you can see them as the photos as well.

The weather was very good, the sun was shining and it wasn´t to cold. So we hoped that it´s going to be good for the whole stay.
And you won´t believe it. At the island they have blue white trains. YEAH mommy that are my colours.  B)

So dear mommy I will write you tomorrow again.

Kisses to you.

Hello Mommy,

we already have the next day. We couldn´t do more photos yesterday, because we were tired after the long trip.

You can see me in my small TV bed in the hotel. And we were a bit shocked after looking out of the window. SNOW!  :o And a lot of it. Even higher then I am.

After my snow bath host mommy put me into a warm towel. In the afternoon we tried to go out, but it was sooooo windy. So we decided to go to the sauna and pool area the rest of the day.  :D

Tomorrow is the big day mommy. We are going to the Butterfly farm.  :cyclops:

Hello my dear mommy,

today was our last day and we had luck with the weather today. The sun was shining, but it was a bit cold nevertheless.

We saw big houses, villas and the beach. Great!

Host mommy told me today that I can stay with her as long as I want. This is cool dear mommy. Thank you that you allow me that. Because it is getting spring in Berlin I hope to see more interesting places.

Of course I will let you as soon as possible when I want to get back home. :)

Happy Easter dear mommy. :)

Is everything fine at home? I hope so.
Today is Good Friday and host mommy is going to the sea again and takes me with her. Each year at Easter she travels to the sea for one day with her parents. This is a nice tradition I think. But - the weather was not very good and so we took just some few photos.

I´m still fine here in Berlin, but from time to time I feel a bit homesick. :( I miss you mommy. And I think that I will come back home soon. I still hope to have some sunny days here to make some more great photos, but the forecasts are not so good. So we will see. But I will let you know as soon as possible when I know my travel dates.

But first see these great Easter photos. Yummy chocolate. ;) I found my Easter Egg very fast. hehe :D

Hello dear mommy,

as I wrote you already via email it was sooo busy the last time, so that we hadn´t time to take some photos. We are so sorry!!! Really.

But some days ago we visited the Gardens of the world in Berlin. It was an amazing day and the weather was perfect. The Gardens of the world are located in Berlin Marzahn and it took us 1 hour to go there. But it was worth. :) I really liked the trip. You can see different kind of garding traditions and you can feel like on holiday.

The first garden we saw was the Italian Renaissance Garden. This garden was opened in 2008.  Can you see the high house in the bakground of one of the photos? It´s a crazy contrast. Isn´t?!

After the Renaissance Garden we arrived the Labyrinth. How exciting. But we did it and reached the center point. The evidence are the photos from top of the viewing point.  :cyclops:

Mareikingowicz

Posted Jun 29, 2013, 3:55 pm
The next garden we visited was the Chinese Garden - it was the biggest garden and for me the most impressive. Everything was so well decorated and liked it very much to go there arround. I did a small break in the shadow to refuel some energy, because the walking was a bit exhausting.

Mareikingowicz

Posted Jun 29, 2013, 4:12 pm
The Christian Garden was one of the smallest, but the shadow play was sooo beautiful. Can you see this mommy?

In the Gardens of the world you can see a lot of Asian Garden Cultures and so the owners thought about an European Garden too. And so they created the Chrsitian Garden. The letters you can see are words and sentences from the Old and New Testament. It´s a good idea. :D

After that our way brought us to the Japanese Garden also called as the "Garden of Merging Water". The garden sent out a big silence, because everything was so clean and straight. The initiation was in 2003 and Berlin was supported by the Japanese Embassy for finance the project. Especially the Zen Garden I liked.
Mareikingowicz

Posted Jun 29, 2013, 4:42 pm
Another Asian Garden was the Seouler Garden. Here we could see a typical pavillion and some sculptures too.

The last Asian Garden was the Balinese Garden. The plants need a special climate and so the garden was in a small tropical house. It was so hot mommy you won´t believe it. I began to sweat immediately. Puhhh. But the Balinese houses and the plants were so great. Can you see the big black flower? Isn´t amazing?

At the end of a wonderful sunny day we visited the Oriental Garden. There we saw some fountains and some lemon trees as well as other fruits and vegetables. Yummy. But I couldn´t steal something because it looks so great.

So mommy, as you know I will come to you very soon. I´m not sure yet if we can take some more photos in Berlin. We will see.
My dear mommy it was such a long time away from home and I miss you very much. I can´t await it. I will let you know as soon as I´m on the way.

Kisses to you.

Hello mommy,

this will be my last update before I´m coming back home. :)
And so host mommy and I took a boat tour through Berlin. It was very sunny and hot and the photos are great. As I think.

