Hello everyone,

I'm Coop, a little shy bear who lives in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.
I live here with my friends but today they went on trail.
Yesterday we had a big party

We drink a lot of wine and today i had the worst hangover ever. This was the first time i drink alcohol and the feeling you get from it the next morning is terrible!
I thought i was really sick but thank god it wasn't fever

The whole day i felt sad and i thought it was because of the hangover.
Mirdin (the boy who lives here) and i were drawing a picture and that didn't cheer me up

The puppet of the boy here try to cheer me up but that didn't worked either

Normally when we drawing or somebody hug me i'm the happiest bear ever. Suddenly i knew what was wrong

I just missed my friends! So i decided to go on trail also. I find it a little bit scary because i never done something on my own, but with your help it's not so scary anymore.

If you want to host me please send a pm to Eryah and i come to you!

Big hug,

Hello Family! I arrived safely in New York this morning. I'm tired from my journey so I will post some pictures later.

Posted Feb 16, 2008, 9:18 pm
I arrived in New York this morning and boy am I happy to be here! It was a long cold trip! I'm happy that I was wearing a sweater, I think I would have froze without it. Michele opened my travel bag so I could get out. I was really nervous and stayed in there for awhile. I heard voices saying that it was okay to come out. I peeked my head out and saw 3 bears awaiting me. When I came out of my travel bag I met Coco, Nicki Bear and Honey Bear. We talked for a little while about who I was and where I came from. We posed for a picture together then I was ready for a good nap. I think I will be save here! I'll update again soon.

Hugs and Kisses

Since today was Saturday we were able to leave the house. Michele and Daryl had to run some errands and said that we could come along. We waited on the sidewalk in front of Michele's house because Daryl was getting the Jeep. As you can see everything is snowy. While we waited we asked if we could make a snowbear (like a snowman but instead a bear like us) in the snow. We got started but it was too cold on our paws, plus Daryl was ready with the Jeep. We started our drive to place #1 (the post office) but half way there Daryl realized that he forgot something so we had to go back to the house. So here we are in the Jeep waiting for Daryl to run in the house and get what he forgot.

Hi there Coop!
I'm glad you made it to the USA!
I can see you have so much fun and that's a beautifull snowbear you make with your friends. I miss you a lot but i'm happy for you  :D

We had a very busy day today! First we went to the post office so Michele could pick up the mail. We stayed in the car and listened to some music with her husband. After that we headed to Utica, NY which is about 30 minutes from Rome. We went to the Pet Supply place to pick up some treats for Riley (Michele's dog). It smelled funny in that store. We didn't get out of Michele's bag for fear that something might happen to us. Next we went to Target, it was a nice store but very busy. After Target we were all hungry for lunch. We couldn't decide where we wanted to go until we saw a Panera Bread. Nicki Bear said that she has eaten there before and that it was very yummy. We all agreed thats where we should go. It was SO busy! The lady taking our order told us that we might not find a place to sit. Luckily Michele found a place to eat but the table was dirty. She said that it would be best if we stay in the bag until we left.

After we had lunch we headed back to Rome. Michele said that she had some place special to take us. It's called the Fort Stanwix National Monument. Since there was so much snow we were unable to go up to or in the fort. Neither Michele or her husband knew much about the monument so we all went into the visitors center to learn more. You can visit this website to learn more about the monument. Fort Stanwix Monument

Posted Feb 20, 2008, 4:34 pm
Once in the visitors center we learned that;

Known as "the fort that never surrendered," Fort Stanwix, under the command of Col. Peter Gansevoort, successfully repelled a prolonged siege, in August 1777, by British, German, Loyalist, Canadian and American Indian troops and warriors commanded British Gen. Barry St. Leger. The failed siege combined with the battles at Oriskany, Bennington, and Saratoga thwarted a coordinated effort by the British in 1777, under the leadership of Gen. John Burgoyne, to take the northern colonies, and led to American alliances with France and the Netherlands. Troops from Fort Stanwix also participated in the 1779 Clinton-Sullivan Campaign and protected America's northwest frontier from British campaigns until finally abandoned in 1781.

It was very interesting to see all of the artifacts that were found when they started digging to build the monument. We could have spent hours there. After looking at the artifacts and such we went to the gift shop. We picked up a couple things to remember our trip. Michele said that she will send them home in a few days.

