Trissa Posted Dec 11, 2011, 3:55 pm |
My partner had a birthday recently. She was presented with many bouquets of flowers. I like to be photographed against the background colors. I think I look good among the roses. |
Trissa Posted Dec 11, 2011, 4:32 pm |
In addition to travel, I love postcards and stamps from different countries.
My partner and I gather a collection of postcards. I always watch what cards have come to us and what we'll send postcards. |

Trissa Posted Jan 9, 2012, 7:22 pm |
Hi!
This afternoon we went for the center of Moscow. Running past the Cathedral of Christ the Savior (fluoride number 1) and a historical museum (photo number 2), I took a few photos. |
Trissa Posted Jan 11, 2012, 7:37 pm |
Hi! Today our guest arrived Pino. It was late at night after work. We drank tea with sweets and went to sleep. |
Trissa Posted Jan 15, 2012, 3:51 pm |
Hi!
Today I, along with Pino, who came to stay with us, walked along the walls of the Kremlin in the Alexander Garden (inside, we did not have time) and the Red Square. On the square are the place of execution, the monument to Minin and Pozharsky, Lenin's Mausoleum (tomb), near which the Kremlin Wall Necropolis, where the figures are buried (mostly political and military) Soviet Union (in addition, in 1920-30 - e years there were buried as foreign communists). Lenin - is the leader of the Communist patriotic Russia in the 20s of the 20th century. After his death, he was not buried as an ordinary man in the cemetery, and turned it into a mummy, and now he lies in a specially built for him the place - the Mausoleum. In Red Square was a lot of people. All photos taken from the Temple of Vasily Bazhenov and Historical Museum. In the garden we saw Alexander Kutafia tower of the Kremlin, Italian grotto, an obelisk to the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty, converted into a monument to Bolshevik revolutionaries and theoreticians of socialism. Also in the Alexander Gardens is an eternal flame and honor guard. I really enjoyed the walk around the Moscow winter snow. And now a little fotorafy. |
Trissa Posted Jan 19, 2012, 4:29 pm |
Hello!
Today, we again walked to the center of Moscow. Were near the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. This temple was erected in gratitude to God for the salvation of Russia from Napoleon's invasion. In the early 20th century it was demolished and the Communists postroeli at this place a large pool of "Moscow". Once in Russia, came democracy, Cathedral church was demolished and re-otsroyali. Ooh! It's so big! |

Nonnariina Posted Feb 29, 2012, 4:35 pm |
Hello!
Many many greetings from Finland!! I arrived here two days ago and now I have some photos and things to share with you! First of all it´s -3 decrees cold outside. Nonnariina says that it`s not much at all but I still dont want to be outside for long time...Nonnariina told me that a week ago there was -30 decrees cold! Wow... Here in Finland we also have a lot of snow. Somewhere is Nonnariina`s knees high. When I arrived there was two excited toys waiting for me! Peculiar and Sguab are also toyvoyagers and they were waiting for me I found that they were very nice and we talked a lot. Here´s a photo too: Squab is that chicken. I also met a polar bear Fenris. Fenris isn´t toyvoyager, but we had great time and I get change to ride a polar bear! How exciting!! There is also photos of me in the snow and me at door decoration… Tomorrow Nonnariina will travel to Helsinki, capital of Finland and I will go with her! We maybe take pictures, so wait for it! I miss you! Kuzma |
Nonnariina Posted Mar 2, 2012, 1:33 pm |
Hello Mom!
Greetings from Finland! How are you? I`m really fine and I have had great time. Just yesterday arrived new toyvoyager to Nonnariina! He is a fox called Charly6. He is very nice, I think. Today I get change to do some winter things that people in Finland do. I and Charly made a snowman! It was so funny. We also made a snow castle and played hide and seek. In the picture Charly has just found me at snow castle. At afternoon Nonnariina made skis to me and Charly and we went to ski. It was little bit difficult but funny. Nonnariina had made ski track to yard. It was hard to get up hill… And then lose my ski! Charly helped me. And I falled several times. We also slided downhill with skis. We were tired after skiing so we slept little and then we drank warm chocolate. So now I have a lot of pictures to you! Have a great day! -Kuzma- |
Nonnariina Posted Mar 29, 2012, 1:53 pm |
Hello mom!