The City Boats tour was a good way to see different parts of Berlin.
I will split the posts so that you have a better overview about my explanations and the photos.

The tour starts at the Berlin Cathedral and you can see the TV Tower, the Cathedral and the Nikolai Quater. The Nikolai Quater is one of the oldest in Berlin and it was refurbished during the 1980. The oldest parts of the church are from the 1230. Isn´t old? WOW!!!

After that we saw a part of the Museum Island with the Pergamon, Bode Museum and the Gallery.

Mareikingowicz

Posted Jul 25, 2013, 7:03 am
On the next photos you can see and old building used as a restaurant. The name is "Staendige Vertretung".
Then we reached the German Bundestag and the Bundes Kanzleramt where Angela Merkel works.

Furthermore you can see the new Main Station in Berlin (the two photos with the cranes).

Mareikingowicz

Posted Jul 25, 2013, 7:20 am
After a while we reached the eastern part of Berlin.

There we saw old houses combined with new and modern elements, we saw the East Side Gallery with the Berlin Wall, a Hostel at the Spree. :D Isn´t cool? A hostel ship? Funny.

And the big O2 World is used as a concert hall and for many sport events like basketball and ice hockey. Around 17.000 visitors are able to take a seat. BIG!  B)

The bridge is called Oberbaum Bridge and is connecting the east part Friedrichshain and the west part Kreuzberg. In the early history of the city Berlin it was a kind of a city gate where forgeiners have to pay entry fees to coming into Berlin.

The next photos show you the new Media Spree where several TV Channels have the offices.
And at the last photos you can see the Molecule Man. The Sculpture is 30 m high and has 45 tonnes. The three mens symolizing the three Berlin quater Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg and Treptow. They are meeting at this point.

So mommy now the time is coming that I will start my journey back home.
I had a lot of fun in Berlin, but I missed you much and I´m happy to be at home very soon.
Today afternoon I will be on the post office.

Kisses to you and see you soon.
Yours Suomi Girl.  :D

Hello mommy!

I feel a bit lonely  :( Emjay and the other TV's have gone to Greece. I had to stay behind to look after Emjay's cats. I love cats, so that's no problem. But I really love to go to Greece too... I have a little plan... :p
By the way, this is Keiko, one of the cats I have to take care of. She's camping in the garden.

Hei äti!

I was bored staying at home with Emjay's cats. It was raining all the time and the cats were asleep. But then I got an idea! What if I asked the neighbour to take care of the cats and mail myself to Greece? Emjay's neighbour is a nice lady and she said "yes". She even helped me to get into an envelope and she send me off. After a week or so, I could feel the sun. Yippee!!! I'm there!!!

So in the evening we held a skiing match!

Hei äti!

Today is another special day. We're visiting the Meteora area. There are high rock peaks and on some peaks monasteries were build, a long, long time ago. How could people do that?
Until about 50 years ago you couldn't even visit the monasteries. Well, only if you were pulled up in a net! Nowadays there's a footpath. Although I don't mind being pulled up! I'm not scared at all  :p
Emjay

At Cape Lefkata there's a lighthouse. According to mythology this was also the place of Apollo's temple. People used to jump from the rock into the sea, if they were lovesick. It was also a punnishment for unfaithful wifes.  :o

Dear mum!

We had a nice surprise today! A package arrived and we thought it was another TV! But it was a present from Cuty, who has been staying with Eophippus in Finland.
He send us a lollipop, a fridge magnet, a hanger and some Finnish liquorice.
Emjay ate the lollipop right away! It tasted like pear. We ate the liquorice. It reminded me of home!
Dutchy thought he looked just like the hanger!

We had a fun afternoon, while it was raining outside!
Thanks for your gifts, Cuty!

Bye, mum!

We visited a lovely lady, who is originally from France. She's Emjay's mother-in-law. We met her cute teddybears and a few of her beautiful dolls.

I took out my braids, otherwise my hair will curl and I don't like that!

The mist had left tiny drops on all cobwebs in Emjay's garden. It looked like an enchanted forrest! You know I'm a brave little girl and I'm not afraid of spiders at all!

Some cobwebs looked like hammocks. I tested one of them, but it couldn't hold me.

This used to be the cattle market, where cows, pigs and sheep where sold. Nowadays the square is surrounded by pubs and restaurants and you can sit on one of the terraces. In the winter there's an icerink at the square.
This statue of a colourful cow is a reminder of the cattle market.

Hi mum!