Posted Feb 20, 2008, 4:43 pm
Our last stop for the day was the grocery store. We were all so tired after running all those errands today. Michele said that we had been out for almost 4 hours. She said that since we were so tired we could just relax in her bag until we got home. Thank goodness!

This morning my TV friend Piggy left with Michele's husband. They are going to Lima, Peru on a business trip. Piggy was nervous to be going so far from home, but we told that we are all far away from too and that you will get used to it. We posed for one last picture then he was off to the airport.

Goodbye Piggy! Have a safe trip!

Posted Feb 20, 2008, 5:25 pm
A new TV arrived today! We were all happy to find out who it was and where they had come from. Michele put the envelope on the table and all we could hear was scratching. Finally the envelope came open and there was a mouse in there! We said "Hello Mr. Mouse!" There was silence.........Suddenly we hear "Mouse?" "Who are you calling a mouse?" I'm a RAT and my name is Angus!!!" Gulp! We apologized for calling him a mouse and he accepted. We all sat together to learn more about Angus.

Posted Feb 20, 2008, 5:36 pm
Today Nicki Bear left to join the USATVT! We only knew each other for a short time, but we had a good friendship. We said our good byes and posed for one last picture.

Be safe Nicki! I will miss you!

Last night we got to see something rather amazing! I still can't believe what it was. During the day Michele told us that there was going to be a Lunar Eclipse. She said that we had to see it as there wasn't going to be another one until 2010. We didn't know what an eclipse was but Michele explained it to us. At around 10pm we went outside to see the eclipse. It was too cold for us to be out there so Michele said that she would try and take pictures for us. They are a little hard to see but it really cool.

Posted Feb 26, 2008, 11:44 pm
Last night we were bored, so Michele asked if we wanted to read some books. Angus told her that we are still learning to read and speak English and that he don't know if we could read the books. She said that it was okay if we couldn't read English as these books had great pictures in them. She brought back 3 books from her spare room. Humm....they had interesting covers. We each picked a book that we wanted to read.

Posted Feb 27, 2008, 12:00 am
I decided that I didn't want to read my own book, I wanted someone to read to me. So I went to sit with Coco and she read to me. As we were reading this red monster head jump out from behind the book.  It yelled "Rrroarrrr" as if it were a tiger or something. I knew it was Angus! Coco told Angus that he didn't scare us and that he can come out from behind the book. He showed us the monster head and we all laughed.

Posted Feb 27, 2008, 12:05 am
After all of our joking around Honey Bear asked if we wanted to have a sleep over. We all said sure and settled in for the evening. Michele tucked us in and told us to go to bed.

Posted Mar 3, 2008, 5:35 am
We woke up this morning hoping to go outside and do some exploring, sadly that wasn't possible. We (Coco, Angus and I) all gathered at the window to see what type of day it was and we were sad to see that it was snowing. We didn't know what we were going to do. Michele said she had some cleaning to do and that we could help but we didn't want to. So we decided to take a nap and see how the weather was a little later.

Posted Mar 3, 2008, 5:45 am
We woke up from our nap and were hungry. Michele said that it was lunch time, so we went into the kitchen to help make some lunch. Michele said that we were having pasta, yumm....While the pasta was cooking she gave us some pretzels to eat. Angus decided that he wanted to find the right pretzel for each of us. Eating pretzels can make you thirsty so we shared some juice. Our lunch was ready and I could wait to eat.

Posted Mar 3, 2008, 9:47 pm
A new TV arrived today, his name is Fuzzy Wuzzy. He is very shy and doesn't like to talk much. Michele said that he will open up more once he gets to know everyone.

Posted Mar 5, 2008, 3:20 am
Yay! Today we were able to get out of the house. We were all happy as we haven't been able to go anywhere since Michele's husband left for Peru. Luckily he came home today and he and Michele had plans. She said that we could come as long as we were on our best behavior. Here we are in Michele's bag all ready to go.

Posted Mar 5, 2008, 3:29 am
Since Michele's husband was away on business on their anniversary they were making it up tonight. We all went to the 99 Restaurant for dinner. It seemed like a nice place from the outside. We were seated at our table and order something to drink. I shared Michele's mango Iced tea with her, it was pretty good!  :p Angus and I looked at the menu to try and help Michele find something to eat. There were too many choices.

