My name is PinkLady, and i would love to tell you something about myself. My mum Cyn bought me in a toyshop yesterday, cause she thought that i deserve some travelling around the world.
I'm excited she choose me, cause within 1 week we will go on a trip to Kenya!
How cool is that! After that trip i will try to find a host who can teach me more of her/his country!
Cyn know hows to raise TV's, she was a member before, and she had 2 tv's, but they got lost..
How sad.. Please keep a moment of silence for Cutie and Miss-Flo
She decided this weekend to start again, and here we are

I'm so excited! I'm going to Kenya today! My mum will go on for a holiday there for 2 weeks. We will be on a safari for 1 week, and after that we will be going to the beach for 1 week!
Can't wait to be there! Also one of my life missions will be completed!

It's so hot in here!
We had a great flight yesterday, it was long, but it was ok. We first went to Cyprus to get some new fuel, and about 9pm we arrived at Mombasa International Airport
We had one night at the Reef Hotel in Mombasa, and today we are going to Tsavo West N.P.

It's so wonderfull in here! Can't tell you how much i am enjoying Kenya!
We allready saw a lot of animals, but everytime my mummy forgets to make pictures with me on it.. So she decided to make a picture in the bus, with me in front..
We saw lot's of elephants in here! So i want to show you!
After Amboseli N.P. we will go to Nairobi (it must be one of the most criminal towns in Africa, so i am a little scared), after Nairobi we will go to Lake Nakuru, and last but not least Masai Mara
Ohhh and i have seen Mount Kilimanjaro here! It's such a cool mountain!

It's our last day of the safari, and we have seen all of the big 5!!
We have seen lots of lions, buffalo's, impala's and we even have seen a cheetah!
It was a great safari, tomorrow we will be going to Mombasa Beach, and i think mommy will not take pictures over there..
When i'm back home mummy will try to find a host for me, so i can travel around the world by myself! How cool is that!?

I'm so excited!!! I have a brother! Meet BlueBunny.. He's just like me, but he's a boy!!
So i showed him my own Toyvoyager page, and told him to sign up.. So he did!
Also i met Hippa she is soooo cute! She also has plans to go visit the world!!
I also playes a round a bit today, my mum loves wildlife, and i have been playing with some animals today!
For now on it's enough! Tomorrow i will go on my first trip without my mummy!!!

Offcourse i'm a bit sad aswell.. I just met my new brother BlueBunny and sister Hippa 2 days ago, and i allready have to say goodbye to them!
I gave them a huge hug and told them that i hope to see them again one day!
Also i met 2 Kenyan people which came with me to Holland. I have to say goodbye to them aswell!!
And now.. i have to go!! I hope i will have a save journey and arrive soon at Nat's place, because it's so dark in here!

I finally arrived at my hosts home. It took longer than I thought but now here I am. It was a friendly and warm welcome by Mr Scraps and OttoLux.
Both opened my envelope and saw me inside
So they helped my to come out and we took our first picture together
Then I took the postcard and gave it to my host. She was really happy to get one
She liked it especially with the "Groeten uit Noord-Holland"
That's it for today. I'm really tired and my host mummy is sick. But I already miss you!

today we went to a christmas basar of a school for mentally and physically handicapped students. At first we had to go by bus.
As we left the bus we had to go a bit - around 3 minutes - and on the way we found this sign. I guess you know what it means.
Finally we arrived at the "Helen Keller Förderschule". I also just hang around with Mr. Scraps
We went inside and looked a bit around about what they're selling. Afterwards my host had a soup.
Afterwards we played hide and seek and I hide myself behind a flower.
Then we already left and went to a shop for christmas. I found this funny hat and had to wear it. Do you like it?
In the end we went to a playground where we played. I climbed up the climbing wall.

I'm pretty well although I had a quite stressful day. My host mum changed her minor subject of her studies from Musicology to German Studies. So she had to learn really hard for German. I and of course the other Voyagers decided to help her with her major. So everyone of us got a different subject to study on. My subject was called "Introduction to English Medieval Studies." It seems to be quite interesting as my host mum wanted to choose the same subject in German as well.
So I read with the others.
In the evening her girlfriend came around for watching a movie. So we decided to watch a queer one and both of them gave us four movies we had to choose. At first I had a look on my own, later on we decided together which one we wanted to watch. So we came up with "But I'm A Cheerleader".
Oh, btw that's us in front of a queer banner.

