YIPPEE! YIPPEE! YIPPEE! Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I'm the happiest rabbit all over the world! (Mayby  ;))

Now I'm old enough to travel round the world. And I will do it. I will see all countries, buildings, people, religions, cultures and and and ... everthing! YIPPEE! YIPPEE! YIPPEE!

*harrumph*

I'm sorry for my behavior, but ... I'm so excited and I just can't hide it ... Ok, that's from a song, but it apply to my feeling. I'd like to hug the whole world and above my mummy, that she allowed me to travel rount the world. ... Hmmm this remind me another song: And I like it! I like it! I like it! I like it! I li-li-like it li-li-like here I go! Rocking all over the world!  ;)

You see, with me it not will be boring. No kidding! I hope you will be my host for some days or weeks. I'm very very very sweet-natured, not only a crazy rabbit. You can see it on the photo I take for you all. I pick up all the roses for you an arrange them for you all.

Hope to her from you or better: see you as soon as possible.

Hugs and Kisses Hoppsi

Behind me you can see a little of the Stiftskirche St. Peter and Paul
(left tower) and a tower of our castle (tower right)

And not I must limber up. I sould drink a tea. But which one? Oh, my mentor has a big assortment.

See you later alligator...*sing*

Ok I'm back and now I will give you some Impressions from my hometown Öhringen. To take the pictures I go for a walk with my mentor and Quini. Quini is a Cairn Terrier and she is lovely.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/06.jpg

I will miss her, when I go on my journies. But she and all others will be in my heart. We walked to our park which has a litte zoo. We have Kangaroos in it, but today it was to cold, so we didn't any of them. But I wish I can see some in australia, when I go there on time. On the next Picture you can see the Tower of our church "Stiftskirche" which I posted yesterday night.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/07.jpg

Oh and the next one shows you a very very very importand person of Öhringen. He's called Hamballe. Hmm like to discribe in English what this means? I try: By us in Hohenlohe Hamballe is the description for a loveable, but also silly human. - Like you see on the picture. He water flowers although it's raining. (I like him!  ;))

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/08a.jpg

Now you will see me on a red bench, there are more in Öhringen. It was a projekt from someone. An there always funny phrases on it. When i translate they won't be so funny I think. But I make it for you: "During the witching hour: Booked for Fridolin, the litte castleghost." (Good, that it wasn't witching hour when I take the photo  :D)

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/09a.jpg

After the seat I climbed up the ballustrade of the Stiftskirche (I'm a strong rabbit  :))

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/10.jpg

And then we go a little shopping and walk home. It's dark allready:

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/11.jpg

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/12a.jpg

Ok, now I tell you enought for today. I hope you arent't bored. Now I must crochet a scarf for me and arrange all for my first travel. But more tomorrow.  B)

Hugs yours,
Hoppsi

HEEEEEEEELPPPPPP!!!! Oh dear! Yesterday I told you, that I will crochet a scarf for me. I did it .... but .... I have a little Problem with it. A little ... First it was very easy ...

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/13.jpg

... But than I lost my concentration and the Problem beginns ... A little Problem ... very little ...

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/14.jpg

Mommy laugh at me an take those picture, that makes me first angry. But than she help me out of this mess and show me the picture. I must laugh, too. I look really laughable and I wasn't angry anymore. After that she helps me a little and today at the morning it was ready and I test it. I love the scarf. It's so colourful and pretty and nice. Isn't it?

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/15.jpg

And than we drive to the place of work of my mentor. But for this I will write another Log, because it's in another Place.  ;)

So, let's work. Hehe ... Ok, Mommy works and I look how she did it and have a lot of fun. But I have to be quitly, because she have to phone with customers and they are visiting the hall, too. I was     crayoning with my friend Pinguine. She is a pink penguin, what her name allready says, and lies at work by my mentor where she helps her. But look at our nice pictures.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/16.jpg

And when the situation at work gets better, not so a lot of customers, Mommy allowed us to help her with the work on her PC. But we think, that it is better to look at the background of her desktop.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/17.jpg

She told me, that this is Pisa, where she was on holiday this year. And so I began to dream about my travel and I hope, that I will see the Tower of Pisa too on my journey.

At closing time we have a surprise for Mommy. We lied at the copier and make this:

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/18.jpg

It was very funny, when se looks what there is for a paper in it. She look at uns first cross. And we had a bad conscience. I said to her "Don't be cross with us!" And than she smile and caress us. So we where happy.

There's a very nice place at her work. They have two water walls with lights. One is blue and the othe ris red. But the blue one is empty at the moment and so we take a picture behind the red one.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/19.jpg

And after that we switch off the lights, close the doors and drive back home. Now I must pack off for my first trip. See you later, I will report you from this.

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh .... I'm so happy and so excited, you can't belive how muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch!

I packed my things which I want to take with me. There are my colourful, selfmade scarf and a toothbrush. I think that this is enough. The rest may my host have.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/20.jpg

After packing I watch one of my favorite series with my Mommy. We love to watch this (an other series also). But Hogan's Heroes are one of our favorites. We saw every episode about a thounsend times, but we laught every time we watch it.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/21.jpg

And about 5 episodes later it was time to say goodbye, my first Host ScillyHH is waiting for me. I'm a bit melancholy, but not only I. My Mentor is it, too. And Quini ... See yourself.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/22.jpg

She's sitting in front of the door, when I want to go out the last time with her. She won't let me go. But I want do this, I will be a ToyVoyager and so I must go, but I will write so often I can the log. So everbody at home can see what I'm doing and they will see, that I'm happy and everything is ok.

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/23.jpg

So, now I have all the things and I'm in the envelope. Now I thing, that it's good that I practice to pipe down.  ;)

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n530/ToyVoyagerHost/Hoppsi/24.jpg

Yippy Yeah.... I arrived in Hamburg.
First I heard a voice "post for you!" and then my envelope was opened. First I was a litle bit shy. A rabbit lady and a bear were looking at me.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC099240001.jpg

We introduced us to each other. The rabbit lady is called Clairchen. I'm happy to have a fellow rabbit here. The bear is Lewis HH who comes from Scotland.  Both are very kind.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC099250001.jpg

We had a late breakfast. I took a cup of hot tea to warm me up after a night in the german post. We talked a lot about being a ToyVoyager. And Clairchen and Lewis wanted to know everything about me.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC099270001.jpg

Now I'm looking forward to explore Hamburg.

Hi mum,

the weather was not so good today. We decided to stay at home and bake a lemon cake for Scillys colleagues.

See us with this very long recipe! Puh, very long for a small rabbit like me  :(
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC000450001.jpg

Scilly gave us all the ingredients and than we started with the dough. Puh, hard to stir the dough.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC000460001.jpg

Here I'm looking for the cake in the oven.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC000490001.jpg

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC000500001.jpg

Scilly allowed me to put some shortbreads on the cake.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC000510001.jpg

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC000520001.jpg

Finally the cake is ready! See us with the whole cake! This should be enough for Scillys colleagues! Perhaps we can try a piece?  ;)
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/DSC000560001.jpg

Yippy Yeah, yes I got the first piece. And it's delicious!!!!

Hi mum,

I have a great time in Hamburg. It is a very nice city. Today Clairchen und Lewis showed me the city hall. Wow, its nearly a palace.  :D

Can you see the city hall behind me?

It was possible to visit the entrance hall.

The city hall has a courtyard with a nice fountain.

