Hello TV community!
We are two welsh rats, Splash and Snuggles, and we are here to have many naughty adventures! hihi Look at us, we are the most beautiful rats around! You might have seen some of our sibblings somewhere. We were created by IKEA and our mission is to take over the World... hehe This was our first time outside...it was very sunny...we were confused... Than we catched the train home. The views were quite nice. Once we got home we were immediately the target of the curiosity of a malevolous cat called Gucci. But later on we took our revenge: Hihihi. Ratty goodbyes, until next time, S&S |

Hello again TV mates!
Our first night in a human home was quite pleasant. Not bad for a first step to rule the World! Today we went for a walk around town. Shamefully we didn't have access to a decent transportation vehicle. We were planning a coach with some sort of sunlight protection and cold drinks catering service. Instead we were just rudely put into a leather female bag and carried around like that! "Hey, Penvmbra, we're here. We're more important than this uninteresting book you're reading!" No luck! We are in the Bute Park, apparently to catch a boat! Wow, a boat! Our ancestrals had to swim in freezing waters to survive and we are travelling in a boat! How exciting, hihi We wonder where the boat is going to take us though... We found a very beautiful and weird tree in the park. This tree is completely different from the others! We reckon it was carved by some of our sibblings (we have powerful teeth) as a symbol of our world domination. Yay, we rule the treee, hehe The boat is coming through under that bridge. Off we go... Let's go peek at the window: Oh, poor splash lost his balance: Splash: "I feel so riversick!" Finally we arrived! We are at Cardiff Bay! Hihi, see you later folks. S&S |

We're back again!
And we are terribly hungry! So we went for the first time to a typical british pub. And we met another ToyVoyager!!! It is Migui+Gui. We didn't know what to order, but we heard Fish and Chips are sort of a traditional dish so we went for it. It was pretty good, but by the end our bellies had doubled the size... Them we went to Margam Park, what an awsome and beautiful place... Penvmbra and some friends were having a photoshoot there. Some of its inhabitants were quite scary, though. It was a great walk, we recommend all rats to visit there! =) S&S |
Penvmbra Posted Sep 8, 2010, 3:29 pm |
We are travelling by airplane! How awsome is that?
The only flying adventures we ever heard on our mouse community was about poor fellows who have been picked by eagles of owls... Anyway, we seem to be pretty safe here (no one seems to stare as us with predator instincts) and we're heading to Lisbon. Wow, Lisbon is much hotter than Cardiff. We are now near the Hieronymites Monastery, a World Heritage Site. The architecture is stunning, pity it is in clear need of some restoration. There is a garden across the road. And also across the road, but a bit more on the right, there is the Berardo Collection Museum, a collection of contemporary art with some extraordinary pieces. We could definitely rule a world like this... Here we are with Penvmbra's brother in front of the museum. The front door. We can see the Monument of Discoveries from the museum's terrace. The museum's garden: And now, the art pieces: S&S |

Today is so hot that we only went out by the end of the afternoon to a open air bar.
This bar is called 'The Train' and its chairs are seats from old trains. We found a little house with glass walls that seemed perfect for us so we decided to explore: Nah, we've reached the conclusion that we we are to rule the World, we can't live in such a small place...it was quite confy, though... S&S |
Penvmbra Posted Sep 9, 2010, 3:58 pm |
Today we went to the Buddha Eden Garden, a bit north of Lisbon.
It is basically a huge garden with lots of statues of Buddha and other zen japanese figures. We are meditating...a new discovery for us. Those guys are scary... It was very pleasant...for a day we were not naughty! S&S |
Penvmbra Posted Sep 11, 2010, 1:04 pm |
Did you know that we are replicas of two real (as if we weren't real, bah) rats?
Penvmbra have fostered two rats for a couple of weeks and she found then so cute that she named us after them. You can see photos and videos of the original Splash and Snuggles here: http://animalfostering.blogspot.com/ |
Penvmbra Posted Sep 19, 2010, 7:46 pm |
We are now in the Santa Maria island, in the Azores.
There are amazing beaches here: The Azores is the only place in Europe that produced tea! They produce other things as well, as for example this orange-based drink. We were hosted at Penvmbra's father's house. The house has many centenary objects and traditional handcraft stuff as well. We loved being there, now we are looking forward to new adventures! S&S |

Hi Mum
Today we went to work with with Lola and we had lots of fun. She works in an office and it was empty today, only her in her department. We got to meet a mouse, only it was not the kind of mouse we expected!!!! We got to play with the phones, type on the key board and had lots of fun until Splash decided to be mean to me :-( First he said this machine was to give me a massage, and he said to put my head in and it wouldnt hurt a bit. Well it did hurt, it hurt lots and lots and i was very upset. The he said that the cup was empty and if i climbed onto the side and jumped off he would catch me, only it wasnt empty and i got all wet from water (not really lol) so i was not very happy with Splash. I was so annoyed i hit him with a spoon which made me feel so much better. When Lola went on her lunch break we decided to play an game of limbo only i think HelgaHH is a bit to big and it going to knock it down hehe it was good fun though. We are back to Lolas now and we are in her study while she has a bath and then going to make tea. Miss you lots Splash & Snuggles |

