Hi everyone...

I arrived safely in Australia today! I am so glad to be out of that small bag and able to look around me. It was sooooo hard not to eat all the sweets in the bag on the way here!

I've sadly arrived on a wet yucky day today. I can't go out and do much, but I sat and gazed out the window at Australia in the rain!

I'm sure I'll have LOTS of fun here in Australia. Especially when it gets sunny again!

It's been a bit boring here in the last few days - the rain settled in and we really couldn't do much except watch TV!

I've been helping with lots of housework - Kylie's got me working in the laundry washing and drying clothes, as well as doing some vacuuming...

We did go to trivia last night at the local pub and had a beer. We WON at trivia, beating the other teams by two points. Everyone was very happy about that!

The weather report is that things are going to be better soon, so hopefully we'll be able to do some more soon...

I felt right at home today! For lunch I went to a cute little French restaurant in Wyong, near Kylie's house.

Here I am out the front. It's almost like the sign is talking about me! I'm a little frog! LOL

http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/2884/gargouille2qu0.jpg

Inside there were some beautiful paintings on the walls, plus some other frog friends for me to visit. It was good to be able to talk "French" and "Frog" again...

Will this rain ever end? There was a tiny bit of sunshine this afternoon, but it didn't last long. There have been some very impressive electrical storms which Kylie tells me are common in Australia in summer too!

I was a big help today. Kylie was doing som scrapbooking with her photos and I helped. I tried not to get too much glue on myself!

http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/8751/0036ls4.jpg

I am getting very itchy feet and want to be out EXPLORING Australia, not doing craft and helping cook dinner and changing nappies!

I'm hoping the rain will stop sooner rather than later or my messages back to my mum are going to be very boring!

Today is Sunday, so we all went to church in the morning and then went out to do a bit of shopping. There was actually a tiny bit of sunshine, so I got my photo taken with a friend (Hippity who's from Sweden) in front of the fountain at the local shopping centre.

We had some McDonalds for lunch today, I helped Elizabeth who's only 2, drink her orange juice. Yummmmmm...

A new toy voyager came to visit us today! Kari has come to spend some time. I'm sure we're all going to have some fun together.

The sun! It came out today and I got to see Australia in it's true beauty! We went to Terrigal today to have a bit of fun in the sand at the beach. The sky was such a gorgeous deep blue colour and the water was sparkling and clear. I wanted to jump right in, but Kylie said it was salty water and I really prefer fresh...

I posed for a photo with my fellow travellers Kari and Hippity.

And here I am on my own, with all the sail boats in the background...

I have been doing some baking today! We made a really yummy lime syrup cake. I was a really big help. I used the mortar and pestle to grind the lime zest and sugar together. Very delicious...

http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/5233/001pw2.jpg

I also helped mix the cake with my friends Hippity and Kari

When we were done I got to eat some - very yummy, particularly as we made it ourselves!

Plus I met a very scary lizard who looked like he'd eat frogs for lunch - a komodo dragon...

I also had fun with an emu! They're big birds...

It was really fun day.

Today we all went to mother's group at the local shopping centre and had a cup of tea. I was very kind and shared with Kari!

http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3756/001ks3.jpg

It was fun with all the little babies there, and it was nice to meet the other little teddies and toys they had brought with them.

It was very hot, so we spent most of the day in the air conditioning in the shops. I enjoyed it as I'm not used to these hot conditions!!

There's been a really big storm tonight - lots of thunder and lightning, but I have been very brave! I am very proud of myself for such a little frog!

Sorry it has been so long since I've written home! Rest assured that I have been having heaps of fun here with this family! It was my new friend Matthew's 30th birthday last week, and we had a big party. Because everyone was sooo busy cooking food and organising everything I didn't get to have any photos taken. I got to eat some yummy pavlova though!

I've been reminiscing tonight - looking back on my travelog so far...

Kylie's also been putting me to work cleaning the house...

Washing:

I am right now bundled up tightly in a package on my way to my next host!! I have had heaps of fun with Kylie, and almost didn't want to leave...

Kylie said she'd miss me heaps and told me to enjoy myself and be a good frog. Aren't I always a good frog??  :D

I arrived in Scotland a while ago, but my host has been busy with university coursework, so we've not been updating the travel log! I have visited Edinburgh very briefly, but not the tourist areas since it was just on the way to the university. I did get to ride on a train though, and that was fun!

This morning my host and I decided to work on the last piece of coursework she has due before her exams, a poster for her forensics class! Just as we were about to start, there was a knock at the door and the postman delivered Yuri to us! So we all worked on the poster together! It was messy work, but the outcome was great! We are very proud of it!

What do you think? Are you impressed?  B)

My host says she will be busy with things on the computer today, so we are going to watch a movie. We are trying to decide between Death Sentence and Troy. I can't make up my mind!