Hi Mum

Today we visited one of the oldest parts of Hamburg.
See me in front of the Nikolaifleet. It's a town canal where in former centuries boates were unloaded and loaded. Even now you find many old timbered houses on the canal. Many tradesmen lived and worked in these houses.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/Hoppsi05November2011/DSC000210012.jpg

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/Hoppsi05November2011/DSC000180009.jpg

I especially like this old house. It's beautiful, isn't it?
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/Hoppsi05November2011/DSC000200011.jpg

See me with my new friends Clairchen and Lewis.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/Hoppsi05November2011/DSC000140006.jpg

In the background you can see a part of the "Elbphilarmonie". When it is finished it will be a music hall. Scilly promised that we will visit the Hafencity and the Elbphilarmonie during my stay  :D
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/Hoppsi05November2011/DSC000110003.jpg

Near the Nikolaifleet are some old restaurants and shops.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/Hoppsi05November2011/DSC000260017.jpg

See me inside a small shop.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/Hoppsi05November2011/DSC000270018.jpg

Tomorrow Clairchen and Lewis have a big surprise for me. I'm very curious. What could it be??? Perhaps a giant carrot for me? Or a boat trip on the river Elbe? I can't await it :cyclops:

Hi mum,

Tonight I'm writing you full of excitment.
We visited the airport and saw the aeroplanes lifting off to all over the world. I thought it would be great to fly.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/Hoppsi06112011/DSC000350007.jpg

Then Scilly told me the great surprise: Next friday we are flying to London and then riding on a train to Cornwall. Yeah, my first flight. Now I'm feeling like a professional TV.

Look mum, I've already found my BA-flight 963 on the monitor.

Hi mum,

It's unbelievable! We are in England and we have 16 degrees Celsius and so much sunshine in November!
We decided to enjoy the good weather at the beaches of St Ives. There are 5 of in town!
First we visited Porthgwidden beach near our holiday apartment, a small one with a nice café.

Hi mum,

Today I had my first sunday lunch in a small pub in St Ives. Homemade pork and turkey with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables - yummi!!!

After the lunch we went to Porthmeor beach. It was very windy but not cold.

Hi mum,

Today is Richys birthday. Scilly, Clairchen, Lewis and I decorated the birthday table. It's nice, isn't it?

The sun was shining and so we went to the harbour. See me with the colorful boats. At low tide you can walk through the boats.

Hi mum,

Today we went on a bus tour around Penwith Peninsula. It is the most western part of Cornwall and really beautiful.

First we went to Penzance. It is situated in the Mount Bay. See me with St Michaels Mount in the far background. It is an old abbey on an island. How imposing!
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00631.jpg

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00632.jpg

In Penzance we had to change buses. Look at the many buses waiting.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00642.jpg

First stop was Newlyn, the biggest fishing port in Cornwall.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00646.jpg

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00649.jpg

Next stop was Mousehole. This is a little fishing village.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00652.jpg

Then we came to Lamorna. In former time this was a smugglers cove.
Here is the old pub where the smugglers met.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00654.jpg

Next stop was Porthcurno. Look at the lovely view from above.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00658.jpg

See me in front of Sennen cove, one of the most popular surfing beaches.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00669.jpg

There are many old tin mines in Cornwall. See me passing a ruin.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00672.jpg

Then we stopped over at an old pub called Gurnards Head.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves15112011/DSC00673.jpg

I had a hot chocolate inside. It was comfy with a fireplace.

Hi mum,

today was a rainy day. So we decided to spend the day in our holiday apartment.
First I want to show you the ToyVoyagers bedroom. Yes we have a bedroom for ourselfs with a big bed and cushion for each of us.  B)
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00747.jpg

We played Hide and Seek. See me in the drawer.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00748.jpg

Then we played in the shelves.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00742.jpg

We tried to ride this seagull. But no worry it was only a wooden one.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00745.jpg

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00746.jpg

And it was raining, raining, raining......
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00741.jpg

So Scilly gave us a book and we red a little bit. But the book had no pictures - boring! :p
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00740.jpg

Then Scilly gave us each an advent calendar. Look at me with mine. I'm looking forward to open the boxes in December.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00739.jpg

And I have a surprise for you  :D I wrote you a picture postcard from Cornwall and posted it by myself in the letterbox for you.

Hi mum,

tonight the visited the festival of lights in Truro. A bus picked us up in St Ives.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00755.jpg

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00756.jpg

Before the beginning of the parade we had time to visit the famous Truro cathedral. Look how imposing it looks.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves16112011/DSC00771.jpg

Then the parade began. In the middle of the parade the christmas lights of Truro were switched on. The whole town was out and about.
Here are some photographs of the lightning parade.

Hi mum,

Yesterday it was raining the whole day but today we woke up with sunshine B) No question, we had to spent the day outside at the beaches to enjoy the sun.
First we spend time at Porthgwidden beach. See me with my friends on a big rock.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves17112011/DSC00876.jpg

But it was windy. So we found shelter below the rock. Can you see us?
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves17112011/DSC00877.jpg

On the next photograph you can see me above Bamaluz beach. But where is the beach gone? No worry, it's only a beach at low tide. And today we visited it at high tide.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves17112011/DSC00880.jpg

In the harbour nearly all boats were in the water today.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves17112011/DSC00895.jpg

We found this old anchor from an old ship wreck.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves17112011/DSC00889.jpg

Look at me with this two seagulls. There are many seagulls in St Ives.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves17112011/DSC00890.jpg

At the end of the day Clairchen and Lewis showed me the harbour amusements. But Scilly said, that's nothing for a small TV like me.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves17112011/DSC00902.jpg

But it looks interesting ;)

Hi mum,

our last day in St Ives. See us sitting by the harbour to take a last long look.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves18112011/DSC009330001.jpg

Then we saw a small dog hunting seagulls. We talked to him and found out his name is Spencer. He works as a dog on a fishing boat. He was very interested in our life as a TV. See us chatting with Spencer.
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves18112011/DSC009550001.jpg

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves18112011/DSC009610001.jpg

Scilly and Richy offered Spencer to become a Toyvoyager too. And Spencer was happy to join in. So all four of us took a long last look at Porthgwidden beach.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Hoppsi1/StIves19112011/DSC009770001.jpg

My second flight - now I am an experienced flyer. I even asked the stewardess about air miles. I didn't get the miles yet but the full "fly to serve" treatment.

we had a quiet week because Scilly was very busy.
And the weather this weekend is quite terrible. So we stayed home and prepared the Christmas decorations.
See me with this funny fat round Father Christmas.

See us in progress.

Hi mum,

Today Scilly showed us the famous St Michaelis church also called "Hamburger Michel". It is the biggest church in town and one of Hamburgs landmark.
See me in front of the Michel.

There are so many things to see. This is the toy alley, very interesting for me.  B) Can you see the small railway above me?
http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Toyvoyagers/20111211/DSC014120012.jpg

The Christmas market was overcrowded. So many people around us!

Hi mum,

it's the last day of the year. We will have a party this evening. But in the afternoon we took a long walk in the residencial town of Ludwigslust in Mecklenburg.  See the nice palace behind me.

Happy New Year!

Hi everyone,

This evening we had a little New Years Eve party. We sat on the party table and talked to each other.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Toyvoyagers/20111231_1/DSC01582.jpg

Scilly had bought some roman candles. Look, that’s me with my favorite one. It is funny, isn’t it?

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff516/ScillyHH/Toyvoyagers/20111231_1/DSC01583.jpg

At midnight we saw the fantastic firework. This was a nice start for the new year!

Hey mum,
how's you? I arrived in Duisburg today! I was pretty excited to get out of the envelope, but I had to wait until my host arrived in Mettmann, her hometown, as it is her mother's.birthday.
So unfortunately there aren't any pictures of.today. I just wanted to let you know that I had a save journey and arrived. I'm looking forward to spend my time in Duisburg. Tomorrow I'll go to Essen with my host for some shopping. :) maybe we'll find something nice for me too.

Bye mum! I miss you.