today my host showed me her part of Ratingen, she lives. It's called Ratingen - Homberg and is the second smallest part. It has around a population of 5500 people. But I don't know how many cows, pigs and stuff like that. I'm really surrounded by fields. If it wouldn't be that cold and if my host mum would have more time, we'd go for a walk into the fields. Maybe tomorrow or so?!?
First of all: This is the oldest church in Ratingen. It's said to be older that 1,000 years. Amazing, isn't it? It's the catholic one.
We turned around and I saw the hill we had to go up first with this amazing old framehouse.
These are also old houses. One of them as it's one fountain. Actually in the white one is the library of the catholic church.
We went much higher and found the youngest church in Ratingen. Is going to be 100 years next year. It's the protestant one.
That's what I saw from Homberg, as it doesn't have anything more. Okay and we had to go to university so we hadn't any more time. But I hope I will see more.
In the evening my host had to had a look for new ballet classes as she can't dance in her old balletschool anymore. So we got ready. Do you see me with those pointe shoes? She really has to dance on it.
But she also allowed us to play with her clothes.
Don't be afraid. I don't wanna do ballet.

first of all I ought to say sorry for the delay. My host mummy was really busy but now she has the time to update everything. She took a couple of pictures so I let you know what happend.
Today we went to Essen - a city close to Ratingen.
As the christmas market opened there a couple of days ago I got the change to see it. Unfortunately it wasn't dark enough to see all the lights. So I saw the slight of Santa Clause, sat in a Christmas tree and saw a big wheel.
Furthermore she explained me bit about Essen. Here's a sign.
Later on we saw the "Coca Cola Truck". Maybe you know it from the advertising. I saw it in real. Amazing! Even Santa Clause was around.
At the end she showed me the place she used to go for fotoshootings, dancing, learning or just meeting people. It's called "Unperfekthaus"

today we went to a shopping mall in Essen, called Limbecker, as it was raining.
In this shopping mall is a quarter called "Amsterdam" and I felt like home
I also met Dobby from Harry Potter. Do you know him? He died in Harry Potter 7.1
And do you see this huge chandelier? I had to take pictures with it.
Again I sat in a christmas tree and I saw a "band". They were playing christmas songs.
In the end I had the chance to go to the christmas market again as it stopped raining. Finally it was full with it's lights.
On our way home we had a coffee from Starbucks.

Today was a very happy and a very sad day at the same time.
A new TV arrived at my new hosts home. His name is Luc Zeke and he is a penguin.
He looks very nice and I can't wait to spend some time with him and discover a few places.
Yesterday Nat passed me on to Liz, who is my new host now. They're Graham's mummies, the little chick you're hosting, mum, and so I'll spend my time in Duisburg now.
So, when Luc arrived I was very happy that I'm not the only new toy here
But it was a bit sad, because Buxi and Cessy are going to leave tomorrow - I didn't spend much time with them so far, but they could have been good friends I guess and now will never know if we had anything in common.
But we'll spend our evening with some christmas candy then and just enjoy it...

Merry christmas! It's the 24th so in Germany everybody's busy and hectic, because it's "Heiligabend".
My host and her bf are staying at home and handing out the presents, visiting his family and tomorrow they'll be visiting Lizas parents, so I'll probably get to see a bit of Mettmann then.
Sorry for not really updating lately, but the weather here wasn't really good so we spent most of the time home...
Today was the day to decorate the christmas tree and we, so Luc Zeke, Sanji and me, we allowed to help!

How're you?
Today Liz took us all to work with her. As it's the week between Christmas and New Years Eve, there's isn't much to do so no one minded that we were there.
Well, Liz is doing an apprenticeship as media designer in a little printing company. They have a HP Indigo, on which they print stuff like cards and brochures and flyers and anything that can be printing but is not bigger than A3. They also have some broadsheet printers, which are used to print any kinds of materials for inner and outer use e.g. canvas, posters, flags and so on. I was pretty excited!
This is me with Luc Zeke and Sanji on the desk in the office. Liz showed us around first.
This is one of the broadsheet printers. It's used to print posters and roll-ups. As you can see, they print on roles, not on single sheets. So they have roles in different widths for different prints and with different materials on the roles for every single need. It's pretty cool.
We got a little further and there we got to the processing department. This is where the printed stuff is made into the finale product.
Here's just a variaty of the different kinds of paper they can print on. It's impressive I think. They have different kinds of paper e.g. extra white, or glossy, or structure and then they have the different kinds in different weights like 90g/m2 or 250 g/m2. Liz tried to explain why people need different weights, but I didn't really get it. Whatever.
They also have to send the stuff they print to the costumer and if one orders a lot, there are many cartons. I tried to hide but Liz got me...
These are wiro-o bindings. They are used for booklets. You can also have your own notebooks or college blocks made there if you want. They have then in different colors and also in different sizes, because the size depends on how many sheets there are.
After the tour we were allowed to try and work with the drawing table, Liz used for work.
It was pretty funny. It was really like drawing on a paper, but just on the Mac.
But it was fun nevertheless.
It was pretty cool to see where Liz is going when she leaves us in the morning.