Posted Mar 5, 2008, 3:41 am
I guess people in the USA order something before their meal called an appetizer. We weren't sure what it was but we were happy to try it. We decided on something called Boneless Buffalo Wings and Potato Skins. They were interesting, I'm happy that I had the chance to try them. The buffalo wings were a little hot for our little mouths. Michele said that most people dip them in blue cheese dressing so they aren't so hot. For dinner we ordered a bacon cheese steak burger with a side of loaded mashed potatoes (instead of french fries). Yum...... :p

Posted Mar 5, 2008, 3:48 am
After the waitress cleared the table we posed for one last picture before we headed to Target. Michele told us that we had to stay in her bag in Target. We didn't argue as we were so full from dinner. I think most of will be sleeping before we even get to Target. We were told that we will be running a lot of errands tomorrow. We are excited to see where we will go!

Posted Mar 8, 2008, 1:13 am
Today we helped Honey Bear look for a tea set for his Teddy Bear party. He has been begging his mom to let him have one and she finally said yes. Since we couldn't leave the house we decided to look on Ebay. Well Honey Bear did most of the looking, we (Angus, Coco and I) were just there for the entertainment. Every once in awhile Honey Bear asked us what we thought. He was quite the computer hog.  Michele told him that she wasn't going to buy the first set that he found. She said that we need to compare prices and find one in our budget.

Posted Mar 8, 2008, 1:30 am
Tonight Michele told Honey Bear that he could order the tea set for his party. He was so excited! We asked if there was anything we could do to help. Honey Bear asked Coco to make a list of the things he will need for the party. And Angus and I were supposed to read the numbers off of Michele's debit card to him. Our job was harder than you might think! That debit card looks like it has been used a lot.  ;) Angus thinks that Michele likes to shop.

Posted Mar 8, 2008, 1:44 am
Today Honey Bear's tea set arrived! He was sleeping when the mail man dropped it off so Michele opened it up for him. Later in the afternoon he woke up from his nap and showed him. He was SO happy and over a tea set. Once he stopped hugging the basket he opened it up so we could see. Honey Bear said that we can have a test party in a couple weeks.

Posted Mar 8, 2008, 1:57 am
This morning we ran a lot of errands like Michele said we would. But she didn't tell us that it was going to be so cold outside! First we went to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast, then we headed to Wal-Mart to do some shopping. After Wal-Mart we went to P&C and the dollar store. We went home to put the groceries away and for Michele's husband to take a nap. Later in the afternoon we went to Price Chopper and a gift shop. We were so tired at the end of the day. Michele told us that we had a couple of days to rest before we went out again. Phew..... We are going to need it.

Posted Mar 8, 2008, 2:24 am
A new TV arrived today! We were all anxious to see who it was. It was weird because there was a voice coming from the envelope, it was saying "Let me out of here!" Michele opened the envelope and Angus and I looked in to see who it was. It turns out that it was JamaBanaDukLuv. We posed for a picture than sat down to get to know each other better.

Posted Mar 8, 2008, 2:36 am
We were watching American Idol today when Michele's husband came out and asked if we wanted a snack to share. Of course we said yes! He said that he had something special for us since it was JamaBanaDukLuv's first night here. He came out with a slice of Marble Brownie cheesecake from the world famous Junior's in Brooklyn, NY. He said that Michele ordered it as a surprise dessert for their anniversary. Wow! We couldn't believe our eyes... :D

Posted Mar 8, 2008, 2:46 am
Another new TV arrived today. We were surprised to see such a small envelope. We thought that maybe someone was playing a trick on us. Michele opened the envelope so we could see who it was. It turned out to be a little bear named Hazle. She was little but very cute! Right away she started to tell us about herself and where she came from.

Posted Mar 9, 2008, 10:08 pm
When Michele, Daryl, Riley, Fuzzy Wuzzy, JamaBana and Hazle returned home from running errands and we were all ready for dinner. Thank goodness Michele and Daryl had picked up subs! There were 2 different subs for us to choose from, Ham and Cheese or Tuna. Fuzzy Wuzzy, JamaBana and I chose to eat the Ham and Cheese. Angus and I helped ourselves to the Cheetos. Michele said they were for everyone to share. Yumm....... :p

Posted Mar 9, 2008, 10:18 pm
After dinner JamaBana and Hazle wanted to meet Honey Bear and Piggy (they are Michele's at home TV's). So we all went down the hallway to Michele's room where they were staying. We climbed up on the bed and saw that Honey Bear was hiding. JamaBana was brave and said "Hello Honey Bear! My name is JamaBanaDukLuv and I will be staying at your house for a few weeks." There was no answer...So Hazle decided to try, she said "Hello Honey Bear! My name is Hazle and I have come to stay at your house for a little while." There still was no answer....Someone yelled for Michele to see what was wrong with Honey Bear.

