Hello,
I am Nathalie, a curious duckling. I will start my journey soon.

Today I went to the municipal park with my mentor.



I love to sit between pretty and fragrant flowers.



I met ducks at the pond in the park.





I will go to Florida with Theodore soon.

When my Mummy came home in her lunch break she told me that I would leave today, with Theodore. It's a good idea to leave today because the weather has gone really bad.



Theodore packed his things and then we were ready to take off. We hopped into the envelope. We are already on our way to sunny Florida.

Hi Mommy!

Theodore and I made it to Miami.  My host was out of town, so we had to hang out at the post office until today, when we were picked up and brought home.  I will update some more later as it is getting late now.

Hi Mommy!

Whoever said Florida is the Sunshine State has never been to Florida during a tropical thunderstorm!  It has been raining for a week now!  I'm glad I'm a duckling and like getting wet!  My host did manage to get a few pictures of me at her house.

Hello Mommy!

It stopped raining for a little while, so I went to Emerald Acres Stables in Horse Country!  I met a very nice miniature donkey:

I went to play down by the lake today, and I met some lovely little ducklings, just like me!

I went to the library today!



Before I went into the library, I stopped to smell this beautiful crinum lily, and it smells absolutely divine!

I went to Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden today!  I saw lots of flowers and lots of statues by Fernando Botero and other sculptors.  I took lots and lots of pictures!

Hi Mommy!

Today I went for a walk in Matheson Hammock Park!  It's a very big park with a lake, picnic pavilion, lots of pretty oak trees, and a barbecue pit that looks like a hobbit house.  Sometime there are alligators in the lake, but I didn't see any today.  I did see two iguanas, though!

Hi Mommy,

My host is taking me on a road trip!  We left Miami today and drove all the way to Savannah, Georgia!  We walked along the riverfront in Savannah and had dinner at One Eyed Lizzies.  We also went for a nice walk in the historic downtown section of Savannah.

Hi Mommy,

Today we drove to Newland, North Carolina.  We will be staying here for awhile.  Newland is in the Smoky Mountains and it's very pretty here.

This morning I went to see Elk River and Elk Falls. I had to hike along the river until I came to the falls.

Hi Mommy,

I went to Grandfather Mountain today.  Grandfather Mountain has a mile-high swinging bridge, wildlife habitat, and my favorite, a fudge shop!  I saw bears, otters, deer, cougars, and a bald eagle in the wildlife habitat.  I tried the fudge and it was delicious!

I went to Blowing Rock this morning.  Blowing Rock is a beautiful resort town in the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina.



The view of the mountains is beautiful from up here:


There are lots of waterfalls around here like this one:


After admiring the view from the blowing rock, I went to see Moses Cone Memorial Park.  Moses Cone and his wife Bertha owned an apple orchard here in the early 1900's.

After touring the house, I walked along a horse trail that goes down the mountain to Bass Lake.  I didn't go all the way to the lake because it was too far for a little duckling like me to go (it's 2.3 miles to the lake!).

Today we went window shopping at Banner Elk and I saw lots of pretty flowers!





On the way back to Newland, we stopped at this ice cream shop!  Yummy, I love ice cream!
