So my mummy told me today that I will start my journey off in Germany with RikeH! I am very, very excited
Today my mummy went back to school but she did not take me with her because she is sick and she forgot both me and her camera... Instead when she came home we explored her house and here are a few pictures: This is me, ain't I cute? My mummy collects autographs of actors and actresses. Today she received one from Jimmy Smits He's doing a play on Broadway and she sent him a letter and this picture to sign. It looks like they're staring at me doesn't it??? This is me with some of my friends on my mummy's bed. Donald got a bit drunk and fell over. Those sailors sure drink a lot Here I am on my mummy's bookshelf with a selection of her ghost stories. Some of my favourites Here I am with my mummy's fish. The big one is Pandora and the smaller one is Jane. They are part Jelly Bean cichlid and part Red Blood Parrot fish! And finally, here I am with my mummy's kitty Whiskey who is her babykins! She kind of blinded him with the flash though Well that's it for now! Oh and mummy gave me another clue as to where we are going on the 17th: symbols hmmmmm..... still puzzled. |

So mummy is at school right now and is feeling terribly sick and wonky from her cold pills So she has left me to explore the house by myself. I warned her what might happen if she left me alone... pure mayhem!!!
However she also gave me another clue as to where we are going: royalty. Very interesting indeed. I think I shall spend the day pondering what these clues mean... Here are all of the clues so far: gold symbols royalty WHAT DO THEY ALL MEAN??? So I googled all of these words together and these are some of the images I got: Apparently one of these images is very close to what we will be seeing There might be pictures later when mummy gets home... unless she passes out from exhaustion before she gets the camera out! |

Hello again
Not much has been going on. My mummy just got over a terrible cold so we have not been doing very much. She has gotten quite a bit of mail though. Last week she got a Lauren Bacall autograph and a postcrossing postcard from Germany We've also been watching season 2 of Chuck which is one of my mummy's favourite TV shows of all time! You should all watch it I really like it as well AND my mummy has given me the final clue as to where we are going on Sunday. I think I finally know where we are going and I am so very excited to solve some mysteries. The clue is: Egypt And here are all of the clues: gold symbols royalty Egypt |

So today mummy took me to school I was very excited to get out and explore. Here is a little itinerary of the day which will be updated throughout the day as mummy is at school from 9:30 AM- 8:00 PM
9:00 AM: Mummy and I have arrived at school and are walking to the building where she has her first class (American Literature) This is the view beside the building where mummy's class is. IN the distance you can see Hamilton Hall which is one of the oldest buildings at McMaster: Here is another view where you can see the student centre and Museum of Art in the distance: This is the building where her class is. It is called the Burke Science Building (weird because she has an English class here but that;s university for you 2:00 PM- So mummy never really got around to showing me too many things but she got one last picture near Edwards arch which I thought was really pretty. Here's a little info on it:

So today my Mummy finally took me to the secret surprise: The King Tut Exhibit at the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) in Toronto! I was super excited and I had a blast Unfortunately the Egyptian government would not allow pictures in the exhibit but I will tell you all about it and I have a few pictures of other things I saw today too! (They will be uploaded later, my mummy is a bit tired right now).
9:30 AM: We have to wake up. This is a bit hard for my mummy as she had a work party last night and was very hungover We had breakfast and got all prettyful for my first big adventure! 11:00 AM: We get on the GO Bus which will take us to Union Station in Toronto. It was very foggy today and all of the buildings looked like they were being swallowed by the fog. Here I am on the bus in front of the Rogers Centre and the CN Tower. 12:00 We are here at the AGO. In front you can see the large Egyptian jackal statue. I was very impressed. So by now we are inside and viewing the spectacular pieces in the exhibit. Some of the things I saw were canopic jars which held the internal organs of Egyptian pharaohs, intricate necklaces made of gold, the bed that King Tut slept in when he was alive, small and large statues of pharaohs and gods, and even some of the things that King Tut wore when he was buried! 2:00 As my mummy loves to shop, she bought a few souvenirs as well as a new friend. I introduced myself and he said that maybe one day he can become a toyvoyager too! My mummy said she would think about it! 2:30 We are now finished looking at the amazing King Tut exhibit and are on our way back to Union Station. We stop along a few nice looking buildings and take pictures! This is the Sir George Campbell House who fought in the American Civil War. And this is Osgoode Hall which is enormous for being a hall 3:20 The bus is finally here and we are on our way home. It was a great experience and I got to experience some really great Egyptian mysteries and artifacts I am now going to be on my way to RikeH in Germany. Leaving sometime this week and I'm very excited! |

