My first Travelog and I haven't traveled yet!

Did you know I was born on October 31? Halloween!
Maybe that's why I like to party and dress up.

Here are some pictures of me and one of the other TV's, Grouchy. Don't mind the blue guy, he's just not in a good mood today...

Here I am, on my first little adventure.
This time with a little new friend, Takkie. He arrived today and he's going to be a TV too.
While the dogs of our mom where playing, me and Takkie were chilling on the heath. Nice, right?

Hi again!
Today I met Lilac because he just arrived here. We have been exploring arround my host house, Laura. It has been a stay-in day, but it was fun!
Let me explain you what we did. We discovered her vampire section in the library and we watched TV for a while (but we didn't really understand it, as it was in spanish)! After that we sneeked into her brother's room and played a while with some huge sea animals: a killer whale and a sea lion and her son. Finally, we visited the collection of water bottles that Laura's brother has in his room.
I hope you like the pictures!

Hello!
Today we visited a lot of stuff in Barcelona! It has been so much fun, I'm still recovering!
In the first pictures you can see me with some buildings in Barcelona, they are not very important, but they are cute!
We went to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, it is a church that has been under construction since 1882 and is not expected to be complete until, at least, 2026. It is considered the master-work of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí  (1852–1926).
After that we took the car and went to Tibidabo, a mountain from where you can see all Barcelona. It was great, because the views are awesome! There's also an amusement park at the top of the mountain.
Finally we saw Torre de Collserola. It is a tower designed by architect Sir Norman Foster, and built in 1991 for the 1992 Summer Olympics. It is mainly used as a TV and radio transmitter, this futuristic design provides the highest viewpoint over the city. The top antenna reaches 288.4m (946 ft) and the top of the pod, which has thirteen floors, reaches 152m (499 ft).
I hope you like the pictures!

Today we visited my host's primary and secondary school! We just took a peek from the outside, but it was pretty cool!

When we were returning home we saw a cute wooden bridge and we took a picture!

Hope you like it!

We visited Barcelona again!
It was so cool! But the battery of the camera died in the middle of everything and we couldn't take pictures of the last part of our day :(
The pictures that we have are from before lunch, and they are from doing a tour by car in Barcelona.
After lunch we visited Park Guell, and that's when the camera died. Park Guell is a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of el Carmel in Barcelona, Spain. It was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudí".
Sorry for not having pictures!

As today is my last day in Spain :( my host showed me some of her Halloween decorations! As there's still a month until October 31st she just showed me the easy ones to put!

I'm gonna go packing now, because tomorrow I have to start my 9342.24 km journey (5804.99 miles)! I'm exited but sad at the same time!

Today I left to the US! Here are my last pictures in Spain! In the first there's my host holding me, and the others are my departure with Lilac.

I am sad, because I love it here, but I am exited because I am wondering what the future will bring me in the States!

Especially Halloween. Someone please give me a great Halloween! No matter where!

Still here in Holland!

Today I went with mom to her work.
She works with mentally challenged adults. They were very nice to me!

What to do first? Making a flag or helping to make an apron?

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/photoclaudia/hosting%201/september%202011/IMG01054-20110909-1602.jpg
A flag! First I need to draw a mold on the fabric, than cut it.

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/photoclaudia/hosting%201/september%202011/IMG01055-20110909-1603.jpg
Ready!

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/photoclaudia/hosting%201/september%202011/IMG01056-20110909-1607.jpg
Now the apron. But I'm too small!

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/photoclaudia/hosting%201/september%202011/IMG01057-20110909-1608.jpg
Let's just watch what everyone is doing over here.

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/photoclaudia/hosting%201/september%202011/IMG01057-20110909-1608.jpg
Nice...

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/photoclaudia/hosting%201/september%202011/IMG01059-20110909-1609.jpg
This is called smyrna, knotting a rug. What a work!!!

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/photoclaudia/hosting%201/september%202011/IMG01058-20110909-1609.jpg
Aaaah, a tiny kiss from Mia!

http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad222/photoclaudia/hosting%201/september%202011/IMG01060-20110909-1610.jpg
Well, I don't know the english word for this, but it is going to be a long chord and the little flags are being threaded on the cord.