It has been very long time since Nonnariina last wrote here. She has been very busy, because of her schoolwork. I can`t understand how many tests she has to do... But now Nonnariina has a little break from tests, so here we are Spring is really coming to Finland. Snow is smelting everywhere, I have heard some birds, sun keeps shining and people doesn`t have to wear so many clothes. Spring also changes peoples minds: they are happier and full of energy. But still one day it snowed, wet and big snowflakes... Nonnariina is really waiting for spring, because she likes cycling. She waits that streets are first empty of snow and then empty of sand (there is sand that people wouldn`t fall, when it`s slippery). I have been out many times listening voices of nature and playing. I have also learned some Biology, Mathematics and Swedish, because these are some things Nonnariina learns at school. I have also read many nice books in English (Nonnariina had brought them from library). Black book in first photo tells story from far a way north. Anorether book at the same photo is named The heir of Mistmantle. It`s a story of a little squirrel called Urchin. I also read a funny picturebook of two cats called Mandy and Andy. Nonnariina read to me one book in Finnish. It`s name is Koiramäen talossa, in English it could be Doghill Farm. It tells about speaking dogs, who live like people lived in Finland many many years ago. In the picture one dog is making butter. Those dogs looked quite funny!! The author is Mauri Kunnas, who is quite famous in Finland. You can find more about him at http://www.maurikunnas.net/mauri_kunnas/en_GB/ I hope that you are fine! Hugs!<3 Kuzma |

|
dawoni Posted May 21, 2012, 12:54 pm |
We made a trip to Alpnach (Schlierenrüti). The Schlierenrüti is one of the alluvial zones of national importance. It's fantastic in summer, when kids can play in the river.
It's also very nice for bicycling. Look a Blower-Flower... ...and the some flower in yellow... ...relaxing on a "Stone-Island". ...oh, I'm so tired now... |
dawoni Posted May 28, 2012, 8:47 am |
The great day was come. I could go to the soccer Swiss Cup final. My favourite team FC Lucern played against FC Basel.
The Swiss Cup is a football (soccer) cup tournament that has been organised annually since 1926 by the Swiss Football Association (SFV-ASF). The final was held in The Stade de Suisse (Wankdorf) in Berne. The Stade de Suisse was built on the grounds of the former Wankdorf Stadium, which was demolished in 2001. The new stadium has a capacity of 32,000 spectators, all covered seats. Integrated into the roof are solar panels with a yearly production of 1'200'000 kWh. It was a pity, but my favourite team lost the game (4:2 Penalty shootout), but we really had a fantastic soccer night! |
dawoni Posted Jun 11, 2012, 9:44 pm |
We made a trip to Felsenegg. It's the only cable car in the Canton of Zürich. Felsenegg is locatet at 800 meters over sea level with a stunning view over the city of Zürich, lake Zürich and the snowcapped Alps.
And then, I found this funny house with this crazy windows... |

It has an elevation of 1920 meters. The main attractions of this resort are skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking and rock climbing. It can be reached by use of a gondola lift.
