Hi, I'm Minnilotta, a wannabe TV!
I'm told that I'm invited to Germany by a friendly rat. I will be on my way soon, so I'm saying goodbye to my friends. |
Emjay Posted Apr 12, 2013, 9:26 am |
Today is the day! I'm going to Germany! Wow, I've never been abroad before. Give me a hug, mum. |
Emjay Posted Apr 12, 2013, 9:32 am |
Bye now! I'm on my way!
Rattie Rat is waiting for me. He send me a message to tell me I can share his bed. I don't know about that... we have to know eachother a little better first! I don't know anything about Germany, but I'm gonna find out. I hope it has a tropical climate |
Alienne Posted Apr 18, 2013, 4:53 pm |
Hello, hello,
this was such a long journey. A whole week from the NL to Germany! I'm so exhausted. But today in the afternoon I finally arrived. I was immediately helped out of my travel bag. Rattie is really nice. He was so happy I am here. He hugged me and couldn't stop repeating: Hello, hello, hello... I gave him my small presents and then he couldn't stop repeating: Thank you, thank you, thank you... He is so funny. He gave me a little Easter egg. He said, he saved that specially for me. Isn't that cute? Then Rattie's friend Beary came to say hello, and he brought a welcome poster along. Rattie forgot all about it, but he made it in the morning. I am really really tired after this long journey. Rattie's human gave me something to drink and then offered me to have a little nap. I'll do that now. I hope you and all the little friends are doing well. Minnilotta |
Alienne Posted Apr 22, 2013, 7:35 am |
Good morning,
yes, it's me again, Minnilotta. I just had a nice cup of cocoa and now I'd like to tell you where Alienne took me on Saturday. Alienne's friend lives near a canal in Oldenburg. Isn't it a tiny bit like in the NL? Imagine I met my first live rats! Alienne went to help her friend with spotting his rats with Stronghold. He said they scratch themselves a lot and possibly have mites. So I first watched them doing it. Alienne's friend held the rat and Alienne put a little drop on the neck. Her friend has 18 rats, six of them are half wildies and they could not catch them. They were so fast, I could barely see them run. But the other 12 were co-operating nicely. Alienne and her friend took some photos afterwards. This is Alienne holding me on her lap and feeding her rat Mia a little multivitamin paste. And on the next two pictures you can see me with two of her friend's rats, Hexe and Seetha. They live together with Aisha. But Aisha didn't want to come out of her house. We were home late. Rattie and Beary were sleeping already. But we took the whole day yesterday to talk. I wonder what we are going to do today. It is not very nice outside. Not sunny at all. And we all hope it is not going to rain. My best wishes, Minni |
Alienne Posted Apr 30, 2013, 8:45 am |
Hello folks,
Alienne was without internet, so we couldn't update for a while. And also often the weather was not nice at all, and Alienne had some other probs, too, she had to deal with. E.g. on Thursday she found a box with two little rat boys in front of her door. Maybe four weeks old, very thin. We haven't found out who put them there. So sad someone gets rid of them like that. Alienne phoned a friend who took the little boys in. What an excitement. We couldn't take photos with me and them because they were so shy. The day before that the sun was out so Alienne took me along to the local ice cream café where she met with a friend. I was allowed to sit on the table and sip a bit of cappuccino, and also watch the people. Doesn't the cocoa on the milk look like a big dog's paw?? After that Alienne's friend invited me to her house to meet her two cats, Mi and Mau. First Mau was not interested in me at all but then he kissed me. Mi is the older cat. He always acts very cool. He was found behind a dung heap, abandoned from his Ma as a tiny baby and he had to be fed from a little bottle. And- he was first mistaken as a she. Well, maybe that's what made him what he is now. A little "strange" - in a nice way , though. We went to see the three old rat ladies who live in a seperate room, too. But they were fast asleep and not to be seen. They are VERY old ladies, so they need their sleep. Well, that was my adventures last week, so far. You probably celbrate the troonswisseling today. We will watch it on tv. So in a way I'm with you, Emjay. Have a great day! Minnalotta Look, a lot of oranje |
Emjay Posted Apr 30, 2013, 2:54 pm |
Hi Minnilotta,
You're right: we're celebrating the "troonswisseling" and sitting in front of the telly! Have a good time! Love, Emjay |

