Hey!
It's me, Remy! The cute litte rat from the Disney Pixar Movie "Ratatouille". My dream is to become a famous chef in a restaurant! I love nouvelle cuisine. At the moment I try to collect some special recipes. Maybe you can help me? I was a present for Alidas first day at school. Alida is the daughter from my Mum mellialida. |

Hello!
In the last week my hosts showed me some places in Amberg. I have seen many very very old churches and we took a walk in the forest of the "Maria-Hilf-Berg". It's very exiting here in Amberg. Take a look at the pictures |

Hi Momy
Yesterday we were in the arcades in Regensburg. There sparkled and shone the whole Christmas decoration. Look how beautifully decorated the Christmas trees. There is also a small house with comfortable armchairs and bautyful fireplace. There were also many shops where were only Christmas things like this Santa Claus on the picture. The best were the shining, big Bells on the roof. They were HUGE! Finally we had a delicious raspberry ice To get back to the house of my host, we had an hour ride by train. It was a wonderful, exciting trip with my hosts. Love Remy |

Hey Mom!
I'm a bit late with writing. I arrived very well on Wendsday. I watched out of my envelop and saw lots of toys. They were really nice to me. Everybody was happy when I arrived. They gave me a big group hug I gave the sweets to them and than we ate them. I met another TV. He's a hedgehog and his name is PieksiHH. He was nice, he helped me to come out. I could talk to him only for a few minutes. He had to go on to his next host. Later we watched some pictures on the computer. I saw lots of nice rat pictures. Bentje had lots of them a few years ago. I'm allowed to open the calendar every day. Dosn't it look nice? Yesterday we visited a shop called Lush. It was great there were so many scents! We bought a lot of things. Bentje told me that are Christmas presents. I like that bag. And this are the pickings Lots of hugs Yours Remy |

Hey Mom, it's me again!
I explored the apartment. Look what I've found in the kitchen. I read an article of the tricks how to eat crabs on the finnish way. Maybe we will cook some scandinavian recipe. I had a look into the fridge. I found some cheese. I hope I could taste it. Now I'm helping Bentje with the decoration. I climbed the little Christmastree. It's not finished yet. I had to decorate more things Bye Remy |

Hey Mom!
I'm really sorry that I just writing now. Bentje had a lot to work that week. But now it's weekend and she's got some free days. We watched some alpine ski race. It was very fast an interesting. We hope to get some snow here too. Bentje would like to to skiing. And maybe I could go with her. I hope so, it sonds good. I'm always allowed to light up the candle And of course I'm allowed to open the calender every day. There always nice sweets in it. I hope I won't look like Emile after this nice christmastime. I helped Bentje with her "Wichtel" present. We made a cat named Happy - I think - from the manga Fairy Tail. Tadaaa... we're ready. I thik it looks good. Was a lot of work. The needle stung us sometimes. Yesterday was the birthday of Bentjes boyfriend. I gave him this nice picture from New York. Later I brought the trash to the kitchen. I made some more pics with presents. Here's Hagrid from Harry Potter. He's a really nice toy. But the most fun I had with the Monsterbook of Monsters. Isn't it a nice pic? Don't worry, he won't ate me. Here you could see me with some selfmade cookies. Today we'll make some more. Hugs Remy |

I'm really sorry that I haven't time before. Bentje had to work so much. But we take some pics and now you'll see some more of my adventures. We drove to Stuttgart. Just started our trip. Here we're near Balingen and had to go on for 1 hour and 30 mins. Everyting went right, we arrived in Stuttgart. We found a parking place and went into the city. The weather wasn't really fine. Here we're on the Schlossplatz in front of the New castle. Some facts: The new castle was build between 1746 and 1807. It was build near the old castle. Together with the Schlossplatz its the center of the city of Stuttgart. Today it's the seat of the ministry. One of the fountains on the Schlossplatz. I'm sorry, but there's no wather in the winter. Here you could see a part of the christmas marked and the Königsbaupassagen. The main entry of the christmas marked. Left side there's the old castle. The Stiftskirche an popular emblem of Stuttgart. The christmas market. There were lots of things to see. It was so interresting. Look so much bullets! In the back you could see another part of the old castle. Our last stop after shopping and watching. The finish christmas village. We drank some glases of Glögi. It was very tasty. By for now Hugs Remy |