It's New Years Eve! In German it is called "Silvester". In 335 Silvester I. dies on December 31st. He was pope from 314 until his death in 335. So the origin of the name is Saint Sylvester's Day in the Roman Catholic Church.
So we spent the day with Liz and her family. They all meet at one house and just enjoy the evening with loads of food and some games, until it's 12 am and the new year is calling.
I'll just show you the pictures of the evening. There isn't much to say about the pictures.

Sorry for not updating in a while! I feel really sorry!
I enjoy my time here, but Liz was pretty during the past weeks so we mostly stay at home because she has to work for school or something. And the weather sucked a lot lately...
But today the weather was awesome! Still a little cold, but pretty sunny, so Liz decided to take us all to the Landschaftspark Nord in Duisburg. Duisburg is located in the western part of the Ruhr area. It is an independent metropolitan borough within Regierungsbezirk Düsseldorf.
Okay, so we went to the Landschaftspark Nord today. It's a public park that can be visited during the whole year. It was designed in 1991 with the intention that it work to heal and understand the industrial past, rather than trying to reject it. The park closely associates itself with the past use of the site: a coal and steel production plant (abandoned in 1985, leaving the area significantly polluted) and the agricultural land it had been prior to the mid 19th century.
The park is devided into different areas, whose borders were carefully developed by looking at existing conditions (such as how the site had been divided by existing roads and railways, what types of plants had begun to grow in each area, etc). The site was designed with the idea that a grandfather, who might have worked at the plant, could walk with his grandchildren, explaining what he used to do and what the machinery had been used for. At the Landschaftspark, memory was central to the design.
We first went to the Blast Furnace 5, which is the only blast furnace left in the park, that is accessible for everyone.
I'll just show you the pictures and if there was a board with further information, you'll read them.

Awesome, view, huh? This is on platform 4, which has a height of around 51 m.
This is at the so called "Windenhaus" (winch house), where the electric winch of the inclined elevator moved the skip with ore, chalk or coke to the charging hopper of the blast furnace .
This is the view from almost the top. There was one more platform, but there were some other people taking pictures already so we didn't get up there. But where we were was fine. It must have been about 70 meters high.
It was pretty cold up there as it was very windy. But it was awesome how far you are able to see from up there. On the website they say on a sunny day you can also see the TV tower in Düsseldorf. Amazing, isn't it??
We just walked through the park a little more, but most of the buildings look pretty much the same. ^^
But I enjoyed this trip a lot - seeing something different was very interesting.

Today we had a day at LINZ. Linz is the capital of Upper Austria.
We saw many things...
A statue, which is called the "Dreifaltigkeitssäule", is a landmark of Linz.
There was also a funny car in a box. Maybe i can drive away with it.
After a walk through the city i had a rest at the Danube. Its the biggest river in Austria.

As i visited the donkeys one of them wanted to eat me

Today was beautiful day, so I was outside. Hostmom showed me this nice town. We visited in the harbour of Jyväskylä.
But hey, mommy!!!! Where are all boats? I can't see any of them!

We all went to see boats little closer. There's Finfin, Sylvia, Mo, Porridge, me and Tokki.

I was walking just next to the lake Jyväsjärvi. The lake is quite small, and there's a nice little street for pedestrians around the lake. All these photos are from next to that lake.
I climbed on the birch (koivu in Finnish). Birch is a very common tree here in Finland.
Look mom, how beautiful the nature is!
That white building is one part of the Jyväskylä University. It's the apartment of the math and science. The famous architect Alvar Aalto has designed it.

Hostmom told me it's an art sculpture, named Suuri Kompassi (the big compass). Artist's name is Markku Hakuri. And it has made in the year 1991.

Guess what? Hostmom just told me, that I can come with her for a little journey. Hostmom will go visit her parents in North Karelia, Eastern Finland. It's over 300 kilometres away from here.
I can see the other side of Finland, and I will spend the next few days there!
So, because we will leave tomorrow morning, I decided to pack.
Hmmmm... what should I take with me?
a toothbrush, a mirrow, clothes..... hmmmmm....