Hey mum!
Today Liz took me to Essen with her for some shopping. Essen is a city in the central part of the ruhr area. In 2010 it was the European Capital of Culture.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-06/01.jpg
This is me in the pedestrian area in Essen. It's the Kettwiger Straße, which is full of shops from the main station of Essen down to the so called Porscheplatz and there's the Limbecker Platz not far from that, which is a shopping mall.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-06/02.jpg
This is me in front of the Rathaus Gallerie.
We shopped a bit, especially in the new Primark in Essen, and went back to the car. We passed this big wheel, which is still there from the "Essener Lichtwochen". The "Lichtwochen"are a tradition, that started in 1950 with just a handfull of lights in the streets. Today they whole city is shining during the "Lichtwochen". Shame I didn't get to see it :(
Nevertheless "Wilmelm" (that was the name of the big wheel - funny, huh?) is still there. Sadly I wasn't allowed to take a ride...
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-06/04.jpg
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-06/05.jpg
And this is me in front of the "Lichtburg". It's a cinema, but a historical. It has one of the biggest cinema halls in Germany - it has 1250 seats. The building is from 1928, so it's more than 80 years old! It's been almost completely destroyed in the 2nd world war, but was rebuild and reopened in 1950. It's under monumental protection since 1998. I think it looks very cool from the outside, but as we didn't want to watch a movie I didn't get to see the inside... :(

Now I'm in Duisburg with my host and we will probably just relax for the rest of the day. I'll probably watch a movie with the other TVs. They're all very nice!

I miss you mummy!

Hey mummy!
I've been to Düsseldorf for the first time today. Well, I didn't get to see a lot. Actually just the mainstation and the cinema right next to it ^^
I joined Liz today to watch Sherlock Holmes 2 with her parents.
I was very excited, because we were going to Düsseldorf by train. But it wasn't that full. I got my own seat for the 25-minute-ride.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-07/DSC_0281.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-07/DSC_0282.jpg
It was pretty rainy so I didn't get to see much from the countryside we passed on our way to Düsseldorf mainstation. We also passed the airport in Düsseldorf, but there weren't any planes landing or starting at that time. Liz said that visitors can go to the observation deck at the station and observe the starting and landing tracks. I think this is very excited! I hope we'll go there!!
When we arrived at the mainstation, we just got off the platform and headed right to the cinema. The station was sooooo full! I've never seen so many people in one spot! It was a little scary.
Luckily I just fit into Liz's bag, so I didn't have to buy a ticket for the movie. Hehe!
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-07/DSC_0283.jpg
We had pretty good seats. In the back, but in the middle of the row. I had a good view, as you can see on the picture.
The film was great! I loved it.
Tomorrow Liz will take me and the other TVs to Oberhausen. She'll be watching the musical "Cats". Probably. Pretty excited! On Friday Liz will take me to school with her in Düsseldorf and afterwards she'll show me around a little. :)

Hey!
Today we visited a new city with our host. We went to Oberhausen, which is also located in the Ruhr area between Duisburg and Essen. Our host wanted to watch the musical Cats (which she didn't in the end, but we didn't know when we were going there). Cats is - which is obvious by the name - about cats. It is a musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot. Long story short, it's all about the Jellicle Ball and who will be chosen to go to the Heavyside Layer and start a new Jellicle life. But, well, in the end we didn't get to see it... But Liz has the DVD of a London production at home, so we'll probably be watching this any time.
So, well... We went to Oberhausen. Before going to the CATS theatre/tent (it's a tent-tour), our host wanted to walk through the CentrO a little, because it was Sunday opening. The CentrO is a shopping mall, which also houses attractions such as a children's theme park and a water-lined boulevard with restaurants and pubs. Many shopping malls in Germany were build along the lines of the CentrO, because it made Oberhausen from a industry-based to a services-based economy.
When we arrived there, it was already getting dark. As mentioned, the CentrO has a water-lines boulevard, which looked lovely in the dark with the light reflections on the water.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-08/DSC_0293.jpg
This is me with Sanji and Luc Zeke in front of one of the restaurants there.
Inside the CentrO there were soooooo many people. I've rarely seen such a crowded place - especially on a Sunday afternoon.
It looked very pretty inside the CentrO. It was just a little weird, because they still had all their christmas decoration on everywhere, although we already had Epiphany two days before and my host already undecorated everything. But on the other hand it was all so shiny and lovely... :)
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-08/DSC_0302.jpg
Well, because of all those people we didn't stay inside very long... Just did some window-shopping and made our way to the CATS theatre. On our way there we passed the Metronom theatre. Unlike the CATS tent, this theatre is there all the time, with changing musicals. Since October 2011, the musical Dirty Dancing is played there (before that, Wicked was there for I guess 2 or 3 years...). I guess I don't have to summarize the plot...? We all know the movie about Johnny and Baby and their amazing dancing scene in the end.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-08/DSC_0308.jpg
You see, it looked very pink, because of the logo. Yeah, as we didn't watch CATS in the end, we just went back home, but it was nice anyway to be in a new city! :)

Wow, today was really exciting!
It's Friday, which means school for my host. She's going to school in Düsseldorf, which is the capital city of North Rhine-Westfalia, and as my mission is to visit all 16 capital cities of Germany, we were all taken to Düsseldorf today for a bit of sightseeing.
Her school is located in Bilk, which is a pretty popular part of Düsseldorf, because the Heinrich-Heine-University is also located there. So after school we went to the K21 first.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_01.jpg
On our way there, we passed a playground, where we luckily stopped, so that me, Luc Zeke and Sanji can have some fun. :)
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/alle_01.jpg
So, back to our way to the K21.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_02.jpg
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_03.jpg
The K21 ist the "Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen", so the art collection of North Rhine-Westfalia. There are two buildings, but we just visited the K21 in the Ständehaus. It's called K21, because in there you can see art (Kunst=K) of the 21st century. The Ständehaus was erected in a neo-Renaissance style by architect Julius Raschdorff between 1876 and 1880.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_04.jpg
In the garden around the K21 is a piece of art. It's called "Zwischenräume" (gaps) and was made by an artists called Alf Lechner. Well, I don't know what it's supposed to mean, but it looked nice, so we took a picture with it ^^
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_05.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_08.jpg
We didn't get it the K21, because Liz wasn't sure if taking pictures is allowed inside and it would've taken very long to see everything and then there wouldn't have been much time left for sightseeing. But outside the building was this statue.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_06.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_07.jpg
It's called "Vater Rhein und seine Töchter" (father Rhine and his daughters)
So we made our way along the lake to the tram.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_10.jpg
On the picture you can already see something, that is a landmark of Düsseldorf. You can see the Rheinturm (TV tower) from almost everywhere in the city, because it's huuuuuuge! We googled it's height - 240.50 m/789 ft). But we will get there ;)
So when we got to the tram, we went to the Landtag(State parliament), which is also in Bilk, but easiert and quicker to reach by tram. At the station is the "Apollo" theatre, which is a varieté and a circus.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_11.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_12.jpg
Well, that's what Liz said. But tickets are pretty expensive so we won't get to see it.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_13.jpg
Here's a picture of me at the Rhine. It was such a lovely weather! Pretty cold, but as I had my cap and my scarf, I wasn't really freezing. :) In the background you might be able to see a few building. These belong to the old-town of Düsseldorf. The Altstadt of Düsseldorf is known as "the longest bar in the world", because the small Old Town has more than 300 bards and discothèques. Impressive, huh? But we will get there on another day :)
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_15.jpg
This is me in front of the Landtag.
Right next to it is the Rheinturm.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_14.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_16.jpg
You can also get up there, but it was pretty full and we didn't want to wait that long. Liz said, that we will try it again, when she has a day off from school in a few weeks, so we can get there earlier. :)
On your way to the Hafen (harbour) we passed the WDR.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_17.jpg
It's the Westdeutscher Rundfunk, which means West German Broadcasting. The WDR was created in 1955, when the Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk (so the broadcast of north west Germany) was split into Norddeutscher Rundfunk (so the broadcast for north Germany) and Westdeutscher Rundfunk (broadcast for west Germany). WDR began broadcasting on two radio networks on 1st January 1956. In 1965 it also began its regional television service as WDF and has been known as WDR from 1994 on. In Düsseldorf there's one of many sub-regional studios, while the programmes are mainly run form the headquarters in Cologne. Maybe we go there, too, and thee the huge building.
Okay, enough of radio and television. We went trough the Hafen. It's obviously called harbour because the habour of Düsseldorf is located there. Well, there's another one in Düsseldorf-Reisholz, but this one if always called "Hafen". Actually it's called Media Harbour, because many media companys have their offices there. It is also full of spectacular post-modern architecture, for example the three constructions by Frank Gehry.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_18.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_19.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_20.jpg