Posted Mar 9, 2008, 11:13 pm
It turns out that Honey Bear was a little nervous to meet the new TV's. After Michele talked to him, he stopped hiding and came to greet everyone. We posed for a picture and sat around talking for the rest of the night.

Posted Mar 9, 2008, 11:45 pm
With the help of Michele's friend Laura we rescued some animals from the Goodwill. Here we are with our new friends. Some of them Michele is going to keep and some she is going to find new homes for. We were inspired by Nicki Bear and BunTraveler's rescue last week.

Posted Mar 9, 2008, 11:56 pm
This afternoon Honey Bear asked if we could meet him in the bedroom at 4pm for a special meeting! We were anxious to find out what Honey Bear was going to tell us. 4pm came and we met in the bedroom, we were surprised to find that Honey Bears friends were there too. We thought, this must be some announcement!

Posted Mar 10, 2008, 12:16 am
Once we arrived to the bedroom we each found a place to sit. Now we just had to wait for Honey Bear to tell us why we have all gathered here. Honey Bear came out and said;

"I want to thank everyone for coming to my meeting today. It's great to see everyone again. I'm sure you are all wondering why I've asked you to come here today. Well I'm having a teddy bear party in a few days and I would like to invite everyone to it."

The crowd erupted in cheer! WOW, a teddy bear party! What an honor to be invited. Of course we told Honey Bear that we would be there. I wonder how many of his friends will be coming? He sure does have a lot of friends.  ;) Michele asked everyone to squeeze in close so she could take a picture of us.

Posted Mar 13, 2008, 2:19 am
Today Fuzzy Wuzzy left on a special mission to Florida. He was asked if he wanted to join the USA TVT for a month. Of course he jumped at the chance! So we said our goodbyes and off he went....

Posted Mar 13, 2008, 3:08 am
Yay! Today we attended Honey Bear's Teddy Bear party/picnic. We went to the picnic spot to find Honey Bear waiting us. He had the Teddy Bear Picnic song playing. We decided to play bobbing for gummi bears first. Angus went first and I think he got a little too carried away.  Next was Hazle's turn, she was a little too small so Angus helped give her a little boost. I was too little to reach into the bowl so a nice hedgehog gave me a little help. I was so anxious to take my turn that I fell right into the bowl.  After everyone had taken a turn Honey Bear decided that he would dump the bowl of gummi bears on the table. Michele told him that it wasn't going to be a good idea but he did it anyhow. We all dove into the pile of gummi bears! It was fun....and no one was hurt!

Posted Mar 13, 2008, 3:23 am
After we cleaned up all the gummy bears, Honey Bear set up his tea set for us. Michele brought us some teddy bear shaped cookies and tea. Not everyone wanted tea so some had milk. We sat around talking and enjoying our snack. We told Honey Bear that maybe next time he can have his tea party in the park! He thought it was a good idea but said that it's too cold outside right now to do something like that.

Posted Mar 13, 2008, 3:41 am
Some of us were getting sleepy, this was more fun then we've had in awhile. Honey Bear said that before we go he has a surprise for everyone. We had no idea what it could be! He left and came back, when he came back he had these bags with him. We asked "what are these?" Honey Bear said these are goody bags and I made them special for everyone coming to my party. WOW! That was very thoughtful of Honey Bear. We couldn't wait to see what's inside of them. Michele says that she will send them home to our mom's when we are ready to leave her home.

Posted Mar 13, 2008, 3:49 am
Before we said our goodbyes and thank yous, we posed for one last picture.

Posted Mar 14, 2008, 3:38 am
Today was my last day in New York! I am now heading to France to stay with a new host. Before I could leave I had to say goodbye to all of my friends. I was really nervous about going to a new place and it turned out to not so bad! I wasn't the only one leaving today Coco was also heading to Germany to meet her family. I told her maybe we can travel in the same mail bag and keep each other company. It was a tearful goodbye, but maybe we will meet up again someday!