Hello friends,
Here are the photos of me and Rattie attending the troonswisseling celebrations on TV. We had Rattie's friends watching, too. Wave, Minni |
Alienne Posted May 1, 2013, 7:09 pm |
Hello, hello,
today was a sunny day with a blue sky, but it was rather cold nevertheless. Especially with the wind. But... Alienne and a friend took me to a nice little village called Dötlingen. Today on May 1st and it was all about gardens and culture there. So we walked around to look in some gardens and farms... Alienne kept me warm in her coat pocket, but I had a good look over the rim of it. Sometimes she took me out to take my photos, and that was fun. First I saw some sheep. There was a dog, too, taht looked after them, but I think he is not in the picture. Then we came along some little lakes. There was a really old tree and we were not allowed to go near it because it might collapse. Unfortunately the tree is not on focus. But I am in the picture, and that's the most important thing. And look at this! There was an old timer parked. And later on some more drove along the street. Wow! I would have loved to drive this one. But my legs are too short to reach the pedals. Further along the way there was an old church. But before we reached it we turned left and visited one of the gardens. But what I loved most was the "Queen". She was made by a local artist, Elke Tholen. It was an interesting day, and I was glad it didn't rain. Wave, Minnilotta |
Alienne Posted May 5, 2013, 10:40 am |
Hello,
for today just a few notes. Alienne had to make a short trip to Oldenburg and took me with her. Here we are waiting for the train: And these are two views at the Oldenburg market place. An old restored house: And the Town Hall and Church: Enjoy, yours, Minnilotta |
Alienne Posted May 5, 2013, 10:56 am |
Yes, it's me again, Minnilotta.
Hello! On Friday afternoons Alienne usually meets up with friends at a friend's house. She is the one we were in Dötlingen with on May 1st, and Alienne always used to say she has a far more nicer garden than all the garden we got to see on the Garden Tour. So she took me with her to see for myself. And yes, she is right. It is a fabulous garden. It was set out by her husband who unfortunately died in December. It was the first time this year all friends could sit outside in the garden and have coffee and tea. This is the entrance: But usually only strangers use this entrance, friends enter from the side door. Here you see me with the chicken: All these are views I found in the different corners and places: Look, here you can see Alienne in the background. Andlook, what I found! "Klompen"... Now, isn't that a fantastic garden? This was a nice afternoon in the sun. I hope the weather will stay... Take care, Minnilotta |
Alienne Posted May 5, 2013, 11:21 am |
Wow! What a day!
Hello, hello, Alienne took me out on her bike to see some sight of the small town she lives in. There's a little brook running through the town, and we had to follow it. First to reach the cloister area. Here you can see the cloister area ahead of us. There's a n old water mill. Some views in the area: Here are the ruins of the old cloister. And this is the old cloister church, still in use. Before we cycled on Alienne took a photo of our shadows on the ground. Can you see me? Again we went along the little brook, and partially we came through a little grove. Look, there were some grove windflowers. And finally we reached the "Bank of Sculptures". It is not a bank, but a meadow really. But it's great. All the sculptures are made by a local artist, Wolf E. Schultz. You see, I had some exciting days. And I hope you enjoy my pictures. Have a great Sunday. I'm thinking of you. Minnilotta |
Alienne Posted May 9, 2013, 10:04 am |
Hello Emjay,