Well, and as it's a habour, there are ships. Pretty much actually. And some of them looked really cool. I wanted to get on one of them but I wasn't allowed to. Altough no one was there… :( No one would have been able to see me… :( But they looked nice anyway, hehe.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_21.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-13/hoppsi_22.jpg

And this is another very crazy building. I hope you can really see it - there are colorful "people" climbing up the building... It's called the "Roggendorf-Haus" and the figures are called "Flossies". It was designes by a art professor from Stuttgart (in the south of Germany). They were originally designed for the opening of the German Plastic museum in 1998 and climbed up the walls of the NRW-forum "culture and economy", but had to be demounted in 1999, when the exhibition "art and plastics" ended. Well, the flossies had gathered so many fans until then, that Düsseldorf had to find another place for them instead of just removing them. In May 2002 they were officially added to the Roggendorf-Haus. All in all there are 29 figures climbing up and standing on the building.
I know it's not much of Düsseldorf, but I guess it's enough to show you, what you can see there :) And it's just a part of it. :) We'll visit some more places in the upcoming weeks. I'm pretty excited already :)

Hey!
It's me again. I'm having a great time in Duisburg, although the weather really sucks at the moment. It's rainy and windy all the time, so we don't really get the chance to get out a lot. But luckily it was dry today so we got to the Düsseldorf International airport to watch some planes. They have two observations desks at the airport, but we've just been to one of them.
The airport is the largest airport in North-Rhine Westfalia and the third largest in Germany. In 2011 over 20 millions passengers landed or startet in Düsseldorf. The so called skytrain, which is a "H-Bahn" (hanging railway or Hängebahn in German), is used as a inter-terminal transportation, which connects the terminals and parking decks with the railway station.
The airport has 3 terminals A,B,C, which weren't all built at the same time. C is the newest (1986), while B is the oldest (1973) (although terminal A was re-opened in 1998 after a rebuilding). The different airlines are located in the different terminals. For example terminal A is mainly used by Lufthansa and Lufthansa Regional and its airpline partners while B is used for domestic and EU-flights by Air Berlin and SkyTeam and Oneworld members (like British Airways or Air France). So each terminal has a special "purpose".
Okay, so, as I already said, there are two observations decks. One is inside the airport located at terminal B, from where you can see the air traffic on the apron and the aircraft dispatch procedures. The other one is located at the railway station and this is where we were. You can see the takeoff and landing runways, and that was soooo exciting!

In the background you can see the airport building and the space, where the dispatch procedures happen.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-14/hoppsi_02.jpg
There were so many planes landing and taking off. I don't know where they came from or where they were flying, but it was cool to see them from that close actually. This is a Lufthansa plane for example.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-14/hoppsi_03.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-14/hoppsi_04.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-14/hoppsi_05.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-14/hoppsi_06.jpg
Sorry for being out of focus from time to time, but otherwise you wouldn't have been able to see the planes.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-14/hoppsi_07.jpg
This thing was huuuuuuuuge! That was an airbus from Emirates. An Airbus A330 to be exact. I mean, you see the AirBerlin plane on the upper photo and it was taken from the same distance and this Airbus was really really big! We googled it and it has a maximum of 440 seats and a Wingspan of 60.3 m. The AirBerlin plane was a Boeing 737-700 as far as I could see it and for comparison it has a wingspan of 35.7 m and 126–149 maximum seats. That was really impressive.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-01-14/hoppsi_08.jpg
Yeah, I know that's not many pictures but it was cool to watch those planes really. :) Altough I got a bit homesick :( I miss you...

Hey mum!
I know, I haven't really kept you up to date on what I'm doing, but it is sooooooo freeze here at the moment so we go our RARELY. It's going to like -13 ° degrees at the weekend (at nights)... brrrrr.
Well, but, last week Liz took us to Düsseldorf again. She had a day off from school and so we went to the Altstadt for a little walk at the Rhine. It was very sunny, but also very cold. Thank god I had my scarf and my cap. :)
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0001.jpg
We took the tram to the Heinrich-Heine-Allee, which is really in the center of the "längste Theke der Welt". The station is probably one of the most important stations in the city of Düsseldorf (apart from the main station), because you can get to almost everywhere from there. Although the "Altstadt" is the second smallest area in Düsseldorf, it's known at the "longest bar in the world" as in the there are more than 300 bars and discos.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0060.jpg
You see? There's just one restaurant next to a bar right next to another bar and so on. I think it's pretty funny, because coming from the tram station the first thing I saw was this church ^^
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0003.jpg
This is the Neanderkirche. It's an Evangelical church. It opened in 1684. It's an early-baroque  aisleless church. Liz told me a bit about the building characteristics of Baroque . She learned it in school. I don't know if the stuff she told me is correct, but what she said sounded good. Hehe.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/kirche.jpg
Here's a picture of the church without me, so I can show you how to notice if it's baroque  or not :)
There are mostly concavo-convex shapes, as you can see on the dome. It has like these curved shapes which makes it look more dynamic. Well, it's not a decorated as it was usual in Baroque, because Protestant churches weren't allowed to be very decorated. Something history-related. I don't know ^^
We'll be visiting the Schloss Benrath probably, this is really baroque, so I can show you more :)

Okay, so we passed the longest bar of the world and got to the market place with this statue.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0009.jpg
It's an Equestrian statue of Jan Wellem. Who's Jan Wellem you might ask... Well, I also asked myself who that is and so we googled him, when we got home.
His full name was Johann Wilhelm Joseph Janaz von der Pfalz and he was born in Düsseldorf in April 1658. In 1690 he became electoral prince. He promoted art and culture and founded the Düsseldorfer art gallery with paintings of Rubens. Today the pieces of the gallery are mostly in the Alten Pinakothek in Munich.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0013.jpg
In the background it the old townhall of Düsseldorf. It's building style is renaissance and it was built between 1570 and 1573. It looks similar to the extension building of the Düsseldorfer castle, of which only the castle tower is left today. (We'll get there ;) )
Today the townhall is composed of 5 parts, which were build bit by bit.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0023.jpg
Okay, going on. We found this on the way to the Rhine. It says "Haus des Karnevals". Düsseldorf is pretty famous for it's carnival - apart from Cologne. Modern carnival there began in 1823 with the founding of a Carnival Club in Cologne. The highlight of the carnival period is Rose Monday (Rosenmontag). There are huge processions through the cities. In Düsseldorf for example they have 72 wagons this years and people travel to the city just to see this - mostly between 800,000 and 1,000,000 people!! It's broadcasted on TV also. I think on ARD.

http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0036.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0037.jpg
Well, we finally got to the Rhine. Look how beautiful it looks! I mean, it was really really windy and really cold but the Rhine looked pretty cool (you can't really see how dirty the Rhine usually is, can you? ;)  )
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0038.jpg
The Rhine is one of the longest and the most important rivers in Europe. It's about 1,233 km long, it has it's source in Grisons in the eastern Swiss Alps and issues into the North Sea coast in the Netherlands.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0041.jpg
Do you recognize something from the last trip to the Düsseldorf city? The TV tower for example? :) And if you have a closer look, you can also see the Gehry buildings. :)
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0042.jpg
In the background of this picture you can see the Schlossturm. :)

Well, we spent some moments there and just enjoyed the sun. There were many people actually, I guess most of them spend their lunch break there. I'd do it :) Sadly Liz's work is too far away from the Rhine (it's more closly to the Anger, but it's pretty small ^^). :(

http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-03/DSC_0052.jpg
Okay, so here's the Schlossturm I already told you about :) It's a maritime museum today (one of the oldest in Germany) and the landmark of Düsseldorf. As I already mentioned, it's the only part of the Düsseldorf castle that is left. After being just a little castle outside the city close to the Düssel (of which the city got it's name by the way :) ) it was rebuild in 1550. In the 17th and 18th century the interior was rebuilt in a baroque style. 1749 French troops bombed and destroyed a big part of the castle. It was rebuilt in Prussian time, but there was a fire in 1872 and by the end of the century it was pulled down. Only the tower was left. Because of a Royal order.

