Hi there!
My name is Paul. As you can see, I'm a giraffe. I was just hanging around as a prize at a funfair stall when four friends came along and won me!!! Two of them happened to be hosting TV Travel. He told me about his journey and the idea of toyvoyaging sounded great. So I said I wanted to go on a journey, too. And here I am :-) |
curious77 Posted Nov 17, 2011, 3:06 pm |
I'm so excited! My parents just told me I'm going to Germany!! Curious77 said she wanted to knit a scarf for me so I don't catch a cold on my journey. But I think she won't be able to finish it before my departure...knitting a scarf for a giraffe is really a challenge! Anyway, my farewell party was really cool! I'm looking forward to meet my host! |

Hello!
My parcel arrived today in England. I was greeted by several other toyvoyagers also on an adventure. There was Nanu, Big Glubschi, Rendolph and Horscht. I brought along some snacks for the trip, but I couldn't get the bag open by myself! Guess what? You thought I was tall? Horscht is taller than me! More updates soon, Paul |

When we woke up it had snowed which meant one thing! Time to go out and play!
I tried to make a snow giraffe but it didn't work out very well. I still had fun! Next I helped make a snowman with the other toyvoyagers. This is my new friend Nanu trying to make a snowball to throw at me! Little does he know that giraffes can run fast if they need to! Talk to you soon, Paul |

Hello!
Today we went into London to see St. Paul's Cathedral. Unfortunately there was a security issue on the tubes so they were not running in that direction. Instead we decided to walk around and see what there was to see. First, my host wants to include a picture we took the other day at a mall in Essex. Can you see me? Ok, on with the London pictures! We will rock you show with a giant Freddy Mercury out front. The usual phone booth picture. My host managed to find a side that didn't have "creepy" advertisements posted on it. Soho Square where there are several different statues outside. Next we wandered over to Trafalgar Square. On the way we saw more artsy things including a pretty egg! St. Martin In-The-Fields church. George Washington Love, Paul |

Hello!
Today we went for a walk around Northaw, a nearby village. Did you know Northaw is Hertfordshire's best kept village? I didn't either, but apparently they are VERY proud of it. This is the St. Thomas A Becket Parish Church. "St Thomas a Becket Church, formerly known as St Thomas of Canterbury, was the third church built on the site in 1882. (The church before, dedicated in 1810, was completely destroyed by fire in 1881.)" St. Thomas Whew, slightly thirsty after the walk around the church grounds, I wonder we can get a drink from this pipe? |

Hi! Its been pretty quiet around here lately as my host has not been feeling that great. Two new toyvoyagers arrived this week seeking adventure!
The first to arrive was Foxi. I gave Foxi a ride around the living room! A few days later a tiny koala named Aidan arrived. Until next time, Paul |
Xadrian xadriankruez@hotmail.com Posted Mar 27, 2012, 5:10 pm |
Today another toyvoyager arrived, his name is Ceryni.
What a tiny turtle huh? |

Hello!
Today we went back into London and this time we went to China town. Look at all the ducks and squid hanging in the window. I personally prefer a nice bundle of leaves, but oh well. Next we hopped on the tube as they call it and went to see a huge clock tower called "Big Ben". Right next to Big Ben was the Houses of Parliment. Oliver Cromwell. (Some information on Mr. Cromwell.) This town has lots to see! Literally across the street was Westminster Abby where they hold lots of Royal marriages and such. One last stop... the London Eye. What a tiring day. Love, Paul |

Yellow flowers, like me! It smells so good! |
dawoni Posted May 7, 2012, 9:32 pm |
I enjoyed this weekend in Ticino. It's the sunniest part of Switzerland. ...but like always, there was a traffic jam in front of the Gotthard tunnel. ...so we had to wait!
Oh yes, we finally reached the tunnel! |
dawoni Posted May 9, 2012, 9:07 pm |
We found a very special bridge. ...I must say, I was very frightened, but I made it to the other side. The bridge goes over the river Maggia. It was very nice!
Ohhh, that's so high!!! Then, I saw a funny sign. ...do they mean me?!? |
dawoni Posted May 13, 2012, 7:33 am |
So, this is my sweetest Travelog. I visited the Chocolate Museum in Caslano. Here, the Swiss Alprose makes chocolate. It smelt so sweet!
All over chocolate, what a dream! And of course, I tried the Swiss chocolate. Yummi! An old chocolate machine in the museum… A swiss cow in the garden… |
dawoni Posted May 13, 2012, 7:46 am |
Me and my new friends played outside and draw with chalk.
OK, I'm not a fantastic drawer, but I hope, you will recognize me! |
dawoni Posted May 15, 2012, 4:08 pm |
I watched the game FC Lucerne against Lausanne Sports at the new SwissporArena in Lucerne. My hosts did enjoy the game, because her favourite team won 3:2.
Of course, I also had a beer and a sausage.. |
dawoni Posted May 22, 2012, 9:35 pm |
We made a trip to Alpnach (Schlierenrüti). The Schlierenrüti is one of the alluvial zones of national importance. It's fantastic in summer, when kids can play in the river.
It's also very nice for bicycling. Look a Blower-Flower... ...relaxing on a "Stone-Island". ...oh, I'm so tired now... |
dawoni Posted May 31, 2012, 8:25 pm |
I visited my host parents. They live near the river called "Engelberger Aa". I enjoyed to jump on the stones.

dawoni Posted Jun 18, 2012, 8:02 am |
We made a trip to Felsenegg. It's the only cable car in the Canton of Zürich. Felsenegg is locatet at 800 meters over sea level with a stunning view over the city of Zürich, lake Zürich and the snowcapped Alps.
And then, I found this funny house with this crazy windows... |
dawoni Posted Jun 21, 2012, 7:52 am |
Hi Mum, I like to show you the wonderful city of Lucerne. It's really a very beautiful city. ...let's have a look:
That's a very new building. It's the new University of Lucerne. It opend last year. The railway station. The beautiful Lake Lucerne... ...with one of its famous steamer. The KKL (Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Luzern), with its big roof. The Wagenbach Fountain in front of the KKL. The world famous Chapel Bridge (Kappelbrücke). The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning diagonally across the Reuss River. As part of the bridge complex, the Chapel Bridge includes the octagonal 43 m tall Wasserturm, which literally translates to "water tower". The Kapellbrücke almost burned down on August 18, 1993, destroying two thirds of its interior paintings. Shortly thereafter, the Kapellbrücke was reconstructed and again opened to the public on April 14, 1994 for a total of $2.1 million dollars A very nice painted house. It's the Fritschgi-House or also the "Swiss House of carnival". It tells not only Fritschi's history, it also reflects the Lucerne Carnival. That was my city walk. I hope you enjoyed it. |
dawoni Posted Jun 21, 2012, 8:03 am |
We went to the Lake Sarnen (German: Sarnersee). It is a lake in the Canton of Obwalden, Switzerland. Its area is about 7.5 km² and its maximum depth is 51 m. It is about 6 km long and 1.3 km wide.
The motor boat "Seestern". It's very nice for making a tour. There was a big thunderstorm yesterday and now, the lake is very upset. Usually the water is clean and clear. |
dawoni Posted Jun 21, 2012, 1:38 pm |
We went to Wichelsee today. Wichelsee is a lake in Obwalden, Switzerland. Its surface area is 0.22 km². The reservoir is located in the municipalities of Alpnach and Sarnen. It formed after the Sarner Aa was damed in 1955. The area around the lake was protected in 2005.
SMILE! |
