Knuddelhexe Posted Aug 2, 2012, 9:18 am	This is me. I am at home with some of my friends watching TV. My friends are: Mr. Popples (the big pink one), Junior (the little purple one, son of Mr. Popples), Lady Bird (the bird XD), Starchild (the little blue one) and Brownie (the Dog). Brownie always look a little bit sad because his owner died a long time ago. It was the grandmother from my mom. He is one of the things her grandmother left her. Today my mom and her human children go to the cinema and she would take me with her to show me my hometown and the castle of Nuremberg. I bring some photos to show it to you.
Knuddelhexe Posted Aug 2, 2012, 9:28 am	Thats me, helping my mom with her homework. She will become a confectioner. These ornaments are drawings for petit fours. Petit Fours are some very small cakes with chocolat or marzipan. Very delicious.

Knuddelhexe Posted Aug 2, 2012, 4:50 pm	Photo # 1 : Here i wait with my family in the foyer of the cinema. Drinking some Coke and eating some popcorn. Yummy. We'll watchin Merida 3D. I'm so excited. Thats my first visit at the cinema. Photo # 2 : Thats great. Its a little bit dark but i am dont afraid. Sitting here in my popcorn bath  and waiting till the film starts (btw...the film was great. Sometimes we're laughing  and at the end my mom was crying a little )
Knuddelhexe Posted Aug 2, 2012, 8:27 pm	We went from the cinema across the marketplace to the castle of Nuremberg. At the marketplace you'll find the"schönen Brunnen" (it means beautyful fountain). A legend says that the smith who made the fence around the fountain had a beautyful daughter. The boy who learned the job by the smith, loved the girl. The boy asked the smith if he could marry her, but the smith sayd no. In this night the boy made a golden ring an put it into the fence, after that he went away and noone have seen him again. At the next morning the smith saw the ring and he sayd that is a wonder because you dont saw where the boy puts the ends together. Now the smith was very sad. Today, the legend says, when you circle the ring three times, a wish comes true.
Knuddelhexe Posted Aug 2, 2012, 8:39 pm	Now we are at the castle. On one of the pictures you see the nice view over Nuremberg. Another one is in front of the castle, it shows the "Sinwell Turm". The next picture Shows another Legend. A bad guy in medievil times, called Eppelein, was catched. They want to kill him. His last wish was a ride on his beloved horse. The people sayd that will be ok cause he couldnt flee. Eppelein rides a few rounds and the he gave his horse the spores and sprung over the wall. They felt into mud and run away. They dont saw Eppelein for a long time. Only the prints of the horseshoes was left, till today. The last photo is called "Chilling in Nuremberg"
Knuddelhexe Posted Aug 4, 2012, 11:05 am	Splish Splash I was taking a bath. Oh dear...what a day. I was walking around in my home and found a nice place for chilling. My mom have on her windowsill a pot with a mint-plant in it. its smelling sooo good. I tried to climb in the pot and suddenly i felt in some mud. My mom was watering the plant a few minutes before and now i was very dirty. My mom found me and rescued me. She said that I have to take a bath. It was very nice. I played with the foam and was chilling a little bit. After this, my mom was drying me carefully with a big towel.
Knuddelhexe Posted Aug 15, 2012, 7:20 pm	Yesterday Jasper from Switzerland is arriving at my home. He is a very nice moose. But i don't have so much time to spend with him because my journey starts at this morning. I am leaving Germany and in the next days i will be in UK with my guestmom. I am a little bit sad but i think its will be an exciting adventure. I promised my mommy to send lots of postcards hom to show her where i am. On Yesterday evening i sayd jasper good bye.

I'm so happy to be out of the envelope  Thank you for putting the puzzle in as it kept me occupied and the postcards were lovely to look at and stop me getting homesick. I'm very excited to be here in the UK. My host family are very kind. And I've even met another ToyVoyager called Marshmallow. Here we are relaxing together: Marshmallow hasn't left his family yet, but he's just got back from his first family trip to Cornwall. There are two other future ToyVoyagers as well - Noodle the Dog and Wilfred the Owl. They hope to travel one day. This is us on the toy bench where we sleep. Well, I'd better go. We have a busy day tomorrow going to my host mom's dad's birthday! I'll write again soon. Miss you but I'm having lots of fun  Krümelknirps xxx
Thomisa Posted Aug 21, 2012, 4:03 pm	Hey Mom! Well, today we went to Enfield in north London, which is where my hostmom's parents live. It was her dad's birthday today so we went to help them celebrate. This is the yummy food we had: And this is me with the pavlova, which was delicious! It was such a hot day.  Here's me sunbathing with the gnomes: And smelling the flowers... Can you see me?! We saw something else exciting too. Thomisa Posted Aug 22, 2012, 3:15 pm	Hi Mom! Just a quick update to show you a picture of me and Marshmallow at a postbox. It's not any ordinary postbox, it's a gold one! Every time a British person won a gold medal at the Olympics, they painted the postboxes gold in the town where they're from. What do you think? I really love the postboxes this colour!
Thomisa Posted Aug 23, 2012, 8:45 pm	Hi Mom! I had great fun playing in the garden with my host brother and sister! Here I am on the slide: Aren't I brave?? I got even braver after that and went down head first! I was really proud of myself. There's a climbing frame too. They also had a big pool, but took it down when they went on holiday. Hostmom said they'll get it out again if the weather turns really hot. Hope you're all OK and not missing me too much! Krümelknirps xxx