What a day! So many impressions! Alienne took me sightseeing in Bremen. Bremen is the town of the Bremen Town Musicians, four animals - a donkey, a dog, a cat and a cock - who set out to find their luck and happiness and found it in Bremen, making music. First Alienne took me to the Schnoor. It's a name for the oldest quarter in Bremen, the roots of this hanseatic city. The passages between the houses were often associated with occupations or objects, e.g. an area in which ropes (German"Schnur"/Schnoor) and cables were produced . These were some views of the little and narrow streets. The oldest buildings are said to be from the 15th century, most are from the 17th and 18th. The quarter was restored and rebuild from 1959 on. In some shop windows you can see the Bremen Town Musicians. Tourists want to buy them. There were also some new houses in the area, very colourful I like that. Then we went over to the river Weser. It is not far from the Schnoor. There's a foot and bike path along the river and via a little tunnel we could get to another historic part of Bremen, the Böttcherstraße. The history of Böttcherstraße goes back to the Middle Ages. It was an important link between the market and the river. It was traditionally inhabited by coopers (Northern German: Böttcher). Paula Modersohn-Becker, an important artist/painter in the area, has a museum here. This is the "Glockenspiel Haus". You can hear it chime three times a day. If you want to hear it now you can click the audio file here. From the Böttcherstraße you get to the market place. The Rathaus (town hall): In the back you can see the "Roland" statue. We missed to take a photo with it because our attention was drawn to something else. You will see later. These are the so-called "Giebelhäuser" (gable houses) St. Petri Dom The "Schütting" (former guild house) And now you see why we forgot to take a photo with the Roland. Suddenly we spotted this little fellow, a may bug. Right on concrete in the middle of the market square. Of course we took the little one with us to find it some plants to sit on. The highlight of course was the visit of the Four Town Musicians. Then we took our way back to the railway station and passed the "sows" ( old German word is "söge") at the beginning of the Sögestraße. At last we passed the old rampart with the windmill. Here we were met by two old women who asked why Alienne was taking a photo with me. When she told the story the two women thought that was a very nice idea. And they were astonished about the possibilities nowadays. It was an interesting day, and when we came home my head was full of thinking material. Have a great day, too, Emray. Thinking of you, Minni |
Alienne Posted May 13, 2013, 3:53 pm |
Hello Emjay,
last Saturday a friend asked Alienne if she’d like to accompany her to a warehouse sale of farbenmix.de. She had to hurry because the train would leave in 20 Minutes but still she thought of asking me if I’d like to come along. Of course I did! We were picked up in Oldenburg at the station and then went by car to Schortens. The sale was all about sewing. First of all there were all kinds of ribbons, but also fabrics. The proceeds go to a sewing project in the Cameroon. On one wall there was an exhibition of handmade bags. So colourful! There was also a display of the bags the Cameroon women made. And this was Alienne's favourite bag. I liked it, too. Today it is rather cold and rainy again. We don't like it. Hope you are fine, Minni |
Emjay Posted May 16, 2013, 11:59 am |
Hi Minnilotta,
Thanks soooo much for your lovely card and drawing! Love, your mummy Emjay & all your friends at home. |
Alienne Posted May 19, 2013, 3:51 pm |
Hello Emjay,
so glad you got my card and liked it! Hope you have a fine weekend. During the past couple of days we were not outside a lot because Alienne got a bad foot and is a bit handicapped walking. Instead I helped her make a cake. It's an easy to make cake, so it was not a problem. Look. First we had to get 250 g margerine and 200 g sugar and then cream that. Then we added three eggs and creamed that again. Next was vanilla and 450 g flour and baking soda. We added grated hazelnut and chocolate flakes. We oiled the baking tin and put the dough in. Then we cleaned up. The cake was in the oven for 50 minutes at 175°. We put some vanilla icing on. And then Alienne let me taste the cake. Yummy!!!! I hope you are not jealous. Have a fine day! LY, Minnilotta |

