The last place I visited was an art exposition... though I think it was boring, too abstract for my taste, lol




...And this is where my trip in Chile ends...
I had a very nice time here and I am going to miss it!


GOOD BYE CHILE!

After a long trip, I have arrived in Southern California, United States!  I made it safe and sound.


Look it's Gray, Pink, Gwyn, Grumpy and Candy Cotton.  I also heard about a Drowsy Lamb, but she was asleep.


Nice to be greeted by so many friendly people.


Ready for our next adventure.  Look out world, here we come.

I just got to Los Angeles, and Candy Cotton, Grumpy and I are already taking a plane to our next adventure.


You know, Candy Cotton, it was nice of them to get us a seat to share on the airplane.


Grumpy, can you see the airport?


I am going to a casino in Las Vegas.


Time to check out the Mirage Casino.


None of us can reach the machine.


Which button do I press?


Candy Cotton, you pull the lever.


Now it's my turn.  This is fun.

Time to take a break and hit the buffet.

This was a fun trip.  We are back safe and sound in Los Angeles.  I can't wait for what is next!

It is a cold and rainy day so our hosts decided to make a nice banana treat.


Grumpy, they have bananas and blueberries.  This is going to be good.


Looks like Pink Bunny, Grumpy and I are going to have some banana bread with blueberries.


Be careful up there, Pinky.


It looks and smells great.


Time to eat.

Wow, a marathon! That sounds exciting.


Nursy and I are at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.




Lots of people around.




The street is closed off to car traffic so we can all just walk around.


Nursy and I like the palm trees by the road.


I wonder if they will let me play their game.


Don't worry, its just a shrub.


I am between the dinosaurs.  We had a fun day. 

Nursy and I went to MacArthur Park.  It is right next to Downtown Los Angeles.  It has been in some movies before as well.


There is a big lake in the middle with a fountain.  The Los Angeles metro has a stop right next to it. 


Lots of birds hanging out in the park.  It was still fun.

Boy that place looks familiar. . .


It is the Fisher house from the HBO television series "Six Feet Under."



I don't see Michael C. Hall around.


I guess no one is home, but this was fun. 

Its dark, where are we?


We are in the metro, waiting for a train.


All aboard, to downtown Los Angeles.


We made it.


Lots of people and traffic in the city.




Wow, I like all the tall buildings.


Nursy came with me.


Smile.


Ready to head back.


It looks like I am flying.  This was a fun trip. 

We saw this nice alcove with benches and a fountain. 

Today I came home after a really exciting trip. I had a great time in Turkey, Chile and the USA. Thank you very much bruehwuerfelchen, Leslie and pinkandgray.

I met Cheerio and Drashuven, both from California. They were glad to hear some news from their home state.



Now I will stay at home for a month or so, enjoying the coming summer. I'm sure I will continue travelling in autumn.

I got an invitation to visit Spain once more - Barcelona this time

My Mummy told me about Barcelona, I am really curious.



I am looking foreward to meet my next host.

Hello mum and everyone!

How are you??

I'm well!! happy to start my adventures around the world 

I've arrived this morning in Barcelona. I'm so happy! everyone is very nice here and as soon as I got out from the package,I had a welcome party prepared by my new friends here!



You know me...I'm an active chipmunk so...This afternoon I needed to jump trees!!



We walked a bit around my host's neighbourhood and I saw the town hall of her district. It's beautiful,huh??





And @Anxova explained me the flags of town hall are (from left to right): The flag of Barcelona,Spain,Catalonia,and Europe! Lot of flags for a town hall,right?? hahaha

Well, today I'm a bit tired so I'm going to bed now!

Hello mum and everyone!!

Today although it was raining,I had my first impressions of the city!



We were in Born neighbourhood!



This picture shows Carrer Montcada (Montcada Street) it's a famous street because you can find Picasso Museum there,or what my hosts says is the same "people and peole doing an XXXL queue and at the end of the street,the museum".

Near this street I could find Fossar de les Moreres (Mulberry Graveyard), a place of great symbolic significance where the weight of history takes centre stage. Here, right in the centre of the Born neighbourhood, was the site of the graveyard for the fallen during the 1714 Siege of Barcelona. For the Catalans, the fossar is more than a memory. It is a homage...



@Anxova told me why is a very important place for Catalan history and culture: The 1714 Siege of Barcelona lasted more than a year and ended with the fall of Barcelona to the troops of Philip V. Catalonia had lent its support to Archduke Charles of Austria as the successor to the Spanish throne, while Castile was favourable to the accession of Philip of Anjou.

On September 11  in 1714, Barcelona surrendered to Philip V marking the beginning of a period of repression for the Catalans with the abolition of laws and institutions. That's toooo sad!!



The monument bears the inscription “In the cemetery of the mulberry trees no traitor lies” In catalan is "Al Fossar de les Moreres no s'enterra cap traïdor"

And the 11th September has become the National Day of Catalonia, La Diada!!! @Anxova told me is a very exiciting day every year.

I'm so glad to saw such an important place for my host and Catalonian people!

Hello mum and everyone!

Today I was in the harbour with my host! It was a rainy day (Spain is not always sunny I guess) but anyway, I had lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!!



What a big ship!!!




I love this big shrimp!!!! its awesome!!! My host told me it was designed by Juan Mariscal. Mariscal is a Catalan artist, author, for example, the mascot or pet of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic games

Hello mum and everyone!

After some days raining, today sun shines!

My host and I went to the city centre and walking around, we saw a street market dedicated to antiques.



I don't like anything,and my host neither! hahahahahaha

After walking a bit more,guess what...I saw Palau de la Música Catalana!



My host told me that on 2009, the Palau de la Música Catalana suffered an unforeseen calamity!!!! a police inspection that made the news headlines on the television and radio and made front page of all the daily newspapers!!!! Initial data spoke of a possible diversion of funds from the Orfeó Català of 2.3 million Euros involving the Former president of the Palau de la Música, Fèlix Millet, and four others.



After some initial investigations, and other judicial issues, my host saw in news that  Fèlix Millet, spend 200,000 euros from the Palau on daughters weddings: Funds paid 120,000 euros toward the wedding of one of the daughters of the former president of the Foundation, Felix Millet, and another 80,000 on his other daughter. And that's only the beginning of investigations!!!

That's disgusting and shameful!!!!! Isn't it??

Well, with this story I had enough and we went back home to have lunch
