I am Leoshek the lion. I used to be an advertising keychain trinket (I used to have an advertising T-shirt) and my current owner retreived me from a geocache as a trade item. My owner snipped off the keychain and destroyed the T-shirt because she didn't like it. So I'd be more than happy if one of my future hosts could give me a new T-shirt or a sweater. I'm feeling ashamed a bit to be naked. My dream is travelling abroad, but I'm afraid of getting lost, so I prefer to go to European countries only. I would like to see the Eiffel Tower in France, the Atomium in Belgium, the Little Mermaid in Denmark, the Brandenburg Gate in Germany and other famous things and places. My other big wish is to be in a photo with an Olympic mascot. I would really love to meet them (they are my plushy idols) and I also would love to meet small plushy friends in my kechain size (especially a pretty lioness ) My owner collects postcards, so I would like to help her and send her postcards from my trips. I am just a small animal, so I can't write myself, but I hope my hosts will help me. (I expect that my owner will send a card from my home in return.) And I almost forgot to tell, I like travelling by train. |
mailianne Posted Nov 17, 2011, 9:12 am |
Hurray, mailianne added first three places to my travel plan:
19. December - 1. January (Estonia with minnihiiru) 5. January - 31 January (Germany with Takata) 1. May - 20. June (UK with Leslee) |

A tiny doll lent me her pants. They suit me perfectly, don't you think? But unfortunately I have to give them back to her.
And btw. in March I will go to Norway. |

Hi Mummy!
I savely arrived in Lichtenfels today! Thank god the trip took not too much time, it was lousy cold. But I had a warm welcome by the TVs currently living here. Look, there are a lot of TVs in my size! And even smaller, but this little bear is no TV, he lives here permanently with his family. We talked a little bit about what we like and my hostmum explained, that she loves to go by train, too! She goes to work everyday by train, once I can come with her! Hostdad is very nice, too. He just offered me chocolate ice I said YES!!! Byebye, Mummy, hope you´ll miss me to much! Your Leoshek loves you |

What a evening, what a morning!
Yesterday hostmum was at work the whole day and hostdad repaired the tumbler in the cellar. We talked to the plushys living here what to do. Knabber (the big mouse in the cool pink shirt) had an idea! He knew that there is a bottle of mead (honey wine) in the storageroom. We thought about to carry it to the kitchen. We had an idea! We all helped together and it worked! [/tv]Fussel[tv] rolled the bottle into the kitchen. We built a lifting block to lift the bottle on the oven. The dog Solvang tool the bottle on his back and so we could pour the mead in the pot. Ooooooooo, it tasted sooooooooooooo yummie!!! But: the day after was terrible Never ever alcohol... this week |

After we had arrived we bought a postcard for you. It was not easy to choose one I took the most lovely! Immediately I wrote the card. I pressed a kiss on it for you Lots of Love, your Leoshek P.S. Dear mummy!
Great that you received my postcard. Have you got my kiss, too ? Yesterday we made a trip to the most famous castle in the region, the Veste Coburg. It is one of the best preserved castles in Germany. The castle exists since the 13th century and was restored and upgraded a lot of times in its history. Martin Luther, the reformer stood there in 1530 for a few month. We visited the museums. I liked the armory most. I took place in the cannon This was very funny! There was also a collection of sleighs, one with a lion. We took a photo of us After the tourist programme we were in a cafe. I ordered a big chocolate ice! Have a nice week, Mummy! Love you, Leoshek |

It's only one day till Christmas, did you know, mom? We spent day doing last minute shopping, wrapping presents and late we relaxed on computer. Also we did some decorating!
at the end of the day I just wanted to taste these delicious mandarines Tomorrow is Christmas and I can't wait for it! |
minnihiiru Posted Jan 23, 2012, 8:49 pm |
Today is Christmas here and there's no snow outside, actually so few that it doesn't feel like Christmas at all if you look out of the window, more like late autumn or something. But inside it looks like Christmas,Christmas decorations, rooms are cleaned and Christmas smell.
In Estonia there is tradition to go graveyard on 24th December to put candles to your dear one's who are dead for their memory, that they can have light on Christmas Eve.I could join with Mari, she lighted candle for her great-grandma,great granddad and great-greatgrandma.The graveyard was really beautiful in dark with all these candles. Then we walked back home and we had also Christmas table set and food ready,we could enjoy the time around family and we toyvoyagers decided to join. potatoes and black sausage(blood sausage) no me on the pictures, because always camera's batteries get emty in wrong time, but it looked like potatoes, sauerkraut and blood sausage Some time after Christmas time was time to exchange presents. Here it's tradition to sing, read poem or do something in order to get presents =D So,you had to read 5 poems or sing 5 songs if under the tree was 5 presents for you,if more presents, more poems =D You are just used to know Christmas poems! We wish you a merry Christmas! Häid jõule! |