Hello Emjay,
yesterday Alienne, Rattie and I spent some time making a postcard and painting little pictures with water colours. |
Alienne Posted Jun 7, 2013, 9:11 am |
Hello Emjay,
yesterday Alienne had to go to Oldenburg to see her doc. I was allowed to accompany her. She said there is a park ( Castle Park) near-by , so we could go and visit. Which we did. There were all kinds of rhododendrons. And there is a lake. Here you can see the Oldenburg Market Church in the back ground. We saw a tree with flowers like this. Alienne doesn't know what kind of tree it is. But we try to find out. I wanted to blow the seeds of the dandelion, but they were still well attached. And look at these strange trees. Can you find me in this picture? Look at this little fella in one of the corners. Some more views.... Soemtimes we had a little rest on one of the many benches. On our way back out of the park we could see some posh houses opposite the park. Heree's one of them: We were happy to have spent some time in the sun and hope you can enjoy, too. Hugs, Minna |
Emjay Posted Jun 8, 2013, 8:22 am |

Hello Emjay,
Sorry you haven't heard from me for some time. Last Monday we had 3 little rats here for over the day until they were picked up from their new humans in the late afternoon. First they were very nervous and then they slept. But later on I was able to meet them. I have got pictures of two of them. The third one was very nosy about the area around him and was too fast to get a picture of. But here you see me with two of them. Have a fine day, hugs, your Minni |

Hello my human,
last Monday Alienne took me on a trip to Osnabrück to visit the zoo. She told me she had been there quite a lot of years ago and was eager to see it again. Especially since they have now and "underground" section now - also with rats! It took us some time by train to get there, and then we had to go a little further by bus. Having arrived first thing to go was to the underground section; it was right away after the entrance. What a pity we didn't get good pictures there - it was much too dark. And we weren't allowed to use the flash - of course. I met a lot of animals - but it was a bit disappointing that we didn't get to see the tigers, elefants and some of the monkeys. There was a lot of constructing going on. OK, look for yourself. And when you'd like to see the close-ups of animals and things, go here: klick Kisses, your Minni |
Alienne Posted Jul 12, 2013, 9:47 am |
Hello my human,
today is the day! I get to travel on to my next stay. I am so excited and nervous, and of course so curious what it will be at RikeH's house. I have three more photos from Alienne's place. 1. this is where I used to sit when Alienne was working at her laptop 2. having the last chat with my little friends - saying good-bye 3. climbing into my travel envelope - my friends waving a last good-bye Well.... I'm sad to leave, but also I'm looking forward to the new place. See you all again in a while, Kisses, Minni |

Hello Mum,
We took a trip by bike to this nice place today. It was a group of big boulders. This was a very big granite. We all relaxed on one of the boulders in the sunshine. Many years ago trains used this way – I saw photos from the Past. On our way back home we stopped at the church of Sülfeld – a nice building. Love Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Jul 23, 2013, 1:50 pm |
Hello Mum,
Today I played in the garden. There were many beautiful flowers. Then I talked to this funny guy. Look – a beautiful red dahlia. More nice flowers. And these yellow flowers were so beautiful, too. We sat together and relaxed on my Dicker Kumpel’s swing. It is such a beautiful place! Yours Minnilotta |

