I finally made it to my first stop on my travels!  B)

I got to meet some new friends too! Puppy the Cat is from Brazil also seeing things for the first time out in the world! and Zeke (the Zebra) was telling us all of what he's seen out there so far.

It's a sunny but chilly day so we are going to wait until it's a bit warmer to go really sight seeing!

Write more later!

We went out sightseeing a bit today.

She first showed me the official "Welcome to the city" place. It shows people playing lacrosse (the sport).

Then we went down to the park right on the Mississippi River, called Riverside Park. This is me in front of the American Flag  :)... and me with Tecumseh (she says this was Native American land) :)... the two bridges that connect Wisconsin and Minnesota (known locally as the "blue bridges") :)... and then me with a statue of the American Bald Eagle. :)

A new traveler joined us today!! RessutheBeagle is all the way from Finland!  B)

We hit the highway going to her sister's this afternoon. It was a beautiful day out!

With the population, it's technically a town. It's small enough that at noon everyday, they have the "noon whistle" which is the siren in town signaling that it's noon.

We woke up to snow!! She took our pictures from the back door. Isn't it pretty? We weren't expecting a lot of snow but it ended up being quite a bit! (about 4 inches)

She then took our picture snuggling up to the dog.

Today, Sam stopped on the way to work to get something special for one of the people she works with. It was his 1 year anniversary of being with the company.

She bought him Tiramisu.

On Saturday, we woke up and visited a flea market in the morning. In the afternoon we went to Popcorn Park which is a zoo that has mostly injured an unwanted animals. You can feed the majority of the animals popcorn! It was a lot of fun. Here we are in front of the camel enclosure.

There were a lot of pretty peacocks just walking around. You could just walk right up to them. Here's a photo of one.

The ground where we were was very sandy. This was due to the fact that we were very close to the Pine Barrens. All the pine needles make the dirt very sandy.

Here you can see some pictures from our voyage to Bakhchisaray and Chufut-Kale. Bakhchisaray - is a town in Central Crimea, the former capital of the Crimean Khanate. We went to Khan's Palace built in 16th century. After that we visited Chufut-Kale - a cave city, historic fortress.

We also visited Balaklava - a town not far from Sevastopol with an underground, formerly classified submarine base that was operational until 1993. The base was said to be virtually indestructible and designed to survive a direct atomic impact. During that period, Balaklava was one of the most secret residential areas in the Soviet Union.

This was our last travel in Crimea. And then - bye-bye, Crimea! My next pictures will be from Moscow.

And now - Red Square, the most famous city square in Moscow. Here you can see Saint Basil's Cathedral, Spasskaya Tower and Lenin's Masoleum.
Saint Basil's Cathedral was built in 16th century on the order of Ivan IV of Russia.
Masoleum still serves as the  resting place of Vladimir Lenin.

Then we went to the Moscow Kremlin.

First of all, Tsar Cannon.
It was made in 1586. Its has a length of 5.34 meters (17.5 feet), a calibre of 890 mm (35 inches), and an external diameter of 1200 mm (47 inches). The Guinness Book of Records lists it as the largest howitzer ever made. The cannon was fired at least once.
Then, Tsar Bell.
The largest bell in the world. Its weight is 216 tons. Made in 1733–1735. The bell was never rung — during a fire in 1737, a huge slab (11.5 tons) cracked off while it was still in the casting pit.
