Hi,
my name is Stripes. I am a tiny, curious zebra who wants to explore the world. I love plants and trees (there can never be enough trees) and I like rabbits. Especially white ones, because Lola is a white rabbit. Actually, I like everything, except crocodiles. Brrr. I think I'm something special. I am a TV of a TV. Official Jasper is my mentor because Lola (my real owner) is too young for ToyVoyagers. I do not mind if I only can travel . I'll see you later. Stripes |

Hello,
wonderful winter weather. Sunshine, blue skies and glistening snow. I took the chance and went for a winter walk. I ran up and down the hills, saw a nice little river, squeezed me through canyons and climbed through under large rocks. I saw a waterfall that is an icefall now. Everything around him was covered with ice. What a wonderful day. Stripes |

Hello my friends,
with a loud roar our newest guest jumped in our quiet life. We were all terribly frightened. A tiger. Lille and I have fearfully hiding behind Wolley, our protector. Shakespeare has retreated to his turtle shell. After the initial shock was over Rico, the tiger has clarified his roar. He was happy to be out after a long journey from the envelope. He showed us his gift and we greeted him kindly. He seems to be quite nice, especially when he purrs. And he is soo strong, we could ride on him Bye for now Stripes |
Jasper Posted Mar 3, 2013, 3:14 pm |
Hi all,
what a boring week. Jasper had to work full time, the weather was bad (two weeks with no sun, no more snow, but fog and rain) and dad was sick. But yesterday we had a lot of fun. We celebrated Lille's birthday. She got a huge cake, a big lollipop and a little sheep. All kissed and hugged her and wished her all the best. Then she blew out the candle and cut the cake. It was great fun. I hope that next week things will get better. See you Stripes |

A dear Hello,
after felt like eternity we could go outside today. Jasper packed us into her big bag and we drove to St. Gallen, the capital of the canton. St.Gallen is not really big (74000 inhabitants) but is known for its embroidery. The university is one of the leading business schools in Europe and the Convent of the monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first thing we saw was the red square. Yes, not only Moscow has a red square, and this place is really red, Oh, oh, we forgot the turtle. Again pose with turtle. it is a gift from a reputable bank to the city. On our way to the old town we saw the synagogue of the Jewish community. Then we admired the cathedral and the many beautiful old houses. After a small break with marshmallows we went to the farmers market. There we were immediately hungry, with all these delicacies. We bought some fruit and mushrooms, and were on our way home. Best wishes and much love Stripes |

Hello together,
I hope you are well. Today we are preparing another farewell party. Dolivia will leave us and go to Greece. With our new Shopping Cart (Jasper brought it last week) we plundered all the cupboards and found much useful for a party. To reach the potato chips was a bit difficult but Wolley with his long nose made it. We had almost everything together, just the popcorn was still missing. It was funny to look into the microwave and listen to the popping of the corn. Fresh, warm popcorn tastes wonderful. We made one last group photo, and hugged our friend. Bye bye Dolivia have a lot of fun, much more adventure and a safe journey. See you Stripes What we did not know at this point - Rico will leave us also. He travels to Greece, to the same host as Dolivia. We hugged him and wished him a good trip. Then they both slipped into the envelope and started their journey. |

Hello,
As Jasper came home from work today, she packed us into her bag and off we went. Not five minutes later, she opened the bag and sunshine streamed in. We saw a small path that looked pretty beat from all the snow. But on closer inspection we found things that make hope for spring. The weather was beautiful but the wind is still cold and the snow is still near. We saw a really old apple tree with mistletoe. Huge, felled trees and snowdrops. We saw bees that were battling for first flowers. (You can not see so well but look right in front of my nose.) And then we took a sunbath. It felt so good. In the hope of more sun I send you greetings Stripes |
Jasper Posted Mar 27, 2013, 1:00 pm |
Hello,
we are all pretty frustrated. After last week, it looked a bit like spring, winter reigns again. Jasper will be crazy, slowly but surely. Yesterday we tried to bring some spring mood in the house. Jasper bought everything that looked like Easter and warm weather, and we built and decorated it into a indoor garden. I think we succeeded. Now we all look forward to Easter, no matter what the weather is. We can not change anyway. See you Stripes |
Jasper Posted Mar 31, 2013, 1:38 pm |
Happy Easter!
although it looks more like Christmas. Due to bad weather (snow again) we must search the Easter Bunny in the apartment. We searched long and found plenty. Everywhere chocolate bunnies, eggs and other sweets were hidden. We needed our shopping cart to transport everything. Later, we had a delicious breakfast. I wish you a nice day, your Stripes |

