Good morning all of you!

On last week my new mom saved me from a gift shop. It was a terrible place, I was in the same box with 20 bears! I was the only fox left.

But now I'm in a good place. Still I hope I can start travelling soon, I want to see so many places as possible! My dream is to be some day a international gentleman, who has friends all over the world, tasted all kind of foods and seen gorgeous fox ladies.

Maybe we will meet soon!

Yesterday I met lots of ToyVoyagers in postcrossing meeting! Now I'm waiting forward my first trip, I hope it will come soon!

Yaaaaaay! Today I will start my trip, and it will be a long trip, because my first host lives in Japan! I hope everything goes well and I will be soon there : )
PieksiHH left today too, so me and Nils organized a good-bye party for him on the weekend. Now Nils is sleeping so I will leave like a fox, quietly and imperceptibly. Maybe I will leave a note for him, I will anyway miss him.

Japan, here I come! (Uhh, I forget that I should behave like a gentleman)

I've just arrived in Japan.
Mr Wilson arrived the same day. We said hello and soon became friends.
;) ;) ;)

P.S. The cute kitten is coming from neighbor's house, and wants to play together  :D

Takamatsu-city faces the Seto Inland Sea which contains more than 2000 islands.
It's very calm water.
Near the coast there is a shrine. Here's a picture of Komainu, the guardian of shrine gate. It's an
"imaginary" animal.

Without a doubt, Chinese food is one of the most popular international cuisines in the world. Here in Japan, there are many Chinese restaurants and we can eat good lunch in a reasonable price.
:D :D :D

I'm standing on the top of the mountain between 2 cities, Takamatsu and Sakaide. It's an amazing view of the Seto Inland Sea. Can you see the Seto Ohashi Bridge across the sea?
In mountain I saw a very strange statue of Ushi-Oni. It is a creature which appears in the folklore of Japan. :o

The old photo studio, the location of the scenes in the movie "Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World"
Hi Mummy!
We drove to the neighbor town Aji. This old photo studio was used a location in the movie. People in love visit here as a "holy" place :)
I hope to watch this movie.
:D  :D :D
I'm enjoying here.

Hi Mummy,
What is your image of Japan?  :)
This is Ritsurin Garden, a typical Japanese garden. It is located in the center of the city, among the modern buildings.
For 228 years long since 1642, the Matsudaira family, the Federal Lord of Takamatsu owned and maintained the garden. Today the garden is open to public.
Let's walk along with me.
;) ;) ;)

Shodo-shima - Shodo Island
Shodo-shima is located north of Takamatsu, the capital city of Kagawa prefecture. The ferry boat took us here from Takamatsu port. It was about one hour trip.
Now I stand on the highest place in the island. This area is called Kankakei, if it's November we can see the beautiful autumn color.
On the way to the rest house from the peak of the mountain, we came across a group of wild Japanese monkeys!!!
I was surprised :o  :o :o :o :o :o

Takamatsu Castle
This castle is also called Tamamo Castle. Exactly Takamatsu (Tamamo) Castle Ruins. Main tower doesn't exist today. A few buildings still remain in the Japanese Garden.
There is the Sea over the road. The sea water is brought into the castle-moats.

Saburo-ike, The pond where the dragon lives in
Legend has it that the guardian of this pond is a large snake.
In Japan dragons and snakes are often worshiped as a deity of water.
They call clouds and shower benefits upon fields. Japanese folklore.
See the map. The shape of Japan looks like the dragon climbing the sky.

Christmas is coming :)
In Japan Christmas is not a holiday and just a commercial event for most people. However, they enjoy it, decorating trees, preparing presents for families and friends.
Today in the center of the shopping mall, the big decorated tree appeared.

Otsuka Museum of Art
The world's first collection of Ceramic-Board Reproduction of Masterpaintings.

Now I'm not in the Sistine Chapel, Rome. The room is an authentic-looking reproductions of the Sistine Chapel's art works. This is one of the exhibits in this museum. These are not original paintings.  They are ceramic works using a special manufacturing technique. Visitors can see over 1000 full-size ceramic reproductions of major works of art. The works are transfer-printed from photographs before being fired and retouched.
Of course I enjoyed reproductions of great paintings in the modern ages.

Traditionally, FinnFest USA celebrations offer speakers and attendees a chance to share with one another their expertise and interests through lectures, workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, and more. It also gives people outside of the ethnic community the opportunity to learn about their Finnish neighbors. From genealogy to weaving, music to sports, and education forums to technology, FinnFest USA explores it all! A chance for Finns worldwide to connect with your family and friends at numerous private family and community group reunions, with fellow Finns from their own backyard, from across the country, or across the ocean, with their heritage in America, and with modern Finland!
Hop, Miche and Mister Spike weren’t lucky enough to come to FinnFest with us. Chloe brought me to FinnFest because I’m from Finland and figured I missed my country so had to check out what there was!

War Exhibit next!!! Whohoo!!

We got the honor of going to Sauna night at Chloe’s aunt and uncles place in Humboldt, Michigan. We also ate a Pasty!!
PASTY (Pass-Tee) { A hearty meal of choice cuts of beef, potatoes, onions and rutabagas seasoned and wrapped in our signature tender, homemade crust. }
A sauna (SOW-na) is a room with a hot stove or coals that are heated by water to create a nice hot steamy room. It is a Finnish tradition to have saunas. It was very interesting and quite warm!
Hop, Mister Spike, Kitsune, Mr. Scrapes, Bullseye, Juulia and I had a blast taking in the sauna. =)