I wonder what the castle looked like or would look like today...
I thought about that all the way back home, but I can't really figure it out. It probably would look a lot like the tower from the outside. But what you the inside look like? Hm. What do you think, mum?

We got home after that stop. We were all pretty tired actually and there was some house work to do.

I miss you mum! But I'm having a great time here! :)

Hey mum!
Sorry for not updating much lately, it was a pretty busy week and the weather sucked so we didn't really get to go anywhere...
But today the weather was awesome! Still a little cold, but pretty sunny, so Liz decided to take us all to the Landschaftspark Nord in Duisburg. As she lives in Duisburg, she thought it's time to show us something of the city and not of Düsseldorf.
Duisburg is actually not that far from Düsseldorf. It's in the western part of the Ruhr area and also located in the Lowland Rhine area. The city has a total area of 232.82 km2, which makes it bigger than Düsseldorf (217km2), but with "just" 489,599 inhabitans (Düsseldorf's got 588,735).

Okay, so we went to the Landschaftspark Nord today. It's a public park that can be visited during the whole year. It was designed in 1991 with the intention that it work to heal and understand the industrial past, rather than trying to reject it. The park closely associates itself with the past use of the site: a coal and steel production plant (abandoned in 1985, leaving the area significantly polluted) and the agricultural land it had been prior to the mid 19th century.
The park is devided into different areas, whose borders were carefully developed by looking at existing conditions (such as how the site had been divided by existing roads and railways, what types of plants had begun to grow in each area, etc). The site was designed with the idea that a grandfather, who might have worked at the plant, could walk with his grandchildren, explaining what he used to do and what the machinery had been used for. At the Landschaftspark, memory was central to the design.

We first went to the Blast Furnace 5, which is the only blast furnace left in the park, that is accessible for everyone.

I'll just show you the pictures and if there was a board with further information, you'll read them. ;)

Awesome, view, huh? This is on platform 4, which has a height of around 51 m.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-19/hoppsi_09.jpg
This is at the so called "Windenhaus" (winch house), where the electric winch of the inclined elevator moved the skip with ore, chalk or coke to the charging hopper of the blast furnace .
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-19/hoppsi_10.jpg
This is the charging floor. From this place the blast furnance was charged with material.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-19/hoppsi_11.jpg http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-19/hoppsi_12.jpg
This is the view from almost the top. There was one more platform, but there were some other people taking pictures already so we didn't get up there. But where we were was fine. It must have been about 70 meters high.
It was pretty cold up there as it was very windy. But it was awesome how far you are able to see from up there. On the website they say on a sunny day you can also see the TV tower in Düsseldorf. Amazing, isn't it??

We just walked through the park a little more, but most of the buildings look pretty much the same. ^^

But I enjoyed this trip a lot - seeing something different was very interesting.

I miss you mum...

Bye bye

Hey mum!
It's carnival time at the moment and today is the so called "Rosenmontag" (rose monday). It's the day, when there are all the Rosenmontagszüge in the different cities. It's probably the main day in the "fifth season".
I already told you a bit about carnival when we saw the "Haus des Karneval" in Düsseldorf, but here are some interesting facts about "Rosenmontag". :) Rose Monday is the monday before Ash Wednesday - the beginning of the Lent. Rose Monday is celebrated in the German-speaking countries, such as Germany of course, Austria, Switzerland and so on, but most heavily in the "Hochburgen" (carnival strongholds), which include the Rhineland, especially in Cologne, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Aachen and Mainz. In contrast to Germany, in Austria, the highlight of the carneval is not Rosenmontag, but Faschingsdienstag (Shrove Tuesday).
Although it might sound like it, Carnival is not a national holiday in Germany, but in most cities stores and companies are closed on Rose Monday (At least from 12 or 1 pm on), schools are closed on Rosenmontag, too, and many schools and companys also celebrate Weiberfastnacht (Thursday before Rose Monday).

So we went to the Rosenmontagszug in Duisburg, which started at 1:11 pm. It was pretty full (we were at the main station in Duisburg, which is also close to the city) and so there's just this one picture with me, on which you can maybe see the crowd in the background.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-20/hoppsi.jpg

The rest will be without me, cause either me or the people would have been out of focus...
Hope you enjoy the pictures nevertheless. :) Some of them had some really strange or funny or interesting costumes :)

I wonder if this teddy is a ToyVoyager, too... He asked him, but I guess he didn't hear me...

Hey mum!
As it was my last evening in Duisburg and as my host had a day off because of carnival, we cooked a little. And I was allowed to help :) We made potato gratin.
We needed 1 kg potatos and had to shell them.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-20/kochen_01.jpg
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-20/kochen_02.jpg
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-20/kochen_03.jpg
Okay, we didn't to everything completely on our own, but used some Maggi stuff... ^^
But here am I shelling again... or still... who knows?
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-20/kochen_03.jpg
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-20/kochen_04.jpg
Then we had to slice the potatos.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-20/kochen_05.jpg
Meanwhile Lizas boyfriend prepared the sauce, so I don't have pictures of that.
But after 30 minutes in the oven, it was all finished and smelling great.
http://kreativerkeks.site90.net/TV/Tradelogs/2012-02-20/kochen_06.jpg
And it tasted as well as it looked :)
So I had my final meal with all my friends here...

Hey Mum,

Today we made a nice trip to an old abbey from the Benedictine

order in Lamspringe. But first we´ve must taken a walk through the

forest, because Mr. Shaun´s sheepdog Paul we take care of at the

moment, has to calm down a little bit ;). So we hiked to a very very

old tree, tried to climb on it while hostmom Andrea took nice

pictures from us.

By sunshine we reached the monastery garden with many

attractions: a smal millpond with ducks, an old watermill, strange

sculptures and funny bushes with red branches. The sun was

wonderfull warm and we had a lot of fun there :)

Hello Mum ,

a trip to Fritzlar with hostmum and Happy Ping
Fritzlar is a small German town (pop. 15,000) in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse, 160 km (99 mi) north of Frankfurt, with a storied history. It can reasonably be argued that the town is the site where the Christianization of northern Germany (north and east of the Roman Limes) began and the birthplace of the German empire as a political entity

here you see the old church...very old

The St. Peter's Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Romanesque-Gothic churches in Hesse.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7063/6817758528_37ed9c7e74_z.jpg

The Cathedral of Fritzlar measures 43 meters (from the basement to the top). He continues to shape the cityscape of the small town in the Schwalm-Eder-Kreis (formerly Circle Fritzlar-Homberg).

built and rebuilt several times, combines the Cathedral of St. Peter Roman and Gothic styles. In the oldest part of the Fritzlarer Domes are the crypts, which can also be viewed as the Cathedral, ..but not in the moment

look Mum a nice view in the Edertal...

This is the Monk Boniface he felled the oak, without being met, the expected wrath of the locals Donars and built from the wood a church that was dedicated to St. Peter. This event is considered the beginning of Christianity, not only in this area of the present diocese of Fulda.

The Town Hall in Fritzlar originated in Roman times (also called "bailiwick") and was first mentioned in documents in 1109

Hello from Berlin!!