Hi Mum,
I am so happy! I arrived at RikeH's home. And it is wonderful - I am not the only bunny here - Dicker Kumpel gave me a warm welcome. Then he introduced me to the other ToyVoyagers here. There are some long-time guests and just normal guests. I showed my nice postcard and told them a lot about Canada. I will see more of the village tomorrow - it is a cold winter here - so we will have photos with snow... greetings Agatha |

Hello Mum,
Today we decided to drive to a nice small town. It is called Bad Oldesloe. RikeH went to school there many many years ago. They have a nice river there. I liked it and saw some funny ducks in the water and on the ice. This is the townhall. It was not so easy to take this photo, because the ground was very icy. Another nice place in Bad Oldesloe. Greetings Agatha |

Hello Mum,
today RikeH took us to Hamburg. We went there with the train. I looked out of the window. Still winter here in Germany... We went to the Alster a big lake in the centre of Hamburg. The weather wasn't very nice. So we decided to eat something delicious in a chinese restaurant. It was a nice day but we will come back, when the weather will be better. Yours Agatha |

Hi Mum,
because the weather outside is horrible, we had to stay inside the house. But RikeH offered us delicious cakes. Look, they are really big. It's too cold outside there were'nt any tulips, but we had some inside. They were wonderful. After eating two big peaces of cake I relaxed and talked to the fishes. Bye for now Agatha |

Hello Mum,
today we started our trip to Amrum Island a nice German Island in the North Sea. We drove some hours unfortunately the winter came back yesterday, but we arrived safe on the Coast and saw our Ferry called Schleswig-Holstein. Here you see me inside - with the typical greeting Moin Moin. I went outside the weather was sunny but it was cold. We stopped at another Island, called Fφhr. Some people left the Ferry, but we went on to Amrum. What a great trip. I will write more from Amrum soon. yours Agatha |

Hello Mum,
we made our first walk on Amrum. Here you see me in front of a typical house. They are so beautiful. Then we went to the Dunes. I enjoyed my time on a beach chair. They had nice paths out of wood in the Dunes. Amrum is a really nice place. yours Agatha |

Hello Mum,
we went to Nebel and visited the church. We went inside it was wonderful. Outside are interesting tombstones. The life stories of the dead people are written on the stones. We read a few. Then we walked through the village and saw some nice old red houses. There was a beautiful wind mill. We saw two old white houses both colours are nice and we loved the thatched roofs. Amrum is a beautiful island. Yours Agatha |

Moin Moin,
I want to show you some nice things in the flat we are living. Some beautiful mussels. A nice lighthouse. There are many lighthouses in this part of Germany. Two strange fishes. They are able to live outside the water. And here are two funny bunnies. They are sitting in an egg-sleigh and have fun all the day. We all have fun here in the holidays ! Greetings Agatha |

Hello Mum,
RikeH asked us, where we wanted to go today. So we took the map of Amrum Island and had a look. We decided to walk to the highest point of Amrum Here you see me on the highest Dune it is 32 m high. This was the way we walked on. A nice view over the other Dunes. I saw Norddorf in the distance. RikeH gave me a coin so I looked through this telescope. I saw the North Sea amazing. On our way back we stopped in a nice cafe. I had a delicious hot chocolate with advocaat and a yummy tart of raspberries. A big hug Agatha |

Hello Mum,
We went into the Dunes - the others told us that there is a wonderful lake. The lake is wonderful there was still some ice on it. There was a wooden way on this side of the lake. The lake looked nice from another point next to it. The path went through the Dunes we had nice views from the highest point. Back home I tried something special for this region. It is called Kόstennebel - and really delicious. Cheers Agatha |

Hi
I was released from a bumpy ride in an envelope today in a nice, warm place called San Diego! I met Nancy and her dog Mitzi. I have to hide from Mitzi though, because she plays a little rough! |
||
Nancyjb Posted Apr 4, 2010, 3:10 am |
We went to the world famous San Diego Zoo today! Nancy has two cousins in from New York for the spring break so we all went to the zoo today.
The weather was a little cool but that was ok because it can get hot walking around all day. We first took the bus trip around and then walked around to see some of the animals up close. There's a photo of me in front of the entrance (we actually took it when we were leaving so it's kind of dark looking.) Also there is a photo of me with a koala and one of me in the pretty flowers. |