I'm very happy of my stay in France; I've visited Arras but the weather was so bad we had to go back to the flat. Pimboli joined us recently. He was happy to have some news from Michele. Sometimes i speak dutch with my friend Malcom. The old stay at home teddy bear Fanette read the "1001 night" for us.

Joyeuses P‚ques! (happy Easter).
I travelled by train to the countryside this week-end. We were welcomed at Fleur's parent's by a good tea. I love this place with all the animals : Austerlitz the cat and the big dog is Crumble. We had lot of chocolates for Easter. Then we all jumped into the car of Fleur's father.

Posted Mar 24, 2008, 11:48 pm
Fleur's grand-father lives an hour drive from her parent's in a small town called St Pol. We were invited to a good family lunch, with a good easter cake and more chocolates!

We had some snow at Easter evening when we drove back !! Joey the shetland pony loves too much the snow. Today i had fun with big stay at home toys : a bird from Ireland and a singing dog. I also played with the cat Austerlitz and another cute big dog called Alhea.

What happened here ? Too many things to write !! Last week-end, we welcomed a new tv: Youp the monkey, great another dutch friend ! But we had to say bye bye to Malcom (I'll miss him) and Supergrover who are going to Scotland ; Tony the english bear left us for the netherlands. Since Fleur has a bad cold, we didn't go to the market togather. She said we'll go on next saturday. i enjoyed watching this final of the soccer cup , even if Fleur's favorite team (Lens) lost the game. We had a good tea with an apple pastry called "chausson aux pommes" on sunday. There was a new tv : Muuimipeikko from Finland. She travelled to the USA and gave us some chocolate. She's so sweet.

On thursday, Fleur came back from her office with 2 new friends : a shaking snake and a crazy cow. they can't be stay at work toys anymore. On friday we welcomed a new tv : Stasiek the pinguin from Poland. Yesterday it was raining but we went to the market. Fleur got for us some pastries and made a good tea! Today we had a french brreakfast : a baguette or a croissant with hot chocolate. Very yummy! I went to the fair at the main square of Arras and had lot of fun. The weather wasn't better. Our friend Maybe will travel tomorrow so we all said good bye. We're going on holidays with Fleur who's off for 2 weeks.

On wednesday, we all get in Fleur's father's car to go to the city of Lille. This is a huge place, the main city in the north of France. I enjoyed the old streets and shopping.

Posted Apr 11, 2008, 12:13 pm
yesterday, the weather was fine and i enjoyed the garden with the flowers. These tulips remind me the Netherlands. We also had a good tea. Then i tried to help Gaelle (Fleur's sister) to bake a pizza.

Bonjour !
I went to St Omer (the city near Wardrecques) with Fleur & her mum for shopping yesterday. Then we had some rest with this white cat who took good care of us. After the market, we all went for a long walk along the channel river with Fleur, her mum, her sister Gaelle & Crumble the dog. We were all so tired it was good to have a tea with those dry waffle from the market. The river with the boat remind me my country, north of France isn't very different ...

What do you think of this tree of toys ? There was a river at the end of the garden but i didn't try to swim.

On wednesday, I've done a long walk in a place called Rommelaere. There you can see rivers and lakes. There was many birds to watch, especially the swanns, and some frogs. It was beautiful.

I came back to Arras , today. I've just finished to write my travel book and said a big bye to my friends. I'll probably go to Australia tomorrow, if Fleur doesn't sleep too much. I can't wait to discover a new place !

Posted Apr 28, 2008, 9:41 am
Hey! I arrived in Australia this morning... after the long Anzac weekend, so I'm glad to be here so quickly, there was a lot of room in the package that I was stuck in so I had more than enough breathing room! I had so much fun in France... and now that I've gotten to Australia it's gotten quite cool, it didn't get above 10'C today, it was very very windy... but I was rescued from the mail box while it was still sunny. Shortly after I came in, this is what happened:

LOTS of rain! You can even see hail coming down... this isn't common down in Australia lately. Sara says in the last while - the last 13 or so days it's been raining in Sydney, but it hasn't rained in the Central West in a long time, so this was much needed!