As I arrived here, at the home of my host Marie, I was a bit afraid. I stood alone in the corridor and it seemed like no one was there... But then I heard a quiet voice and saw another tv: Mandy Sheep. She was very friendly and helped me with my luggage :). Together we went to the living room.
As Marie came home she showed me some things in her flat such as beautiful flowers, a drum set and her two cute guinea pigs. Their names are QuamQuam (brown) and Klea (black). I like them very much :D. I also saw a little green figure with a friendly smile, looks funny :). Marie was very happy about the sweets I brought with me and she wanted me to say 'Thank you' to you, Dr.Kröbner. I shared the sweets with her and Mandy Sheep.
Yes, I think I'll like it here ;)

Heyho Mum,
Aurelius and I baked cupcakes today :D. My job was to crack an egg. As you can see I did it very well ;). Then I helped to put the little baking pans on the baking sheet. They can also be cool hats :p.
Finally I could fill the dough into the baking pans and then we had to wait 25 minutes. During this time Aurelius and I ate the dough which remained in the bowl and washed the dishes.
When the cupcakes were ready I felt like something was missing... and I was right! We nearly forgot the cream which turns a muffin into a cupcake :).
THE CUPCAKES ARE READY :cyclops:
I wish you could try one Mum. They are yummy.

HAPPY EASTER FOR EVERYBODY

I spent a wonderful day in Biesenthal at the home of Marie's uncle and aunt. We painted eggs there. Look at mine, it's the best.
Then we explored the forest which was only five minutes away and played "Eiertrudeln": We rolled eggs wrapped with aluminium foil down a versant. The winner was the one whose egg rolled farthest. This was so much fun :D. Unfourtunately neither Aurelius nor I won. The winner was Marie's sister. But we all got a prize: We could eat the eggs :).
In the evening we went back to Berlin by S-Bahn. Aurelius and I had our own seat. It was badly needed because we were very tired.
Good night Mummy

Yippie, today my relative the Easter bunny came to hide some presents, I was so excited :cyclops:.
We searched in Marie's flat because it was very cold outside and she was a bit ill. We looked into all corners of the living room but we found nothing :o. After a few minutes we found some sweets, what luck! As I looked up I even spotted a plush toy. It was hidden between the books on the bookshelf. I found it very cute :).
At the end of our search the "spoils" looked very impressive. I'm already looking forward to the next Easter.

Hello again,
today I tested an Easter present: a little set to make bouncy balls. I never did something like that before and so I found it very interesting. First I had to open the little envelopes with the powder for the balls inside. Then I put all colours I wanted into the bouncy ball form. When the form was full, I placed it into water for a short time. Then I waited three minutes and the bouncy ball was ready. Looks nice, doesn't it? It bounces very well but Marie said in two or three days it will become so hard that you could use it as a weapon ;).

Hey Mum!
Today is Friday, the thirteenth. Just a day like any other one I thought - I was SO wrong, I rather would have stayed in bed :(.
When I woke up and went to the bathroom, a black cat crossed my path (Where did it come from??). I know that it brings bad luck, especially on a day like this. And I was right, a few minutes later I slipped on a banana peal (didn't know where this came from, too...), ouch .
Later I wanted to eat an egg with salt, of course. But I knocked the saltshaker over. The table cloth became dirty and the saltshaker was empty, WHAT A DAY :stare:.
I hope your day was better as mine, Mummy

Hello,
I just came back from the Ritter Sport Shop. You know Ritter Sport? It's a company which produces chocolate. And this shop was full of chocolate, YUM! Small chocolate bars, big chocolate bars and even giant chocolate bars (but the giant ones were just decoration I think...).
Of course we bought some chocolate but I also learned something about it: Did you know that you need cocoa beans to produce chocolate and that they come from Africa? Interesting, isn't it? Later on I watched a film about the production. At the end there was a funny information: The television tower is 30.666 chocolate bars high :).

Hi Mummy,
today Marie took us to many famous sights of Berlin :). We started our tour at "Alexanderplatz". It is a central place and traffic junction in Berlin. There we had a look at the world clock, a clock showing times around the world.
We went on to see the television tower. With it's 368 meters it looks very impressive. Right next to it was the "Marienkirche", one of the oldest chirches in Berlin. From there we had to go only a few meters to see the "Neptunbrunnen". Isn't it beautiful? I even saw a wedding party there, how wonderful :D.
We also saw the "Berliner Dom". It's also a chirch but it is much bigger than the "Marienkirche".
Later we had a break and enjoyed the view at the "Spree".
The last sight we saw was the "Brandenburger Tor". It looks sooo nice and marks the border between east- and west Berlin.
So that was my day. I made a wonderful sight seeing tour and know much more about Berlin now.
Many greetings Mummy, I miss you <3

Heyho,
today the weather was so nice that Marie decided to go on the balcony to sow some seeds. Aurelius and I helped her, of course. I sowed cress seeds, can you see them?
After sowing I covered the seeds with flower soil and then I watered them. Now they have all they need to become nice and healthy plants  :D.
Puh, planting things is really exhausting! As I relaxed I had a look at some beautiful flowers and enjoyed the view from the balcony :).

Hello Mum,
this evening Marie, her family and I went to the Estrel Hotel to see the show "Stars is Concert"!! We arrived there a bit too early but so we had time to explore the area around the hotel. And it was really beautiful, as you can see.
"Stars in Concert" is a show where very good doubles of famous singers perform songs of them. Unfourtunately it was not allowed to take photos during the show :( but Marie took some of the stage and the wonderful costumes before it started :).
The show was great! :D I saw Marilyn Monroe, Joe Cocker, Elvis Presley, Bette Midler, Louis Armstrong and Freddie Mercury live on stage ;). When the show ended I was very tired but also very happy about this nice evening.
Mummy, when I come back home to you we have to visit a concert together!

Happy first May! ;)

Aurelius and I made a little May walk: We went to the Müggelsee. We saw a playground in the forest around the lake. It looked nice and of course we played a bit and had much fun :). Near the playground there was a sign which showed us how precious nature is. The text means: "One tree can be used to produce one million matches. One match is enough to destroy one million trees." It's worth to think about this....
Anyway, before we went to the lake we discovered a bit more of the forest. It was really beautiful and so green :).
Most of the time Marie carried Aurelius and me in her bag from where we could see a lot. But then we wanted to move ourselves and climbed a tree. Can you see me there, Mummy?
Finally we reached the Müggelsee and relaxed on the shore.
You see, I had a wonderful first May day and I hope you had one, too.

today Marie took me to a little funfair in Biesdorf. As the name already says, it was much fun! At first I rided the rollercoaster. WHOOHOO!!! :D
Then I tried to get a plush dice out of a toy automat but it went wrong .
The funfair was at the palace grounds of Biesdorf. And to a palace grounds belongs a palace, the "Schloss Biesdorf". I think it looks wonderful. The palace grounds also looked lovely. There even was a fountain. :)
All this made me very hungry. What luck to have a nice host who shares her garlic baguette with me, YUM YUM.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3802600x450.jpg

Now that we were all together, we took a group picture.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3803600x450.jpg

After that Snowball took out a game called “rabbit and hedgehog”. Because we were two hedgehogs and one rabbit, she thought it could be fun to play it.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3921600x450.jpg

First we had to arrange the game

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3881450x600.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3879450x600.jpg

Knöpfchen was the one who started the game

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3882600x450.jpg

Then it was my turn. I gave 10 carrots to go 4 steps.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3885450x600.jpg

I am going back to the last hedgehog field. Because of this, I got 20 carrots.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3894600x450.jpg

On this field I had the chance to give away one of my salads. Now I have only one left.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3902450x600.jpg

Oh no, Lorca had won the game. I made only the fourth place.  :(

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3916600x450.jpg

It made a lot of fun, playing the game.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Hoppsi%20und%20Hase%20und%20Igel/DSCN3920600x450.jpg

It was a wonderful first day here, but now I am tired.

Hello Mum!

