When I arrived at my new house I went up to my new mom's room to rest.
Then a weird looking black and white dude came in so i quickly went under the pillows. He sat their for awhile telling me that he didnt want to hurt me and he wanted to be my friend. So eventually I came out from underneath the pillow. I found out his name is Mumble we talked for hours. |
pkboo Posted Oct 19, 2007, 4:35 pm |
I was invited to Buntraveler's Halloween party. I am so exited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I quickly wrote a note
Then I climbed into my box and Mumble passed me the note I wrote with a little bookmark ribbon for my host. |

Oksana oksanashevtsova77@gmail.com Posted Dec 17, 2007, 3:39 pm |
Today I've finally came to Novosibirsk, Russia to my new host Oksana. She received me in the morning and took to her office, so I spent the whole day there. It was very interesting!
At first I climbed on the Christmas tree that stood in Oksana's office. Here I am And I hung some Christmas balls on the tree. Then I worked with Oksana- we were making some financial report. When the report was finished we went to another room. There was one more Christmas tree. Here am I with my new friends teddy bears under the tree I found so-o many magazines there! When the secretary went for a lunch, Oksana asked me to replace her for an hour. It was very funny! I got some sweets for that job and was allowered to dance on the Egyptian drum Now I feel very tired and sleepy, so I'm going to bed. Tomorrow I will tell you about Oksana's house, her pets, show you some new photos with my new friends and besides that Oksana promised to take me for a walk |

Hello!!! Today I've had a very interesting day! Before going to Oksana's work, I ate Russian soup- borsch- it turned out to be very strange but I like it
Then Oksana asked me to feed her Guinea pigs- she has 2 Guinea pigs- Sonja and Dusja. They are so-o funny! After that I chatted with Oksana's teddy bears for a while. And then we went to Oksana' office where we worked till lunch. Then we ate pizza and went to the nearest park for a walk. Here I am on the snowy tree- - on snow -on the fur tree - near the Voznesensky Cathedral -near the Novosibirsk circus -Here I'm near the place where Russians buy Christmas trees for their houses and flats. -While we were walking we saw some very big cars that were clearing away the snow from the roads. So I liked our walk very much, but it was a bit cold for me- -15'C So we returned into the office where I met a very interesting guy in a very beautiful clothes. Oksana said that it was an actor who took part in congratulating Oksana's company's business partners with coming New Year and Christmas. This boy wore the costume of April from the Russian fairy-tale "12 months". So he was visiting different companies and presenting them with Christmas gifts- sweets and flowers. I had a very long day and I feel tired now. So I'm going to sleep! Bye! (I like sleeping with Oksana's cat We have become good friends with Musya! |

friends Minerva and Blue Rat. There were some snow sculptures at the playground. Here we are with Father Frost (like our Santa Clause, but in Russia they call him Father Frost): Here we are with Father's Frost grand-daughter Snegurochka: And then we felt a bit frozen and we went with Oksana to the cinema house. We watched the "The National Treasure2"- we liked that film very much! And here are some photos from the cinema house: Tomorrow we are going to help our host to clean the flat and decorate the Christmas tree. |

Oksana oksanashevtsova77@gmail.com Posted Jan 1, 2008, 6:57 pm |
Today we've been sleeping till 10 a.m. Then we had a very tasty New Year Day's breakfast , watched an old Russian New Year comedy and went to the Central park of Novosibirsk to see the big Christmas tree.
All city was covered by white snow and it was snowing heavily! The city was almost empty- no cars, no people... It looked very strange, because Novosibirsk has 1,5 mln of citizens. We thought that all those 1,5 mln people were having rest after celebrating all night I liked walking in the Central Park! I saw there a very big Chrisrmas tree and lots of sculptures made of snow. We were playing there with Curly for about an hour. |
Oksana oksanashevtsova77@gmail.com Posted Jan 4, 2008, 2:33 pm |

Today Oksana has taken me and Curly to the exhibition devoted to Christmas. We've seen there many very beautiful Christmas trees and other decorations.
Then we also saw Budha: And here I'm with the ancient Russian town made of wood: |

