I arrived safe and sound this morning, and glad that I'm not actually MADE of my namesake because I would have melted in this Australian heat!

Chocolate arrived me here in Tokyo in the rainy afternoon.
He is a cutieee boy. He looked a little bit tired from a long journey from Australia.
It is a very cold outside, so he is with me in a cozy and well warm room. If weather is permitted, I am going to show him
around my area this weekend.
He is very fine now and will enjoy his first exploration in Tokyo.

It has been more than a month since Chocolate arrived here in my house last month. I have been quite busy with some other things and weather in Tokyo was gloomy and windy in cold winter.

Today, on March 16 weather has turned to be very fair just like a spring, so I have finally taken him to the downtown area of Tokyo. The most famous temple in Tokyo is called
Sensou-ji Temple in Asakusa.
I took some pictures of him at this temple. As the climate was very mild, there were crowded with many tourists including overseas visitors. This temple is a kind of a melting pot of races in Tokyo. I heard people speaking in English, German, Spanish and some unknown languages.

The temple has a long history. The shopping arcade leading to the mail hall of Sensou-ji Temple is in full of enjoyment. There are many kinds of Japanese souvenirs such as dolls, magnets, pins or postcards. I can say that you can find anyting whatever you want.

I found somehing nice for Chocolate's mother at souvenior shop. I prayed for his next safe voyage to Germany in the main hall of the temple.

After spending busy hours there, we went to Ueno close to Asakusa by subway. Ueno has some famous art museums and a famous Ueno Zoo. I took photos of Chocolate in front of Western national art gallery in Ueno Park. When autumn come, some ineteresting art enents are held at some art musems in Ueno. I love to watch art works, so I sometimes
viist Ueno when I have some free time.

Here are 2 photos of Ueno Stations, whish may be interesting to see one of Japanese normal stations in Tokyo.
Tomorrow I am going to take him some spots in my neighborhood. Hope that he will enjoy seeing them.

It has been raining or very cloudy since last Sunday. I wanted Chocolate to take him around my neighborhood, but it is not luck about fine weather yet.
Weather forecast says that cherry blossoms will start bloom this weekend, if weather is fine. I will keep my fingers crossed for a mild spring weenend.

I took a picture in front of town city hall in my area. Chocolate and my future toy, Uri-bou sits on the chair. Can everyone see them? It is too small to figure out them

This is Japanese funny dance that perfomed at Ueno Station when we just went through inside the station. it was a pity that we could not see all dance performances.

I really hope that I can see him a little bit of beautiful cherry blossom before leaving for the next destination, Germany, so I pray for fair weather this weekend.

Happy Easter from Japan :p
We don't celebrate Easter at all in Japan, so we don't have any holidays in Tokyo, either.
No luck for fine weather today. Very wendy and gets cold again. I took chocolate and my future toy voyger, Uri-bou aroud my area.
I live in the uptown, residential area in Tokyo. Compared with the downtown area, Asakusa, this is much quieter than that place. Here are some pictures of Chocolate and Uri-bou taken today in the public park.

After we took a short walk in the park, I just visited a post office to post some cards to overseas. Here is the picture.

We went to a nearby railway station to have some break.
We have many Starbucks cafes in Tokyo. I ordered greentea late and spinach maffin. They were so yummy.

Maybe on Sunday we will expect a little bit of Cherry blossoms here. Hopefully!

Tomorrow Chocolate flies to the next destination, Germany, so today is his last day to stay with me here in Tokyo.
My decision was right. Some of cherry blossoms start to bloom in my neighborhood. We had a mild spring weather in Tokyo. We visited again the public part to take some photos of Chocolate with cherry blossoms. Here are these pictures.

http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc287/cockie_mieko/GetAttachment.jpg

At least he could view them before going for Germany. Weather forecast declared that cherry blossoms in Tokyo started to bloom. It is a great pity that he can not see real beauty of these blossoms. Especially a night view is really wonderful.

I also prepared for our traditional dishes for him.
Rice, Miso soup, Tofu hamburg and other simple vegetable meals.
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc287/cockie_mieko/food1.jpg

I do hope that he enjoy staying, seeing and experiencing Japanese life with me. He could take enough rest and some refreshment. After Chocolate leaves here, I will miss him so much. but the next kind host is waiting for him.
Please keep a nice and great journey throughout the world.
Please take care, Chocolate! Good luck to him.

Today Chocolate arrived in Germany after a long journey from Japan. He was really tired and he only wanted to sleep. Therefore I was able to take only some photos, which I will show to you during the next days. Chocolate came together with some great Japanese chocolate - I promised him to eat this chocolate together with him during the next days ;) !

Sorry, you had to wait for so long, but here are the news and pictures from Chocolate.

When Chocolate arrived, I found two wonderful Japanese chocolates and we ate it together. Then Chocolate was really tired. He didn't have to sleep alone during the first night in a new country. Two other special bears took care of him.

On our first weekend Chocolate and Hoppity had been on a trip to the lake near our house. Both liked to be outside together.

After the first week, Hoppity and Chocolate have become good friends. They are really funny and they like to play. Therefore we went to the playground. On the way they couldn't wait and Chocolate started riding on Hoppity. They loved the time on the playground - especially the time when they could play in the sand.

