Dear Suzanne! Here i am in Moscow! I arrived two days ago and had a rest after my travel. But today is Friday, the end of working week, and my host with her toy-friend Pyatno made a little party in honour of me!
So the first pack of photos will be in russian traditional style of meeting guests: with vodka, herring, pickled cucumbers and nuts (special for me). here is me with Pyatno drinking to a meeting! cheers! yay! i am a king of nuts! vodka just made itself felt hey Pyatno! are you crazy?! you has spilt vodka! ... in the name of the Universe, the Universe of Love, don't go too far with alcohol, alcohol just sucks! make Fun and Friendship around the globe! hic! i'm high! Don't worry, i'm fine! I didn't swim in vodka and tomorrow i won't have a headache! We discussed our plans on the weekend, geopolitics in the toy world, different kind of fakes, all these ugly Lego buildings and plush comming into fashion. See you soon! Miss you very! Yours, Maggie |

Dear Suzanne! Everything is OK, i wasn't drunk as you could think trough my first post. My host Olya took me to a walk to the old part of Moscow centre - Solyanka. We've spent our day in tiny lanes and alleys. So catch my photos!
here is the Bolshoy Spasoglinischevsky lane (too hard to transliterate) we are walking down the street 1) yes, i remember about my life mission, and here i am under the streetlighter, but in a daytime. hope to return here some night 2) here is the Public Library of History, closed for restoration. what a pity! in these days there is a all-russian population census, which division is situated it this house. Olya wanted to do her civic duty but it failed because she isn't registered at this division. too hard to understand 1)The Lutheran church 2)the monument 'bird of happiness' opposite the synagogue here you could find a russian trolley an improvised coutry nook of the garden in a centre of Moscow .. here is a weathercock even.. .. and we are back in USSR a rare soviet radio: all we hear is radio ga ga || radio goo goo || radio ga ga an avantgarde social sign of 'no parking' or 'big hammer watches you' In this grey house which is on the last pic we found an art gallery. There were two expositions we had visited. But photos will appear in my next post. My host Olya catched a cold, so she need to stay at home for some days, but she will be fine and we will have perfect weekend! Miss you! Yours, Maggie |

Dear Suzanne, as I promised, here is the continue of my last post. After our walking we finelly decided to visit the gallery. We didn't know what was exhibited there, but we took chances.
There were two expositions: 1) The best photos of ''Russian Reporter" magazine. 2) The exhibition dedicated to Andrey Tarkovsky (a famous russian film director), which shows different private things (like photos, letters, school copybooks) from his sister's collection. here is my host Olya young country chicks are going crazy without men Khodynka. the rehearsal of historical reenactment as a part of Victory parade 1) Muslim women in Daghestani University 2) Yury Shevchuk - russian oppositional musician (DDT band) 1) i wrote 'thank you' in their register 2) me and starling-house which was used as a mailbox Unfortunatelly we didn't take photos at the Tarkovsky exhibition because any photographing or video filming wasn't permitted. But anyway there was too dark in that exhibit room. So hope you'll enjoy the pics that we have taken at the "best of Russian Reporter's photos". Miss you! Yours, Maggie |

Hello dear Suzane! It is the cloudy and rainy weekend. But we didn't feel like staying at home, so decided to go for a walk it Tsaritsino park.
For a long time most buildings were ruined. But recently most buildings have been "completed": rooftops, interiors and decorations have been added and their historical appearance has been altered. the the entrance bridge the ''bread house'' or the kitchen building here is The Grand Palace in different view points the fence gallery and gate here is the second octagonal cavalier building the first cavalier building the figure ''grape'' gate the medium palace -- opera house here i am starring on the sunset on the entrance bridge, which is shown on the first picture It is a very beautiful place for spending time outdoor, if you want to have some historical experience or breathe the clean air. The are a lot of newly married couples, parents with children and school excursions. Also we met a little boy (aroud 10 y.o.) with his mam, who noticed us taking photos and he interested in our toy adventures.. So maybe he will be a future toyvoyager's host? Hugs, Maggie |

Dear Suzanne!
My host Olya catched a cold, so we need to stay at home for some days. That we may not waste time, Olya decided to practice in cooking. Here are some pictures of the process of making thick apple pancakes: we sliced some apples then we started to make a batter: milk, water, eggs, oil and solt we we sift a flour and add it to the batter. then we added apples and whisked this mixture 20 min. of manipulations with frying pan and we got the whole plate of pancakes Fuf! I feel myself like a perfect housewife! It is time to lay a table and taste my pancakes with sour cream, jam and condensed milk. Hugs, Maggie |

Dear Suzanne!
Olya is still feeling unwell, but today the new member of our party arrived. His name is TobiHH and he came from USA (but originally he is from Germany. We organized a tea party on his arrival. he has shared impressions with us about his last travel to USA. he told us what he has seen on another continent while guys discussed the international relations and other stuff i suggested plaing a game 'one who is from Holland takes all sweets' hmm.. it is strange but i won! It was great to meet another toyvoyager! I think our adventures should be more interesting and exciting! Also I hope that Olya will be healthy very soon and take us somewhere. Hugs, Maggie |

Hello!!
Seems like i was traveling forever then i finally arrived- but was put to work straight away helping my host get a few postcards finished Then i was shown exactly were i was! It looks like a small country town right on the beach Oh look its in a little bay. In the afternoon we walked to the beach- unfortunately the camera started playing up so we only got to take a few pictures. It got so hot that i dug a hole to try to keep cool Getting ready for bed(might be a slumber party) I will let you see what i get up to as soon as the camera is working again, Don't miss me to much and Goodnight! |

Morning
The camera has decided to work once a day. This time it captured my host Vikki and me arriving at work No one told me this was a working holiday! I thought being in reception, that should be easy, but no- i was told to tidy the rooms (the place was empty because everyone else was out enjoying there day) Finally it was time for Vikki's mum and me to finish I have been told my hard work is now over and i can go see the sights, So until then Thinking of you, Maggie |

Hi,
The heat hasn't let up so one day we hid at a little park Then it cooled up one night and we went for a little walk Today we checked out the beachfront down the end of the main street The jetty has only just reopened after being closed for two years while it was being repaired, before that it was the longest wooden jetty in the southern Hemisphere They are still fixing the jetty up from the little boat ramp Then we relaxed some more and had a little snack Bye See you soon |