Hello,
now it's done. Tomorrow I start my first trip. It goes to Germany. I will visit Melanie and her TV Hans Günther. And they take me on vacation to Norderney. Jasper told me that Norderney is one of the East Frisian Islands. I think I'll take my life ring with me. Then came the big moment: I got my traveltag All my friends here have embraced me and wished me a nice and safe trip. The parting from Lola was hard for me, but I'll come back sometime. I slipped into my envelope and made myself comfortable. Melanie, I'm on my way. See you, Stripes |
melanie Posted Apr 9, 2013, 7:29 pm |
Hi mum,
last weekend I arrived in Germany. Hans Günther said HELLO. He was as excited as me. I think we'll have a good time. I alreday saw some places, but the weather wasn't fine to take photos. Either it was raining or it was cloudy. But Melanie said we'll go there again and take photos. Love Stripes |

Hi mum,
after a short break in the hotel we went to the beach and the Georghöhe (you can see on the second photo). The other photos show the beautiful view from the Georgshöhe over the beach and the village. I'm very tired, there were so many impressions. Love Stripes |

Hi mum,
today we went with a boat to watch the seals, Melanie was afraid we could drop in the water, because we wanted to see everthing. After arriving in the harbour we went back to town by feet. We took photos in the dunes. Love Stripes |
melanie Posted Apr 28, 2013, 3:06 pm |
Hi mum,
today we rent a bike and drove to the lighthouse of Norderney. We went up to the top, 252 stairs. From the top we had a beautiful view. We also saw the airport of Norderney, it's next to the lighthouse. Then we drove to the Oase. It's a hip bar/cafe next to the lighthouse and the FKK beach. It was a nice but tiring day, so I'm tired now. Love Stripes |
melanie Posted Apr 28, 2013, 6:56 pm |
Hi mum,
today we wrote postcards in the surfcafe. In the afternoon the weather was very nice, so we could make some photos on the top of the hotel. It was sunny but very stormy, you can see on my hair... Love Stripes |