Today was an exciting day! St. Nikolas came to The Netherlands, with his helpers! In The Netherlands children don't get presents from Santa, but from St. Nikolas. His birthday is on December 6. The day before he gives presents to children and adults as well!
In the weeks before, children are allowed to put their shoes in front of the fireplace. At night St. Nikolas' helper, called Pete, climbs down the chimney and puts a little surprise in each shoe.
We want to try that too!
Emjay doesn't have a fireplace, so we put our shoes in front of the central heating and we sing a special St. Nikolas' song.
Emjay

Posted Nov 18, 2013, 7:30 pm
Next day we look in our shoes, but... there was nothing in it  :(
Than Poschti discovered a little bag behind us with the images of St. Nikolas and Pete. He dived into it. Oh look, there are our presents! They were simply to big to put them in our tiny shoes!
Emjay

Hi mum!

Today I'll show you some art! This is a classy lady, don't you think?
Emjay

Posted Feb 3, 2014, 8:02 am
This art was made by Emjay's friend Anna. She used to make ceramics, but she doesn't have time anymore. She is an architect and a journalist as well!
Emjay

Posted Feb 3, 2014, 8:03 am
This miniature was made by Doreen Pritchard in the image of Emjay's former cats. They have all died from old age, so this is a lovely memory.
Emjay

Posted Feb 3, 2014, 8:04 am
And this is a painting by B. Long. It looks kind of native American.
Emjay

Posted Feb 3, 2014, 8:12 am
This is a painting by Baude of a lavender field in the Provence (France). I love the bright colours!
Emjay

Posted Feb 3, 2014, 8:13 am
Well, I don't think you can call this art, but I like it!
Emjay

Posted Feb 3, 2014, 8:14 am

Hi mum!

Today I'll show you some parts of Delft I haven't been before. This is a new bridge.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:24 am
This used to be the Army Museum, but they've moved out. The inhabitants of Delft can make suggestions about what to do with the building. There where a few good ideas published in the local newspaper the other day. One of the ideas was to turn it into a multi purpose building, with shops, appartments and a startingpoint for the roundtrip boats.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:25 am
This is the small harbor of Delft.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:26 am
This is the Maria van Jesse church. I have seen it once from above, when we had climbed the tower of the New Church. It is hard to take a picture of it, because it is surrounded by houses.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:27 am
This is a sculpture of the Milkmaid, after the painting of Vermeer. It stands in the garden of the New Church.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:29 am
The New Church is being renovated. They've put up panels with painting of the history of the church to cover the buildingsite.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:31 am
This is the heart of Delft and off course it's blue! Just like the Delft Blue souvenirs in the shop.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:32 am

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:37 am
This is the house of a friend of Emjay. Remarkable, isn't it? It is a house as well as a dance and music studio.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:44 am
This is what is called "De Spoorzone" (The Railway Zone). It's a gigant building site. The trainstation will go underground in a couple of years time. Until than, this part of Delft doesn't look very attractive.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:45 am
Well, this picture of blue tullips brightens it up a bit!  :D
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:46 am
We're in the apartmentbuilding of Emjay mother-in-law. She has a great view over Delft.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:48 am
Emjay lives where the arrow is pointing. You can't actually see the house, because it's behind some trees.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:49 am
At the other side of the apartmentbuilding you can see as far as Hook of Holland.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:52 am
Here is an undiscovered part of Delft. Here used to be the Karthuizer Convent. The monks lived like hermits and were not allowed to speak. Nowadays you can only see the outlines.
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:52 am
Look, spring is coming!
Emjay

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:58 am

Hi mum!

Today Tigerlily and me went to Rotterdam. I've been there last week, so I could tell her something about the city. We visited another part of the city though.
Here you can see some interesting architecture. The building in the middle is the library.
Emjay

Posted Feb 8, 2014, 3:07 pm
As you can see these are the cubical houses. Emjay visited one once. She says the rooms look normal, but there's limited space.
Emjay

Posted Feb 8, 2014, 3:08 pm
This is the library. Emjay wants to borrow sheetmusic for her singing workshop.
Emjay

Posted Feb 8, 2014, 3:09 pm
This is the music department. We have a nice view from here, on the fourth floor.
Emjay

Posted Feb 8, 2014, 3:10 pm
Oh dear, my hair is a mess! Anyway, behind me you can see the Laurens church.
Emjay

Posted Feb 8, 2014, 3:11 pm
We came across a nicely decorated van and a streetname referring to Delft.
Emjay

Posted Feb 8, 2014, 3:13 pm
This is the statue of Erasmus, a very clever scolar from Rotterdam, born in the 15th century. The city's university is named after him.
Emjay

Posted Feb 8, 2014, 3:14 pm
And this is the Laurens Church again. You can see the weather wasn't very Sunny! Never mind, I had a nice day with my new friend!