I also got to meet up with Gracy the famous toyvoyager rescuer.. :-) She's so nice! Hopefully a bit later this week I can see a bit more of Orange... we'll see how it goes... it's time for bed though, I'm quite tired from the traveling! Talk soon!

Posted May 3, 2008, 6:04 pm
Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Today we went to Cook Park, which is a park right in the middle of Orange, it's pretty old... but Sara showed us some interesting stuff... first we got a chance to feed the ducks!

It was cloudy out so I don't understand why I look washed out, but oh well... that was fun, these ducks are sure not ducks I've ever seen around, I wonder why they're different... but Sara got to get a close up of one that was pretty brave and wanted to approach us...

Once I tried to get a photo with him he quickly hopped back off into the water! Oh well!

After we left the duck pond both of us decided to lay down in the autumn leaves and play a little bit, there were sure a lot of them!

Straight after we went to the huge bird aviary they have in the middle of the park. On the left hand side they have cockatiels and medium sized parrots, in the middle is the cockatoos and much larger birds (one of them said hello to me when I walked up to it, and asked me if I had a biscuit - which Sara says is the main word for cookie down in Australia). Then on the far right hand side is the small finches and button quails.

I think it was a bit cold for the finches, because most of them Sara says live in much warmer climates than Orange is... so we didn't get to see any in that aviary - thankfully Sara has one of her own and we get to see and hear them all the time! They're so pretty! I'll definately get some photos of me with them together before I go to the next host!

Then next to the aviaries is this strange bandstand type thing... can you see us?

Here we are!...

...and then Sara realised that was a new plaque they put up very recently so we got to sit on the other one with the plaque put up when it was built for the city of Orange way back in 1908! Wow that's old!

...then last but not least we got to see this gorgeous fountain that was donated to the city of Orange in 1889... isn't it pretty?

Granted it's not a great photo because it's so dark, but to show you partially what it looks like check out a close up Sara took of it here. Isn't it pretty!

We decided then it was getting a bit cold so it was time to go and get a few more errands done and then time to warm back up at home... but on the way out Sara introduced me to another type of duck that's in the park. Sara's not sure what they're called but she's nicknamed them the "fancy" ducks... they're pretty cool looking aren't they?

Well I'll write again soon mom! I'm having heaps of fun, and I'm very glad I'm wearing a jumper because it's FREEZING!

Posted May 3, 2008, 6:18 pm
Hey! I haven't been doing much these last few days... Sara's been busy with chores around the house and helping Daniel with the home business that they run so I've just been tagging along and helping out where I can...

Today we did heaps of laundry and I helped Sara hang it on the line...

It's getting dark here pretty early so we got up as much as we could before the sun set to leave there until the next afternoon when it would be dry...

Then I got to show you this beautiful tree and the changing colors - it's getting well into Autumn and almost into Winter now - so there are some amazing colors happening on the trees (that aren't eucalyptus - which is pretty much every other tree down here, haha).

I've been helping Daniel - staying out of his way with the big signs, but here are his saw horses that he uses for the big signs... I decided to do a pose with one of them...

Then Sara took Andrew out for a bit of time outside today as well and she found a postcard that was lost in her front yard (blown away by wind) and sun washed and everything! It was a postcrossing card that she got, and the only thing she could read on the back was the postcard ID! How lucky for her! What a travel that postcard went through to finally be taken in!...

Sara says she'll be taking me and Gracy to the park later this week, we'll see how that goes! There's more rain in the forecast (except Sara says never to believe it unless it's actually raining) haha. We can hope! :-) Talk again soon mom! <3

Today we took a trip to Bathurst. Which is world famous for it's V8 Super Car race track. Every October Bathurst and Orange is absolutely crazy for people coming from all over Australia and the world to come and watch the races at Mount Panorama. So Sara and Daniel had a few errands to run in Bathurst so they decided to show me the Mount Panorama track, up close and personal... first we decided to leave kinda late in the morning around 11am, and just as we got there I got a photo of myself on the main street of Bathurst as we were headed to do Sara's mystery shopping in Kelso (just outside of Bathurst on the Sydney side).

After doing all the errands around Bathurst, we got to pose in front of the Mount Panorama sign as you're about to drive onto the race track.

...and then we got to learn a bit more about the famous race track...

...and of course - here's the big sign you can see from many kilometres away... the famous Mount Panorama sign on the side of the mountain!