The Lake Melchsee with its new lift. The Fruttli-Train station. A wonderful blue flower (Gentiana). SNOW! A nice blue Gentiana. |

Hi, I like to show you the wonderful city of Lucerne. It's really a very beautiful city. ...let's have a look:
That's a very new building. It's the new University of Lucerne. It opend last year. The railway station. The beautiful Lake Lucerne... ...with one of its famous steamer. The KKL (Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Luzern). The Wagenbach Fountain in front of the KKL. The world famous Chapel Bridge (Kappelbrücke). The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning diagonally across the Reuss River. As part of the bridge complex, the Chapel Bridge includes the octagonal 43 m tall Wasserturm, which literally translates to "water tower". The Kapellbrücke almost burned down on August 18, 1993, destroying two thirds of its interior paintings. Shortly thereafter, the Kapellbrücke was reconstructed and again opened to the public on April 14, 1994 for a total of $2.1 million dollars A very nice painted house. It's the Fritschgi-House or also the "Swiss House of carnival". It tells not only Fritschi's history, it also reflects the Lucerne Carnival. That was my city walk. I hope you enjoyed it. |

hello mommy!
today i decided to go to the town centre by train. first stop was potsdamer platz, a very new and modern business and shopping district with malls, cinemas and a musical theatre. they have told me that berlin has a big underground system. i like underground trains. this is a good rehearsal for my live mission for the london tube, you know. here comes a train. i took it to a yellow lit station. this is the front of an old underground train. when i stepped to the surface i first saw a large television tower. i visited the ruin of an old church. and then i had a snack in an asia shop. this was called MAMA, i have no idea what it was, but yummy. in a small backyard i met gwenelle, one of the other voyagers at my host's home. we decided to do the city walk together: this spree river. in the background you see the television tower at alexander square. there we would go. beer advertisment: "berlin, you are so wonderfull". and here we were: berlin, alexander square with the large tv-tower. do you know what television means in english? it is far looking. thus it is a far looking tower. funny, hah? and this world time clock. going around it you can see what's the time in every place in the world. i showed gwenelle what's the time in my home town: moskau is german for MOCKBA. then gwenelle wanted to show me the time in luxembourg. but it was not listed on the clock. it is in the same time zone as oslo and amsterdam. this is alexander square with a department store and high rise park in hotel. this is the fountain of peace of the peoples of the world. poooo, what a name. as you see, people like to come to this fountain and sit on it together peacefully. other side of alexander square. alexander square also has got a large underground station. i asked gwenelle to wait, so i could visit this station. it is really big with many stairs and platforms. three underground lines meet here. i had some trouble finding the right stairs to the surface where gwenelle was waiting. this is far looking tower again. hoooo, how long it is! and then we came to the red town hall, the seat of the senate of berlin. it is named after its red bricks. behind it we found some old houses. they are some left overs of ancient times. and we have also seen saint nicolai's church. it started to rain heavily, so we decided to go home. see you later mommy, your kuzma |
orangesunshine Posted Jul 9, 2012, 6:22 am |
hello mommy!
yesterday was an interesting day: we - gwenelle and me - went to frankfurt on the oder. there we have met fanti and his friend hannibal. this is the old townhall. the tower of saint mary's church. here we stand by the river oder. on the other side is poland. this is saint nicolai's church. then we had the idea to cross the river ... ... and have a look in slubice in poland. view back to frankfurt. look mommy: we are 2000 km away from home. 60 km away from berlin, "the town of peace". later in the evening we went to kostrzyn in poland. it used to be a german town that was destroyed in the last world war. this is how it looked like. now: only some streets ... ... and left overs of buildings. this was very spooky. on out way back to berlin we stopped at these beautiful sun flowers. see you later mommy, your kuzma |
orangesunshine Posted Jul 14, 2012, 10:06 am |
hello mommy!
yesterday we - gwenelle and me - visited a real castle. it was the citadel of spandau, the best preserved renaissance fortress in germany. this is albrecht the bear, the first german marquis of brandenburg many many years ago. when lived here, this fortress wasn't even built. some parts of it lay in ruins. here they stored lots of counts, marquises and kings. they have got so old, that they were petrified. and now nobody knows were to put them. the citadel also had a secret little harbour. and a smith's workshop. this is the main tower of the citadel: julius's tower. we decided this was a good time and place for a pic nic. ok: plate is empty, let's move further. by the way: fanti and his friend hannibal were also here. look what we found: a pilory. an ancient punishment instrument: in the hole they put the hand of a delinquent, in the middle his head and in the right his foot. an uncomfortable position! good that we are too small for this. this was the sign to a little open air theatre. lovely greetings from berlin - your kuzma |
orangesunshine Posted Jul 20, 2012, 10:15 pm |
hello mommy!