today I arrived at WingedWolf's place in Mantel. When I climbed out of the envelope I was greeted by four TVs. Zed Dog, Freya, Twix and HelgaHH gave me a warm welcome! <3 I'm really looking forward to many adventures! Love, Stripes |
WingedWolf Posted May 16, 2013, 7:04 pm |
Since host-mum got home from work quite early today and the weather was so nice we went for a little walk! ^__^
Everything was so green and the flowers were blooming Wow, mum, this tree looks a lot like me, don't you think?! We had a little break when we arrived at the forest after so much walking. It felt so nice Me and Freya were sleeping! We found a bird house but there were no birds inside Look, mum, I found a heart for you! <3 Love, Stripes |
WingedWolf Posted May 29, 2013, 2:48 pm |
Hi Mommy,
today we started our journey to London! I was so excited! So we got up at 3 o'clock in the morning and took the train at 5 a.m. We arrived in Munich at around 7.45 a.m. , went to the airport via S-Bahn and had to wait for another 3 hours until our plane left. The airport was really lovely. So big!! We saw an airplane of the 'airberlin' company. It looked quite small through the window. I wasn't scared of flying but when we finally arrived at London Heathrow airport I was really glad to stand again It took us quite a while to find our hotel because the way wasn't explained very well on the homepage and the people we asked couldn't really help us. Nevertheless we found it in the end... the rooms looked very old but the beds were comfortable ^_^ It was a long day and we were so tired, so before we went to bed we cleared out our suitcases and read the newspaper. 'Evening standard' , one of the papers you can get everywhere for free in London Hugs, Stripes |
WingedWolf Posted May 29, 2013, 3:04 pm |
Hiiiii ~
today we got up early in the morning, had breakfast (toast with marmalade and a cup of black tea) and left the hotel. First we took the Tube to Euston Square and saw this nice College *__* A few meters away there was this awesome skyscraper! Wow, how high do you think it is? We went to Piccadilly Circus afterwards where you can find this big advertising space and the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain on the right. A red telephone box! Love, Stripes |
WingedWolf Posted May 29, 2013, 3:22 pm |
Good morning,
we went to the Buckingham Palace today! *___* There are so many cars here! :O I think the gates looked rather impressive but the building itself is quite dull. You can see the famous guards here. It's nice to watch them, they are always marching in step! Our next stop was Trafalgar Square, the biggest public square in London. You can see Nelson's Column here, it's 51m tall. In the background (behind the fountain) there's the National Gallery. Hugs, Stripes |
WingedWolf Posted May 29, 2013, 3:38 pm |
Hello,
I saw the London Eye today, the biggest ferris wheel in Europe We even took a ride. Wow, what a nice view over London! *___* Later we went to see the Big Ben. Brrr, it was sooooo cold and started to rain in the evening That's why we decided to go to the cinema instead to watch "Star Trek Into Darkness". Host-mum and her friends have already watched it 2 weeks ago in Germany but wanted to hear the english voices ;> Such a nice movie!!! Kisses, Stripes |
WingedWolf Posted May 29, 2013, 3:54 pm |
Hi mom,
this is my last update from London We went to see the St. Bartholomew's hospital today ^_^ The St. Paul's Cathedral wasn't far away. It's stunning! We also went to the Tower Bridge in the morning and could see the Tower of London Back in the hotel we had a small farewell party with a pile of sweets We took a last look out of our hotel window and left for the airport. HelgaHH and I had a really good time here and we'll miss London But it feels nice to come back as well Love, Stripes |
WingedWolf Posted Jun 11, 2013, 7:03 pm |
Hi there,
host-mum went to a pond with us today. The first one was almost dried up. Next to it there was a small hut with dirty windows Love, Stripes |
WingedWolf Posted Jun 11, 2013, 8:15 pm |
Hello mommy
after all the rain in Bavaria it was finally warm again today so we took the chance and went to the nearby Max Reger Park in Weiden. You can see the "Max Reger Halle" in the background here, it's a very big and nice building where a lot of interesting festivals take place! Look! We even saw a small mouse, it's so cute! In the park there even is a playground! We saw a lot of small sweet birds in cages! That's host-mum's favourite place in the park! ^o^ Hugs, Stripes |
JemmaJ Posted Jun 20, 2013, 12:35 pm |
Today has already been really busy and there is more to come!
I have arrived safely and I was greeted by Mr. Munchy and Lillepuss It was all exciting! Then we all helped Jemma bag her BookCrossing books ready for our trip out tonight. We are going to the Forest with her Guides (hopefully she will explain what they are later...) |
JemmaJ Posted Jun 28, 2013, 9:39 am |
Well; we are all going on an adverture tomorrow. We all asked if we could help book everything - you have to love doing every day things!
Here we are looking at the website of where we are visiting. Google maps is showing us where we are going. We are going to "BSL Pride Day - Party in the Park"; it is in London. There are going to be a lot of Deaf people there. This is the map of where the Party in the Park will happen. We will need to get a train there. We helped Jemma book our train tickets; we will need to use a device called the Tube. So we will need to see what she is talking about. This is a map of the Tube; it is a train that goes underground. Hopefully it will not be to dark! If we have time; Jemma will take us to another place which is near to the Party. |
JemmaJ Posted Jul 3, 2013, 5:14 pm |
Hey mum; look where we've all been at.... London!
It was very sunny so Jemma tried to put us all in the shade. Look out her bananas changed in the weather! Jemma moved the bananas before Mr. Munchy could eat them! The second place we went to was...Buckingham Palace! People did look at Jemma strangely! There were many people taking photos of the Queen's house. I know that I have been here before; but I thought that it would be nice to see it with the others! To make up for us all missing the Forest Trip the other week, Jemma took us to the national headquarters of Girlguiding UK. Jemma had to put us all on her bag to be seen in the pictures... What do you think? |
JemmaJ Posted Aug 4, 2013, 4:18 pm |
Today a new arrival came to stay with us...Arthur is his name! We all greeted him as he came out of his envelope! |
JemmaJ Posted Aug 4, 2013, 4:20 pm |
Today all of us went to a car boot sale; Jemma tries to go every week. We stayed in the car as people wanted to buy us!
We tried to confuse Jemma by moving around the car while we were waiting to park the car. Hopefully the weather will stay fine; as none of us want to get wet! |