RikeH Posted Jul 29, 2013, 1:17 pm |
Hello Mum,
Today some TVs came and visited us. It was so nice to see them! Then we had some delicious cakes. Can you see how hot it was? The chocolate melted. We ate a lot – it was yummy! Then Dicker Kumpel got a present by Helmut. Delicious drinks. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the sunshine and of course we talked a lot! Then it was time to say goodbye to our friends. Cuddling is great – so we had a big cuddle. In the evening it was time for the drinks! We all got a bottle. We would have loved to have a party with our friends, who left today, so we decided to ‘invite’ them to our party. I chose Oink, because we had a lot of fun together in the afternoon.. It was a wonderful evening! Cheers! Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Aug 3, 2013, 12:11 pm |
Hello Mum,
It is summer in Germany at the moment – and a really hot summer. I had a look at the temperature – more than 30 degrees Celsius. We asked RikeH what to do – and she had a great idea. We played with water bombs. I threw my yellow one on PieksiHH, and he threw his green one onto me. I waited… Then it came. Wow – I got wet. PieksiHH got wet, too. It was so much fun – and we wanted more. So we asked our humans to throw the water bombs. There were two. But one jumped away. Look – the next one was great – RikeH took the right moment for the photo. It was so much water – Sean felt backwards. More fun! It was a great afternoon! |
RikeH Posted Aug 10, 2013, 2:53 pm |
Hello Mum,
Today I went to a town near to Sülfeld – it is called Bad Segeberg. It has a wonderful church. This is the market place. During the summer time they play Winnetou in the open air theatre. All over the city you find different stakes. On this one was a big bird. And this stake was very colorful. Later I went to the Lake of Segeberg – can you see the Apache on the photo? The lake was really beautiful! We thought about going around it, but then we had to go home and wait for the Telekom-man who wanted to repair our internet. Well Mum, the man from the Telekom didn't come. And we still have a lot of problems with the internet, that's why we update really late. Love Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Aug 17, 2013, 3:25 pm |
Hello Mum,
Many greetings from Bremerhaven. We decided to go there, because Dicker Kumpel promised a big surprise for Sean here. But it will be tomorrow, today we explored the city. There were two really beautiful buildings. On the other side I saw the water from the river Weser. You can see that we are close to the Sea. There were some beautiful ships. Many emigrants started their travels here – this monument is a memory for these people. We had to stop at this watergate, because a ship wanted to go through it. Behind me you can see the little harbor in the middle of the city. And these are the views out of our room. Love Minnilotta |
Alienne Posted Aug 18, 2013, 9:19 am |
Hello Minni,
I am still following your journey and I am so happy for you to see all these wonderful places. All the best for your host Rieke, all your new little friends, and of course for you. Alienne |
RikeH Posted Aug 18, 2013, 5:01 pm |
Hello Mum,
Today we went to the Zoo of Bremerhaven. I started with the ice bears. This one was a little tired at the beginning. His friend was not so tired. Then we came to the important part of the Zoo for Sean. I met two friendly penguins. These birds seemed to love it here. Later I met another tired animal – maybe the penguins were the only one – next to the birds – who didn't sleep. I saw a seal in the water. This was my last view over the Zoo – and I saw the two ice bears together. It was a nice day in the Zoo. Yours Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Aug 19, 2013, 8:15 pm |
Hello Mum,
We went to Hamburg. This was the old part of the port, but now they built many new houses here. This is the Elbphilharmonie. It is a new building, too – and it gets more and more expensive. We decided to take a short trip on a boat. It is great to see the ships and the port from the Elbe River. This is a really old sailing ship. Well – maybe I will sail the seven seas in the future? This building is the ‘alter Elbtunnel’ - a building where you can reach a tunnel under the Elbe River. We decided not to walk under the Elbe, because it was a hot day. Here I learnt a lot about the Elbtunnel. Love Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Aug 20, 2013, 2:28 pm |
Hello Mum,
It was a wonderful day today. We visited the Beatles Place in Hamburg – one of Rocky Raccoon’s life missions. Here you can see the Beatles. The Beatles Place is in a – well let me call it – not so nice part of Hamburg– RikeH told us not to have a closer look in this street. But back to the Beatles – maybe I am a member of the Beatles now? Here you can see the place – it is round like a record. Then we continued our walk and visited a park called Planten un Blomen (plants and flowers). I liked this funny fountain. And they had wonderful flowers. We went into the tropical house and saw other beautiful plants. I learnt that this plant is called Mother-in-Law’s chair. Can you imagine why? It was a wonderful day in Hamburg, again. Yours Minnilotta |

The weather here is really strange at the moment. It is so cold and often very foggy. But sometimes it is also sunny, so we went outside. Enjoy the pictures. Minnilotta |

My hostmum bought a new piano! She is very happy that she finally bought a real piano. It sounds much better than the electrical piano.
She is playing very often, and she also taught us how to play some songs! Now even I love to play the piano! |
Emjay Posted Dec 14, 2013, 1:13 pm |
Hi Minni!
I'm glad you're fine and playing the piano! Wow, a real "Schimmel" I wish I could play! Well, have fun! Give my regards to hostmum and the other TV's. Love, your mum Emjay |

Hello Mum!
I am sorry that you did not hear from me in such a loooooooong time! I really really miss you and I am happy to come home soon! In the year 2014 I have seen so much! In January my Hostmum went to DUBAI! I will show you some pictures she showed me, she also got me a little present from there. In April we went to the UNITED STATES! Unfortunately my Hostmum lost the pictures of me, so I will show you some I took myself soon. In December a good friend of my Hostmum visited us. She comes from Chennai, India and she stayed for 3 weeks. She got us over 40 presents from her hometown! For now I will show you pictures we took this week, with our new friend LouLou and us studying, like we often did.. Have fun looking at the pictures, Love, Minni |