Today we went to friends from my host parents. They also joint Toyvoyagers and we wanted to meet their TVs and watch the Eurovision Song contest together.
We meet Imodra Dragon, her tree kids Ranja, Spikey and Little, Cosy and Zeitgeist.
Here you could see a group picture from us all together.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Grand%20Prix%202012/DSCN3822450x600.jpg

Before the Song Contest started, we made some flags for all the countries that were participating in the contest.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Grand%20Prix%202012/DSCN3840600x450.jpg

Freddi, Little and I shared a hot dog while we watched TV

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Grand%20Prix%202012/img600x450.jpg

We made our own ranking for the countries. At the moment I think the Swedish candidate was the best.

Hi Mum!

Today was very exciting, because we went to the Movie Park in Bottrop. It is a very cool amusement park.
Here I am in front of the entrance.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN3927600x450.jpg

On this trampoline you can jump very high and you could make a flip. It was very funny.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN3955600x450.jpg

Everywhere on the streets we saw cool cars. Some of them were really old and others looked like they came right out of an action movie.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN3986600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN3987600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN4004600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN4005600x450.jpg

We took the chance and watched an action show called “Shadows of darkness”. We saw Van Helsing and some scary looking werewolves there.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN3943600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN3945600x450.jpg

“Time Riders” was cool, it is a flight simulator

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN3992600x450.jpg

It was so hot today, that we made a short break and bought a slush. It was really tasty.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN3981600x450.jpg

After that I wanted to go on the “Transformer”, but when I looked at it, I was too scared to ride on it.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN4008600x450.jpg

I think the “Avatar Air glider” was the best carrousel here. You could lay there and relax while you fly around

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN4055600x450.jpg

This shark is so huge and I think it looks really scary.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN4047450x600.jpg

Before we went home, we watched another Show called “Back to the movies”. At this show they played a lot of cool film themes and danced to them.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Moviepark/DSCN4035600x450.jpg

It was a great day. And Shilo told us, that when the weather is good, we will visit the “Heidepark” in Soltau in two weeks. I hope we could get there.

See you soon

Good morning Mum!

Today was a great day because Shilo took us to Cologne to visit the Chocolate Museum. And inside the museum is a chocolate factory.

Right after the entrance I found some old shapes for chocolate rabbits

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4065450x600.jpg

This cutting knife is used to check the quality of cocoa beans

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4083600x450.jpg

Then we went into the section with the chocolate factory.
This machine is called Cocoa mill.  The pre-crushed cocoa kernels were milled and trough the frictional heat the cocoa butter melts and the cocoa mass leaves the mill in a liquid state.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4110600x450.jpg

This is a giant mixer. Chocolate essentially consists of cocoa paste, cocoa butter, sugar, milk or cream powder, and flavourings such as vanilla. All components were filled into the mixer and thoroughly blended.  After that the paste was lead to the rolling mill.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4149600x450.jpg

The luke-warm chocolate paste is passed into the preheated moulds. The moulds then pass over a vibrating table so that the chocolate paste is evently distributed and any air bubbles can escape.
After this the machine wraps the chocolate into paper. This chocolate was given as a gift for every visitor at the entrance.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4114600x450.jpg

This is a giant chocolate fountain. It looks so yummy and I hope I can taste a little bit of this chocolate.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4140600x450.jpg

Oh great, host dad was so nice and shared his chocolate with me

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4156600x450.jpg

Oh look I found some more shades for chocolate rabbits and paper to wrap Lindt rabbits

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4161450x600.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4173600x450.jpg

The best thing in the factory beside the chocolate fountain is that you could design your own chocolate. You could choose which kind of chocolate you want and up to 4 ingredients which came into it. We choose white chocolate with cranberries, almond and crisps.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4186450x600.jpg

Here we could see how the self-designed chocolate was made.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4200600x450.jpg

After that we needed a little break

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4259600x450.jpg

Mum did you know, that Years ago you couldn’t buy chocolate in supermarkets? You had to buy it in drugstores or get it out of cool looking machines

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4214600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4215600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4277600x450.jpg

Wow a giant Lindt rabbit

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4235450x600.jpg

Here I found more Lindt rabbits

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4240600x450.jpg

On our way back to the factory we saw some old commercials

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4278450x600.jpg

Great we got our self-made chocolate. It looks really yummy.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Chocomuseum/DSCN4302600x450.jpg

It was a wonderful day. We had so much fun and we learned a lot about the history of chocolate and how it was made.

Love you Mum

Hey Mum.

Today we bought a lot of strawberries for us. It was a giant bowl.

Hmm they smelled very good

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Erdbeeren/DSCN4400600x450.jpg

And they tasted even better :)

Hey Mum,

I am very happy, because today we went to Soltau to visit the Heidepark.
When we stood up in the morning we weren’t sure if the weather would be good, but we were so excited that we started our journey anyway.

After three hours in the car we are finally at the entrance of the park. I am so happy that we are here now and the weather looks good.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4393600x450.jpg

Behind me you could see the roller coaster Big Loop. First I was a little bit scared because of the two loops, but then I had a lot of fun riding on it.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4311600x450.jpg

After the ride we went on the Panorama tower. From so high above we had a great view over the whole park.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4342600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4343600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4352600x450.jpg

This roller coaster is called Colossos. It is the biggest wood coaster in the world. Host dad wanted to have a ride on it, but we were too scared of the height.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4331600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4330600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4332600x450.jpg

Then we went into the haunted house called Krake lebt. First we went under water with a submarine and under water there were a lot of scary sea monsters.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4382600x450.jpg

We took a little break on this cool stone turtles in front of the Krake Roller coaster. While we sat here and enjoyed the sun, we were visited by a goose and here kids.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4356450x600.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4365600x450.jpg

This free-fall tower is called scream. Host dad went on it, but for me it was too high. I went on this free-fall tower called screamie. It is the small brother of scream.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4367450x600.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4376450x600.jpg

Riding this water slide made a lot of fun.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Heidepark/DSCN4388600x450.jpg

Now the park is closing and we were driving home. The day was really great, I love amusement parks.

Good Morning Mum.

Today Shilo told us, that Lorca will travel on to her next host the next days. Because of that Snowball had the idea to have a Tea party before she leaves. We planned to make a cake for the party.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Backen%20und%20Abschied%20Lorca/DSCN4414600x450.jpg

Before we started to bake the cake, we played around with the scale.

Today Lorca was leaving Bochum to travel to her next host in Remscheid. I hope she will have a short and safe trip.
Before she left, we hugged her. I will miss her very much, but I hope we will meet again one day.

Hello Mum.

Today we visited the friends from our host parents and their TV’s again. We played the game “um Reifen breite” together. I was in a team with Knöpfchen. We were a really good team and made the second place.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Spieleabend%20und%20buch/DSCN4494450x600.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Spieleabend%20und%20buch/DSCN4484600x450.jpg

After that we watched a soccer game. Because it made so much fun, we wanted to play soccer too. We looked everywhere around but found no ball, so we asked Knöpfchen if he wanted to be our ball. But before we started, we changed our mind and helped Knöpfchen to stand up.

Then Finchen came with a very interesting looking book. The book was called “Star von Bunny”. It is the story of a plush bunny who wanted to be a model. It is a really great book.

Hi Mum.

Today the weather was really bad. But we don’t wanted to sit at home the whole day, so we decided to go to the Museum of Natural Science in Dortmund. It is a small museum, but it made a lot of fun to look at all the different samples. We saw a lot of animals from all around the world, a lot of cool stones and skeletons from dinosaurs.

Hello Mum.

Today a new TV arrived here in Bochum. Her name is Hase and she is going to America with Shilo. We welcomed her warmly here.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Ankunft%20Hase/DSCN4754600x450.jpg

After that she showed us the things she brought with. Snowball was very happy about the postcard and we all shared the sweets.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Ankunft%20Hase/DSCN4750600x450.jpg

Than we sat down onto the sofa. Milk Chocolate told us, that one of her life missions is to watch the movie “101 Dalmatian”. Because of that we had the idea to watch the movie.