Some days later we went on a trip to the castle of Paffendorf.

On Chocolate last trip we went to Cologne. We started with a big burger - Chocolate really loved fast food ;) and then we went through the city, meeting a gorilla, watching at some old Roman walls, walking to the Rhine and visiting the Cologne Cathedral.

After that trip Chocolate left us - and now he's going to England, of course with some German chocolate in his envelope :) !

Bye-bye Chocolate...

Well to be honest, I arrived here very safely but in all honestly my host was a bit slow on the uptake...  if you know what I mean.  But as they say better late than never... I have been having fun here, I have met Count, Henry the Adventure Hound, Shirley Sheep, Mocke so we have had good fun.  Lots of updates but today I helped my host pack for her holiday ... she is going with a girlfriend to the Dominican Republic so thats quite exciting to go onto a plane etc.  and to sit in the sun as Honiton doesnt get much of that.

I did help her pack and tried on her swimming costumre but decided getting wet was not my cup of tea.  Packed my sunglasses too.

Well we arrived in the dominican republic, it was very hot, so we had to just go and lie on the beach and enjoy beach life.  It was very hard to do, just to lie back and listen to the waves flowing onto the beach... aaaaaahhhh this is the life for me.... life by the ocean ... I am sure that is a song, or is that life on the ocean wave....

Today we went on a monster truck it was so much fun, then we had a water fight with other trucks, luckily I kept safe but my host got very wet....  we saw some of the inner Dominican Republic it is a lovely country with lovely people.  They are not rich but they always seem very happy.  The beaches are beautiful, with palm trees... but it is very hot.

We then stopped for BBQ lunch that was fun too, my buddies were with me, Count and Mocke

Today we were going on a trip in a taxi... my host and her girlfriend were told not to go out on their own and advised to go only by taxi which they did.  My hosts husband gets ill so he cannot come to some countries.  Anyway we went on a cable car, it was so very high mummy, even I felt a little giddy... even more to make me dizzy was the armed guard who escorted us and watched to keep us safe.  We thought that might be a little over the top, lets face it so high up who could get to us!!!

When we got up there we found some pretty  flowers and I just had to smell them, I nearly fell over!!!!

We saw a pretty lizard, we had to move very fast to take a photo but nothing stops me.

From the cable car we saw a statue of Christ, underneath were banana plantations, coconuts, olive groves, so much greenery and we could even see the sea....

We rested yesterday and so today we decided to take a look around the hotel.

It was very pretty, and we overlooked the pool so that was good.  The cleaning lady had done a pretty swan with towels for our room, we tried to do the same but not exactly with the same effect. !!

We sat and watched the flamingos and had some nice cool drinks, it was very hot today again.

As you will see from the last picture there was a tropical storm, I have never seen so much rain in so little time.  The lightening was very frightening, I hid with my host behind the curtain, Mocke wanted to go out in it but I stopped him he is quite a little fellow and would have been washed away.... would have Petra said!!!

Well its me again, here I am packed for my travels, I look a bit like Indiant Jones dont you think.  We had a lovely day out in Torquay this is South Devon.  It was a lovely sunny day.  My host took a day off work to take me out... well not especially but thats what she told me.

We went to a place called Babbacombe Model Village, and saw lots of little houses, it was beutiful...  lots of little people and no one moved, wonderful!!

We then played golf, I was then put with a pirate because my host lost by 2 points to me!! ha ha ha... but then I couldnt laugh as the Pirate was very big and nasty looking..

And then tomorrow, I move on I have to say good bye its been fun and now I have met Dawsun and Miss E too, lots of friends to play with while I have been here.  I am going to Israel to Alleycate, now that should be interesting.. do they speak English .. maybe I should practice just in case>>>>

I've been in Jerusalem for a while now, but it's currently very hot and we avoid walking around... anyway, here's a long-due report from a nice little walk around the university which we (me and another cute bear - Helen Bear) did a while ago. We had a look at the science museum (from outside), then at some government buildings, including the Knesset (Parliament).

Then we also visited the Wohl Rose Garden, which is a big park near the Knesset. Not a lot of roses there, but many green lawns and trees, and even a nice little lake.

This weekend I had travelled to the north of Israel, to visit the alleykitten during his vacation with the family on the farm in moshav (village). The landscapes are great, with the trees, fruits and flowers. There's also a big playground for children, with many other toys, including a couple of monster bears!

I walked around the farm, met some horses and cats, and was very tempted to swim in a pool...

At the evening we made a campfire. I slept well, as we had a whole unused apartment for ourselves, on the 2nd floor; apparently it was used for children as there was also a lot of toys for me to play with!

At the morning I stayed on the terrace and looked at the garden and trees and flowers once more, before going back to Jerusalem.

Today we had a wonderful walk around the University campus, which looks more like a public park, with the flowers and trees, and especially with all the people resting on the lawns.

We also visited a few bird exhibitions where I had some fun with the fake birds! Then we saw fountains (water is good when the weather is so hot, but I had to stay out of it). And in the late evening we went home.

On the weekend, we've been at a barbecue! it was in the small vineyard outside the city. We run around the garden, tasting all the fruits, and tried to catch fish in the pool (but only caught a frog).