I had a nice weekend. I was in a village named Ilomantsi, in North Karelia, Eastern Finland, visiting hostmom's parents and her godchild.
In Ilomantsi there's living about 5 000 people, and there's many sub-villages there. There's also the easternmost point of Finland, and the easternmost point of the continental European Union in Ilomantsi. This village located so east, that it shares about 100 km long border with Russia.
Well, here I am, in front of the house of hostmom's parents.
After long drive a car, we were so hungry. So, we decided to cook. And I was there helping to barbeque! Yummy!
There's sausages, beef, chicken and apple slices...
...and offcourse some salad, too.
...and for dessert BIG sized pancakes (in Finnish: lettuja).
It was really good!!! And I ate a lot!!!
After eating I had enough energy to help changing tires of the car. There's no need to use winter-tires anymore, it's already time to use summer-tires.
That was little dirty work, so we all went to wash ourselves. Look, I am in the sauna. This is very Finnish thing.
There's so warm and relaxing!!! Awww!!! I'm in heaven!!! It's so nice to become clean again.
Look mom, I met so many new friends!!! Many toys of hostmom's godchild came to meet us and play with us. It was really fun!

This place called Sankarihautausmaa. It's a cemetery for those people who fighted in war many many years ago on behalv of Finland.
Hostmom told that there was a storm last winter, and the wind was so strong that some of these big spruces fall down then. And guess what? I am sitting right now on the root of one of those fallen tree. It's quite big, isn't it?
This is the orthodox church of Ilomantsi. It has buildt in 1892. It's the most biggest wooden orthodox church in Finland, and it is dedicated to the prophet Elijah.
After long time for walking outside, I need some sleep.

Today we got company. A cute frog Telie arrived here from Luxembourg.

In the morning I watched through the window, and I noticed there were so many clouds in the sky. Everywhere looks blue and gray, and that was so sad...
I was thinking that there must be at least one way to feel better, and bring sunshine and happiness inside. So, I decided to make a sun myself. Maybe my sun will bring some light here...
And I did it!
Others did, too!
And it worked, we all feel much better now.

The making own sun was really powerful thing, because in the afternoon it was sunny weather outside! How cool! We had sunshine inside and outside, too!
In the first photo there's a white house, where my hostmom is living on the second floor.
Because it looked so nice outside, I went there, and relax in sun bath.
Look mommy, so much of snow has already melted away. Spring has come, and snow is dissapearing really fast. And the ice on the lake is melting, too.
Yeah, summer will come soon!

Wow, this macine is amazing! I can chat with you, even though I'm so far away from home. It's so nice to talk with you, mommy! Hostmom told me this small macine is a phone, and in Finnish it is puhelin or kännykkä.
Well, let me tell you something, mom. Today was quite boring day, just because it was raining outside during the hole day long! So, I couldn't go outside to play or see places at all today. We all were inside and tried to think something nice things to do. But guess what? None of us has any idea, and it made us all very sleepy. And we went to sleep... Quite boring day, isn't it?
Hmmmm, nothing else to say for today. I hope tomorrow is the better day, and fun.

Today was much better weather outside than yesterday, so I went to outside to play in the evening. It was really fun!
I was in the playground to have some fun time there. The place's name is Eilan puisto, and it's located very near of hostmom's home.
I was swinging. It was really fun!
Others came, too!
There were Ronja, Telie, Mo, Sylvia, Porridge, Finfin, Tokki and me.
Then I was swinging in other swing!
I was in the same side of the swing as Finfin, Telie and Sylvia.
Then we all decided to go to slide.
First must climb the stairs...
...and then it's time for the funniest part!
We decided to slide all together in the same time. Oh, how crazy idea!
But before that, we must climb the stairs once again.

It was fun!

I was outside today, because there's so nice sunshine there.
It was nice to walk next to the lake and see how spring is totally here.
I saw the first small flowers of this year's spring, and first leaf in the trees. Also some birds and beautiful landscape!
Hostmom is living just next to this beautiful lake. Oh, she is so lucky!

I have had such a great time today!
It's a day before the May Day, so it's time to celebrate and have a party!
In the May Day Eve (April 30th) and May Day (May 1st) Finnish people are celebrating, too. May Day is almost like a spring carneval or festival in Finland.
We decided to have a fancy dress party. It was really fun!
We dressed ourselves as ourselves.
Mommy, I'm here!!! (No, I was only kidding!!!
It's Porridge, who has dressed and now pretending to be me!)

