By: cocoaby

We went to Kamakura, about 20 minutes get on train.
Kamakura is a small city and a very popular tourist destination.
We went to see the "Great Buddha" in Kotoku-in.
I was surprised that there are windows in the back of the Buddha.
Why is there a window?
I think It was ventilation, tourist can be go to the Buddha's in body.
We went get on Enoden(Gotochi-card).
Enoshima Electric Railway, familiarly known as Enoden, has 100 years of history.
However, it was very very cold, weather is very bad.
If weather is good, We were able to see Mount Fuji the tallest mountain in Japan.

By: cocoaby

We then went to Hasedera Temple.
Hasedera is a temple of the Jodo sect, that is most famous for its statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy. The statue shows Kannon with eleven heads, each representing a characteristic of the goddess. The 9.18 meter tall, gilded wooden statue is regarded as one of the largest wooden sculpture in Japan, and can be viewed in the temple's main building, the Kannon-do Hall.
It was not allowed to take photo.

Tokyo, Japan - 27th April 2013

By: cocoaby

Hi,Mum!
It’s been a long time.
My host was very busy two weeks so far.
But I am very well.

We came to Tokyo today!
Tokyo is the capital of Japan.

And we visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
There was a wonderful thing around the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
Flat stone falling from the sky, Circle of stone(maybe tiger used in the circus) , two best friends ladybug and two dove of good friend.

There are observation room free to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
45 floors above ground and there is a 202m height.
Fortunately so, I was able to see  tallest tower  "Tokyo Skytree" and the tallest mountain the "Mount Fuji" in Japan .

At last, I saw "Kumade"called lucky ones.
Kumade is wide rake that can gather up a large pile of fallen leaves and other garden litter in a single sweep.
Kazari Kumade, a gorgeous ornamental version often handmade by traditional craftsmen, is believed to "rake in"wealth, fortune, business success, and even family safety.
You can obtain Kazari Kumade at Torinoichi (Rooster Fairs), held in various places in Tokyo including the Asakusa area in November.
Generally, Torinoichi are bustling with people from all over the nation and the world.
Torinoichi are regarded as seasonal festivals announcing the arrival of winter.
:D
