I got on the plane in Melbourne with Helen on Friday night. It was HUGE! We had a great trip. Here's a photo of me next to a window where you can see a wing. Thankfully I can sleep standing up so it wasn't too bad. It was a really really long trip though.... Soon I hope we will arrive in France! I'm looking forward to some crepes...

Bonjour! We have landed in France. On Sunday we went to the Eiffel Tower. It's so big and very beautiful. In the afternoon we went to some lovely gardens and a Museum.

On Monday we walked along the Seine River and took lots of photos. I promise to send you the photos, i just need to find a good place to load them on. I had a really delicious crepe with lemon and sugar...mmmm.... It is a great change from seeds!

Hi everyone. I am so tired! Today we caught a fast train and a bus from Paris to Sarlat, which took about 5 hours. Sarlat is still in France in the Dordogne. It is really pretty here with lots of very green trees and beautiful rivers. I have to go to bed now so I'll talk to you tomorrow. Here's a photo of me at the station and one of me at Sarlat.

Today there was a really busy market in Sarlat and we bought baguettes, cheese and olives to make lunch. The market was crazy, so busy. We also met three geese. Here's those photos.

Hi everyone. Today we went to a castle called Beynac on top of a hill. It was really pretty, lots of nice views; Then we went to a town called La Roque Gageac right next to the river against a cliff. We went for a trip in a old boat called a Gabarre. Then we went to a village called Domme on top of a hill. They built towns on hills so they could keep other people out. Bye now, Alkira

Hi 1C. Today was really exciting. We went to two caves where real cavemen used to paint pictures thousands of years ago. The paintings were fantastic. They showed the animals that were around back then, including woolly mammoths! Time for bed. talk to you soon; love, Alkira
PS I also saw this primary school in Sarlat.

Today we went to a huge castle called Castelnaud. It looked just like a castle should with towers and everything. They even had cannons and crossbows, and catapults for shooting big stones at the enemy. Today I made friends with the tour guide and I am going home with her. She meets people from all over the world so who knows where I might go next! So tonight I had to say goodbye to my friend Helen but maybe I'll see her again at home in Australia one day. I'll be adding photos soon, maybe next week. Love to all, Alkira
PS Here's some photos. Can you see me on the enormous cross bow?

Hello, i am shanshan from Beijing, China. I have been taking care of Alkira since 6th June, 2010 from Montpellier, France. Now, Alkira has visited the Grand hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo and looked at the Royal Palace of Monaco. I think she could feel the different between Pacific and Mediterranean sea :-) After my trip in France and Monaco, i will take Alkira with me back to Beijing, China.

I am shanshan's colleague. I brought Alkira to get on the cruise from Russia and travelled to Finland and finally get to the point of North Pole. Following is the photos about Alkira's life on the boat to North Pole(including she is standing on the desk of Captain) and when she is landing the Arctic.