Party goes on!
How cool!
It's May Day Eve today, and I tasted something Finnish May Day sweet. They called it as tippaleipä (=funnel cake).
Wikipedia says this about funnel cakes (click) "Funnel cakes are made by pouring unleavened batter into hot cooking oil in a circular pattern and deep frying the overlapping mass until golden-brown. When made at concession stands, a pitcher with an integral funnel spout is employed. Funnel cakes are typically served plain with powdered sugar."
And a drink is sima.
Wikipedia says this about sima (click)
"Sima is a sweet mead, still an essential seasonal, sparkling brew connected with the Finnish Vappu festival. It is usually spiced by adding both the flesh and rind of a lemon. During secondary fermentation raisins are added to control the amount of sugars and to act as an indicator of readiness for consumption — they will swell by absorbing carbon dioxide and rise to the top of the bottle when the drink is ready."
It was so yummy!
Every year in May Day Eve, the statue of Minna Canth has got a special hat, ylioppilaslakki (=white cap). It's always few students, who can put the hat on the Minna Canth's head.

Hostmom told me, that not all can own this special white cap. Only they, who has successfully completed the upper secondary school final exams, matriculation examinations, can have those white caps. And this time of the year, Vappu (May Day), is the time for celebrate this.
When we were back inside, I could try hostmom's white cap.

Because it's May Day, there was a flag of Finland in the flagpole. The flag looks quite nice, when the sky is so blue (today it was!)
Today I did also something exiting! I went to see some very cool cars!
There was a Car Show in Jyväskylä, so there were SO MANY old and new, and cool cars there!

Today I had really exiting day!
Guess what I did? Hostmom took me with her to a postcrossing meeting! The meeting was in a postcard shop named Harjun Paperi, in the Jyväskylä city center.
It was really fun! I met other nice Finnish people, and a real living dog, too! But don't worry mom, the dog was very kind.
I wrote postcards, eat some little snacks, and having a little adventure in the shop between all those wonderful postcards and other little stuff there. I had a great time as you can see from photos.

I found this cute thing today. It's quite interesting... What it might be?
Mommy, is this thing perhaps a rocket? Is it going to space?
Can I go in? Mommy, can I go to travel in space? I would visit the Moon, and many planets, and I want to see the black hole, asteroids etc... (I'm dreaming...)

We got some company today. There were an envelope in today's mail. And yes, there was a ToyVoyager inside!
We all were wondering, who this new TV might be.
We only saw a brown head and two big white teeth peeking out of the envelope. I haven't ever seen that kind of creature before.
The new TV came out of the envelope, and introduced as a B.o.B. the beaver.
B.o.B. gave us some candies.
I gave B.o.B. a hug as a welcome.
And then we had a welcome party for B.o.B.

At first, I want to say this warning to everyone, who is reading this...
IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF SPIDERS OR SOME OTHER SMALL BUGS, DON'T READ THIS UPDATE!
Well, now it has been said, and I can continue to tell you, what I have done.
I did today something really exiting! Mommy, can you guess what I did? It's related to spiders!!! How cool!
I tell you that little bit later...
First, I need to go outside, because we all walked to this "secret-spider-place". But, it was raining, and it wasn't quiet raining. It was raining a lot!
But don't worry mom, I didn't get wet, I got my umbrella with me.
And now it's time to tell you, mom, where I was going. I visited to see the Tarantula Birdspider Exhibition (more info: click here ) <--- I'm sorry, it's Finnish
There were many different big spiders, tarantulas, and other bugs and butterflies, too, showed from all over the World.
First, I saw some really beautiful butterflies. Some of them were SO BIG sized.
...And some bugs...
...And some cool and BIG sized spiders!
This one was the biggest tarantula in the exhibition.
I'm sorry about the quality of photos, but there were difficult lights for taking photos in that exhibition room.
I saw a real living scorpion, too!

Guess what? Another ToyVoyager arrived here today!
He is Erol the Pirat from Germany.
We all gave him a group hug as a welcome.
He showed a postcard from his hometown, and we ate candies what he has brought from his home. They were so yummy!

I had a fantastic and so funny day today!!!
I visited in the amusement park named Suomen Tivoli!!!
I was there with all other ToyVoyagers. And guess what? We met a new puppy toy (look the second photo). He wasn't a ToyVoyager, he was with one employer of the amusement park. He came to sit next to us to the bench, and he was in the same photo with us!
There were so many crazy things in that amusement park. And I was so brave, because I went to The Giant Wheel. It was so exiting, but I really liked the views. Hostmom took good care of me, I was in her lap or in her hands all the time.
Hostmom told me this Suomen Tivoli is the travelling amusement park. It stays some times in one city, and then it travels to the other city, and it travels in different parts of Finland.
I had a really great time today!