Hi mum!

The weather was bad today. So we stayed in and watched the Olympic Games. There was a lot of skating going on. Ireen Wüst, a Dutch lady skater, won! Tigerlily and me waved our Dutch flags. The king and queen of the Netherlands are also cheering.
Emjay

Posted Feb 10, 2014, 12:38 pm

Hi mum!

There are still parts of Delft I haven't discovered yet! Here I am near the Oostpoort (East Gate). A lot of houseboats are moored in the canal. Delft has only two canals where houseboats are allowed to stay.
Emjay

Posted Feb 20, 2014, 1:57 pm
Here we are at the Oostpoort. It is the only gate left of four city gates. It has become a symbol for Delft and Emjay uses the image as profile picture.

Agnetapark is an area of workers' housing for the workers of the Yeast Factory. It was built in the late 19th century by order of Jacques van Marken. He and his wife Agneta were remarkable people who treated the workers and their families with respect.
This used to be a theatre, now it's a restaurant.

Today is a special day in the Netherlands. It's Remembrance Day for victims of the second World War.
This is a small statue in Emjay's neighbourhood, dedicated to people in the resistance.

Later on we watch the Remembrance ceremony at Dam Square in Amsterdam on tv. A lot of people turned up.
Emjay

Posted May 5, 2014, 11:42 am
As part of the ceremony some people place wreaths at the foot of the War Monument. It was impressive.

It's another important day: Liberty Day! That's the day Dutch people celebrate the ending of World War II. It's only celebrated once in every 5 years. What a pitty! But still Emjay has a day off and a lot of people hang out a flag.

We go for a walk to Emjay's old neighbourhood.

I bet you think this is a real bale of hay. But it's made of concrete!

We stop at a viewpoint and take a look at the view.

This is Emjay's old street: Pelikaansingel (= Pelican Alley). Scoop is very proud. He thinks it's named after him!

Hi mum!

We watched tv all night to see Eurovision Song Contest! I cheered for the Finnish band, off course. Oh, the singer is such a hunk  ;)

Too bad, Finland didn't win. Conchita from Austria did with an unusual act. The Netherlands were runners up. Good for them!

It's Mothers' Day today. So...
HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY, MUM!
We went to a nice biological restaurant with Emjay's mum and mum-in-law. What a great food! Wish you could have been there!

Bye, mum! Luv you!

Hi mum!

I've been in the Netherlands for quite some time now. I've seen a lot, done a lot and I've been on holiday twice! So maybe it's time for me to come home... Besides, I miss you and my brother!
I know the plan was to go to Iran. But I can do that later this year.
When I told my plan to Emjay, she immediately prepaired a suprise for me. Isn't that great? So we went to...

A museum called Royal Delft Experience! Here you can see Delft Blue pottery and you can watch how it's being made!
This sign is on the bottom of every authentic Delft Blue piece. So you know you got the real stuff.

This is the famous tulip vase. Tulips used to be very expensive, so people couldn't effort to buy a whole bouquet. They just bought a few tulips and put them in a vase like this one, so it would look attractive.

This is the royal section. I get to meet Willem van Oranje (an anchester of King Willem Alexander), former Queen Beatrix and I get close with the king!
Emjay

Posted May 15, 2014, 3:37 pm
Here's Willem van Oranje once more.

This is a dress made from Delft Blue. Must be heavy!
And some nice 'wooden shoes' to go with it!

This is the most impressive piece of the collection: Rembrandt's Nightwatch made of Delft Blue tiles! I think it's wonderful!

This is the factory. Here you can see how Delft Blue is made: first it's just a dull, white vase of clay. Then it gets painted with black paint. But after baking in the oven it turns out blue!

Mooooh, I'm Delft Blue!

We're in the museumshop. I wanted to buy eveything! It was very expensive, though... So I only bought a pen for you  ;)

Well, it was a perfect day. A perfect ending to my stay in Delft. And... I achieved a life mission: to visit a museum! I'm happy  :D :D :D

Bye, mum! See you soon!

Goodmorning, mum!

This was the last time I slept in my little cot at Emjay's place. I'm going home today!

My friends had a surprise for me: they covered me with chocolates!
Later on we ate them all, off course  ;)

Emjay says goodbye to me. She says she'll miss my smiling face. I'll miss her too... I was in good hands with her!