Hi everybody!
Im in Chile! I arrived weeks ago but only now I could get to my new host's home because I had to arrive first in another city and be alone and bored there sitting on a shelf... But now Im finally with her and she has already taken me out to explore the southern world We are in the city of Puerto Montt, which translated to english means Port Montt. Take a look Leslie told me that this couple is very famous and they're in fact a symbol of Puerto Montt, theyre called "Seated by the sea" (sentados frente al mar - in spanish) Creepy faces, but yeah. Beneath those two towers is the main mall of the city and a big hotel. And here we reached another part of the city called Pelluco. The sea breeze felt lovely And the spring and it's blue sky make it all nicer! And for a welcome present, I got a bag of halloween candies This place seems promising, Im sure I'll have a lot of fun here Adios! |
Leslie Posted Nov 2, 2013, 6:14 pm |
It was Halloween and we celebrated the way it has to be... with candies!
That's Peaches by the way, a toyvoyager visiting here as well. She's from Germany and loves candies just as much as I do Happy halloween! |

Hello all!
We made what to me what my second trip in Chile. The weather was absolutely beautiful so we just couldn't waste is at home First we headed near a place called Caleta la Arena (which means The Sand Fishing Village) , to take a walk in the countryside The road was almost at all times next to the sea, very beautiful! Here we arrived to the country side and started walking around. The first thing we saw were sheep And then a cow. She was too busy eating to mind us though. We entered a forest a little bit, to find a small waterfall that we had been told about. Here it was, a very calming place After a while resting there we walked to the fishing village. It was only around 1km away. This is its beach of the village, maybe this is the reason why it's called "The Sand Fishing Village" We saw a big ferry back there... and we thought why not board it and see where it takes us The landscapes around here are so beautiful that wherever it takes us, it can't be bad So we hurried to it! And we left! Woohoo. Back there you can see another ferry that had just arrived. Behind me is the Andes Mountain range, and behind it is Argentina. Here the ferry stopped at a small town called Caleta Puelche, but we didn't get off here. After the stop here, we sailed back to La Arena and we drove back home. It was a beautiful day! Greetings! Hello all!
Lucky me, I escaped the autumn and came to the south following the spring This day wasn't so nice in the morning, but as the hours went by the clouds flew away and we saw the blue blue sky. But enough weather talking, let me tell you about this trip We woke up early early and drove to a small port to take a ferry to go to a very big island, Chiloé island. The island is 45 minutes away across the sea to the south. The first place we visited in the island of Chiloé was the Agüi Fortress, built by the spanish to fight the pirates back in 1779. See how I'm learning? This is the coat of arms of a city we were near to, Castro. After visiting the fortress we headed to Puñihuil, a beach with Natural Monument declared islands This is it, what a nice view! I mentioned that these islands are a Natural Monument... and you might be wondering why, so let me tell you. It's because here penguins and many other species come to mate! And of course, there are tours to sail around the islands, so we took one Can you see two little white/black points behind me a little to the right? Well, they're penguins. There are also many of them up there on the grass, but they're tiny! There you can see some. Sadly the little penguins weren't as photogenic as I am so we couldn't get any great shot of them, but hey! At least I saw them! It was a very nice day! Love from Chile Stripes |
Leslie Posted Dec 7, 2013, 7:14 pm |
Hi all!