Hi Mum!
The United Arab Emirates are very different to Austria. My Hostmum went to the Desert near Oman, she really loved it. The city is breathtaking, se said. And the worlds tallest building really is tall.. its HUGE, she showed me some pictures!! Everything is crazy there. In the Shopping Mall she had to look at a Map, because its so big. The strange thing was, men did not talk to her. Even in the restaurant they asked her friend Robin what she wants to eat. That made her feel really uncomfortable, but she accepted their culture. Minni :-) |
Emjay Posted Jan 11, 2015, 9:33 pm |
Dear Minni,
Wow! How wonderful to hear from you! I was a bit worried, but I see you had a great time! You are a real world traveler now. Who would have known you would see such faraway countries? Well, I'm proud of you! Give my warm regards to your hostmum. I'm looking forward to the updates! Big hug, your mum Emjay |
Miche Posted Jan 11, 2015, 9:42 pm |
America was great!
First we went to Philadelphia for a stopover. After that we went to Las Vegas. This city is crazy but great! We stayed there for about 5 days. After that we went to Arizona and the Grand Canyon! It was awesome! I have never seen such a beautiful landscape in my life. We stayed a few days in Arizona. Our last stop was California! Los Angeles is a big city, the highway has like 5 lanes in one direction - but there were traffic jams anyway. We went to famous Hollywood Boulevard, we have seen the Hollywood sign, went to Santa Monica and spend nice afternoons at Manhattan Beach. Enjoy the pictures! Minni |

Hi everyone, hi hostmum!
I'm back in Delft. I love traveling, but it's good to be back again. And guess what? There were a lot of friends to meet me! I felt like a moviestar I told my new friends all about my adventures and then we ate chocolate. Yummy, my favorite! |

Hello all! Hello former hostmum Miche!
Happy Valentine's Day! I haven't got a boyfriend yet , but I'm celebrating with my friends. We're having heartshaped candy with a word on it. Mine said: "leuk", wich means something like "nice" or "cute". Sounds a little like "like" |
Emjay Posted Mar 8, 2015, 3:11 pm |
Yay, the sun is shining! We're on our way to the village Schipluiden. (Can you pronounce that? ) |

Emjay Posted Jun 4, 2015, 10:53 am |
We're all in the garden, because it's such a sunny day. An envelope arrived today and we're curious of who is in it! Suny handles the letter opener and out comes... PieksiHH, from Germany! Oh, he's sooo cute! |
Emjay Posted Jun 15, 2015, 8:43 pm |
Hello all!
Finally a little note from me again! Today two TV's are leaving: Suny and Dille. Dille is my BFF, so I was a little sad . But we will stay in touch. I'm looking forward to her updates from Russia. |
Emjay Posted Jun 15, 2015, 8:45 pm |
Suny and Dille had just left when another TV arrived! He jumped outof the envelope and gave me a kiss! Cheeky |
Emjay Posted May 7, 2017, 1:21 pm |
Good news, folks! I'm on the road again! By the time you read this, me and my best friend Dille are on our way to Germany to meet RikeH. I stayed with her before. She's a lovely host.
And now she will take us on a beautiful trip to... Niagara Falls! How about that? But first we said goodbye to our TV-friend Indigo and Dille's big sister and cousin Abby. |

Hello Mum,
I visit Dicker Kumpel again! We didn't see us for 4 years, but of course we were in contact over the years. This time I come with Dille. Dicker Kumpel introduced us to Kleine Fee, Stoker and Sansone. It is great to be here again! Love Minnilotta |

Hallo Mum,
I am on the Bornholm Island. Today I went onto the beach near to our holiday house. The crossing looks good. And the beach was beautiful! Surely I will come back and walk along the Baltic Sea. But today we wanted to go to Dueodde and see the lighthouse there. Next to it I climbed onto a dune and had a great view. Then we walked to the beach – it looked similar to the first one. Far behind me you can see the lighthouse. I saw the sunlight on the water. We liked it here. Then we arrived at an exciting place. Maybe you cannot see it on the sign. Then 55th Northern latitude and the 15th Eastern longitude meet here. At the end we found a beautiful water mill – without water today. Love Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Jun 6, 2017, 8:23 pm |
Hello Mum,
Today we travelled back in the medieval times. This was the house of the guilds. The craftsmen met here in the Past. But we found a nice cradle for us. Next to it was the smithy. We arrived at the best part of the village – I saw a big palisade. This was the kitchen. Then I went to the wonderful manor on the left side of the photo. The paintings were interesting – and colorful. I loved the bedroom. Can you see the Tower behind me? We climbed up and had a nice view. On the meadow we found a rune stone. They had water mills in that time. I really loved it here. Minilotta |
RikeH Posted Jun 12, 2017, 10:01 pm |
Hello Mum,
This is the round church in Østerlars. It is famous for its fresco paintings. This was the font – it is as old as the church. The altar. A beautiful church. You won't guess, what you see behind me. It was the famous water tower of Snaneke. It was designed by the famous Danish architect Jörn Utzon – he built the opera of Sydney. But of course there was a mill here – a wooden one this time. This mill had a good size. But the original next to it was beautiful, too. And the wings were in motion! Yours Minnilotta |