Hi Mum
We have been having lots of fun at Lolas, sorry we have not updated you in a while, Lola is having computer problems. She will have lots of photos to upload of us this week. Yesterday we went to a place called Middleton Riding School where Lola helps to teach Horse riding to kids. It was great, we where not aloud to take any pictures while we where in the riding school which was a bummer but we still had fun. We got to sit on a horse called Bianca. They had some puppies aswell, they did not have any names yet but the mummy puppy was called Rita and they are French Bulldogs. Today we went on a visit to Lolas mums house and we had fun. We took her dog on a walk in the country and saw lots of field, then we went conker picking which was very much fun. There was a football match going on in the nearby stadium and we got a picture next to the stadium which was wicked. We also got to meet Lolas mums tortoises, she has two. Lola said she will be uploading some pictures of us on our walk and while we where with the tortoises later this evening, we got to clib trees any everything it was fab. Bye for now Miss you lots Splash+Snuggles |

Hey we just want to update and say we are now in a place called Stockton which is in Teeside, United Kingdom.
We where sent in a parcel with a few other voyagers to a ladies house who was not expecting us. She was very suprised when she opened the parcel to see all us toys waiting to come out. She was able to see where we came from because one of the toys in the parcel has a toy voyagers tag on. So she joined the website and is letting all the toys owners know they are safe. Lorraine who has us at the moment needs to know where to send us to because she unfortunaly is unable to look after us. She has got a new baby who is 3 weeks all called Emily and a 2 year old called Evie and because she was not expecting us she is not ready to host us right now. She did say in the future she would love to take part in hosting which is nice. Evie gave us cuddles which was nice :-) It is very cold here and it started to snow earlier so we are all snuggled up warm next to the radiator. |

Hey Mommy,
we had a great time in Belgium with the scouts. First the weather wasn´t fine and our host was sick but then it was a great weekend. We went to Belgium by bus. It was so much fun and everywhere German scouts (11-16 years old) and of course the leaders ... The first night was cold and it was pretty good to sleep with our friends so we could warm each other In the morning we enjoyed the silence because we woke up really early. So we took the time to read a book. But this was the last time for reading. In this camp, called Intercamp were around 2500 scouts from different countries (England, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, America, Canada, Tschechien, Poland and Germany). It was a great view from the banner and gaming point to the tents The Intercamp flag was yellow like the sun and so much children played ... we also did Our host printed a T-Shirt with the Intercamp 2011 Logo and we tried to wear it, but it was a bit too small and she let us use her Gilwell ... WOWWWWWW It was a great time at Intercamp 2011. |

Hello Guys,
we were on honeymoon... ok .. it wasn´t our honeymoon but the hosts honeymoon. It was pretty good. But let´s start at the beginning. We landed in Dublin and they lost our luggage so we had to wait about 2 hours but we played a little bit. The first week we gone for a daily donkey walk. It was so great to see all the green and the nature. The donkeys "John-Willy" and "Hero were really nice. The donkey on the picture is "John-Willy", he had to take us in his luggage all the time .. The nature was so adorable. We saw a lot of fantastic places and ruins. This is "Hero", he was the younger one. It was a great time in the nature but there wasn´t so much time to photograph all the impressions. So, we went on to Dublin City for a week and saw so much more and had more time to stop. |
eurydike Posted Sep 2, 2011, 8:15 pm |
The second week was so loud and full of music and fun.
We started with a sightseeing through the city. We saw a man who made great pictures with chalk. The weather was good but on the "needle" we had a big cloud in the backround We went to the Leprechaun Museum (don´t do that, if you´ll go to Dublin - we were bored but the Leprechaun was so funny that we wanted to show him to you Here was the entry of the "losing money museum" Our host Mom had fun with us Of course we saw a lot of pubs and we loved the atmosphere in there ... but we just took a picutre for you infront of the pub. (too much beer ... ) It was a little bit romantic on the bridge in Dublin. The half penny bridge is called like this because in the 19th century the took a half penny from the people so they could cross it and go to the other side. Now there are a lot more bridges and you don´t have to pay anymore We also visited the christ church. It was a typical Irish church. One day we met some nice girls but they didn´t spoke to us... sad but so we just stopped by and left them soon. Here you can see the half penny bridge Of course we drunk some Guiness in the Guiness Brewery We also visited a great museum called DUBLINIA It was a museum with a viking and a medieval section. The man was a bit scary. Sad but true the children shoes were often made from worn out adult one Sad but true they got us in the Medieval Little joke but we took the host Mom with us for these pictures It wasn´t allowed to take any photos in the library of the Trinity College. But it was so great that we bought 2 postcards and made a picture in the hotel for you One of the last days we gone to Bray. It is 45 minutes away from Dublin and we had a great day on the beach and in the sun. We got the first Geocache in Europe. This was a highlight. We climbed a little bit for it but the view was adorable. |