Merry Russian Christmas! Do you know that Russian have their Christmas not on Dec. 25, but on Jan.7? It's because Russian belong to Orthdox church.
Today Oksana has taken me and Curly to the cafe. She has there a meeting with her friends. She and her friends make teddybears and other toys. As you can see we met there many new friends. We were chatting and drinking capuchino with sweets After that Oksana took us to the Russian church. We could hear the real bell there and church singing. Then we went to the mall. We went shopping there and then had a lunch in a cafe. And there was a skating rink! By the way we found there a very interesting shop with teddybears and clothes for them- A Build A Bear Workshop. I liked it very much!! |
Oksana oksanashevtsova77@gmail.com Posted Jan 20, 2008, 2:09 pm |
Today is a great Christian holiday in Russia-Epiphany- the day of the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River by John the Baptist.
We've decided to go for a walk today. At first Oksana took me and Curly to the central park- there was the festival of snow sculpture. People from many other Russian cities and former Soviet republics took part in that festival. Most of all I liked the sculpture of a camel and a dove with a town. And here it is the monument of 2 storks- the symbol of a new family. Newly- weds often come here to make photos with these storks. And here is the Chapel of Alexander Nevskij (May 30, 1220? – November 14, 1263) - the national Russian hero. He was the Grand Prince of Novgorod and Vladimir during some of the most trying times in the country's history. Commonly regarded as the key figure of medieval Russia, Alexander was the grandson of Vsevolod the Big Nest and rose to legendary status on account of his military victories over the German invaders while employing shrewd conciliatory policies towards the powerful Golden Horde. We also found some old Russian wooden houses- Oksana thinks that they were build in the begining of the 20th century... They look really very beautiful and unusual near modern buildings... Then we went to the dolls exhibition, but Oksana mixed the dates, so it turned out that the exhibition was not opened yet. Luckily Oksana met there a friend of her who invited us to come in and see the dolls before the exhibition would be opened. That was very nice! All the dolls were made by Novosibirsk authors. Then we went to the Voznesensky Cathedral. You know because the Epiphany all Russian churches were overcrowded. People came there to attent the church service and to take some holly water home. |
Oksana oksanashevtsova77@gmail.com Posted Jan 20, 2008, 3:05 pm |
Today Curly is leaving to Moscow to his next host Kristle.
We wake up very early and Oksana baked the apple pie. We had our breakfast- the apple pie turned to be very tasty! Then we had some time with Curly- we were chatting and reading a magazine. We tried to be merry, but still we felt very sad because we had to part with our good friend. We all wish you a nice trip, dear Curly!! We are already missing you! |
Oksana oksanashevtsova77@gmail.com Posted Jan 20, 2008, 4:38 pm |
When we parted with Curly, Oksana took me for a walk to another district of Novosibirsk. We could see there many old buildings (build approximately in the 1950s years), many interesting sculptures made of metal and stone.
For example it's a sculpture of a poet- looks very lovely And this is the monument to the Soviet soldier who was fighting with Nazi Germany in 1941-1945 years. This is the sculpture of a clown. Me and trees in snow... Looks very beautiful! The Gorky Palace of Culture (named after the famouse Russian writer Maxim Gorky. The drug-store: This is the sculpture of a famouse Russian fairy-tale's character- Doctor Aibolit (like English Doctor Dolitle) And here I'm with the sculpture of a crow from a Russian fable "Fox and crow" writen by Ivan Krylov (February 13, 1769 - November 21, 1844) - Russia's best known fabulist) in 1807. Look what a huge umbrella! It stands near the shoes shop. And here I'm near the Palace of Sport "Siberia". Frankly speaking it doesn't look like a palace at all. It's a big stadium for winter sports like ice hockey and figure skating. This is another monument which consists of 3 statues of women: |

kristl Posted Mar 3, 2008, 12:11 pm |
Today we went for a visit to another flat where Kristl had some business to do. She said that we won't be bored cause there're many other toys there that we would be glad to meet.
She was absolutely right!! She told us about a very old dog called S'ema that lives in a big armchair. She suggeste us to visit him cause he can tell us many interesting stories. And so did we. All the TV-bears decided to visit S'ema. We took some sweets to give him. We came to S'ema one by one introducing ourselves and asking him to tell us something interesting. He was very happy that we visited him, he said that it's quite boring to sit all days there on the armchair, though he has his best friend with him. I decided to kiss him, cause I liked him very much. Then we all sat around him and listened many wonderful stories and fairy-tales!! That was a perfect day! I hope to visit S'ema once more and tell him about my adventures as a ToyVoyager. |
kristl Posted Mar 3, 2008, 12:17 pm |
Here're some fotos from the post office where all the TVs came to meet me.