Hey Mummy!
Today it was veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery cold in Germany. Nevertheless we made sightseeing in Lichtenfels. It was a wonderful and sunny day! _Lilly_, Wolley and me studied the map of the historic center. We decided what to see. The first stop was at the baroque city hall. We looked at the emblem over the door. Aaaaaaaaaaaaa! There are two lights and a stone! This stands for Lichten-fels! One view over the market place. Then we went to the museum. But we wanted to enjoy the sun! So our next station was the town gate. There are 3 cannonballs inside. This should remember to the war 1553. Puhhhhhhhhhh, so much informations! Mummy, hope you can come to Lichtenfels, too. It´s a really nice city! Kisses, your Leoshek |

Hey Mummy!
Yesterday we sat together and talked about our plans. I said that my next trip will go to Austria. Bambi will go to Austria in a few weeks, too! And imagine there are 2 austrian TVs at my hosts! Waffels and Herb the Hepp showed me on the map where my journey will go to. Ooooooooooooooo, I will see the alps! They showed me the austria flag. It is easy to remember red-white-red. I learned much about Austria. They say, it is the most beautiful state in the world! I will see Then I had to say goodbye to all fellows. To lovely *-Cookie-* Fussel, Kibblet, Wavy Gravy, Bambi and Lilly, to my teachers Waffels and Herb and to my african friend Wolley. I crawled into my envelope. Byebye Lichtenfels, byebye friends, byebye hostmum and hostdad! Kisses for you, Mummy! And: Hey, Betty! I can´t wait to reach in Austria! Love you all, Leoshek |

I have been GEOCACHING together with hostess and her boyfriend, it was quite exciting, and fun!
You go searching for hidden treasures all over the place, they can be small or big, in a city or in the forrest, you have different types and difficulties, and its FUN! We went to Sweden today, not too far from where im staying, its an outdoor museum here, with old houses from when the Finnish people moved here to this Norwegian and Swedish parts of Finnskogen. This is a big rock, probably got stuck here after the ice meltet many, many, many years ago. But this rock is said to have magical powers!!! If you sit on it, lean on it, or just hold the part of your body that hurts, on to the rock, it is said to heal it Its a very big rock, and the colour makes me think, its not strange that the old Finnish people who came here, and saw it, thought it was healing and magical! They have now made stairs, so you can get onto the rock, its nice for people who have pain in their feet, and need to climb on top of the rock Inside this one, it was 4 little seats to sit on, if the rock is wet from rain, smart! Under me, you see a newspaper article about a man, who did not believe in it, but was on rehabititation after an accident, having much pain in his legs, he had been like that for quite some time. He tried the rock, most for the fun of it, the next day, he was almost all fine! After we had found the geocache (treasure), it was near the rock btw... we stood here to just enjoy the nature, and look around. Isnt it pretty? They even have cabins here you can rent, and have a little vacation here, its very quiet, and close to nature, perfect for vacation, or just a relaxed weekend! At the end of the day, we went to a place where they used to have a little mining area, it was just for a year, in the 1940s, and they were mining muscovite. It was shiny rocks and stuff EVERYWHERE! So pretty! Me, and shiny rocks So, this was two of the 5 geocaches we found today, the first one was a single, a very easy to be found box, and the last one is a earth cache, you dont find a box, but a PLACE, and by being there, you can answer questions, and have pictures taken as prrof you have been there, and then you may log the find online I had a GREAT day, and hope to go geocaching again with hostess soon! Hope you enjoyed the (belayed) pictures! Love, Leoshek |