I visited the main square of Ancud, a city in the north of the Island of Chiloé. There were many statues there. This is the Pincoya, one of the most famous characters of the chilean mythology. The legend says she is the spirit of fertility and can bring good or bad luck to the people of the island. Walking a bit more we found the Trauco. He is probably the most famous character of the chilean mithology. Leslie told me the legend, it says that this creature who is not human lived in the woods of the island and attracts young women and can kill men just by looking at them. Long ago in the past, when the legends were thought to be true, many women who got pregnant used this legend as an excuse and said that the Trauco was the father. This one is The Widow. She takes possesses men. This one has a very creepy story, he is called Invunche and the legend says that he was kidnapped by witches as a baby and raised in a cave fed with black cat milk and flesh from corpses and his legs were broken and his bones deformed so he can't leave the cave Some legends this place has In front of the main square was the church of the city. It used to be a big old church, but it fell with an earthquake so they built this new one. Then we walked through the promenade, it was nice... The day was very nice and I liked this city and most of all the interesting legends and statues! I hope you liked them too. Bye bye! |
Leslie Posted Dec 24, 2013, 10:29 pm |
Hohoho!
Today we went out for the last christmas shopping, the sun was hot so we needed lots of sunscreen! In the bus station they had this big nice tree After shopping we took a walk by the promenade, but the sun was very strong so it wasn't long. There we saw a cruise visiting. And before going back home we took a walk around these old trains exposition And then we arrived home to celebrate christmas! Merry Christmas everyone! |

Many thanks and a big kiss to Leslie. She was a great host and showed me a lot of beautiful Chile. Now I'm going to enjoy my home for a while and then go and look at other places in the world. Hello everybody
Today I visited St. Gallen. St. Gallen is the capital of the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. It evolved from the hermitage of Saint Gall, founded in the 7th century. Today, it is a large urban agglomeration (with around 160,000 inhabitants) and represents the center of eastern Switzerland. The town mainly relies on the service sector for its economic base. The main tourist attraction is the Abbey of Saint Gall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its renowned library contains books which date back to the 9th century. This is the Town Hall - located next to the train station. From there we walked to the "City Lounge" or as people call it - Red Square. Around the new building of Raiffeisen Bank, the outer region has been redesigned by two artists. The lounge is a kind of public living room. I thought for a long time on the pending eggs. Now I know - these are just lights. The monastery courtyard, the Cathedral, Mom bought us a pretzel with pumpkin seeds to strengthen. I had a really nice day Stripes |

today was something very special. A solar eclipse - well, a partial eclipse. We all wanted to watch Unfortunately, Mom could not get goggles. All sold out. So we looked at the spectacle on the computer. Not really the same but still very impressive. We saw the smile of the sun. See you Stripes |

Hello
overnight winter has come back. Snow and cold wind made us stay at home. We decided to play cards. For an international group like us poker was the most obvious. I was the dealer. Of course, we did not play for money. Sweets are worth more than money for a Toyvoyager. I hope the winner will share with me. Until next time Stripes |

Hey,
I arrived at BlackCat's house. Yaaay. Today we all watched the Eurovision Song Contest together. It's a song competition Europe has every single year. This year they had a guest country - Australia. We had snacks and watched it for a while but then were tired. The winner is this video here (CLICK). A really great song from Sweden. Love Stripes |