Snowball took out some popcorn for us. It was yummy and the film was great. But I don’t like Cruella De Vil, she was too scary.

Good evening Mum.

Today is the “Extraschicht – the night of the Industiekultur”. We were really happy to go there and decided to make the Duisburg route.
We started our tour in the Duisburger inner harbor. Here were a lot of people who were listening to the music from the live bands, or who just wanted to relax and eat something.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Extraschicht%202012/DSCN4584600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Extraschicht%202012/DSCN4611600x450.jpg

Look mum; I want to go all around the world. :)

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Extraschicht%202012/DSCN4605600x450.jpg

From the harbor we went on to the Landscape Park. There we could listen to music and when it’s getting dark, there will be a giant fire work. While we were waiting for the firework, we were looking around the park.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Extraschicht%202012/DSCN4626600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Extraschicht%202012/DSCN4689600x450.jpg

On this stage stands we saw the winner from the last “X-factor” season here in Germany. He made really cool music.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Extraschicht%202012/DSCN4719600x450.jpg

After that we went on to Oberhausen to the theatre at the Niebuhrg. There we could see a lot of artworks and a fire show. The show was ok, but the best thing this evening was the firework on the landscape park.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Extraschicht%202012/DSCN4736600x450.jpg

When we came back home, it was 3 o’clock in the morning and we all were really tired.

So good night Mum

Hello Mum.

Because this is the last day here in Bochum for Milk Chocolate and me, we planned to go Bowling.
It wasn’t easy to play with such a big ball, but it made a lot of fun.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Bowling%20und%20Spieleabend/DSCN4772600x450.jpg

I needed this console to register our names

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Bowling%20und%20Spieleabend/DSCN4795450x600.jpg

Before we started to play, I cleaned the ball with a towel

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Bowling%20und%20Spieleabend/DSCN4801600x450.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Bowling%20und%20Spieleabend/DSCN4800600x450.jpg

The ball is just a little bit bigger than I am and heavier, but I am strong. :)

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Bowling%20und%20Spieleabend/DSCN4818450x600.jpg

Phew, now I need a little break and something to drink

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Bowling%20und%20Spieleabend/DSCN4774600x450.jpg

This small ball is filled with talc powder.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Bowling%20und%20Spieleabend/DSCN4813600x450.jpg

It was really funny to play bowling.
After the game we went to the friends from Shilo to play some games together and to say goodbye to their TVs.

Hello Mum.

Today was a happy, but also a sad day. The happy thing was that a new TV arrived here for the America trip. We were really curious who would be inside, when we opened the envelope. Inside the envelope was a tiny bear called Sterni. We welcomed him warmly here in Bochum.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Ankunft%20Sterni%20%20Abschied%20Hoppsi%20und%20Milk%20Chocolate/DSCN4916600x450.jpg

After the welcome, he showed us the sweets he brought with him.

Then we took a last group picture together, before Milk Chocolate and I had to leave. We were both traveling on to our next hosts

I had to pack my bag, before I could leave. I hope I forgot nothing.

Hey,

Today Karin, her family and I made a cool trip to Vienna.
Vienna is 60 km away from Karins homecity.

We made a sightseeing tour in a tram. That tour called Vienna Ring Tram.

It was a really informative tour with an audio guide.

Hello Mum.

Today I finally arrived in Bochum. I am so happy to be here again and to meet my friends again. When host mum brought my packet into the living room I could hear the voices of the other TVs.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Ankunft%20Hoppsi%20und%20Abschied%20Cookie%20Monster/DSCN9916600x450_zps9536dfd1.jpg

I wanted to see the others so I opened the package and looked around. I could see my friend Snowball and some other TVs that I meet the first time. There were Purple Tentacle, Peppi Pooh, Gwen Jolie, TezTez and Cassiopeia. I jumped out of the packet to speak with the others.

Before he left we all hugged him and wished him a safe and short trip.

Hello Mum.

Tomorrow we will finally fly to Las Vegas. Today we were helping our host parents to pack the bags for our trip. Everything fits into the bags, but luckily we don’t fly inside the bags.

When everything was ready we sat around the netbook and looked at some pictures Snowball had made in Las Vegas during their trip in summer last year.

Good morning Mum.

Today we were finally flying to Las Vegas. Very early in the morning we flew from Düsseldorf to London. This was a short fly from just an hour, but in London we had to change the terminal. We took a bus from terminal 1 to terminal 5.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Flug%20Las%20Vegas/DSCN9997600x450_zpsbcff24cd.jpg

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Flug%20Las%20Vegas/DSCN0013600x450_zpsb4ea99e3.jpg

When we arrived at terminal 5 we had two hours to wait till our next flight to New York started. We used the time to look around the terminal.

Our flight to New York took nine hours. During the flight I watched out of the window and looked at the landscape under us.

When we arrived at New York we saw this cool apple at the airport.

We haven’t got much time at the New York airport, because we had to check out and in completely to get to our next plane. It was a little bit stressful but we made it in time.

The flight to Las Vegas took another six hours.
Yeah mum, we finally arrived at Las Vegas, after our 21 hour trip. I am very happy that we are here but I am too tired to enjoy it. But I think after a lot of sleep I could enjoy it.

Good morning mum.

I sent you Greetings from the sunny Las Vegas. Behind me you can see the “New York New York” hotel. I think it looks really cool.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/tag%201%20las%20vegas/DSCN0210600x450_zps658adfc8.jpg

Today we were visiting the MOB attraction. It is an exhibition about the mafia in Las Vegas, inside the Tropicana hotel. We learned a lot of interesting things about the old mafia and saw cool stuff that belongs to that time. But the best thing was that we met some “real” mafia gangsters who gave us missions that we had to fulfill.

Hey Mum.

After our breakfast we were going to the Bellagio hotel to have a look at the botanical garden, which is specially decorated for the Chinese New Year, which is celebrated everywhere here in Vegas.
At the entrance of the garden we were welcomed by a giant snake which is 9 feet tall and is constructed of 5,000 handmade silk scales. In the Chinese Zodiac 2013 is the Year of the Snake. Individuals born in the Year of the Snake are known to be keen, cunning, intelligent and wise. If you happen to be a Snake, you could look forward to a year of good fortune.

http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w503/Jasmin_Ogermann/Tag%202%20Las%20Vegas/DSCN0297450x600_zps3debf502.jpg

I like this Chinese Money Tree. It is a symbol to bring good fortune to the Chinese while still living and in the after-life used to guide spirits to heaven and provide wealth while there. The meaning handed down from ancient Chinese legend is that a person shall grow wealthy through hard work and relying on ones own sweat and blood.

This Chinese Calligraphy is called “Fu” which carries the meaning of Blessing, Happiness and Good Fortune.

Hello Mum.

Today we visited Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat inside the Mirage hotel. The dolphins were really cool and we could watch how they were fed.

From the dolphin habitat we entered the secret garden. I have never seen white tigers and lions before, that was really special. But it was a little bit sad that they have such small compounds.

We were all working together and at the end we made a really yummy looking cake.

Hello Mum.

Today another TV arrived here at Bochum. Angel was very excited to see who will be inside because it was the first time that he saw the envelope with a TV inside.

When it opened a little sheep came out called Tsukumo. She is joining the Big German RR just like Angel.

We all hugged her to welcome her here in Bochum.

Because we were so many TVs here at the moment and some of us will travel on the next days we had the idea to take a group picture together.

The weather was better than the last days so we planned to take a walk outside. We visited a small park near our home.

Happy Easter Mum.

Today the weather was so nice that we went outside to search some spring flowers and with some luck the Easter bunny ;)
Look I really found some flowers and some Easter eggs.

While we were walking around we saw a small playground. We took the chance and played a bit.

When we got back home, we noticed that the Easter bunny was here and that he was hiding some Easter eggs into the living room. We were really good in searching and at the end we had found a lot of eggs.