And here I am with the tomato sauce: We had sausages and burgers too. Host mum said it's really lovely to be outside as it's rained so much this year. Thomisa Posted Sep 2, 2012, 7:27 pm	Hello Mom! Today I helped cook dinner! We had traditional English roast beef. First of all I had to pick some runner beans... Then I helped to peel the potatoes: And here is our dinner: It was delicious! We had roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, parsnips, runner beans, broccoli, beef and gravy.  Oh and while we were in the garden earlier, I had a peep in the ladybird house: I couldn't see any ladybirds today though. Thomisa Posted Sep 5, 2012, 5:22 pm	Hey Mom! I was a little sad at the weekend because MiniMarshmallow left to go on his travels. I'll miss him, but I'm also happy as another TV has arrived. He's called Mishuta. Here we are: I've also done some playing with Noddy: We went really fast! I nearly fell off, but held on tightly. I also helped to make a space ship in the garden with my host brother and sister. Here I am in the window: We went right up to space! I'm very excited as we are hoping to go to the zoo at the weekend. I wonder if I'll see any creatures like me? Love you, Krümelknirps xxx
Thomisa Posted Sep 10, 2012, 5:20 pm	Hi Mom! We had a great day at Colchester Zoo. It was soooo hot  I saw lots and lots of animals. The monkeys were very funny  . Here is Mishuta and I. I think it's a pretty good photo of us! But the animals didn't come out too well. This is the enclosure with zebras, giraffes, rhinos and ostriches. We also watched a sealion show. There were three sealions: Milan, Atlanta and I can't remember the other one! They swam under water to fetch some rings and jumped up to reach a pole. I wish I could have jumped in the pool with them to cool down. Then we looked through some binoculars: I tried to spot some birds and butterflies, but I couldn't see any... I also measured myself against an elephant footprint. Look, they're huge! We had such a fun day. We went on a trainride and had a picnic too. Host mom wanted to take more photos but she was very busy running after my host brother and sister! I think it may be time for me to move on soon. I'll be very sad to leave though as I'm having a great time. I'll let you know what my plans are soon! Lots of love, Krümelknirps xxx
Thomisa Posted Sep 15, 2012, 11:48 am	Hi Mom! I helped to make a cake yesterday  It was a coffee cake! It was so delicious that I managed to get into the fridge and eat some when no-one was looking... It was very cold in there and hostmom didn't find me for a while, so she wrapped me up in a towel to warm me up: I helped wash up as well. I was exhausted! And this is the cake here: I'm glad I got to help make and eat some cake! Love Krümelknirps xxx

I think I should have hidden somewhere a little lower down where they could reach a bit easier! Oh well, I had a nice rest while I was waiting. xx

Thomisa Posted Sep 26, 2012, 10:33 am	Hi Mom, Just thought I'd show you how I spent my Saturday... Host mom did some tutoring in the morning, so we all sat and watched and learnt lots of interesting things! I can't remember if I told you that a new TV, Kathy, arrived the other day? We all get on very well  Then we had some lunch: These were really nice! If you want to make them, then just put a slice of ham in a wrap, add some grated cheese and some roasted peppers from a jar, roll up in silverfoil and put in the oven for 10 - 15 minutes on 180 degrees C. I'm definitely going to make them again! In the afternoon, Host dad went to collect a VW campervan. We haven't had a chance to explore it yet, but we're going to soon and I'll show you some photos. Anyway, I'm going to be leaving Hertfordshire soon. I'm off to the USA!! How exciting  Bye for now, Lots of love, Krümelknirps xxx
Thomisa Posted Sep 27, 2012, 11:01 am	Hi Mom, Well, today we went to a Christmas craft fair at Alexandra Palace. This is a very impressive building, built in 1873. It's the place where the first television service was broadcast by the BBC: I had an amazing view across London! In the background you can see St. Paul's Cathedral, the Shard and the Gherkin: This is all of us in the car driving up to the Palace. We were going to get the train but it wasn't working. You can see the mast: And here I am inside looking at which stalls I wanted to visit: Host mom and host nan bought some things to help them make Christmas cards and other crafty items. You can also see the famous organ in the background. It's called the Willis Organ and has been there since 1875! We had a great day, but I was exhausted by the end    Bye for now, Krümelknirps xxx

I was very happy that I got to explore the VW campervan today  Here we are sitting inside: This is me looking for the spanner to help hostdad fix the front seats: There's a lot of work to do, but I'm sure it will be great once it's finished. winksnana Posted Oct 17, 2012, 1:21 am	Today the three of us and some friends went out to Wynwood's Art Walk! It's a monthly event in Miami where the art galleries with their cool murals are open to the public. It has turned into a big party. There were street performers, musicians, food trucks, and SO MANY GOOD LOOKING PEOPLE! We had a lot of fun. We rode on an old hippie Volkswagen bus and even a police guy let me take a picture with him. YO AMO 305
winksnana Posted Oct 24, 2012, 5:53 pm	This Sunday we went to Krome Ave, the last paved road before the Everglades. It is a farmland area just 5 minutes away from my host's suburban comforts. It has a great view, which make a great drive on sunny days. It also has a great small organic shop where my host likes to try new fruits. We also visited a nearby goat farm which was pretty smelly. My host's grandaunt posed with me.
winksnana Posted Oct 30, 2012, 6:29 pm	This weekend we went to Miami Beach: the center of the world as far as Miami is concerned. I enjoyed people watching and basking in the sun. I even had a little chat with the lifeguard about swimming but I didn't dare go into the water because the waves were still mighty strong from Sandy. I loved the palm trees and the constant sun! We walked along the front of South Beach to see the iconic Art Deco hotels like The Cavalier and The Carlyle. I did get thirsty from so much walking in the heat so I had my pick of exotic fruits. On our way back we spotted a black Lamborghini and my host said it was Miami Beach without luxury cars. I had a lot of fun!