Hello Mum,
It was time to show our holiday home. It was big enough for all of us here. A great living-room… …and a nice kitchen. Do you know what this is? It was the start of a wasps' nest These were our favourite places – we could sit here and watch TV, or turn around and look into the beautiful garden. Love Minnilotta |

Hi Mum,
Today we want to see a big balanced rock. There are some of it on Bornholm, but we wanted to go to the most famous one. The way was nice, but long. There is the Rokkestenen. This big boulder is under nature protection since 1894. I took a photo with people on it, because you can see how big the boulder is. I wasn't strong enough to let it move. yours Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Jun 23, 2017, 2:06 am |
Hi Mum,
Our next stop was Balka. It has a long beach. I visited the small harbor. Then I went to the beach. We had to balance over this water. Some people lie in the sun or went into the water. It was a nice place. Yours Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Jun 23, 2017, 2:07 am |
Hello Mum,
Snogebæk had a pier to the harbor, but it was only 100 meters long. 3 This view was beautiful. But I liked these small houses. This was funny. Ugh, a factory for cod liver. This house was so funny – its roof was a boat. Love Minniotta |
RikeH Posted Jun 30, 2017, 1:55 am |
Hello Mum,
What a beautiful place. I visit the Niagara-Falls. Behind me you see the US-Fall. There is the Canadian fall – it seems to be wider. It looked so beautiful! We went behind the falls – well – this view wasn't that exciting. But it was very loud – and I felt the power of the water. Then we went onto a great viewing-platform. It was very wet – you see the people with the yellow ponchos. Thank you Rike that you took photos, although your camera got wet… Well –the camera was dry again – the lense was cleaned. Now I am on a boat. This was the US-waterfall. And the Canadian – we went nearer to it. Really near – but we were not able to take photos there, because it was too wet. A photo of both falls. I had a lot of fun here. Love Minnilotta |

Hello Mum,
We went into the Gatineau Park. First we stopped at the Pink Lake. Then we continued to the Mackenzie King Estate – the home of the 10th premier of Canada. We saw nice houses, a beautiful lake, a funny ruin and a beautiful water fall there. Yours Minnilotta |

Hello Mum,
A short review of Dicker Kumpel's birthday. We sang a song for him – then he got some gifts. A funny guy who glow in the dark – and someone who can climb on walls. Great. Later we sat in front of a fireplace. Yours Minnilotta |
RikeH Posted Aug 13, 2017, 7:42 pm |
Hello Mum,
Time to see the artists from Dicker Kumpel's birthday. The first guy walked down the wall. We had a nice party with a drink and popcorn while we waited that it will get dark. And then we saw the funny green glowing boy. This was great! Minnilotta |

Hello Mum,
We are in a holiday house and have a nice view from the terrace. We went into the city centre and saw the turning bridge. This is the abbey of Malchow. On the hour the bridge will open for the boats. There were the waiting boats. The bridge moved. Here it is from the other direction. The boats crossed. This is the guard of the bridge. The boats from the other direction. Now the bridge is closed again. I like it here. We talked to the friendly Captain. Yours Minnilotta |

Hello Mum,
I spent a long time here with RikeH and Dicker Kumpel. It was a nice time – but now I miss you and come back home. We said good-bye to all the others here. I will miss my good host Dicker Kumpel. A big hug – then I jumped into the envelope. Fortunately, I travel with Dille. It won't be too boring. Love Minnilotta |