I couldn't drive on it without getting a picture of that... :-)

...and now it's time to take a drive on the famous race track... keep in mind this is open to the public all year round and a lot of the people of Bathurst actually have to drive on it, just a little bit - to get on the road to their home. It's kinda funny. It was very cool anyways, here are the pictures of us on the track...

As you can see it was a very long track... and there are some very steep parts of the track, and thinking some CRAZY people go around that track at 120+ kilometres an hour is crazy! Sara said that there's been a few hits and misses with kangaroos on the track with races going on, last year, one kangaroo came very close but managed to get away after slipping and falling as some of the cars were coming around the bend! Pretty lucky kangaroo I must say!

After that we were pretty pooped... there was so much to see in Bathurst, so after that we got on the main street of Bathurst and got a shot of what the main town of Bathurst looks like...

If you look just right of the lamp post you can see the top of a church... that's this one...

...then we drove to the petrol station and filled up with a bit of petrol before continuing our long drive back to Orange...

...and now were back on the road to Orange... only 56 kilometres to go...

...and half way there we are entering Cabonne Country which is part of Orange, as you can tell there are not many photos on the way home because this is pretty much what it looks like the whole way back to Orange... until of course you get to Lucknow...

...oh and of course, here's Mount Canobolas in the background (the one with the tower at the top of it). It's an extinct volcano around 20 minutes from Sara's house and there are lots of nature trails around it, it's quite fun. Sara says it's the highest point West of Sydney standing at 1,395 metres above sea level, until you get to Western Australia. That's crazy!

...and very soon we got to the very small town called Lucknow, it's probably got less than 300 people inhabiting it. The town used to be called Luckno because there was literally "no luck" digging for gold in that town, until like 20 years later when they tried again, they found a whole heap of gold, so they renamed the town Lucknow. It's literally a one road town, with a few shops. Here's what you see coming into Lucknow...

Besides the huge truck... this is a close up... of the gold mines, it's very old... and on the other side of the road, the same thing... not much to see in Lucknow, but now were almost home... between Lucknow and Orange (which is around 5-10 kilometres) there are two wineries... Orange is very famous for it's wine and has quite a few wineries, especially up on Mount Canobolas, Sara's told us around 6-7 just on the Mountain itself, but this is the most famous of one in Orange...

You can't see it very easily but in the upper right hand side is the resort, and all of what you see is grapes, lots and lots of grapes. It's called Turners Vineyard... :-)

...and now were so close to home we can smell it, I'm so excited I just feel like I'm going to collapse once I get back into the house... I'm so exhausted after this extremely long day...

...and then Welcome To Orange! Woo hoo!

...and now I'm going to go lay down and relax, after that huge day I had... I don't feel like I want to move for a week... I probably will though, so much more to see and do!

Hi Mom :D

I have safely arrived at my next hosts home. Unfortunately Sam is without a computer for the next week so we won't be making any updates. When the computer comes back we will have lots of photos to show you.

I miss you lots.

Hello Mom :)

Here is a bunch of beautiful Australian flowers. They don't smell but are very pretty.

I found an unusual egg under the flowers. Looks like a Dinosaur egg. Me and the other voyagers who are visiting have been keeping a close watch on the egg for a few days.

Hi There!

Well Daisy finally found her camera and took a few happy snaps to get my travelog up and running.

I got quite a shock when I climbed out of my travel bag because the bears at the Boneyard are a little bit spooky, but mum says you should never judge a book by it's cover and she's right! (mum's always are). The Boneyard bears are very friendly and made me feel right at home.

Here I am playing with my new best friend Carmen Tavisit. She is lots of fun and looks a bit worn out just like me.

Then I met Daisy's pet cockatoo. His name is Mr Beaky Featherpants. He is a very big bird! I was worried he might eat me because I am such a little bear!  :o

That's all for now, I will write soon!

Hi Mum!

Today I did something that I have never done before! I went roller skating!

Daisy said it would help me get over my shyness so I said I would give it a try.

It was lots of fun!

The first thing we had to do was find me a pair of skates that would fit.

I liked the look of these green ones but they were waaaay to big!

Then I tried on some shiny black ones. These were too big too, so I just climbed into one and Daisy pushed me around! (but in a nice way ;) )

I think Daisy was right, I don't feel quite as shy anymore! :D

I will write more soon