kristl Posted Apr 19, 2008, 9:35 pm |
Hey-hey, today we've made a great sightseeing tour in the Moscow centre!!
We walked in the small street right in the centre when we saw (just near us!!) a fire in a house (there were many fire engines and many people) - we went from this place as soon as possible. It was there - you can still see the smoke.. The photo is taken prom a small square near the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour This way is Kremlin: And in that direction is the Moscow-River: |
kristl Posted Apr 19, 2008, 9:39 pm |
Then we went to The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts:
All the pupils are use to visit this museum, there are alot of interesting things there, but almost all of them are copies of famous artworks, good for studying, I think |
kristl Posted Apr 19, 2008, 9:44 pm |
We wanted to visit Kremlin, but it was closed cause it was Thurthday
I studied the plan of Kremlin in details to be able to find there everything I want if I get there one day. Then we went to the Red Square. Behind me you can see the Nikolskaya Tower and the State Historical Museum. Here is GUM - the most famous shopping centre in Moscow: In front of it there was a skating rink but now it's being removed. The walls of Kremlin: The Spasskaya Tower: The Saint Basil's Cathedral: Another wall of Kremlin and more towers: |
kristl Posted Apr 19, 2008, 9:44 pm |
After walking in the city centre we went to the post office, cause Curly, Snowy and Rangler had to leave Moscow. I wished them all a wonderful journey and many adventures!!
|
kristl Posted Jun 6, 2008, 5:04 pm |
It was really a strange trip... I spent many long days in my box - good that it was not too small and quite comfortable, but when I got out - I found myself in Moscow again - and it was Kristl who met me. She said that my parcel was not taken from the post office - very strange - I'm sure my next hosts were waiting for me.. But I'm safe and sound here and will try to get England again this Sunday
|
kristl Posted Jun 6, 2008, 6:30 pm |
Can you imagine?? I saw the Rainbow today!!! And even two!!! At the same time!!!
Can you see them? |
Steve & Helly Posted Jul 15, 2008, 12:12 pm |
Hurrah, I've finally arrived!
What a story. I travelled a long time, rested for a while and then travelled along time back to Russia. Then it was off again on another long trip to England. Steve & Helly didn't know I'd arrived the first time. They didn't receive a card telling them I was at the sorting office. Then they got a letter saying there was a 'packet' - do you mind! - that hadn't been collected. When Helly turned up at the sorting office they said it must have been to do with the packet she'd picked up the previous week and had been sent in error as there was nothing for her to collect! So, I was returned to Russia. But now I'm here! I've done lots of exciting things already but Helly's delayed in writing up about them as she's preparing for a teddy bear fair this weekend. |
Steve & Helly Posted Jul 19, 2008, 5:19 pm |
I've decided to show you Helly and Steve's garden.
When they moved in, four years ago, it consisted of concrete, a huge shed and the pond. Helly's done the work herself - well, Steve helped with the gravel! I started at the left, by the gate and Helly took photos of me turning around the garden clockwise. It's only a tiny garden but packed full of plants. I do like the summer house, I wonder if it's haunted? |
Steve & Helly Posted Jul 31, 2008, 6:15 pm |
Today I went 'raiding' in the 2CV. We stopped in a layby at the top of a hill and Elephonse & I posed on the bonnet of the car. I then looked back down the hill towards Chesil Beach. Chesil Beach is a long shingle spit, which has water both behind and in front of it. It's quite an amazing sight. |
Steve & Helly Posted Aug 5, 2008, 7:08 am |
Here I am at a huge man made hill called Silbury.
No one knows why it's here although there are some theories. It's pretty impressive! Once upon a time it was possible to climb it but it started to erode. English Heratage have just completed some 'filling in' work as it was collapsing into some tunnels which a Victorian archeologist dug. |
Steve & Helly Posted Aug 11, 2008, 3:40 pm |
Ohh, spooky things have happened in the night and a crop circle has appeared. Some people think crop circles are messages from aliens . . . I'm not so sure!
I climbed up to the left of the crop circle but the view wasn't great. However, I did get a good view of Cherhill white horse and the monument at the top of the hill. |
Steve & Helly Posted Aug 11, 2008, 3:45 pm |
As the view wasn't brilliant, and the climb was quite hard work, I walked along the top of the ridge.
The crop circle is in the second yellow field but it's not very clear in the photo. Can you see the line of trees at the top of that field? That's where I started my walk! Some of the walk is over the ancient earth works of an iron age fort. You can see the white horse behind me again. |
Steve & Helly Posted Aug 19, 2008, 8:50 am |
So, it was back down the hill to the road.
And, guess what? The view was the bast from the road side!! |
Steve & Helly Posted Sep 18, 2008, 5:44 pm |
We set off really early in order to be able to park in Avebury before we had to pay!
First stop though was at the Adam and Eve stones. People walking along the path at night have heard someone walking along behind them. When they've turned there's no one there! They've continued walking and the footsteps have overtaken them. As this happens the people have felt a rush of wind, as if someone has walked by. |
Steve & Helly Posted Sep 18, 2008, 5:47 pm |
Then it was Avebury itself, the first photo is a view of the high street.
Behind the stones in the second photo can you see a building? This is a barn belonging to Avebury Manor. The Manor is haunted by the ghost of a cavalier soldier. He sits in an upstairs room as if waiting for his loved one. People know when he's been as there's a very strong smell of roses in the room. Now I'm off home to America. |
pkboo Posted Sep 26, 2008, 5:54 pm |
Minerva arrived home today |