Hi mom!
Today its midsummer in Norway, its the longest day of the year, and its light all through the night! In Sweden they really celebrate it with abig bonfire, good food, family and friends, music, dancing and have fun all night long to celebrate the summer! In Norway this is not so much of a tradition anymore, but its always nice to come together and spend the longest day together! We were invited by friends of hostess to go fishing, and this is what i saw on our trip, enjoy! We were waiting at a beach, for the boat to pick us up, it was their friends husband, he used lots of time to get there with the boat, cause they have an electric motor, took ages But we had time to look around, and it was pretty!!! This was a local beach, and they had this floating dock, with a table on it, for on warm summer nights. Norway is pretty Pictures taken from the boat... I tried my best, but was not lucky at all I dont know if it was me, bringing bad luck, or it was too late in the evening, no fishy biting, at all It was about 21:30 when we were here, but we decided to try on another place, just along the shore, maybe that would help! So we tried our luck at a little dam a few kilometers further away. Also a very nice, quiet and pretty place! BOOH! Hahaha :P (I was bored...sorry....) We didnt catch a single fish, but the mosquitos and those little irritating flies they call "Knott" caught us, several times!!! Hostess got all itchy and irritated, and hid inside her jacket, i tried to get inside aswell, but they found us anyway, spraying ourselves with liters of anti mosquito spray did not help Hostess and i took a walk to a near by bridge, the mosquitos got too many and too annoying... It was raining a little the whole evening aswell, not a cold evening, but not much reminded me of summer...still hoping for some warmer days! Last picture before we left for the cabin and had a talk, listened to music and ate candy! We went home at about 01:00, was in bed at about 02:30, i was dead tired, but seen lots of beautiful places! Love, Leoshek |

Hello! I arrived in York, England!
Actually, I arrived yesterday but I forgot to make a noise when I landed on the floor so no one knew I was there! It was ok though, I was tired and just had a really good rest. It was nice to get out of the envelope in the end. My new host was all dressed in her running clothes when she found me so the first thing I did was to go out for a jog. I knew I was in England when I saw this red post box It was early in the morning and the sun was still rising. When I go back from my jog, I went on the Wii Fit, but not for long because my host said I was making her weigh too much. Finally I got a freshen up after my journey and jog |
Leslee Posted Sep 11, 2012, 9:28 pm |
Well, I only just got to York but already I am going out for the day to Bridlington.
I went in a car driven by my host's father. We went through many pretty villages but we drove so fast I couldn't get a good photo for you! At Bridlington there is a big promenade to walk along. I could see people playing on the beach and I wanted to do that too. It was a lovely day but the sea was cold!! and the crabs were tiny Oh, this one is a little bit bigger I walked along the beach to see the white cliffs. It got a bit chilly but the walk warmed me up. Eventually I found the perfect thing to keep me warm Then, time to go home again before the sun sets. The farmers were still busy harvesting What a busy first day. |
Leslee Posted Sep 11, 2012, 9:42 pm |
It is Tuesday. On Tuesday my host picks the theme for the Flickr group Toy Sunday and I got to help!
My Pet Monster was pulling the theme out of the pot, and I got to watch and was even in the photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/hannhell/7972844546/ The theme chosen was Heroes. My host says that I will get to see lots of photos of toys dressed like super heroes by Sunday. |
Leslee Posted Sep 12, 2012, 10:12 pm |
Today was my host's afternoon off work, so I went with her for a walk/run into town.
I am nearly at the town center... and it is not much further until I came to the York Minster (3D map of the Minster) I learned that the big round window is called the Rose window and it was damaged by fire after lightening struck in 1984 and has been restored. It is Northern Europe's largest Gothic Cathedral http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York_Minster It was a bit rainy so I didn't stay there too long. I went for a walk along Stonegate and saw The Teddy Bear Shop. Then next door was the Beatrix Potter shop! I was a bit hungry so my host bought me a cheese straw from the bakers for 10 pence. It was very cheesy and I had to eat it fast because it started raining heavily. I stayed in my host's back pack to keep dry. |
Leslee Posted Sep 12, 2012, 10:20 pm |
My host made me a sleep suit!!!
She said that I had to have pyjamas to sleep in Yewlee's house. Yewlee I can sleep in her bed now and she will sleep on the floor. |
Leslee Posted Oct 17, 2012, 9:37 pm |
My host made me a sweater!
So I wore it to go out into town. There were some soldiers outside the Minster but we didn't know what they were doing. There were too many people to see properly. Then I went to Acomb (about 10 minutes away on my host's bike) to see this windmill. It has been restored and looks great. |