I found today's newspaper Keskisuomalainen, and I read it. But mommy, all is written in Finnish! So weird language!!!

We went outside to the lake. There we released the bottle.

I had a wonderful day! I went to visit exiting place, where I climbed so high, and where could see so awesome landscape views. Can you guess already, where I was?
Yes, I visited in the ski jump place here in Jyväskylä!!!
Watch very carefully these photos... Can you believe there's still little bit of snow there?
Hihii!!! This is like a BIG slide! Mommy, this is soooooo fun!!!
I wanted to climb up... I wanted to see this place even more better. And I wanted to see the view up there...
So, I climbed up. It was hard work, but I managed it.
Sooooo long stairs!!!
But as I was thinking, the view... Wow! So beautiful!
On the way back, I saw some great things.
I saw this mysterious tunnel. What might be in the other side of the tunnel? Hmmmm...
...There's even more forest, offcourse!
I saw also the small stream. Look, how pretty it is!
And I saw the beautiful butterfly, too.
It was just pity, that the butterfly flew away before I managed to be in the same picture...

Today I was cycling with my hostmom and all other ToyVoyagers.
And because Finland is "the country with thousands of lakes" we were cycling around the lake named Jyväsjärvi. There I saw beautiful nature of this town. And guess what... the lake is just next to city center!
Hostmom also told me that there's about 188 000 lakes in Finland. Wow! So many!
Cool!
Look how nice little basket hostmom put in her bicycle. We all toys travelled in it.
And here we go! Oh, mommy, I can already see the lake! Can you?
From there we just came...
And there you can see the lake, a street for cars and a railway, too.
Now we are even more close to the lake Jyväsjärvi.
The city center is so close the lake.
Now we are in Jyväsjärvi. And we are going to cycle all around the hole lake!

Ok, I have to admit, that this view is quite nice (there's the bridge of Kuokkala again in the picture, hih).
It's so nice that there's this small street for pedestrians and bikes so close this lake.
Hostmom told me, that this is the popular for people to exercise by walking, running, cycling, rolleyskating etc. around this lake.
There's Lutakko.
And there's Kuokkala.
And there are both: Kuokkala and Lutakko.
Look mom! Can you see that small castle just in front?
The castle is part of the park named Peukkula. It's a place where children can play all the day, and meet some fairy tale creatures!!!
Now we are in the bridge named Äijälänsilta. Look, there's two men canoeing there! Can you see them?

Isn't this view nice? There's many birches, very typical tree in Finland.
Hih hih... Guess what is this bridge's name... YES, it's the bridge of Kuokkala, only from the other side of the lake now.

Look, there's two wild ducks swimming (yes, those two small black spots in the lake)
And the journey continues. Look how green there is.
On the left side, there's trees.
And on the right side, there's the lake.
This bridge called as Mattilanniemen silta (a bridge of Mattilanniemi).
And we keep going...

Now we have cycled around the hole lake!
When we were back inside, we looked from the map, where we were cycled exactly. Look the red line around the lake, that is the way we were cycled today. Hostmom told me, we cycled about 15 kilometres. Wow!

I did something special today! I helped Mi Nam to complete one of her life mission.
Together we did some rabbit things. It was really fun!
We eat carrots.
And some salad, too! Yummy!
Then we played hiding. We did it in "rabbit style".

I have been so good time with my ToyVoyager friends here, that I haven't got a time to write updates daily...
Hostmom has got busy days at work lately, and she has been quite tired after the work day, so we toys have been doing something ourselves. One of the most nicest thing we have done, is playing different boardgames. It has been fun!
We have been played for example the Monopoly, Muuttuva labyrintti (the changing labyrinth) and different kinds of plays with playing cards.
Hostmom promised, that I can go outside soon, because the weather forecast has told there will be so nice weather here in the next following days.

I was outside today with other ToyVoyagers.
We went walking to the hostmom's backyard. There's already a summer here, and there's so green in everywhere!
I wanted to see more, so I climbed to the tree, a birch (koivu in Finnish).
There's the house of hostmom's home.
We went to see the flowers more closer.
I think these flowers are so beautiful.