Nancyjb Posted Apr 6, 2010, 3:42 am |
Yesterday was Easter Sunday and the photo shows me with some candy. Nancy likes candy a lot, especially the dark chocolate and the jelly beans!
It's kind of my holiday too as everyone here likes the Easter bunny. We had some excitement in the afternoon: an earthquake! I was sitting on my bookshelf and Mitzi started barking like crazy. Everything started shaking and Nancy sat on the couch yelling for Mitzi and saying "whoa!" A few things fell off the shelf but nothing broke. Nancy said what was most scary was how long it lasted, about 30 seconds. It was like driving on a slightly bumpy road, not real bumpy, but weird to see everything moving in the house. There was another bump at 4:15 am which made Mitzi wake up and bark. Then on Monday a new TV named Izzie arrived! I told her about the earthquakes but that we were safe on our shelf. We're looking forward to getting to know each other. |

Here are me and Izzie with two new TV's that were released today in the Worldwide release. This was our last photo together at home and it was sad to say goodbye.
Left to right in the photo: Me, Bubbly Bunny, Rosie Bear and Izzie. We sure hope the new TV's find a nice new host! |

Hi!
Here's me and Izzie with our hosts scrapbooking stuff. There were hundreds of (mostly) women scrapbooking this night from 6pm to 11:30pm. There was music, contests and prizes. It was a lot of fun. |

Hi
Izzie and I arrived in Cancun, Mexico yesterday with our host, Nancy and met her friend, another Nancy from New York City, at our very nice Ritz Carlton Hotel. This is the view from our room. The water is beautiful and warm but the waves and rip tides are a bit rough, much like they are in San Diego. It's also hot and humid here but that's ok as it is so beautiful! Our room is nicely air conditioned. |

Nancyjb Posted May 30, 2010, 9:57 pm |
Hi!
We drove 2 1/2 hours from Cancun to Chichen Izta yesterday. The toll road was very good but we did have some very strong rain. It's hot and steamy out here in the jungle in the middle of the Yucatan Peninsula. We are staying at the Chichen Hacienda Hotel which is a beautiful little place right next to the ruins. It was built in the 1500's with some of the stones from the ruins! It is where the Carnegie Institute of New York workers came to stay in 1923 when they rebuilt the Chichen Itza ruins. There are lots of beautiful plants and birds all around. The first photo shows us in our room with a new friend we made: Chichen, a purple bunny. He's not going to be a TV as he's going to a friend of the Nancy's in San Diego. The next photos are by the big pyramid that you see in the travel photos. At each of the corners is a big snake. The big ring at the top of the wall was on the big ball field nearby. The players had to hit a hard rubber ball through the ring without using their hands or feet. If they succeeded then they were sacrificed by being thrown into the cenote below where they died! Then the other photos are by the cenote which is a big sinkhole in the ground. These sinkholes are all over the Yukatan and many of them you can swim in. They are very interesting. The ruins of Chichen Itza are one of the modern wonders of the world and it was a thrill to visit! |

Hi
It's been awhile but we have been busy. Izzie is still with us too. On Aug. 28 we picked up our host's friend, Nancy, at the San Diego airport. She had come from New York City and we all were going on a drive up the California coast in our host's car. Our host's name is Nancy also! Our first stop was in Santa Monica. They have a famous pier that you have seen in movies and TV. It is the west end of the famous old Route 66. On the morning of the 29th we walked along the beach and the pier. It was partly cloudy and not a great beach day but the views were nice. Can you spot us on the Santa Monica sign?! |
||
Nancyjb Posted Oct 5, 2010, 3:19 am |
Hi again,
After visiting Santa Monica and Venice Beach the Nancy's decided to drive inland to find warmer weather. So they drove north east to Ojai, CA which is a small town in the hills where a lot of artists live. It is a pretty town with nice neighborhoods. We stayed at the Green Iguana hotel. It was warm enough to sit by the pool but not hot unfortunately. But it was a very nice hotel and lovely little town. |