Well seen enough, time to leave Holland! But where to?
I just found out it's going to be California, USA!
Whoohooo, land of Halloween!!!! Hope to join a party, go trick and treating, seeing lots of pumpkins... Nice!

Hi,
I have arrived in California after about two weeks of traveling. Here is my first picture. I am at the welcome sign. This place looks really nice. Hello,

Today I arrived in Santa Paula. I met another tv that is also being hosted here. We went to a few different places. I am really enjoying my time here and getting to know Sheela. It was still bit cold and windy today since it rained yesterday, but the sun was still shining bright at the beach.

At the Marina Park beach there was a big ship named San Salvador. We also found a statue of a beautiful mermaid. The mermaid statue was a gift from Russia. I think that was very nice gift. We found a bench and sat there for a minute watching the waves. It was very calming. The sand was warm to walk on the pebbles warm to lay on. I wanted to take a nap there for a bit.

We also had time today to look for one geocach. So we look at the GPS and decided which one would be closer for us to find. I was very excited when we found it.

My host found a huge tangerine and I just had to get a picture with it. It kind of looks like I'm sitting on a pumpkin doesn't it?

Hope you're having a great day,

♥Lester

Mum,

Hello, Today we went for a short walk at the Arroyo Verde Park. We took the Jerry Revard Nature Trail. Some parts of the trail were a bit steep and made me a bit tired so we had to stop and rest on a tree limb.

Later today we went to down town Ventura and I got a picture on the water fountain and a few other pictures. Walking there made me feel a bit sad because I saw many homeless people there, but my host let me know that the city is doing things to help them out, so that made me feel a bit better.  We also found new store that had many day of the dead items. We'll have to go back before I leave so I can get a souvenir.

Cant wait to see what tomorrow brings. It will be an early day since my host goes in to work at 5 in the morning and she will be taking us with her so we will be ready to go when she gets off work.

Hello,
Today we started working on the christmas lights. My host used her phone to take pictures so I was able to upload some pictures and make an update. I am doing great and was told next week will be going to the oil museum.

First we had to get all the christmas lights out of the storage shed. After we did that we had to plug them in and make sure they all still lit up.

We got few new lights this year. We put up few and will finish the rest tomorrow. Then I will get a chance to get a picture at night with them all lit.

Til later,
Lester

Hi,
I am very excited. Today we went to Disneyland. It was hard to get many pictures because many rides did not allow flash photography, so quite few of the pictures that were taken are a bit dark.

We just got home. It is late and we are all very tired but i just wanted to make sure to upload at least one picture of Michel and I outside the small world ride. The rest will have to wait until after a good nights rest.

Hello,

Here are the pictures from yesterday at Disneyland.

First we went to Disney California Adventure. There was a lot of people so we didn't really get to ride many of the rides because the lines were so long.
The first ride we got on was California Scramin'. It is a high speed roller coaster. I was very excited to ride it. I got a quick picture in the seat, but then my host had to put me a way in a safe place to that I wouldn't fall out. That ride was very fast and had a few drops and a loop.
After that ride, we walked around Paradise Pier. They had many game booths and stores. We wanted to ride Mickey's Fun Wheel, but the line was too long. The wait was over an hour, so I just got  a quick picture with it.
After a bit more walking we were feeling a bit hungry and decided to eat at Boudin Bakery where we got Creamy Broccoli and Cheddar in a bread bowl. It was quite delicious.
Once we were nice and full we went to "A Bug's Life" to get a few pictures with the statues there. Everything was over sized there which made it very fun.
We rode the Monsters Inc. ride, but it was too dark to get any good pictures.

At the Disneyland park there was way more people and even more longer lines. We walked around and took a few pictures.
We rode the Buzz lightyear ride. It was fun and entertaining.
The last ride we rode was the Small World ride. That ride was very pretty and it was fun to look at everything there. I really enjoyed it.

Today is Christmas. It is a bit cold out, but I'm told its not as cold as other years. We had Posole for dinner. It was hot and very tasty. All the gifts this year were just for the kids. It was a nice family time. I enjoyed watching them open their gifts and seeing the joy in their faces.

Happy Holidays!

Lester