Look, how beautiful view there is!
Here are we all just taking a little brake off walking.
Then we walked to see the lake. And we all were sitting and watched the lake and landscape there.
It's so finnish things: a lake and a tree.
I found these yellow flowers just next to water.
Now I am going back inside.
When we went back inside, we noticed that there has come a new ToyVoyager, Wayne gingerbreadman, to visit hostmom. How nice!

I had a w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l day!
Guess what I did... I was in a TOYVOYAGER MEETING!!!
Just great!!! I met sooooooo many new ToyVoyagers, and we had so much fun!
Here are we all toys together in Kirkkopuisto (a church park).
Our hosts and moms mmm105 and Reissari from Finland, and RikeH from Germany has organized this meeting, thanks for them!
Mommy, look very carefully these pictures!

YES, it's Vriendje!!! Mommy, your other TV was here, too!!!
Then mmm105 and Reissari said they have a secret, and we all must trust them. They talked each other something about benji jumping...
No no no, I won't do that!!! It's too crazy thing to do!!!
But it wasn't a benji jumping place where we went. I was so relief about that. mmm105 and Reissari were just kidding!
We went to see more Finnish people in a great postcard shop, where was a postcrossing meeting there. That was nice!
After that we went to the restaurant and I ate pizza, yummy.
Then was time to go "home", to mmm105's place.
There we said welcome to a new TV TobiHH, who came to visit mmm105.
After a long and exiting day, I was quite tired, so I went to sleep...

Today hostmom took me with her to visit a great place.
We went to näkötorni (the viewing tower) to see good views about Jyväskylä city.
And the views were definitely so great! I saw the hole city from there!
The viewing tower is located in the place called Harju (it's like a hill just next to city center).
There's the city center, and the harbour of Jyväskylä:

And if you look very carefully on the horizon of the following picture, you can see the ski jumping place there:
There's the house where hostmom is living! Yes, the building inside the red circle.
There's Natural History Museum in the same building as the viewing tower is.
So, I visited there, too.
I saw many Finnish animals there.
The Natural History Museum's website (click) tells that "The Natural History Section serves as a preservation unit for natural scientific research, and displays environmental subjects and research material. It takes care of the living plants of the botanical garden on the campus. It also receives wild animals found dead and prepares scientific samples of them. The section has a collection of over 250 000 samples, the most numerous being invertebrates, plants and moss."
I saw hirvi (a moose). It is the biggest animal living in Finland.
And I saw karhu (a bear). This one was a baby bear.
And there's two swans. A swan is the national animal of Finland.
Just next to Harju, we all stopped to watch a fountain.
And by walking in the city center I saw this little detail on the wall of one building.

Today is a sad and a happy day.
It's sad, because Mi Nam and Finfin has left from here to travel to their new hosts.
But it's happy, because a new toy BarryO arrived here.
First we all said goodbye to Mi Nam and Finfin.
They went to their envelopes.
Bye bye, travel safe!!!
Then we met a new toy, a teddy bear named BarryO. He is originally from USA.
Then we had a little party!!!
We ate some German sweets, what Sabbel&Jenton has sent to hostmom.

Today we spend a girly quality time, because we all girls; hostmom, me, Kit-Kat and Ronja were shopping!!!
All boys stayed 'home', hihiii...
This shopping was our special time together.
We went to city center of this town, and we visited in many shops.
We saw also some men from foreign country, who were there playing a music.
We also met an ice cream teddy named Ingman (so funny name)!!!
Hih, and we bought many things, mostly some summer clothes to our hostmom...

Last night I was outside walking. I went to see the lake, and I wished to see a beautiful sunset. And I really did see it!!!
There's so typical Finnish things: trees and a lake.
I saw there some very pretty flowers.
It was a beautiful night. I saw a beautiful sunset, and all those clouds in the sky made it even more pretty and special, I think.
It was absolutely very relaxing to watch this beautiful view!

It was such a lovely day today, we all decided to go to a picnic.
But first have to make some food to take away.
Some carrots...
...and some grapes, too.
Then we all packed the food.
Then it's time to go.
This place seems to be a good place to have a little picnic.
No no no, we changes the place.
This second place is much more better, because we are now just next to lake.
It was so nice just to relax there with good company!
We spent many hours there. We all just had so much fun!
But then, we decided to go back inside.

I cooked today!
I did some "stuffed tomatoes", and it was yummy.
First thing to do is wait untill a frying pan is hot enough...
Then it's time to put the meat to the frying pan, and make them brown.
Then I made some grated cheese.
I prepared tomatoes. I covered them with a spoon, and I made tomatoes empty. And those covered tomatoes I put into the bowl.
Then it's time to make tomatoes full again.
I put meat and grated cheese into tomatoes.
Offcourse I used also some spicyes, like oregano...
Tomatoes are almost ready. They just need to put into owen, and when the cheese has got some nice colour, they are ready.
Yummy, it's ready!!!