today we - gwenelle and me - visited the government district of berlin. but first we went to brandenburg gate. this is berlin's most famous sight. the view towards east -far behind you can see the tv-tower at alexander square. reichstagsgebaeude, where the german parliament comes together. then we reached the modern main station. it has platforms underground ... ... a large shopping mall ... ... and platforms overground. what a huge station! let's move further. next to the station is spree river, the river that flows through berlin. what looks like a giant wshing machine there behind is the federal chancellory, the seat of the head of the german government. look what funny building we have found later: the former kongresshalle (conference hall) - now called the house of the cultures of the world. the, the, the ... berliners call it pregnant oyster, guess why! hey look! this cute little castle is bellevue castle, the seat of the federal president. yes, germany has a president as well. don't be afraid mommy, ths is not the way to our marriage. wedding is the name of a district in berlin. after a little five o'clock tea with mr. president we went further to victory column. later we arrived at culture forum. behind us you see the erlin philharmonic building. and here we found a modern quarter with shops, cinemas a musical theatre, hotels and office buildings of steel, concrete and glass. in the middle of the main street we have found stars like on sunset boulevard in hollywood - here with german movie stars. we found an empty star and thought it would be nice to be a star for some minutes! this has been an interesting city walk. lovely greetings from berlin - your kuzma |
orangesunshine Posted Jul 22, 2012, 5:16 pm |
hello mommy!
yesterday we made a nice walk through the town centre of berlin. we started at an interesting building ... ... the russian embassy. then we went to berlin's most famous square: gendarmenmarkt. on the southern side lies the german church. in the centre is the concert house. on the northern side is the french church. it has been built after order of a prussian king, who wanted a church for the french huguenot refugees. we decided to climb the tower ... to have a spectactular view of the town. the square from above. after this we went to saint hedwig's cathedral - the prussian king had also built a church for the catholic people in lutheran prussia. here you can see the headquarters of humboldt university. we had to pass it by having a nice view of tv-tower at alexander square. later this afternoon we took part in a very exciting toyvoyagers' meeting. before the others arrived we enjoyed a cup of cappuccino. and then the others came: a shopping trolley full of monkeys ... then came a big yellow pig, two big blue and two smaller elephants, sheep, hamsters, cats ... group photos this is us in the middle of the crowd. this is me! mommy, we have had a very good party - bye bye, your kuzma |
orangesunshine Posted Jul 22, 2012, 7:00 pm |
hello mommy.
today we were in the district of charlottenburg. we started at the big townhall. charlottenburg was once the richest town in prussia, hence this big building. but there is something even larger: the palace of charlottenburg. it was built as a summer resindence for the kings and queens of prussia - then far away from the big town of berlin. the palace has a very nice park ... ... and this nice tea house "belvedere" (= good view) lovely greetings - kuzma |
orangesunshine Posted Jul 29, 2012, 8:29 am |
hello mommy.
yesterday i have visited the longest remaining part of the berlin wall. since 1990 it is known and famous as the east side gallery. kuzma loves you |
orangesunshine Posted Jul 29, 2012, 10:38 am |
during my stay here in berlin i often used the underground. berlin has a large system, not as large as the moscow metro at home and not so beautiful - but indeed worth a ride!
these are the pictures i have made. this is the station of the newest underground line: very modern. underground and overground system of berlin station from the 1970s advertisement in a very modern train station from the 1980s stations from the early 1900s now i guess i am ready for the london underground! |