Hello there!
Today nuriayasmin needed to get some things done in Mannheim, a neighbouring town of Heidelberg. First we took a bus to Heidelberg Main Station, then a train to Mannheim Main Station and then a tram to the city centre. This is what Mannheim Main Station looks like: A market took place opposite of the train station and we bought some fruits. This is the fountain in the city centre. Unfortunately it's not on in winter. We also passed Mannheim Palace which was built in the 18th century but only served as a residence for a couple of decades. Today there's a museum inside and it's home of the university. It's really huge, what you see on the pictures shows only a small part of the Palace. We had planned to take a walk along the river Rhine but it suddenly started to rain that terribly that we preferred to go home. On the way from the bus stop back to the house, there were still dark clouds in the sky but later on the sun came out. Well, we were back home, stayed there for the rest of the day and I ate some delicious "Berliner". Remy. |

Hi Mum
Today I'd like to introduce Sammy to you, one of the cats who's living here. He's very friendly and very furry. Nuriayasmin taught me how to knit and so I'm helping her with these socks for her sponsored child in Mongolia. She says winters in Mongolia are extremely cold and so the girl will surely love the socks. We also wrote some postcrossing postcards and a letter to Sweden. Did you know that Swedish, Danish and Norwegian are so closely related that those languages are mutually understandable? Nuriayasmin writes to her Swedish penpal in Norwegian and receives an answer written in Swedish. There are differences in vocabulary and spelling, of course but it's not really a problem. In Norwegian "How are you?" means "Hvordan har du det?". If the weather stays fine, we're going to have a look around Heidelberg tomorrow. Keep fine, Remy |

Dear Mum
Guess what happened yesterday. Remember that I told you about our plans to have a look around Heidelberg? Well, nuriayasmin got ready and asked me to slip into the pocket of her jacket which I did. It was warm and cosy there .... and very quiet around me. After a while I had a look out of the pocket and realized that I was still at home - all alone. I had been forgotten!! Can you imagine that. When nuriayasmin returned, she was quite agitated because she thought she had lost me somewhere on the way to town. She was very relieved when she found me safe at home and apologised many times. When she left she had changed her mind about the jacket she wanted to wear and had simply forgotten that I was already sitting in the pocket of the jacket she had first chosen. Well, our trip to Heidelberg city centre is postponed now but surely not cancelled. We go next week when nuriayasmin has finished working night shifts. Have a nice weekend, Remy |

Hi Mum
How are you? I'm fine. Today I accompanied nuriayasmin to town. She went to Tai Chi school and then we took a walk along the river Neckar and crossed the Old Bridge. The sun was shining but it was very cold and windy so our walk didn't last very long. Greetings from Remy |
nuriayasmin nuriayasmin70@gmail.com Posted Jan 31, 2012, 9:23 pm |
Today we said good-bye to Claire Squirrel who's travelling to another German host. Hope she'll have a nice time there.

Dear Mum
Today an envelope with the typical ToyVoyager smell (grin) arrived so Ohkwari, Kazumi and I gathered around it. Kazumi was the most curious of us and finally took some scissors and cut the envelope open. First a lot of delicious sweets fell out of the envelope. Yummie. There was also a note and Ohkwari read it to us. But where was the TV? We gathered around the envelope again and suddenly a small green rabbit peaked out. The rabbit's name was Králi and it was his very first journey. He shared some of his sweets with me. Bye, Remy |

Dear Mum
Last night Králi and I accompanied nuriayasmin to work. She's a nurse at a psychiatric clinic. Here are some impressions of the ward where she works: It was funny to stay awake all night long and then go to bed in the morning. All in all the night was quiet, we got just one new patient and those who were already there slept most of the time. I'm looking forward to coming home soon. Bye, Remy |

I'm coming home. I had a great time with my three hosts on this Round Robin and hope I can travel more in the future. Kazumi, Ohkwari and Králi told me good-bye and wished me a good journey. I will miss them but I'm also looking forward to seeing you soon. Remy |