Today I watched television. There was very popular program, Moomins.
Moomin charachters and stories are popular in Finland, but also almost all over the World. The writer of Moomin stories is Tove Jansson (1914-2001).
Hostmom told me, that there's many many Moomin things here in Finland. First of all, there's the Moominworld in Naantali, the Moomin museum in Tampere, and there's also lots of Moomin products selling in Finland.

I met today a new ToyVoyager, hostmom's own new TV Kurnau. We all introduced ourselves to him.
Mommy, I did something marvellous today. I plowed, and there were... there were MANY magical bubbles flying in the air!!! Just like that!!! Wow!!! Can you believe it?
Oh, and then happened something unbelievable: those bubbles suddenly didn't exist anymore...
I was so confused... What it was?
Hostmom explained to me that they are soap bubbles.
And when they hit something, they exploded.
Ooooh, now I underestand.

Today ToyVoyagers B.o.B. and Erol the Pirat left us. They both are travelling to Germany now.
We others said goodbye to B.o.B. and Erol the Pirat. I hope their journey will be safe and nice.

I went to visit in place called Viherlandia today. It's a place, where are selling lots of different flowers and other plants, and other things needed in gardening. There's also a cafe.
Hostmom went to this place, because there was a postcrossing meeting there. But first, she showed me something really great: two living parrots, Kalle and Torsti!
Here is me and the other parrot.
After meeting parrots, we went to cafe. And because I was very hungry, I ate a panini (a toasted/grilled warm sandwich). It was so good, that others came to eat it, too...
And for dessert, I ate a piece of cheese cake. Yummy!
Then I took part in a postcrossing meeting. And guess what?!? There I met two new ToyVoyagers: A teddybear and a horse (they were with another Finnish host Delenna there).

Postcrossers are so crazy, they allways write so MANY postcards!!!
After the postcrossing meeting, I went to look around. I wanted to see, what kind of place it is.
I found many nice things there.
We were riding a bike there!!! Yippee!!!
And we saw the flowers were riding a bikes, too!!!

I met some gnomes, too. They were very funny!

There were today some strawberries on the kitchen table.
I tasted them, and because they were so good, I invited others to come and eat them, too.
And we ate them... we ate a lot...
Oh my... uuups... we ate them ALL... Hopefully hostmom will not be mad, because we ate them ALL...

It’s juhannusaatto (Midsummer’s Eve) today. I saw something really exited thing: juhannuskokko (a Midsummer bonfire)! It was so cool.
Here are some info about Midsummer celebrations in Finland:
"In the Finnish midsummer celebration rituals include bonfires, cookouts, a sauna and spending time together. Bonfires are very common and are burnt at lakesides and by the sea. In folk magic, midsummer is a very potent night and the time for many small rituals, mostly for young maidens seeking suitors and fertility. An important feature of the midsummer in Finland is the white night and the midnight sun. Because of Finland's location spanning around the Arctic Circle the nights near the midsumme day are short or non-existent (in Lappland there’s several days when sun doesn’t set at all). This gives a great contrast to the darkness of the winter time."
It was really nice to experience this Finnish celebration.
And mommy, can you believe that these photos have been taken just 1-2 hours before midnight, and there is still not dark at all!!!

I visited in the local trainstation, and I saw a very old train there.
They don't use it anymore to travel, but it's a nice statue/decoration in the trainstation.

It's my time to go on. I said goodbye to my hostmom, and all other toyfriends here. I'm going to miss them all, I had a great time in Finland. But I'm also so exited, because I'm going to USA, to the big country in the opposite side of the big ocean!!!
I went to my envelope, and said 'Bye bye!' to all.
My next adventure will start soon...

Today we stayed in the city of Des Moines, Iowa. We braved the hot sun and visited The Pappa Johns Sculpture park in downtown Iowa.

We've been seeing some interesting things on the road lately. We stop at a lot of truck stops and there are showers and special things for the truckers. Here I am in front of "The Trucker's Chapel" somewhere in Pennsylvania...

Hi Again!
We stopped off outside of Boston. The hotels there were really expensive so Carolyn settled on a Motel 6, but all they had was a smoking room. NEVER stay in a smoking room at a hotel. It was sooo-o gross. Anyway here we are outside of Boston-I'm getting excited -we are almost to Maine!!!
