That's it! I'm about to leave home for the first time (and mom who will miss me so much).
I packed my bags and I'm now ready to discover... Northern Germany!!!
Where a sweet hostess offered to welcome me with open arms.
Of course, I will keep you informed of my adventures.
In the meantime... take care of yourselves.

I finally arrived in Germany. Dicker Kumpel gave me a warm welcome.
He said thanks for the gifts I brought with me.
Then I met his lovely girl-friend Kleine Fee and his other guests.

The weather was wonderful – it was Whitsunday – so we decided to go to an open-air concert.
We sat under a nice maypole.
I liked this band – Stormarn Magic most. They had the best music and young people with flags.
After two hours the concert was over.

Today I walked through Sülfeld. There was a small park
I liked the nice lake.
Can you see me in the flowers?

They have a beautiful church here.
It is more than 800 years old.
The old pharmacy with beautiful rhododendrons.

It was time to see some animals. We went into the Wildpark Eekholt.
I saw a wolf.
Then we went to the boar. They had young boar – so sweet.
My next new friends were deer.
They seem to have a nice life here.
The otter loved the water.
Interesting antlers.
He still had it on his head.
Beautiful!
Some flowers.
What a funny guy!
Before we left the park we saw some statues.
We had delicious lunch in the restaurant and went home after a nice time here.

Today I visited Bad Oldesloe, a small town near to Sülfeld. There are some old houses – this is one of it.
And a small fountain – good for this hot June here.
A nice church.
I like the river and the houses.
I want to send you my love with these roses!

It was time to visit Hamburg – a beautiful city in the North of Germany. This is the town hall.
There was art in front of it.
I went into the town hall and found a golden post box.
Inside the town hall.
On the other side of the town hall i a nice fountain.
These houses are called the Alsterarkaden.
A tourist boat is coming.
I liked this view.

My last stop was next to the Alster. Hamburg is beautiful!

Later I went to the Port of Hamburg – my first stop was at the Landungsbrücken.
I had nice views in all directions.
Far behind me you can see the Elbphilharmonie. I will visit it.

This is the Rickmer Rickmers – a beautiful sailingship.
It is great to be here.
This is a part of the new Speicherstadt.
Then we went onto the Plaza of the Elbphilharmonie. You can walk around an see a lot of the Port and the Speicherstadt.
I saw the TV-tower and the church spires of Hamburg.
This church is famous – called Michel.
My last view – I liked it here.

Great. We boarded one of the tourist boats and had views from the water.

Three days ago it was Dicker Kumpel’s birthday. We sang a song for him.
It is the World Cup of soccer. So we celebrated the birthday in German colors.
These muffins were self-colored – great!
Now I am on holiday on Fehmarn Island. We live on this boat.
From the top there were nice views in all directions.
Time to relax.

Today we drove to Orth, a village in Western Fehmarn. This sign was funny.
A beautiful old building.
Oh - a pirate.
I love lighthouses.
They have a big marina. But our marina has more places for yachts.
I saw some kite-surfers.
A beautiful flower.
Kaiser Wilhelm was here, I think.
We walked along the long harbor.
It is a nice place here.
Back home I met a gull and talked to her.

Today we went to Burgstaaken. There was a boat of the sea rescue service.
I went onto the bridge and were the Captain of the boat.
This is my crew.
Time to relax.

There was an open-air-bridge.
You need a smaller boat to rescue people in danger.
A submarine – I only took a photo from the outside.
This is the harbor for the fishermen.
The old pilot-house is now a restaurant.
You can climb in the silos – we didn’t want to climb.

We saw our house boat in the distance.

There are big tombs on Fehmarn – called Langbetten. We went to one of it.
The sacrifice stone was in the middle.
These stones were the guardians.
It was so interesting here.
Then I met a big slug.
We walked over a golf course.
Back home it was sunny and a nice view over the harbor.
There was our house boat.

Burg is the biggest and only town on Fehmarn. Here you see the town hall.
There were many nice old buildings and flowers.
Burg is really old.
Even the palm trees celebrate the Soccer Worldcup.

There are some high banks on Fehmarn – I visited one of it.
Look - the Fehmarnsundbrücke.
It’s great to be on the beach.
Nice – but not so high.

We are in Puttgarden. Big ferries start here to Denmark. We should have a good view at the end of the mole.
There were the ferries – hopefully one of it will start soon.
There is one - the Deutschland.
It is so big – and go through the small harbor gate.
Look – the small white dot in the distance. It is a ferry from the other direction.
It comes closer.
Now we will go back – it is very windy.
Maybe you can see it in the waves.
We made it to the mainland.
This is not another ship, but a shop. Scandinavian buy alcohol there on their way home.
No photos from inside, but it was really interesting. And I liked this great can!
