Here I am with my first host in Buenos Aires!
I was really nervous and couldn´t get out of the package by my own! I was so lucky to have Éireannach there to help me! Soon we will go visit the Cathedral of Buenos Aires. |

Hi there Charlie!
I'm so glad you made it! I was worried so much about you. Have fun! Hugs Eva |

This saturday we went for a walk in Avenida de Mayo, a very important and historic avenue here in Buenos Aires. Here you can see the Congreso de la Nacion, where they make the laws here. This building has more then 100 years. |

This is the "Catedral Metropolitana de Buenos Aires", the main catholic temple in Buenos Aires. They started to build this church in 1692, but it fell down in 1752, so they made a new one. Inside this church, they keep the remains of an historical heroe, San Martin, and a loyal soldier who died to protect him (nobody knows his name) |

We took a walk around Plaza de Mayo and visited Casa Rosada (the pink house), where the president works. |

This weekend Izzy took us to her family reunion up on the Russian River. It was so beautiful. We saw a peregrine falcon catch a fish not more then 20 feet away, baby foxes (called kits) and a great blue heron! California has so much wildlife. |

So Izzy has been very busy and not fun. But she made it up to us today by bringing home tiny live roses. Their so cute and the perfect voyager size. She promised to take us on her errends now. |

We set up camp and one of the nice people we camped with brought us donuts! We all shared one while unrolling the sleeping bag |

So after a few days of camping and fun, with the camera NOT working right, we headed back to Izzy's, tired and dirty. on the ride home the camera suddenly worked! So we took as many pictures as we could! We drove through part of Nevada and Reno, then through the seirra nevada's. |
magickzzl guardianicewolf@hotmail.com Posted Jul 4, 2008, 12:12 am |
So we stopped by one of Izzy's friend houses to water the plants and were amazed to find a mama Dove watching her nest. it was so sweet! As we were leaving we also saw a mama turkey and her babies running around! |

Izzy and her mom took all us voyagers out for a walk along the river near her house. it was beautiful, although smokey because California is having SOO many forest fires and all the smoke gathers here in the Sacramento Valley. We saw lots of wild life, and even the state bird! The California Quail. |

I have arrived safe and sound at Kylie's house in Australia today. It is very very cold here as it's the middle of winter, so we are spending out time rugged up and in front of the heater. I'll update with some photos next time we go out. |
Yillup Posted Aug 1, 2008, 5:21 am |
Today we had lots of fun at The Entrance. Even though it was cold, the sun was shining and we all decided to go out for the day.
I ate LOTS of chips and gravy as it was very warm and the weather was so cold. I don't think I'll fit in my post bag after visiting with Kylie and her family! We didn't get too close to the pelicans while they were getting fed. I was worried I would be eaten! I had fun with my friends Alpina and Flutura in the playground. We played on the climbing rings. You can see the water park in the background but it was too cold to go for a play in the water. I also played for a bit on my own! I am missing you heaps back home! |
Yillup Posted Aug 1, 2008, 5:35 am |
We went out shopping today. As a bit of a break from the boring bits of shopping we dropped in to Borders - a big book store here. It was nice and warm, and we got to read lots of interesting books.

Kylie went to her mum's place today as it was SO cold in her house to do some nice warm cooking. We cooked choc chip cookies, brownies, pumpkin and fruit loaf, apple and berry pies, ice cream, cheese biscuits and omlette.

Hi there. I am sorry I haven't been writing home too much lately, but my family here has had some major dramas in the last month. They have had to start moving home as well as having some very sick children. There were even feral mice running around and bit the poor little baby here! Luckily I was safe and sound with my other toy voyager friends and not anywhere near the mice!
So much of what has been happening around here has been packing boxes. Here I am with a pile of the boxes all ready to help carry them downstairs and into a truck. I think I'll need some help carrying it though!!! |
Yillup Posted Oct 4, 2008, 8:16 am |
I am still here, safe and sound. I am very very sorry I haven't updated in a month. Kylie and her family have been moving and things have been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. There have been sick kids, many many different little things to be done to the new house, and a lot of cleaning, packing, unpacking and everything else that goes along with moving house. Things have finally settled down now though, so hopefully I'll be able to move on to my next place very very soon. |

I got to go to a baptism yestersay. I am learning things about the religion in Kylie's family...
Kylie's cousin and some other young people in her church got baptised in a pool. They got "buried" under the water and "rose" to a new life with God. It was a big thing for the people to do, and showed how much they believed in God and Jesus. There was a bit of a party afterwards as well, with some yummy food and drinks. Sorry there are no photos of me at the party though! |
